Reclamation:
5 Immortal (Gauss)
5 Lychguard (Shield)
Overlord (Phase, Veil, Scythe)
3 Tomb Blades (Neb, Vanes, Beamer)
3 Tomb Blades (Neb, Vanes, Gauss)
24 Warriors

Destroyer Cult
D Lord (Phase, Solar Staff)
3 Destroyers
3 Destroyers
3 Destroyers
2 Heavy Destroyers

Judicator Battalion
5 Praets (Rod)
5 Praets (Rod)
1 Stalker (Heat Ray)

Debating the destroyer cult layout and the lychguard. I could shift it to 3 squads of 2 destroyers 1 heavy, drop 3 tomb blades, and add 5 more lychguard for added deepstrike mayhem.
Current plan is Overlord, DLord, and Lychguard DS together using Veil. D Lord uses solar pulse. Next turn D Lord jumps out of coherency and blinds my target, OL and Lych Charge and mulch. Gives me a DLord hopping around the backfield with a blind staff while my Olord eats enemies.
Stalker and Heavy D sit in the back and snipe. Praet move with warriors and jump ahead when they get close. Immortals guard the backfield. Tomb blades skate around causing ruckus.

Thoughts? Comments? (Yes it is weird I don't have Canoptek Harvest. Yes I know how strong it is. Quite frankly I find them very one dimensional and it makes Necron a very predictable game. More likely to win, sure, but not nearly as fun.)

I'm with you on the Canoptek Harvest and Wraith spam isn't performing as well as it used to. People have learned how to play around it and it can't really get past Warp Spiders, Scatter Bikes or Fire Stream Wings. I would keep your Destroyer squads at 3-strong, but if you're going to reconfigure the Cult, drop the Heavies. 50 points for a Lascannon is pretty bad. More Lychguard can't hurt, but if you're going the Lych-star route, you want super friends. Zandrekh, Obyron and Orikan taken as a Royal Court. I like your idea of a Blinding D-Lord harassing your opponent, but I don't think it's a very effective way to use D-Lords. #1. A Blind check is an initiative check and most armies have initiative 4 or up, #2. You're wasting the obvious assault capability of a D-Lord. I think a Warscythe or the Voidreaper is more appropriate.

I agree on dropping the unit of Heavies, BUUUUT I would uprade 1 Heavy per Destroyer unit. I makes them a very versatile unit. You can still shoot them at models with T, but now you might insta-kill a T4 models. Or you can fire are tanks and get that sweet Tank- Hunter.

Was traveling for work, just catching up. Good thoughts, I guess I see things from the Necron perspective and Blind is a killer for me, but you are right it won't be as effective on others. Change summary I dropped 2 warriors and added more gear to my DLord. Also reorganized my destroyers to 5 3 3 format using 1 heavy in each squad of 3. Total points are 1844, I can drop 2 more warriors for a total of 32 points to spend if I want. Debating voidreaper on the destroyer or maybe reso orb on the Olord. Thoughts? Also who is better as a warlord, Destroyer is stronger but Overlord has bodyguards...

List is below:

Reclamation:
5 Immortal (Gauss)
5 Lychguard (Shield)
Overlord (Phase, Veil, Scythe)
3 Tomb Blades (Neb, Vanes, Beamer)
3 Tomb Blades (Neb, Vanes, Gauss)
22 Warriors

Destroyer Cult
D Lord (Phase, Scythe, Phyl)
5 Destroyers
2 Destroyers 1 Heavy
2 Destroyers 1 Heavy

Judicator Battalion
5 Praets (Rod)
5 Praets (Rod)
1 Stalker (Heat Ray)

Overlord, Destroyer Lord, unit of wraiths: teleport them turn 1 with the veil of darkness. *WALL/PUNCH* That should allow your judicator battalion to move forward with the rest of your warriors. Destroyer cult control side and cover.

I like the heavy destroyers. They usualy do a lot of damage for me.

Finaly I would put more warriors and ghost arks (night scythes? Half and Half?) instead of the judicator battalion but it can be awesome in some circonstances.

Please don't call the HD's 'just a lascannon'. It's a lascannon that won't die, and when placed next to a stalker it's pretty much an auto-kill against 95% of enemy forces. WIthin the cult formation, it's virtually an auto-kill full stop.

If you can stretch, the improvement that is needed here is an additional stalker.

I agree with Ffyllotek, you should try to fit one more stalker in the Judicator Battalion. My suggestion would be to drop the Lychguard. If you arent going to go for a full Lychstar (Orikan, Obyron, etc.) then they will just sort of walk forward and hope something comes close. Having the extra stalker gives you a better chance of not dropping the first blood points to the turn one melta pod. The extra 4" thanks to the walker squadron rule of coherency also helps your BS bubble.

Also if you drop the Lychguard you can drop the Veil of Darkness which may also allow you to purchase something else. Or keep it cause it is fun

Did the math. I can drop 2 destroyers, 2 warriors, and my DLord's phyl and have just enough points for a second stalker. I do run into issues with enemies trying to pop my stalker first turn.

I really like the lychguard. I almost never give up "Slay the warlord" with them, and it is incredibly fun to use veil. Every time I build a list I look at dropping them (I admit they are very point heavy for what they do) but having a virtually unkillable warlord is great even if it is slow. Proper positioning with the lychguard can practically cut the board in half based on the terrain, which is a huge advantage when most of my army is jump / jetpack. That plus it is just awesome to have robot skeletons with a sword and shield running around in a futuristic warzone.

I would drop your heavy destroyers out of the units of destroyers. Gauss makes them multi purpose sure but they don't have split fire and have different ideal targets. Gauss is already general purpose with auto glance/wound. I like heavy destroyers but would only take them in a stand alone unit.

Definitely need that second stalker.

I think at 1850 you're trying to do too much with destroyer cult, justicar, AND lychstar. If you drop the lych(terrible as it may be) you could stick the overlord and d lord with pretorians. They make competent bodyguards and you can always split up.

Or drop all the other goodies. Your extra warriors and sadly maybe a unit of tomb blades. This would buy you that extra stalker and still allow for your mini lychstar. The d lord should always take a warsythe or voidreaper if you're thinking wraithknight.

Just my $0.02 if you don't want to go the wraith route.

*Grumbles and removes lychguard* Dropped the lychguard, a couple warriors, retooled my lord gear, and replaced overlord with CCB. This gave me just enough points to squeeze in a stalker. I figure if I am going to drop the lychguard my Olord might as well ride in style (change warlord to Dlord in this scenario). I will need to buy a stalker and CCB to complete this list so I am going to run my other first, but I think this is a good way to shore up some weaknesses in my original list.

Reclamation:
5 Immortal (Gauss)
CCB (Phase, Phyl, Scythe)
3 Tomb Blades (Neb, Vanes, Beamer)
3 Tomb Blades (Neb, Vanes, Gauss)

The CCB for me is hit and miss. But you're definitely getting there. Try it out and see how you feel.
