If anyone is looking to get any commissioned work done. I would avoid this "studio". I had 2 projects with them. My first project took 1 year to complete. It was 38 Starship Trooper Arachnids and a Heirophant. I was quoted that it would be complete in 2 weeks to a month.

After constant hounding and pressure to finish and a million different excuses why it wasn't done it was done 365 days to the day. Because of the time it took the owner offered me some credit towards another project and a discount off the project. I commissioned him to paint up a bunch of genestealers.

He informed me that if I assembled them myself they would need to meet his Quality Control standards. I chose to use one of his assemblers but paid them with models. He told me this assembler was up to his standards and had completed a couple projects for him already.

He originally told me he would not be able to begin this second project until August 2016. I said that was fine. Then in June he contacted me saying he had a "financial snafu" and needed to take on more projects. He asked that I pay him 50% of the quoted price and he would begin sooner.

The assembler was not ready to have them all completed and thought he had until August. So I informed him that as soon as he was done assembling the project could begin. He knocked out all the models in about 3 weeks. TTS picked up the project and about a week later said that about 50% of the models were not up to his standards. So his assembler came out and fixed half of the ones that needed some clean up.

TTS said they could begin with what he had now which was the first part of July. The project remained unworked and then about a month later TTS told me that not being able to finish my project because he didnt have all the models was costing him money. I asked if he had finished the half of the project he had. I was told that they hadn't begun it at all and to pressure the assembler to finish the rest of the assembly.

Both the assembler and I were originally told that TTS could finish the first part of the project before needing the 2nd half. When I told TTS that was not what I was told he got very defensive and said that he would refund my money and mail back my models. During this time TTS claimed some illness that was preventing him from working but he continued to go about the rest of his social life(He had me on Facebook to keep in touch on the progress and was posting up all his other social things on there.)

Sounds like a cluster feth.
Once bitten twice shy I guess.

Yeah, I generally want to give people the benefit of the doubt(Because sometimes life doesn't come smooth all the time) so a second project with a pretty heavy discount makes giving them a shot worth it.

When given this review on the owners page his girlfriend made fake profiles to make counter claims to what I was making a review about. I would further warn that you avoid getting any work done with this person.

If I'm not mistaken this guy was doing some stuff with/for Blue Table Painting a while back.
They don't have the best track record.
On video the guy seems a bit slow and the works doesn't look too good either.
Best avoided methinks.

Yeah, he was working with BTP and they "had a falling out" is what I was told is why he started up his own studio. His stuff all looked presentable and his prices were fair for what he could do.........assuming he actually ever does complete the work.

A new day, a new time zone.

Sounds like someone suffering from a fairly classic case of underestimating just how much work is actually involved in project management and execution, when you turn your hobby into your work.

Yeah, I think there might have been a bit of that to begin with and I was more than reasonable for dealing with him. The second time around he became very hostile about my inquiries about the progress. Given a year to complete the first project things should have been more sorted out which he assured me they were.
