Battle Plan

Ravenwing Strike Force will be held in Reserve and deploy on turn 2, utilising the "Speed of the Raven" formation rule. Scout Squads will Infiltrate towards objectives and try to survive turn 1 without any support, harassing the enemy from afar with Sniper Rifles. Interrogator-Chaplain will run with Ravenwing Command Squad, engaging high threat targets such as MC's and TEQ's. Ravenwing Bike Squads will Outflank and engage medium threat targets and armour. Ravenwing Landspeeder Squadron will sit in backfield supporting Scout Squads and countering enemy incursions. Their "Anti-grav Upwash" squadron rule will benefit them in maneuverability to counter the enemy.

Personally I would replace the bike squads melta guns with gravguns for more shots and I believe they have better range.

Am I right in saying Grav based weaponry is useless against anything other than TEQ's?

If so, I dislike this level of specialization. Melta weapons still prove useful against all targets, albeit not ideal for some. Example - GEQ hordes.

I second grav guns - they murder MEQs with ease as well, AP2 is nothing to scoff at, especially three shots per bike. Immobilizing enemy vehicles like Rhinos and Land Raiders is nice too. What is the Ravenwing Champion bringing to your list? He doesn't cost much, but his Death or Honour gets him killed very easily. Break down your land speeder squads into single units, otherwise when you Jink, the whole unit will have to Snap Shoot the next turn instead of just one speeder. Break your 7 man bike squads into 3 man squads, this will allow you more access to more grav/melta.

I shall have to consider Grav guns instead of Meltas.

I had considered dropping the Champion, but 5pts for WS5 and AP3 seemed very reasonable.

Landspeeders shall be broken down.

I must disagree with breaking down the Ravenwing Bike Squads into 3 man squads though. I've done this before and they suffer with morale checks. It takes 1 wound and they are possibly running away. Any comment?

Where or on what might you suggest I spend the remaining points also?

Max the command squad with six models. Break up other units: Black Knights and bikes in units of 3 or 4. Even if they retreat, they can act normally the next turn; I usually turbo boost the one or two remaining models onto a backfield objective they just got closer to. You want to force opponent to spread firepower while allowing your own to spread.

Grav is most valuable weapon on Relentless bikes. If you want melta because your meta has a lot of Imperial Knights or fortifications, then use individual Attack Bikes.

Any list of 100% Ravenwing should have a Darkshroud. They don't just provide Stealth - the immunity to overwatch is often even more valuable. You could even make a Ravenwing Support Squad formation with those land speeders. Their typhoons are best weapon for that formation.

10th Company Support is not a real formation with dataslate. It can only be chosen within a Lion's Blade detachment, so you'll need another HQ to make an Allied or Combined Arms Detachment. A bike Librarian is a fine choice for this. But do not count on the scouts to survive the one or two turns until the Ravenwing arrive. Instead give them bolters or close combat weapons and leverage their Objective Secured in the first few turns. Many missions put progressive objectives in the center.

plasma nails TEQ's and hammers finish them off. Terminators are a -very- good matchup for Ravenwing don't worry about them.

Grav is for wraithknights, riptides, stormsurges, and other monsters. Great against heavy tanks too but those are rare.
