Here's a video tutorial I made showing how to get a textured muscle look to Ork skin. Paint equivalents given in the YT description box.

Can you post some pictures of the finished model? That video, while shot well, doesn't show any end results of your labor. For me, at least, what that video showcased was how to paint stripes on Orc skin. It looked less like muscle striation and more like tattoo or warpaint. I don't know if that's due to the actual colors used or the lack of context with the rest of the skin and surrounding colors present. I would very much like to see how this method looks when all is said and done. I can certainly see what you're going for and it looks similar to muscle striation I've seen in the past, but I really would like to see more.

Hi, I actually haven't finished that one yet. However, here's a finished one showing the same kind of idea on a different mini.

Your skill with a brush is excellent, however he looks like a killer watermelon, haha.

Despite that skinned look, with a wrong direction of the biceps' muscle fibers though, it's an awesome paintjob!

Yeah there's a few that go in the wrong direction, sadly. The legs and biceps for example. Still looks cool though

It looks definitely more than cool, I wish I had the same patience like you to paint this way

I would like to see more lighting on your tutorials. Not sure if it is just me but it is hard to see what you are doing while painting due to lighting. I like the effect but the contrast on the stripes/muscle banding is a little high.

I do what the voices in my wifes head say...

Yeah that's fair criticism. I'm actually going to be getting an hdmi recorder box so I can start using my dslr for videos. I'll probably add some more lights too; so the quality will improve a fair bit once I get rid of my crappy webcam setup.
