just wondering what the rumors are due to the whole space wolves/daemons thing. I was thinking of getting into daemons but Ive run into the issue of buying a codex then they release a new updated one a couple of weeks or months later before.

Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
and the ends of the earth your possession. You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel. Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son,
lest he be angry, and you perish in the way,
for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

The fact the this campaign droped is proof that they aren't getting updated (after all why would they go through the effort of releasing new rules for a codex only to invalidate that codex shortly after?)

The conclave of the burning one would like a word with you :3

But in all seriousness, probably not. Rumors point to /maybe/ a lord of change later in the year, but that's it (and it could possibly be a Tzeentch Daemonkin).

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

There is no Tzeentch Daemonkin. (I really wish this rumor would just die in a failed warpflame test!)
The Daemonkin is purely 'Khorne only', especially if you read the background behind them, and we only got that (very rushed) codex to piggyback off of the Bloodthirster release for Fantasy/AoS.

According to Sad Panda, the Lord of Change hasn't even really begun development yet. (a complete & utter travesty I say!)

Depending on what the following campaign book(s) bring for Warzone Fenris, we could possible see a 'Tau styled' update where GW will release a re-print version of our current codex, but with all the new units/rules/formations under a single cover. (and hopefully even fix up the couple of glaring ****** moments such as the Slaaneshii whip relic being impossible to take, or how the Unending Grimoire literally doesn't function!)

Technically the Grimoire edition fulfills that since it's suppose to have the "new" dataslates in them and with the decurion rules, but with the existing ones remain unchanged.

Haven't seen it in person though, so I don't know if there are any other changes. But that's about as far as it will get (and my bloodcrushers are going to continue to languish without armor :C)

I think GW will stick more and more to campaign books offering new formations, traits and missions. We will see a Tau book next week.

It's a great codex and has aged very well - still top tier... A new codex could change everything.

Well, Tau got a similar super expensive & highly limited ed special codex, but then afterwards they also got the 6th ed codex re-printed with all the updates as well.

I could see us eventually getting the same because let's face it, being restricted to just 500'ish copies worldwide is a pretty piss poor 'updated' version of our codex, even by GW standards!
