So the gf plays sigmarines, and I play khorne. I'm having a hard enough time as it is because to play them effectively you need to be on point and the stars have to align for everything to work, where as she kinda just moves in and kills, or stands back with judicatory and fires away lol.

Anyway, a lot of her units have things like cause d3 wounds, if chaos then d6 wounds, while I have nothing like that for storm cast units. Do you guys think this is a problem or not at all? I'm trying to convince her to just make it d3 wounds but she likes winning too much lol.

What comp are you using?

Was using sdk, this weekend gonna try out ppc and scgt. We only use the point values though we don't change anything else.

Well I can't speak for scgt, but in PPC I would recommend running a lot of bloodreavers. Stormcast tend to have good mortal wound capabilities and good rend/attacks in general, something largely wasted on a no-save, dirt-cheap unit like bloodreavers (note three bloodreavers costs about the same as one liberator). In return, they dish out so many attacks (with a bloodsecrator nearby) that they can overwhelm even the stormcast's big units. When one unit of bloodreavers dies, no sweat if you have another behind it. The key will be to run at least two bloodsecrators so when he inevitably kills one you still get the totem buff (also note that the attack bonus from multiple bloodsecrators will stack). If she likes to run big scary models (lord celestant on dracoth, celestant prime, star dragon) then one or two mighty lords of khorne will be nice for the instant death.

Also wrathmongers are pretty easy to use, even if they die they will make your enemy punch themselves with their own weapon.

So long as you are using a points system, you are good.

Stormcast are strong, but Khorne Bloodbound can survive against them.

Have fun!

Try different scenarios and try some of the realms of war. It'll make fighting the same opponent quite different.

Some other specific guidance on fighting stormcast with bloodbound.

1) Maximize synergy buffs (Bloodsecrator, Bloodstoker, Chaos Warshrine, General buffs, Skullgrinder, etc.).
2) Keep in mind that Stormcasts are an elite army. Bloodbound can either be an elite army (warriors, etc.) or a horde army (marauders, blood reavers, etc.) or a hybrid (both types). If you bring a horde army, don't fight like an elite army. Try some smaller scenarios where you only bring troops of one type to get a better feel for the tactics involved in running the different types.
3) Protect your synergy buff givers and slay the enemies' buff givers.
4) Use Blood Warriors (armor save 4+) against Liberators (no rend).
5) Use the Mighty Lord of Khorne against enemy heroes and models with lots of wounds.
6) Use Blood Reavers against Stormcast that cause mortal wounds or have a high rend.
7) Remember that the Mighty Lord and the BLoodsecrator have a 3+ armor save, and that becomes a 2+ in cover.
8) I like a formation with blood warrior unit on one flank, heroes and Khorgorath in middle, and blood reavers on other flank. All units are in range of hero bonuses. Khorgorath fear bonus should affect any enemy units in melee.
9) Have Khorgorath attack enemy models with as few wounds as possible to maximize fear bonus and regen.
10) If using horde tactics (Reavers, Marauders), you will need to swarm and surround the enemy to get all of your models to fight.
11) Aspiring Deathbringer gives +1 attack to nearby units if he is your general.
12) Some people interpret (incorrectly in my opinion) that multiple buff givers stack (2 bloodsecrators, 4 bloodstokers, etc.). I do not believe the bonuses stack, but if you do have a second bloodsecrator, you could use that second bloodsecrator as a backup when the first one dies, or to give yourself a larger radius for the buff.

Just want to say, if you guys agree to putting in your own rules then go for it. That's the spirit of the game.

As for convincing her...maybe a nice bottle of wine and a dinner? Seems to work for me

That's a double entendre.

Maybe its just me but if someone offered to handicap themselves, and I won the game, I wouldn't feel that it was that rewarding.

I'd take the advice of the other people here and try and re work your army.

As endur says - synergy buffs and swarms.

If you throw one unit at a time at the StormCast, they'll kill you.
