5 pathfinders
The idea here is to have the a list that can deal with a whole slew of enemies through either quality fire or rate of fire. My fire warriors with fireblades essentially are there to create huge areas in which moving troops is dangerous. I'm expecting my tide and fire warriors to camp out in some ruins and drop fire a whole lot at enemies infantry due to the fireblades , with my skyray blowing all it's missiles on turn one at enemy transports or vehicles if the enemy has no fliers in reserve. From turn 2 onward I'm planning on my skyray to markerlight up something for my firewarriors, and then using the fireblade's light to make my pathfinders more effective. On turn two or three, I'm planning on dropping a bomb with the two commanders and the 3 suits in the enemy back field and having them shoot the crap out of some dug in enemy units and then splitting into 3 units the next turn so I can target multiple units or grab objectives. Weather or not I put the CQB commander with the squad that's deep striking is completely reliant on if I expect my backline to need a body guard of sorts, who can intercept enemy units before they tie down/decimate my shooty guys in the back field. If not, he's essentially there to give the deep striking force fleet and to offer them some proper defense in CQB. The melta suits are just there to pop anything spooky, and they've flamers because my meta has a lot of open topped vehicles.
I'd like some advice on how to make the list tighter without cheesing it up, or some suggestions on what's redundant.
