I know a couple buddies who would be pleased if they just rereleased the original game.

I'm sure they're looking to sell more than 2 copies, and that's about as much business they'd do were they to re-release the old version with no changes. Those old plastic WZ miniatures are dreadful by today's standards.
Hoping for no Kickstarter this time around and looking forward to the Ezoghoul at the least; the 1E metal one is one of my favorite miniatures ever!

Barzam and I both happened to really enjoy Siege of the Citadel back when we were kids.
I always felt it was a poor man's Space Crusade, but that was probably just me being salty that I never found a copy of Space Crusade in the US growing up (and refuse to pay ebay level prices now for a decades old game).
I wonder if the new versions will retain having a 3d citadel in the middle of it.

Looks cool, I like this type of game in a box. Looking forward to more info! Thanks OP for letting us know about this set.
Hopefully they get some of the original artists (Paul Bonner, Les Edwards) to work for the project EDIT: They have Adrian Smith so far. Great

This was actually a very cool boardgame when it came out originally. Played it several times.

Doubt they'd get bonner back, he's moved on to greater (or just other, depending on your views) things. But Paradox entertainment owns all the old artwork he made for the setting so they can use all that.

If this is yet another entry in the recent flood of "Oldhammer" style games, I'll be steering clear. A modern adaptation with a modern aesthetic would be interesting though, and potentially marketable beyond the small group of fans who played it the first time around.

Modiphius has done excellent work on their Achtung! Cthulhu models, so this might be worth looking into. The original game does have a good reputation.
Those old sculpts, though, are now extremely dated, and barely worth looking at even for scrap bits. (I used to own the game, never played it, and still have a few of the minis.) I can't imagine they'd return to them, or that style.
Prodos and Parente, on the other hand, currently leave me cold. I'm not supporting anything Prodos makes until I get the AVP minis that I payed for a long time ago. There's still time to make good on that, but I've never had worse treatment from a minis company. It's as if I'm trying to buy miniatures from the Mafia.
As for Parente, his involvement means that every female mini will be presented as a sex object, making them useless in my household. If there's only a couple of female figures, then that's not too big of a hit. But if there are alot, then no, I'm not paying for them and will skip the product.

I suspect it is a case of Modiphius expanding their rpg license to include MC board games. To do this, their best bet is to get the figures designed by Prodos (who already have the digital models for all the MC units so far) and the game manufactured by the factory Paolo works with.
If this is the breakdown, we should expect some amazingly detailed single piece plastic figures with some really nice quality components.

There are a lot more than 'two' fans of the MC universe. If you were trying to be witty - you failed. If you simply didn't know, consider yourself enlightened.
I'd be delighted if they got Bonner to do more art for them, even if it is unlikely. Re-using the old stuff I expect, but I'd love to see some new stuff from him. His stuff for Mercury/Mishima and Venus/Bauhaus was colorful and awesome. He also did some awesome work for Rackham in his time, as well. One of my favorite artists in gaming.
Getting Adrian Smith is a great step. I am also curious to see how they change or 'update' the game itself. I assume new eye-popping figs will be standard - if it's the same stuff from the original set, that won't be good.
But since Modiphius is full-steam-ahead with the MC RPG, I suppose it was only a matter of time before they (or Prodos?) tried to pop out a board game.
Will be watching this one.

(Sorry for posting in an old thread, but it seems like the right thing to do )
I love this game!
How would a remake work/play, if you make a guess? Would it be using the same mechanics, would it be "compatible" with the original?
I still got my original copy with all pieces intact (amazing, since we played it 24/7 back then). I played a couple of times the last few years, and it is always a big hit.

It probably has to do with Stefan Kopinski, who along with his brother, did loads of excellent art for GW. Automatically Appended Next Post: Also, oh gak, Paolo Parente is involved? Not sure if I want to get this now, if it ever happens at all.

So considering circumstances, is it 100% likely that the remake will be released?

I don't see why not. The sculpts will be existing Warzone models, or extensions to the existing lines, and Modiphus hasn't had an issue with its previous products (as far as I know).

Modiphius said that there will be KS fully controlled by them for SotC and that miniatures [plastic] will be produced in China = everyone who was worried about Prodos [and who wouldn't be?] can sleep easy.

I don't Think there is any reason to worry about Prodos as a caster. The only problems I've Heard concern their own games, not the minis they make for others.

Picked up this game and Dungeon at a mall toy store for I believe fifteen dollars altogether and played Siege quite a bit. One of the best ten bucks I ever spent on gaming, wish I knew what happened to it as it just vanished.

They did some of the KOW Blaise's on dinos. Mine like other had some large gates and the legs bend over time due to weight of the model. I have since drilled a hole through the leg and placed a metal rod to keep him from sniffing the ground.
