Either way this has been irritating me for a while now. What armor mark is this helmet? (currently equipped on the character, and selected in the menu, top left)

It has various other marks and styles available, such as different Mk 5 Heresy, Mk4, Mk6 Corvus, the default helmet (its even named as such) is the Mk7 Aquilla. It goes as low as Mk3 Iron armor. But this one just says "Helmet" and it bugs me beyond belief.

The absolute closest I've been able to find (model wise) is a few helmets on White Scars in the HH line of Forgeworld, but they don't fit 100% due to various metal pieces on the sides, the helmet plumes, and the different vision slot.

I keep thinking its a version of Mk2 armor, but the face plate is all wrong. I also considered it to be a modified Aegis armor (Grey Knights) but again the mouth plate is different and its missing things like Skull ornaments. but of course beyond Lexicanum, Google, and others there is little I can find.

If this is just a one-off (just for the game) design then so be it. I ask as I would like to make a lone SM guy based on my Eternal Crusade character, if only to have for display.

It is no specific mark. Like the helmet worn by the Company Champion here

Some Marines have more personal helmet types; this could be a MK7 with a replaced mouth grill.

I should think of a new signature... In the meantime, have a

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

In the game Space Marine that helmet was simply refered to as "veteran", which makes sense as I have only seen it on veteran and captain space marine models.

It's a Mk.8 variant. GK Aegis Armour is modified Mk.8, but you can see normal Mk.8 on Space Marines in newer kits. It's characterized by the high collar and thicker shin plates.

(Mk.8 helmets come in two forms, the wacky medievalist shape seen here and on GK models, and the taller Mk.7-like helmets seen in the Deathwatch kit.)

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

I would like to note that the cosmetic armor used on the game character is a Mark 3 Iron chest plate, the legs/arms/shoulders are a vague "Artificer Armor" that adds silver trim and some differences in the greaves and other parts (increased stats and whatnot to purge heretics and xenos with). Its the Helmet I'm not quite sure on.

Thank you all for your responses. I think Ill modify some Command squad marine bits and get my character together to purge xenos and burn heretics with.
