Macrocosm Miniatures is a small company based in Tewkesbury in the UK. We set up last year with the goal of bringing a retro style of miniatures to your tabletop. We have already run 2 successful Kickstarters in the past and we are hoping to make it a 3rd with this project.

We are looking to get £1000 of funding to pay for the moulding and production of several new units for the Dark Dwarves range creating a much larger army to choose from.

We are looking to put the following new miniatures into production.
•A unit of 5 Crossbows
•A unit of 5 Double Handed Axe men
•A unit of 5 Warriors with Axe and Shield
•A mortar with 2 crew
•A Bazooka Weapons team
•A unit of 5 Bezerker Dwarves
•2 more Beasts
•2 weapon teams with gattling guns or flame throwers.

Now that is a lot of new miniatures to add to the existing range below.

they've run a couple of previous KS projects that look to have fulfilled ok (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2076383099/macrocosm-the-next-races/posts/1529690, https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2076383099/balls/comments) and were very friendly when I chatted with them at the UK Games Expo this year so if you like the look of the dwarves this seems a safe bet

Hmm, I love the old Citadel and Marauder Chaos Dwarves, but these don't look great so far... Maybe we just need better pics, after all Macrocosm's other minis are generally very good.

Agreed, could use some better pictures. Otherwise it sounds promising, I have always found these type of chaos dwarfs charming.

I'll be watching out for this. I was going to pick up some of his Dwarves this weekend at Phalanx but now I may wait on the Kickstarter.

I already have a unit of his blunderbuss dwarf models, they're really nice.

Are they Axemen or Berzerkers at the bottom BTW? Hopefully the new stuff will be available in Dragon Rampant friendly (groupings of 3/4/6/12).

As well as these 5 levels we will be offering a number of different add ons, including more packs and individual miniatures.

The RRP of these packs after the Kickstarter will be £10+, so by backing the kickstarter and supporting us now you will be receiving the benefit of 20%+ off the miniatures.

As an aside, I'm pretty sure the core of this range used to be available through Hasslefree - I've got one of the Great Axe guys from pack A facing off one with on Kev's sculpts in a mini diorama somewhere, and I got both figures from HF at the same time. They must've sold on the range.

Nice little sculpts, not much in the way of pointless bling.

They were. A few of the ones I bought have 'hasslefree' tags.

I'm planning to back this but I've never backed a Kickstarter before. Could someone explain to me how I go about pledging to get three packs (and a couple of add ons).

Irritatingly there is no option for single crossbowmen so it's going to be a pain to get twelve of them.

Step 1: Register for an account on Kickstarter
Step 2: Load the Dark Dwarves Kickstarter page
Step 3: Figure out which add-ons you want, and total up their cost.
Step 4: Select the Dark Dwarves Double Trouble pledge option from the list of pledge options on the RHS.
Step 5: Update the pledge amount from the initial £21 to a value of £(24 + 5 + value-of-add-ons), then click continue.
Step 6: Follow instructions on the next page, which will include setting up your payment details.
Step: 7 Once everything is completed, please the green "Pledge" button.

Step 8: When the campaign finishes, you'll get charged the value you pledged.
Step 9: At some point after that, there'll be a survey and/or pledge manager to determine which packs and add-ons you're after, which you'll need to complete.
Step 10: A wild package appears, filled with small metal Dark Dwarves...

My goodness- the simplicity of the cloaked dwarf is really striking to me. That might just be the most convincing dwarven assassin I've ever seen.

I've just been informed that axe and shield, berzerkers and crossbows will be added as add-ons on Monday.

The Slave Trolls and also the Troggs have been unlocked and they are working their way towards the next stretch goal, another set of Slave Trolls.

I'm in. 12 Crossbows, 5 Warriors with shields and a standard bearer and musician will take my current 24 point Dragon Rampant Army to 36 points (with the addition of a few Heresy Slugs).

Minis don't come out until November so it gives me a chance to get this lot painted.

The alt Slave Trolls and Maw Cannon with crew have been unlocked, they are also half way to the next stretch goal which are freebie mini added to pledge levels.

£48 Backers will get 1 Mage miniature (£4 rrp), £100 Backers will get 1 Mage and an Engineer (£8 rrp), £200 Backers will get the Lord set (3 miniatures £12 rrp) and a Beast (random of the 3 £8 rrp).

The alt Dark Dwarf Sorcerer and Irongob the Troll which are Kickstarter/Show exclusive minis, and shield packs have been added to the add-on section.
