More specifically this part:
"Loyal sons of Mankind, now is the hour to prove you are worthy of the Emperor’s blessing. The Arch-enemy have summoned allies ancient beyond reckoning and bound these foul creature to their very weapons. Should you encounter such wargear, do not touch it, or your soul will be forfeit. These artefacts should immediately be put to flame and purified with litanies of destruction. A complement of fully sanctified Adepta Sororitas will be on station to aid you and purify any such items.*"

It's the ordo malleus inquistor speaking but he talks about sending sisters of battle. More often used to hunt witches, aka psykers.
Any chance at all that this could be a hint of things to come?

On a different note, who could the xenos be that they're referring to?

Daemon weapons, it specifically says the arch-enemy has bound ancient allies to a weapon. It also mentions swords that talk and produce their own flames. Other than that probably a general order not to touch anything that belonged to a traitor in case the heresy is contagious. The Xenos are probably Eldar seeing as the Inquisitor wants to exploit them and they have a habit of showing up when Chaos is rising.

I was thinking it would be more appropriate to send a few grey knights to deal with daemon weapons, but then I remembered that they don't exists as far as the average citizen/soldier is concerned. Sisters are the next best thing to deal with them officially, at least so long as said daemons don't decide to break free and invite their friends for a party.

IIRC Kai Guns are just one example of binding daemons to a weapon so um yes and no. Probably not specific to a long-forgotten bit of wargear but they would fit the description.

Its just general puritan propaganda, to daemonize perfectly good daemon killing weapons.

Xenos species.... the dark angels are there with their fleet right. They sure have some xenos species that deserve to be purged. Or its one of those groups of eldar babysitters. They always pop up to spoil the fun when humans discover something coo.

I thought kai guns were the chaos equivalent of psychic guns? And with sororitas being witch hunters and all that it would have made more sense to send them than grey knights. But yea, there aren't really any other options than sisters, psychic element or not.
