We tend to stick to Steamroller scenerios for our games but has anyone written/drawn up their own scenerios?

How did they work out? Did they end up being too unbalanced? Anything I should bare in mind when creating my own?

(These will be for friendly games only between good mates! )

Need more 's in my life!

I create custom stuff all the time.

Best advice I can give is to start by basing it on existing scenarios. Then play it for balance.

Though sometimes the funnest ones are intentionally biased towards one side.

Really it all comes down to who you pay with and how serious you are about things. If you want to expiriment together then go for it.

Look at other games, like Infinity and Malifaux for great ideas for scenarios. I'm working on a few scenarios myself. One is for Convergence where they have to hold a harmonic tower long enough from the enemy.

FWIW Privateer has an upcoming mini-league next year that is supposed to have Attacker/Defender type scenarios. I honestly think that's one major thing that WM/H is lacking over say 40k: They should have a booklet that has more appropriate scenarios that can be themed or strung together to make campaigns/narratives. SR scenarios, while great for balanced competitive games, feel way too bland and abstract and are clearly built to be played as a game, with little care for the thought behind the battle itself.

I hope this is true. I'd love more imaginative scenarios. I make some up myself, but I'd love official ones.
One scenario a fellow Merc player came up with is one side has to save civilians (Kind of like capture the flag, but with a lot of flags) and the other side has to kill them.
