This list is all about the double movement power. With a 50% chance (I think, someone can do the numbers) of getting it makes getting around real easy. Going first I get I have only a 1 and 6 chance of not getting some form of movement bonus. I can drop the wulfen in the drop pods if needed to put pressure on my opponent. With the speed of the army it makes hiding very hard. The wulfen unit are hard to kill and are a huge threat themselves. I been only having issues with Deathstars and I think the assassin is the answer to that.

Cad
lvl 1 Libby on jet pack
5 blood claws with drop pod
5 blood claws with rhino
2 drop pods
6x thunderwolves with 6 Storm shields, 2 Power Fist,

Murderpack
Wulfen with 5 Thunder hammer and Storm Shield
Wulfen with 5 Thunder hammer and Storm Shield
Wulfen with 3 Thunder hammer and Storm Shield, 2 with great axe and 1 auto gun
Wulfen with 4 Thunder hammer and Storm Shield, 1 frost claws

Culexus assassin

The Question I have are does the assassin need a rhino for protection from shooting and Vector strike things?

Does the New FAQ stop my Wulfen from using the drop pods?

Also when do you roll for the Wulfen power as the new FAQ addressed it but as I is now. The order of operation I think allows me to roll after the drop pods come down but before Movement. I get to choice which I do but I am not 100% on this.
I am needing to make sure as I don't ant to cheat someone.

Tell me what you think.

It's hard to say for me, I have no experience with the Assassin.

I'll throw down a suggestion that's a bit outside what you're hoping to do but might well help you get the deathstars before they get a chance to build up to anything.

Ditch the CAD.
I am suggesting you give up objective secured and focus entirely on killing anything that gets in your way so that's the first thing established.

Company of the Great Wolf
HQ Bjorn the Fell Handed
Elites
2x Servitors
Fast Attack
2x Drop Pods
TWC

Formation detatchments
Deathpack
Heralds of the Great Wolf or Gimnar's War Council

Okay, there is a point to my madness. Bjorn and the Heralds or War Council will boost your ability to get first turn, granting you a re-roll on the deployment and the ability to seize on a 3+ or 4+ depending on what you take.

Bjorn drops in before your opponent gets to set up and unleashes hell on the Deathstar before they get a psychic phase.
Bjorn is packing a heavy flamer and your free choice of assault, plasma or helfrost canon or a 5pt upgrade to a twin-linked las-canon, he will kill some things before most deathstar armies can even respond.
The drop Pods being in the fast attack slot means the Servitors can be dropped on objectives, they might be mind-locked 90% of the time but it's not like you want them moving anyway.
The Deathpack can run and charge meaning they can make a first turn charge with or without the Wulfen boost, making them a reliable way of getting to Bjorn's defense before your opponent can mount a counter-attack.
The Heralds are a pretty hardy group and can either be used as a mounted assault unit, more durable but less hard-hitting than TWC or for digging in and holding objectives.

As for the Wulfen, their roll is just after your reserves roll.

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.

Wulfen can't pod then roll, sadly.

Id say the lack of variety may be an issue, as if one has a means of dealing with wulfen (S8 or massed dakka) then you'll have very little left...

In objetctives based games will your BC's + Pods be enough, or will they be dealt with?

Seems like too much and not enough of things

I would say take only 2 hammer/shield per Wulfen unit and axes all the way. Hitting with them on initiative in charge i great and it is not like losing a Wulfen later to retaliate on the same ini that he died gives more chance to take something with him.

How do you expect to survive shooting when coming out of a drop pod with only armor 4?
