I would like some advice on tuning this list to be as competitive as possible while sticking with the freakshow style leadership based attack for the focus. I understand it is not going to be top tier, but don't want to be kicked around in the dirt either.

Any other advice and tactics would be helpful also. Any thing else I should look out for in opposing lists?

Chances are that it will be playing eternal war missions with some additional secondaries (see spoiler).

Spoiler:

Objective Alpha: In all missions except The Relic, place one additional central objective marker in the middle of the table (36” from the short edge and 24” from the long edge). This objective marker is worth 5 Victory Points to the player who controls it at the end of the game.

Tank Hunter: At the end of the game, if you have destroyed at least three vehicles, gain 1 Victory Point.

Monster Hunter: At the end of the game, if you have destroyed at least three monstrous creatures, gain 1 Victory Point.

Big Game: For every Lord of War or Gargantuan Creature you destroy, gain 2 Victory Points at the end of the game.

Fortress: If at the end of the game, if you control at least one building (treat it as a large objective), gain 1 Victory Point. (Multiple buildings controlled do not earn extra Victory Points)

Ideally I would like to keep the Dark Eldar the major part of the army as that is what most of my models are themed around (and trying something a bit different on a competitive level). Models I am yet to purchase are the Succubus and Shadowseer.

Combined Arms Detachment - 640
HQ
Archon - Armour of Misery, WWP, Blaster - 125 (Deep Strike with Fire Dragons)
Succubus - Archangel, WWP, Archite Glaive - 155 (Deep Strike with Cast of Players)

Troops
Warriors (5) - Blaster - 55
Venom - Splinter Cannon - 65

Scourges - Haywire Blaster (4) - 120

Dark Artisan - 350
Haemonculus - WWP - 105 (Warlord)
Talos - 120
Cronos - Spirit Probe -125

Cast of Players - 284 (Deep Strike with Succubus)
Troupe (5) - Caress (3), Haywire Grenade - 119
Death Jester - 60
Shadow Seer - Mask of Secrets, Level 2 - 100 (Rolls telepathy and phantasmancy, swap both for primaris)

Allied Detachment - 476
HQ
Farseer - 100 (Joins Dark Artisan and rolls all telepathy)

Troops
Windriders (3) - Scatter Laser (3) - 81

Fast Attack
Helmlock - 185 (Rolls telepathy)

Elite
Fire Dragons (5) - 110 (Deep Strike with Archon)

Total - 1750

Notes:
My initial plan was to run the fire dragons and cast of players in Raiders (Cheers FAQ!)
So instead I swapped them out for the kitted out Succubus to get the cast of players where they need to be, the Shadowseer will be casting veil of tears on the unit to attempt to keep the alive.
My main concern is longevity of this list late game for the primary objectives.

Thanks!

The only thing I can suggest is swapping the Haywire Blasters on the Scourges for Heat Lances. They're a suicide squad and I find that you get more of a chance to one shot an enemy tank with the melta than the haywire, as that maybe all you get.

Not sure about the Archangel of Pain either, if you come up against a lot of Space Marines it'll be useless. Might do nicely against Eldar though.

I have had mixed results with heat lances, iv found I often scatter out of melta range with them. But do like the extra versatility and potential of one shots of them.

If I remove the Archangel of Pain, that frees up 25pts, what would you suggest to add in place?
I know it doesn't solve the Space Marine issue but I have been considering replacing the Archangel and the haywire grenade on the cast of players in place of two Phantasm grenade launchers on the Succubus and Haemonculus. What you think about that?

I would put a shout in for Haywire Scourges. But only if you don't suicide deep strike them in. Their movement and the range of Haywire Blaster means that, unlike melta weapons, you can keep a good distance from the enemy vehicles.

I will have to test out the load out of the scourges some more to see how they fit best with the list.
Any other suggestions?

Very minor change, but on your harlies, I would move the haywire grenade from the Jester to to Troupe Master.
If you use it in the shooting phase, it's best to loose the str4 from the Master's pistol than to loose the 3 str6 shots from the jester. And if you use the grenade in the assault phase, the Troupe Master has WS 6 vs 5.

Updated that, thanks.
Thats a good point but as you pointed out could make the difference.
