Hey guys, does anyone know of a reputable terrain supplier? I am looking for pre-painted pre-made stuff. I am unable to make my own currently and searching eBay has turned up little to nothing. Thanks!

What kind of terrain? Sci-Fi, fantasy, steam punk?

battlefield in a box
and malifaux now has some really neat stuff, but you have to be sure it says "colored" on the box to be prepainted.

Remember: It's terrain of colour, not "coloured" terrain ...

Plastcraft also do a coloured range, too.

Aquariums and used toys are probably the cheapest places you'll find hefty prefab stuff.

How is nobody bringing up Tablescapes by SecretWeaponMiniatures? I didn't see a urban street terrain that I actually liked until that came out, and now that it's out, the only problem I have is what to put on it!

Because he asked for prepainted in the first post.

The DUST Tactics buildings work well with SWM's urban terrain.

To the OP, battlefield in a box makes excellent terrain. Ruins and hills.

No worries. I once dropped and kicked my keys (by accident) under my locked dorm room door.

"gak. Now what?"

If you can settle for something relatively simple and cheap as a stop-gap, here's a way to make Tau terrain very easily.

1. Hab Domes.
Buy some cheap plastic Japanese miso soup bowls, or acrylic picnic bowls. Spray them with textured stone coloured paint.

2. Alien towers of unknown function
Collect up used plastic shampoo bottles, food cartons and the like. Cement them on to old CDs in interesting layouts if they need a base. Spray them with textured paint.

I did tons of Tau terrain like that and fancied it up with weathering, bitz, and markings., which made it longer to finish, but if you stick to a simple spray over the unadorned base item you can do them very quickly and cheaply.

Good Ser, do you by any chance have some pictures of those lying about?

Any of the MDF building kits and a can of grey primer will get you a good result that you can come back to when you have a bit more time.

I got a set like this

http://gravengames.co.uk/industrial-terrain-set-review/

with some Halfords grey primer it looks quite good.

There are a few in my gallery.

This shows the soup bowls and some stuff made from shampoo containers, and some things made from large yoghurt containers.

The cream colour pod things in the middle of the table are ready-meal steamed prawn dim sum containers. I bought them on special offer, scoffed the dim sums and spray painted the plastic tubs. That's what I call good value terrain!

GF9 has some ruined gothic terrain pieces. Unfortunately they seem to have discontinued both their desert cliff/rocks and their more classic ruined building corner pieces.

However, the Pegasus gothic building kits are a great way to build a structure easily. They aren't pre-painted, but a spray of black spray paint followed by a grey drybrush is about as easy as they come. They come in intact and ruined versions http://www.thewarstore.com/pegasus-hobbies-imex-platformer-hexagon.html

There are alot of folks who will build and assemble terrain for you as well, but it's not going to be cheap. I've done it a few times myself and for it to be worthwhile, you're usually looking at 3 times the cost of the base kit or even more.

Here's a guy that did something similar with plastic containers, a bit of card and cross stich mesh and really simple paint scheme. A bit more Star Wars-ish, but useful anyway.

One of the neat things that he does is in many places instead of adding an additional layer or cutting sections apart, he just scores the card. Makes construction even faster.
