Glad to see that! Thanks for the support! Working on Calvary and Spellcaster stretch goals, so the more the merrier! :-)

Btw we put all of these Halflings on Bill the pony and they looked great!

The painting style they went for was really smart given the target for this KS. I love the simple highlight and black lining. Especially on small miniatures.

Launching a separate miniatures campaign a month after your last one ended and is in-progress is a bummer... this means you'll be working on fulfillment of both basically concurrently (with Metamorphosis Alpha listed as delivering in March, and this one in April). This project will end only 2 weeks before you're supposed to begin delivering the rewards from your last one, and with it that close I would think we'd need to start seeing pictures of production casts if you're going to be able to deliver it on-time (since you're doing the casting in-house).

On a positive note, there were some really nice looking greens in your last update from Metamorphosis Alpha, particularly this awesome one!

Spoiler:

I am really looking forward to seeing this model cast, it looks incredible

Thanks!! We are not professional painters like Penny Few, and we last minute decided to put the miniatures on copies of Bill the pony, so we opted to give them a wash to capture the details.

Glad you liked that post. We are not sure when we will release the woman, but we did mention this Kickstarter to our previous backers before we decided to launch to see if anyone there had any issues before hand as we are still waiting on sculpts from certain artists to be delivered.

The small size of both campaigns does not seem to warrant alarm with fulfilling.

When Rackham showed up and started changing what people thought of as the best paint job (putting the style of French and Spanish professional painters in the limelight) there was definitely an abandonment of the high contrast black bordered area style that dominated painted miniature product photography before that. Foundry and Kevin Dallimore have done their small part in keeping it alive in terms of historicals though.

Spoiler:

For Oldhammer aficionados it just makes sense to go for the pre-French/Spansih style. It's what many people do with their miniatures and doesn't take 40+ hours per miniature.

Spoiler:

Dwarf miniatures by Blue in VT

Historical miniatures by Kevin Dallimore

It's likely a product of when people got into miniature gaming, but I'd actually prefer an army of stuff in the older style that I can actually paint myself to the envelop pushing style that Rackham brought to the fore. I except most people that are attracted to the descriptor "oldhammer" also prefer that style. And you did a great job of it!

Hope that makes more sense now.
