Hi Guys,

I just wanted to share my Indiegogo Campaign with you:

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/brassed-off-etched-brass-modelling-details--2#/

It had a "soft launch" last week, which actually brought in a couple of pledges, but to make it work, I need more !

Hopefully you will like what you see and if so, please feel free to pledge and share

Please feel free to posy any questions you might have, I am planning some stretch goals when we hit £1000 onwards

Cheers

Can I make a suggestion? (correct me if I'm wrong) It doesn't cost any more to fill up the blank spaces on your sheets with a few more bits and details? The Sci-fi trim looks a bit sparse, for example.

Hi Mousemuffins,

That's a good point, but sadly the sheets are already set up !

Apparently you need to register for indiegogo to see the campaign? You need to show some pics here before that happens.

I can see it fine, and I don't have a IGG account.

It is generally a good idea to link pictures in the thread to entice people to click the link though. I know I often won't bother checking out links to campaigns if there isn't any images shown in the thread.

Backed at the $29 level because you have some interesting designs, however I must echo the previous criticism - You're massively underutilising your sheets. As I understand it, the costs involved in making brass etch sheets are more to do with size than complexity, and there is SO much wasted space on every single one of your sheet designs.

It'll be interesting to see if this hits target and what, if any, stretch goals it unlocks

Thanks for the heads up guys,

Here are some shots of the actual sheets on the "Master"

And some shots showing them in use:

you'll have to host the images somewhere else (eg photobucket or similar)

as for some reason images from indiegogo can't be hotlinked on Dakkadakka (no idea why not)

Edit: working now, and looking good

Thanks guys,

The shields can be made in different ways, and can also be curved, if you bend them around something:

We are nearly at 25%

If I can urge you to pledge or share that would be great

I think you might do better if you actually put some working photos in this thread. :\

Still only some pics working.

I suggest you host them somewhere other than Flickr

Photobucket/Imageshack usually works well, or perhaps make a album on Dakka itself?

How large are the sheets? I want to know how much trim I get and how big the cogs are.

Only 3 days left !

lower "Custom" Sheet pledge level added

If this does get funded I have plenty of ideas in the pipeline - In fact one idea has 100% to do with Pipelines !

Given that you've chosen the "flexible goal" option, which gives you the funds even if you fail to hit target, do you still plan to fulfil pledges if you don't hit the goal?

Yes, Pledges will be fulfilled

You probably shouldn't have chosen flexible funding in the first place as it tend to put a lot of people off funding before the goal is reached.

If you have the ability to fulfill pledges on a lower amount of funds, why not chose that as the fixed goal and work upwards from that?

Also, none of the pictures in the thread work again :|
