Subject: SpeedFreeks - a new 40k game coming to mobile devices soon
What well what the feth do you expect Brook? GW continues to give their IP to any mobile producer who looks at them for more than two seconds and we get one pointless game after another.
It is easy to be cynical but warhammer quest is good, Deathwatch is good, the bfg game is good, freeblade is shallow fun. Eisenhorn is an interesting experiment. I don't know why this is not called gorkamorka but I will give it a go. If I get one good game for every 5 they put out, that is enough for me.

Out of genuine curiosity, how many of these have you actually played?

Yes, quite! I've played the port of Warhammer Quest, which I admittedly got during a sale, because as is, the game and it's DLC is way too expensive! It's clunky, but still enjoyable and brings back fun memories. Of the others I've only played Freeblade, which is good fun in my opinion and Horus Heresy Drop Assault, which I've played for quite some time before the devs killed it with certain updates that nerfed the gak out of everything.
Not every game out there is yet another Snotling Fling. I much prefer to give every title the benefit of the doubt instead of being a dour gakker who shoots down every announcement with the usual "Mehhhhhhrrrrrrr, it's shovelware" straight away.

+1 for BFG. It is awesome and I hope they release more detachments.
It's hit or miss sometimes, but they did that one right. Freeblade is a lot of fun too and they just added vs.
No madam, 40,000 is the year that this game is set in. Not how much it costs. Though you may have a point. - GW Fulchester
The Gatling Guns have flamethrowers on them because this is 40k - DOW III

Well, that's what happens when you pimp out your IP to every two-bit gak merchant out there. They've made their bed and now they have to lay in it.
That's why IP-holders are usually a bit picky with who they allow working with the IP and employ some quality control. If you don't (even of some of the games are of good quality): short term you pocket some quick cash from the showelware but eventually, long term, your brand gets diminished and people don't give you the benefit of the doubt anymore.

The change of strategy is actually impressive and I'm curious to see if it was worth it in the end. Extra Credits explains it better than I ever could:
Actually, I have to thank their new strategy. People can complain, but if they still guarded it like it was the holy grail would we have BFG today? Deathwatch? The Eisenhorn game? Hell, I love the Tin Man's "Choose your own path" 40k game book.

I don't know the answer, but BFG:Armada is AMAZING. Definitely worth all the other junk in my opinion.
