Greetings everyone.

I'm new to AoS and need some serious help regarding my army list.

I got into AoS for the modeling part at first but i got two friends into it as well and we recently started gaming using matched play rules.

My unit list is as follows :

1x Mighty Lord of Khorne
1x Bloodsecrator
1x Bloodstoker
1x Khorgorath
5x models Blood Warriors
40x models Bloodreavers
1x The Glottkin
1x Curseling, Lord of Tzeentch
1x Skarr Bloodwrath
3x models Flamers of Tzeentch

Could you suggest a decent list from these as well as what i should look into getting next?

Update
Since my group is basically myself and my two friends I can provide a roster of the armies that I play against.
We are currently keeping a 1400 point cap to keep it fair for my order friend who’s still at around 1350-1400 points and we plan to eventually cap our army points at 2000.
So my order playing friend has a turtle setup with:
1x war altar of sigmar
1x celestial hurricanum
1x warrior priest
1x master engineer
1x battle wizard
2x empire state troop (freeguild guard) units of 10 models each
1x unit of empire outriders
1x empire cannon (which wrecks me every damn game)

My second m8 plays death with:
Mannfred
1x Wight king
Heinrich Kemmler
A friggin mourngul
1x unit of 10 Black Knights
3x Units of 10 skelly warriors
And 2 units of Grave guards
His usual setup includes both Mannfred and Mourngul with 3 skelly warriors to keep the battleline limit.

1x Mighty Lord of Khorne
1x Bloodsecrator
1x Bloodstoker
1x Khorgorath
5x models Blood Warriors
40x models Bloodreavers
1x Skarr Bloodwrath

Comes to 900 points even. Seems like a good start! Maybe get one more khorgrath to bump up to 1000

The Glotkin is nasty, i would definately use him at 1500

only issue is he is a great buff for your army as well, IF the units are Nurgle.

All anyone wants in the world is to be accepted. Except me, i don't give a S%@t.

Would a mixed Khorne/Nurgle setup be possible?

It is. In open play it's no big deal. I play Slaves/Khorne. Obviously, with Nurgle and Khorne, you have two different synergies, but I don't see that as a problem. Slaves can take keyword Khorne, so they get buffs from Khorne heroes, totems, etc. In matched play, the rules still allow it, but they're a bit different. I like the ability to mix units from within an Alliance. At some point, I'm adding some Storm Vermin to my army, just because.

IN GENERAL, khorne and nurgle play well with each other. Nurge is the anvil and khorne is the hammer. One does the stabbing, while the other can take a stabbing. But in synergistic terms.. it can be tough to find the right balance for you.

From what i see in chaos (chaos gods, not including skaven, beastmen, etc) khorne, nurgle, and slaneesh are the main hitter, while tzeentch is the range army. And Their main power is the synergy keyword thing, while other army ofc have that too, chaos is more observable than others. Khorne has bloodsecrator and the others, nurgle has epdermius and other heal from other units, and slaneesh.... Only has the basic daemon (minion daemon gain buff if within the hero). That's why thry are not really compatible, since they compete in close combat slot. While txeentch, onthe other hand, they only take magic and range slot, so it's compatible with the others. So if you wanna combine chaos, just tzeentch+another god IMO. Sorry if this seems overly competitive

It would be so great to find a good way to mix Khorne with the great Nurgle models. Having looked it over a dozen times I keep finding new ways for a Khorne warband to aid one another, and Nurgle can also aid Nurgle. Mixing them is much more challenging. It seems it will require far more units and a lot of heroes.

My best solution at the moment would be to have part of a pure Khorne warband and bring in Slaves to Darkness to give them mark of Khorne. When you feel like playing more defensively I would bring Nurgle Rotbringer heroes and units and align the Slaves to Darkness units to Nurgle.

And right there is the reason to have chaos warriors above blood warriors, and chaos knights above mighty skullcrushers.

With love from Denmark
