So I thought after spending alot of time admiring other people's work, I'd give something back and throw up my own Army Log to to give back and try to inspire me to get my army finished a little bit quicker.

I've been spending alot of time on my Orks lately, since my main two opponents are running Marines, and i dont wanna run marines against them.

My main aims are

1. Don't spend 10 hours on every Ork. Fast, simple paintschemes are the plan. Once ive got a boatload of painted Orks, I can go back and tidy them up.

2. Keep them dirty! I chose a bright colour, yellow, as a bit of a change of pace and a new challenge. However I want my Orks to look nasty. Not cartoony bad guys for space marines to play whack a mole with, so I've gone for a lot of weathering to try and make them more gritty and realistic.

Anyway, pics time.

Two tester Orks for the scheme, came out good I thought so I'm gonna plow on from there.

A couple of little guys on the bench! Someone needs to carry the ammo around.

The dreaded drawer of procrastination. Faint cries of ''Paint us, paaaaaint us'' can be heard.

Anyways, hope you guys enjoy the pictures. Theres a fair bit of glare which obscures some of the weathering I've done. I'll try harder for next time!

Still struggling to take halfway decent photos with a phone camera... Any tips?

15 points down, plenty more to go. Sigh, lol.

Next on the bench, Big Mek, and two Ork Squad leaders.

Also need to rebase these fellas from when i last had a bash at Orks, Nobz look much better on 32mm.

After this, im going to crack on with some Boyz!

Looks like a good start. I have the same problem, spending too much time on each model. Good luck to you, and keep the pics coming!

Looking good, especially those pesky Grots!

I feel your pain... yellow is especially time-consuming. I've found the Humbrol yellow is the only one where the aerosol matches the pot - I paint shoulder armour etc with the spray and that saves a lot of time. Good luck!

There is not this idea.

Looking excellent so far.

Thanks for taking the time to comment, guys! Appreciate it.

Glad youre enjoying the Orks even though im terrible at taking pictures!! Working on that.

Speakin of pics, heres an Ork Weirdboy I made to represent Zogwort way back. All finished now, bar the base. I like the model, but he's pretty big, big as some of the Nobs which is probably weird for a weirdboy...

Hope you like him anyways.

Cool. From the first pic I thought he was wearing a spiky hat, but it was just his shoulder pad. Looking good though.

A spiky hat isn't a bad idea... lol

But yeah I can see what you mean, looking at it.

Been a while since I've updated the thread. Haven't played many games, and when I don't play I lose the motivation to paint sometimes.

Anyway got a couple of good games with a friend a few days ago, and got into the hobby mood again.

Ended up producing the fighter pilot Sky-Killa and his trusty steed. Hope you like it.

I really like your wyrd boy with his glowing blue eyes. Looks very real in a good way. Your yellows are impressive. Keep sloggin!

Awesome work on the Dakka jet, dude! Love the yellow as mentioned by other posters but the rust and grime are also really well done.

Thanks for the comments and C&C guys, much appreciated!

Haven't updated this in a while, been busy with Heresy Marines, but I've got a campaign coming up and i'll be wheeling my Orks out.

Got a new project on the table that I'm pretty excited about, thought I'd share a few pics. Really just to show the conversion and etc, the colours are just blocked in basecoats. So nothing exciting there.

I appreciate the pictures are crap! But its really just to showcase the conversion. Anyways....

That is awesome! I love it. What kits did you use Knight and deff dread? Are you using home brew modified knight rules or stompa?

Cheers mate! Its the stock Knight Paladin, mixed with parts from a Deff Dread (mostly) and also a bunch of other bits and bobs from ork kits. Part of the claw is from a deffkopta, there's some dakkajet bits in there too, and a bunch of plasticard.

Im going to run it as a Renagade Knight, which can Ally with Orks! If my friends have no fun playing against it, then I can always use it as a Gorkanaut. Its around the same size.

Here's a slightly better picture with another coat of paint. Im doing it Red, to contrast with my Bad Moonz Orks, since Knights are usually a chance to try out a different colour scheme and I thought I'd go that route too.

Seems real difficult to photograph red... lol.

I also use badmoons orks. I'd like to give it a go with a renegade knight like what you did here. I am inspired thanks and I'd love to the the army and knight when your finished painting.

Really like the Knight Dakkadin, you've put in more effort than most do when they make that sort of Ork conversion. Also your yellow is very nice.

Thanks bud, appreciate the comment! I'll keep updating as the Knight trucks along.

Cheers bud! Yeah I really wanted this thing to look Orky, without relying on having Orks clinging on to it or popping out of hatches. Glad you think it looks the part.

An update, as painting progresses! The red is almost pretty much finished. Debating whether or not to pick out every rivet silver, probably won't.

Next its the metal parts (which is the other main 50% of the model) the face, base and details. Its going quicker than i thought.

Thanks for looking! C&C welcome and appreciated.
