They seemed to have been panned pretty hard so far, but I like them. They look like beasts, have some nice posses and their version of lighting claws are some of the coolest GW has came up with.

Am I alone, or does anyone agree.

You are gauranteed to not be alone. There are still enough 40k players to gaurantee variance in opinion.

That said, I disagree with you.

I have to disagree with you too.

The poses are awkward (especially "Jazzhands McKaratekid", since it looks like he's being blown backwards when you see him from the side), the fur looks like grey doritos, and the grins they all have just looks weird to me. The rules are nice but the models are really off-putting for me. The price doesn't help either (being more expensive than terminators by 10 bucks).

I like the poses on five guys. Any more and you get the same issue that I have with Infinity and older 40k models, that there are too many clones on the battlefield. Five guys though look awesome and I might pick some up for my Chaos Possessed if I ever get the urge to use them.

I have a few friends that play SW, none of them have anything positive to say about the new release. I was a SW player until I saw the leaks for these. The Santa sleigh and murderface almost put me over the edge, this finally did.

You're probably not alone, but I'm not a fan. To me, it's another instance of the Space Wolves taking a theme way too far, to what once would have been 4chan hyperbole. They're just...rather ridiculous.

If you like 'em, great. There's just a lot about them and SW's in general that rub a lot of people the wrong way for the last few years.

From a modeling perspective, I also have a problem with the fact that they appear to be relatively static, and as a result multiple units or a big unit is going to start to look like carbon copies, which is kind of irritating, particularly for big, noticeable models like these guys that are supposed to be very individualistic. The $60 pricetag doesn't help.

Not a fan. Though I've hated everything added to the Wolves since 3rd.

Hoping FW does them justice.

I have mixed feelings for them, some are pretty decent (thunderhammer and axe) and others (Karate kid especially) are horrendous.

But the kit itself looks good and with a bit of work should look pretty great.

I'm usually pretty forgiving when it comes to GW's sculpts, but these Wulfen look stupid.

As said before above, murderface and Santa Logan were pretty terrible in taking a theme too far, but this takes the cake.

The Callidus Assassin has a very similar pose. The Jazz Hands Wulfen is jumping down and has yet to shift his weight forward to begin running.

I think they are cool looking models, but I don't like that they are the Wulfen. I don't think that they are a good representation of the 13th company, or, if they are a good representation, I don't like the way that GW has decided the 13th company looks. Does that make sense?

I think the models are basically okay. Their poses are slightly weird, but overall, it doesn't bother me.

It HUGELY, HUGELY bothers me that they get distinctive 'frost claws' and 'frost axes' and 'frost hammers' and backpack launchers. Where the hell did backpack grenade launchers come from? Why don't the Iron Hands have them? Why doesn't ANYONE have them but mutated, monstrous, chaotic-looking Space Wolves?

I thought SW frostblades were rare heirloom/relics of the chapter, granted only to great and promising heroes, but now, here we turn out to have a metric crap ton of oversized ones just laying around to hand out.

It was the curse of the Wulfen. The curse. This was a plague hidden within the SW genetic makeup that every SW had to dread. Now, bestial monstrosities that have fully succumbed to it come out of the Eye of Terror, having been marinating in chaos for 10,000 years, and the Wolves promptly open their foundries and make them stuff.

I thought this was supposed to be this kind of tragic thing. Like the wolves realize that their brethren have sacrificed the last of their humanity for the hunt. Instead, it seems to be like "Cool! Werewolves!"

I don't think I would blink twice at the models if I didn't feel like they were doing something violent and unsavory to the fluff.

I like everything about them from the waist up. I really dislike the feet, however, hopefully you can put them into standard assault marine legs and call it good.

As for the shoulder grenade launcher you might as well ask where the hell Grav weaponry came from and why its so damn prolific in every SM army. Same with Centurion armor, or any other new piece of wargear that has just popped up in any SM codex that hasn't even been mentioned in the previous 10 years.

GW feels the need to come up with new wargear and weapons every now and then, its just the way they do things. Too bad no everyone gets everything all at once.

I personally can't stand the centurion models. One of the worst marine concepts ever model wise. Rule wise, they are what terminators should have become. But rules sell models, even sillyooking ones. Gw knows this all too well.

Aye, have an exalt.

Dumb models and fill a role that always should have been for terminators.

This is the only good thing I've seen come from the release of these models.

They're not bestial enough I think, they sort of get there but look more like they just have wolf gloves and boots. Kind of remind me of the awkward look of the pumbagor; they had a good concept that sort of missed the mark into a sort of goofy looking result.

The poses are awkward and the feet are bloody awful looking.

The rules are decent but I wouldn't pay £35 for them when I can kit bash them with some third party wulfen heads for less money.

Not my personal taste but I can see how they appeal to people who are into the GW/40K over the top kind of look that is often used for Empire stuff.

In terms of poses and such, how realistic does a Space Marien Werewolf in Spaaace have to look when it's about an inch high?

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

I don't like them. Some of the poses are okaysh, others are terrible. But the biggest issue is the concept. I agree with Vaktathi here, these new Wulfen represent everything I believe has gone wrong with GW's portrayal of Space Wolves in the latest editions: less and less Space Vikings, more and more Furry Marines.

Progress is like a herd of pigs: everybody is interested in the produced benefits, but nobody wants to deal with all the resulting gak.

GW customers deserve every bit of outrageous princing they get.

While I do really like the new Wulfen models, I'm torn by how really OTT the are. I don't think they're as absolutely hilarious in concept and model as TWC, I totally see why people dislike them. I think it's easy to go too far both ways with the Space Wolves, go too Wolf and you end up with everything the "Wolfy wolf" stuff that gets mentioned, although you can go too far the other way and be too Viking, which I think Prospero Burns did, which for me is the most boring Warhammer book I ever read, although I wouldn't call it the worst.

Personally, I think the Space Wolves are at their best when GW strikes an even balance between Viking and wolf motifs.

The new Wulfen look like they're wearing cut-off jeans, which is quite brave as they've clearly been skipping leg day, and their arms as wide as their waists. Wulfen are just very hairy curl bros.

The Callidus Assassin at least looks like she's jumping down (her arms look like they're settling down and her hair is clearly being dragged down) while Jazzhands's hands make it look like he's being blown aback. The Wulfen's head is also looking off at something else, which combined with his hands and the way he's leaning back, makes it look like he's being thrown back by an explosion rather than just "landing" from a jump.

All of the Wulfen models have this problem with me. Basically they all look like the artists animated them running, but then took one of the bad frames out to make into a static pose (if you don't get what I mean, play any disney movie in slow motion and watch the derp-ness of the in-betweens. Like the "didney worl" meme).

Space Wolves have never really been portrayed as "Space Vikings" in anything beyond the fluff. Their models have always been a kind of Scandanavian punk rockers rather than Vikings.
Weird hair(look at some of the heads for the Wolf Scouts that are in the plastic kit--there's like a gigantic half-mohawk with a cyber targeting eye), super long braids, etc.
