They are named after the Irish Rangers. The colour schemes are similar - dark green, black, and hints of red. I've always been interested in Northern Ireland since I lived there, but when my Dad told me some of his stories about him in the Rangers, it got me thinking into doing an N. Irish Rangers-themed army. Hence, Tau, because they shoot a lot.

Solid. Red/Green/Black isn't a combination I've ever seen on Tau before, but it works. Would be cool if you changed the SAS slogan from English to Tau, would be a neat little easter egg for anyone that's familiar with their alphabet. Look forward to more.

The changing of the SAS slogan to the Tau alphabet would be pretty cool. My only problem would be the freehanding of the symbols.

I would point out that their alphabet is much more simplistic in design than the Latin alphabet. I wager you could do it, hell just use a fine point sharpie marker and then trace over it with paint!

Hey, repeatedly saying that to myself is how I learned to freehand, even got so comfortable I actually freehanded some simple champion banners! Once you get comfy doing it, you'll never want to use transfers again
