I decided to make a thread about this before I have to result to a PayPal dispute or something similiar, just to check if someone has some info.

So a bit over two weeks ago I made an order from http://www.templatesandwidgets.com

After a week I emailed them wondering if something is off with my order, since I have received no email about it being processed/shipped/anything. Later I also contacted them through their contact form and haven't received a response.

Does anyone know if this store doesn't send any information on how your order is progressing, or if the store is actually functioning any more or something like that?

Cheers beforehand.

If you check their blog the last update is August 2014!

Their last tweet was in March of this year.

The simple solution is to file a complaint. if they get back to you the option is there to cancel the complaint and reinstate the order. There may be reasons given for a delay but first and foremost its your money.

IMO though, their lack of presence on their social media channels leads me to think that you wont get your order.

Damnit. Good thing my order was really small, as is my practice for a first order anywhere.

Guess I'll just use PayPal to get the money back. I feel that contacting them through all applicable channels and the order havent even being processed in 2 weeks is enough to know that I probably won't receive the order.

I would try messaging them through their Facebook page. Their last post was April 29th, 2016.

You can also try mailing them snail mail or seeing if their phone number is active.

Let me try to raise the owner.

He was moving house recently and I think having a kid.

Bernhard is a good guy, so I doubt this is malice.

Bear with me.

Edit: he's looking into it to find out where the email went. Hope it gets resolved for you.

I now received the following email that confirms the order has been sent. I don't know if it's standard, but it was... interesting:

Hello,

your wargaming supplies have been carefully picked from Templates & Widgets' shelves like delicate berries and placed into a wicker basked lined with unicorn fur. With the grace of a ballerina, we tiptoed them to our packing station, where virgin Menite paladins, who work with us when the walls of Sul don't need defending, prepared your order for shipment. Your products were methodically placed in each envelope using techniques taught to us by a former Tetris World Champion.
Saying goodbye to such sought-after products is always gut-wrenching. That is why we offer employees unlimited handkerchiefs as part or our generous benefits package. As your order was whisked away at light speed down our assembly line into the loving arms of the shipping courier, our warehouse paladins, with tears in their eyes, joined hands and whispered.

When the delivery truck pulled away from our warehouse dock, a rare double rainbow appeared overhead. That's when we knew the products we had crafted were on their way to a better home. Please take care of them and, we promise, they will take care of you.

So. Yeah.

It would now appear that the order has been sent afterall, thanks for your effort JonWebb. It would seem you directly helped solve the matter. Taking into account all the stuff mentioned above, I was fairly sure the order wouldn't progress further.

The issue is now seemingly resolved and I guess the store is full business but the owner just having big changes ongoing like JonWebb mentioned. Thanks again for your help.

Glad the situation resolved for you.

Maybe the store owner can update the store blog and their twitter (or get rid of them altogether). Seems FB is the most active SM account they have.

Glad it worked out, I sent Bernhard a link and we had a quick chat last night, so happy I could play a small part in solving the issue.

I was only trooping through this sub by chance and the name caught my eye, so pure luck really

Anyway, hopefully your stuff arrives soon.

The email response is a little unusual, but honestly he is a great guy both personally and professionally... when he isn't obviously sleep deprived if that email is anything to go off

It has now been 3 weeks since I got the message, and the product hasn't yet arrived. I'm starting to think I probably will never get it, since I already order some stuff from the US 1,5 weeks ago, and already received that order.

So to sum it up:

-Paid my order, waited 2 weeks.

-Contacted them through email AND contact form, no response.

-Made a PayPal dispute.

-After PayPal dispute and help from JonWebb I received an email that the order is shipped (not sure if the email is being sarcastic or just meant as a joke??) If the former, that is some really bad customer care when it's the company that has failed. I hope it's the latter though and will give benefit of the doubt based on what JonWebb said.

-Waited 3 weeks for the order that is supposedly shipped, still isn't here. Another order from the US already made it in half the time. Emailed them 5 days ago about it, no response whatsoever, again.

All in all, I cannot recommend buying based on this experience.

Luckily PayPal refunded my money without another dispute, so I am home free and will be doing my purchases from somewhere else. It's now been over a month since I placed my order, the date being 29.04.2016.
