What's the most amount of Points your Opponent has killed from your army at the start of Round 1?

Do not include your army total from being tabled due to being in reserves. This is strictly points lost from being actively attacked by your opponent during his turn.

Back in third before invuns were standard for terminators I tabled a guy's 2k points deathwing army turn one with 6 ork trukk boyz units. 4+ save made him sad.

Also I lost my stompa turn one to a ctan who got a 6 on the d chart than another 6. With the guys inside that was 1000+ with one shot!

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!

My opponents tend to be SPESSS MUREENS so I rarely get to have a first turn, they just drop pod 90% of their army in after I move up anyways, but the time that I did we were having a game with superheavys allowed, my necron tesserack vault shot down an imperial knight, which then tackled down my vault with the explosion, and then THAT landed on his army too, resulting in pretty much 1700 points gone in total on the bottom on turn 1

On turn 1 in a tournament last year, I lost both my D-thirster and Be'lakor to some amazing Psychic Shriek powers. My opponent rolled 17 on 3d6 against Be'lakor, and 18 against the D-thirster. Kinda hard to win when you have to start with a third of your army already wiped out.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000

I forget the exact point value, but as Nids vs SM, I managed to take out either by killing or forcing a run away, Tigurius, 2 10 man Tac squads and all but the Sergeant and ML from a Dev squad. The last 2 Devs charged a brood of 20 Gargoyles, with the Sarge dying to Overwatch, and the ML Dev holding his own for the rest of the game.

Devastators are so OP.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

I once inflicted MASSIVE casualties on an opponent on the first game of a 6-week campaign. I felt bad for the guy as he was a decent player, but had horrible luck. The way the campaign was set up meant that how badly you won or lost gave you a bonus or disadvantage to your next game. He lost so bad that he never recovered and lost every game for the rest of the campaign.

Anyway, it was mid-3rd edition. 2,000 points with my Necron against his Space Wolves. I got the first turn, and teleported a Lord and a unit of immortals behind his deployed units. After some lucky shooting I killed all but one man in a Bloodclaw unit. A Lord's staff killed 3 Grey hunters, which then fell back into said Lord, crossfiring them and destroying them. Another unit of Grey Hunters got shot-up and ran off the board. His Terminators lost half their squad from massed Warrior fire. He lost his Leman Russ Exterminator (remember when Wolves could take those?) and Predator from my Destroyers.

At the end of the first half of turn one all he had to combat my entire force was a unit of Wolf Scouts, a Razorback, and three Terminators.

Outside of superheavies (everyone that uses them regularly is sure to have lost one on their first turn), I lost about 1000 points before my first go. Last edition dark angels, mostly terminators and bikes, against Tau. Decided I'd try starting my termies on the board since it was on a terrain heavy table, plus I had first turn. Scout my bikes forward, enemy seizes initiative, lose two BK squads. Terrible rolling on termies, lose about a dozen of the 20, then Ezekiel's rhino gets popped and that stupid double flame template riptide nukes him and his 9 man tac squad. Tabled turn 2. One of the reasons I don't like tau.

I have never lost an Ordinatus on turn one, but some of my opponents try to field deathstars and promply lose them in the first volley.

1000 points. First time playing against Tau, and he crippled half my army Turn 1. That was fun.
