Always nice to see more civilians but they're a bit of a disjointed set no?

The bathrobed one in particular just doesn't seem to belong.

...I don't get it...

A worker, business women with a naked baby, crazy bathrobe lady and a geek!

Is this the Village people from hell?

From the title, I was actually expecting and looking forward to a group of more genericly dressed modern civilians - not this!

"A" for the idea - "F" for the execution

I'll pass...

The two females are fine, for me. Well proportioned and nicely sculpted.

@blackfang My intention is to paint the baby as it was wearing some simple clothings. We'll see if I succeed

Disappointed by the two males.

Am I correct this by 3 or 4 different sculptors? the bath robe is much better than the 2 men.

And yeah, I really like the business woman, but that baby needs a diaper at least.

I think the paintjobs may not necessarily be doing them any favors. I've seen the greens for the neckbeard before and he's actually got a pretty detailed sculpt.

These figures originated with Comfy Chair Games' Spinespur line. From what I've seen, the entire line was somewhat disjointed in terms of subject matter. The general concept was an apocalyptic gang warfare skirmish game. These figures were listed as the "Soulless" or something. I think the idea was that they were regular people who essentially became mindless zombies, hence the expressions on the construction worker and the business woman. Now, why the business woman is carrying a naked baby, I have no clue. I do know that the neckbeard was meant to be a joke figure that Comfy Chair made as a stretch goal way back when they did their Spinespur Kickstarter. No clue what the deal is with the bathrobe woman, either.

Ah so that was the missing piece of the puzzle, these are from another (I assume defunct) game.

There are some neat models in there, props to Rebel for keeping them in production. These civilians don't do much for me the but the Men of GOD/Men in Black are interesting and you could have a lot of fun with the various crazies.

Any hints what else is coming?

I picked up some of the other stuff they brought over from Comfy when Rebel did their Red Ops KS a while ago.. that and I buy somewhat often from them for 15mm. The castings are on point, the prices are really reasonable, and I get most stuff within a week. The website and photos of the products/paintjobs are probably the weakest links and we're seeing a little bit of that with this release preview.

IIRC the idea for the range those came from was some hysteria type thing where people were losing it. Like a general madness setting in over an area.

No.

Spinespure is hell.

Those "Civilians" are sort of... credit/ resources. ( You can eat them, them, or just plain kill them, and get their stuff. ((Yeah, the bleep is intentional.... it means use your imagination... to put it mildly))

The game itself was no holds barred brutality on tabletop, and there was absolutely no mercy in the game, whatsoever. The game is a tabletop representation of horror mvoies/ mysterious settings, and Scooby doo on steroids while crazies with chainsaws gun for your minis/ to do you any amount of harm.

I have this game, BTW. I had a real beef with these folks after their initial run, mainly because of the issue of their not having a unified goal on the game. they ended up peeing on their shoes with the game when it could have actually gone places.

The factions are all in there as a mafia sort of a thing, in hell. They are all led by different arch type horror movie/ monster arch types, such as Frankenstein, the devil, chainsaw welding hockey mask wearing unstoppable killing machine, femme fatales, an unlikely Undertaker, a 70s rock star, a criminal, a psychopath, a pig head wearing chainsaw welding butcher, a "Pope" from the church, as well as the rest of their right wing bible thumper generic arch types( I/E cultists) a "Living" graveyard, etc.etc.etc...... My all-time favorite was the "The Comedian/ Jeffery Dean Morgan."

The website is down, and the resources for the old game are gone as well, but the game itself was absolutely no holds barred adult content on the tabletop. The stories, the "Hurst Chronicles" were the absolutely best resource to get you into the setting, and there was more unsaid, and alluded to that gave you a real look at this game from the... ground, up.

Best advice for you? be the killer, not the killed.

Coming back doesn't help you much.

P.S.

Dingos really do eat the baby. (theres a backstory there somewhere in the material about that one, BTW.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.
