I'm trying to switch back to playing mainly xenos because I'm just getting tired of all the power armor everywhere. Myself and a few others try to help them get better at the game, but it can get a little boring when all but one of them have power armor armies.]]></description>

Bikes and speeder move up and clear the way of any armor. Rhinos and Vindicators make up wave 3 to wreak face and take objectives. The 2 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>tac</span> squads will be split to hold home objectives and take <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(239);'>Las</span> shots and anything they can. Hordes shouldn't be to much trouble and i have a decent amount of Melta for armor, is the list any good? and where should i put Pedro?]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ After taking a few years out from gaming I'm back and wanted to collect an Imperial Guard army, which I've never previously tried. Going to start off with a nice sized 1000pt army list and then expand from that. The Stormraven will come in reserve (other than turns I go first) and flat out to get the Furioso in good position.<br /> <br /> Does this type of list work on the tabletop?  i don't own a Stormraven or Furioso yet and was wondering how it would do.   Are there just too many disparate things going on with fast ASM, slow Devastators, a vehicle, and a big chunk of the army depending on reserve rolls? 				<title>First time Warhammer player!  Tyranid hopefull</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ So I am brand new to warhammer and plan on buying my fair share of models!  I am excited to get into the hobby, but have no real experience with anything like this.  I was wondering if I could get an idea on how to build my first army.  :thumbsup:<br /> The army that I was hoping to play was Tyranid and am glad to hear they are gonna get some love from <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> soon.  I've been reading their codex and looking around at army color schemes and trying to get an idea on which direction I might take.  I have heard of two different ways to build an army quite frequently.  One is the Stealer shock and the other is a fex based army. The 2 snipers Scout units will eventually infiltrate, wait in reserves or outflank depending on objects positioning.<br /> <br /> The first turn will obviously see Shrike with mixed Terminators run and eventually assault, the Land Speeder Storm Flat out and the Librarian + Hammernators using the Gate of Infinity to advance quickly (profiting from the Teleport Homer). The other units will shoots if possible.<br /> <br /> Dawn of War deployments will obviously cause some problems, I will eventually field the Librarian in solo with 2 units of scouts on foot. All if possible out of Line of Sight and then, starting from the second turn I will let everithing comin'in. The Hammernators unit will join the Librarian. The Land Speeder Storm will flat out in, the Thunderfires + Typhoons will take positions (speeders flatting out) and eventually I will consider to outflank Shrike with the mixed Terminators.<br /> <br /> Do you think this as a viable list? Lukas is made to die, while Njal + the grey hunters would do some decent damage, resulting in a good chance of kill points for me. the Lone wolves would throw themselves into combat for their ability to not give kill points, and would probably die quickly, even with their storm shields.<br /> [b]Note: this is a killpoints only army. it would not do all that well when not using only the killpoints win condition. To those not familiar with the Space Wolves armies, Lone wolves do not give kill points if they are killed, only if they live through the whole game.[/b]<br /> Would love to hear your opinions.  ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ A quick headsup before you read this, we're using a modified <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(187);'>FoC</span> for this tournament, so when you notice that I've got 5 elite choices, this is why. The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(187);'>FoC</span> we're allowed to use is:<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> - 1*<br /> Elites - unlimited<br /> Troops - 2*<br /> Fast - 1*<br /> Heavy - 0 to 2<br /> <br /> *notice <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>, Troops, and Fast are not ranges they are compulsory<br /> <br /> That said here's the list I've come up with. This was really tough to write up because with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> our elites suck, so instead I tried to make the most of my troops and heavy slots, using the elites as extras, rather than as the main chunk of my army. I'd like to run something in this list's vein, but it could use some optimization for sure. Basically, I'm asking for advice on how you'd write a list where almost all of your slots have been cut in half, and you have the option to run as many elite slots as you feel like. I like the list except for the elite slots, where I'd really like to change some things up. If you guys know some better <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> elites, or better ways to run the few choices we get, I'd love to hear it. For example, Yarrick will be joined with the Ogryn in one scenario, with Al'Rahem's platoon in another, and deepstriked in by himself in the third. The Vet squad will flying around in the vendetta in all the scenarios, basically causing as much trouble as it can. Al'Rahem's squad is basically designed to cause as much damage as possible since I don't need to worry about keeping them alive for scoring (in one scenario they can even deep strike if what I read in the rules is correct). The Demolishers and the Ogryn will be sticking close together and bringing pain wherever they go, and the Storm Troopers and Marbo will be dropping in wherever they're needed. Fairly straightfoward list, I just tried to bring as much firepower as possible to deal with all of the possible elite choices the other players might bring.]]></description>

Seems mean to me.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>: Lelith<br /> 3 x 10 wyches (whips and nets) w/ hekatrix (w/ agonizer), all with haywire grenades and raiders with flicker field<br /> 1 x 8 Bloodbrides (hydraguantlets)  with siren  all with haywire grenades and raider with flicker field (<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> will be in this group)<br /> 2 x 3 Kabalite Trueborns w/ 2Dark Lances, in Venoms with Splinter Cannon<br /> 3 x Ravager<br /> 1 x 5 Reavers w a Heat Ray<br /> 2 x 5 Kabalite warriors with shredder on one (to walk on for objective taking).<br /> <br /> Pretty straight forward.  Maximize Dark Lances.  Wyches for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span>. 				<title>Boss Battle</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ So, tournament upcoming, and, here are the rules:<br /> <br /> Boss rules:<br /> Points: 425 Maximum.  There is no minimum.<br /> Must be a single <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> choice. <br /> Upgrades must be legal within codex options.<br /> May include a retinue, but it must be a legal option and meet force organizational standards. No partial units. <br /> May include a transport if that is optional but total armor value of front, side and rear may not exceed 35.<br /> Models MUST be <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(150);'>WYSIWYG</span> (exceptions for grenades and stuff are reasonable)<br /> <br /> Battle Rules:<br /> Players will draw random starting times.  Lower point value Bosses will gain a slight draw advantage.  All even number players will move at the same time as will all odd.<br /> In the event two or more odds or evens plan to move against each other a roll off will determine who will move first.  All shooting of evens will happen simultaneously as will all odds.  In the event two or more odds or evens plan to charge each other a roll off will determine who will move first but both sides receive the +1A for charging.<br /> <br /> Game Objectives:<br /> Victory Points will be awarded to anyone who kills a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> unit. 				<title>Mech Tau 2000pts</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Looking for suggestions on how I could better equip the units listed and suggestions for possible tactics with the list and possible blind spots. <br />  [b]Do not want to hear "get more crisis suits and broadsides" [/b] <br /> I use a loose strategy of reserving the piranha, one flank and the other standard reserve combined with the positional relay.  Piranha serve as my primary anti-mech and work as a deterrent to opponants eager to rush my units. 				<description><![CDATA[ When the codex first came out I set out to make an AV13 spam list, but 4 ghost arks later I  regretting the decision. Regardless I want to use what I already have so here is a slightly modified version of the initial list. <br /> <br /> Overlord - Warscythe<br /> Catacomb Command Barge<br /> 4x HoDestruction 1 solar pulse<br /> <br /> 2x Triarch Stalkers<br /> <br /> 4x 5 warriors<br /> 4x Ghost Arks<br /> <br /> 2x 7 Scarab Swarm<br /> <br /> 3x Annihilation Barge<br /> <br /> So that's the general premise. Currently it's ten points under so the lord will get another upgrade of some kind. <br /> <br /> I was considering consolidating the two scarab units into one unit of 10 and buying an additional 5 man warrior squad to walk in from reserves, or even dropping the scarabs to one unit of 8 and throw another cryptek in the reserved warrior squad. <br /> <br /> <br /> Thoughts?<br /> <br /> ]]></description>
