The idea is to top the top two tiers of the wedding cake howdah and add it to the spider, it will hold four orcs, mainly converted chariot crew and arrer boyz.  I see no reason not to take it to tourney this year.<br /> <br /> <br /> So an Arachnarok with four orcs and no goblins that should have eight goblins and no orcs, is this a:<br /> <br /> 1. A thematic conversion that noone should have problems with<br /> [i]or[/i]<br /> 2. If I had 2 or 3 Tzeentch casters, could they all choose the same lore? or would only one of them know the spells and the others only know the lore attribute and signature spell?]]></description>

				<title>Night Goblin modeling question</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Hey, sorry if this is in the wrong section...it's a question, so I figured I'd toss it here. I'm looking into starting an Orcs and Goblins army (specifically Night Goblins) and I keep encountering the same thing over and over. People consistently sell/identify Night Goblins with Spears + Shields as Night Goblins with Hand Weapons + Shields.<br /> <br /> To clarify, I've now talked to [u]three[/u] separate sellers. Each seller has listed "X amount of Night Goblins with Hand Weapons + Shields", but the pictures show that all the goblins are equipped with spears + shields.<br /> <br /> Are the sellers mistaken? Or am I missing something?<br /> <br /> Thanks!]]></description>

				<title>What can a Tomb King on Warsphinx join?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I know, I know- waste of a Tomb King, putting him on one of those.  But I was wondering what units, if any, he'd be able to join while riding a Sphinx.<br /> <br /> From what I can tell, Lords and Heroes can join pretty much any unit, as long as they're the same type?  So would a Sphinx King be able to join, for example, a unit of Necropolis Knights?  What about another Sphinx?  Chariots? (base size is the same)<br /> <br /> And when a Tomb King or Tomb Prince is on a Warsphinx, do they count as Characters riding Monsters, or Monstrous Cavalry?  I don't think it says so anywhere in the book...]]></description>

				<title>Arachnarok's never take monster reaction tests?</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I was reading through my OnG book yesterday and noticed that there doesn't seem to be any rule explaining how shooting works with the howdah crew on the arachnarok. I know there are rules that govern how shooting works at the skinks on a stegadon, but these seem to be lacking for the spider, even after the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(36);'>FAQ</span> as far as I can tell. So my big question is does the spider ever take a monster reaction test if the goblins can't be targeted? Even in the case of a shaman rider, it says randomize the shots, 1-4 hitting the spider 5-6 hitting the shaman. If the shaman is slain, the crew would still be in control of the spider, or would this be a case of a "two rider" monster. There are rules for that in the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(13);'>BRB</span>, but I'm not clear as to whether or not this is a case.<br /> <br /> How do you guys play this  out? ]]></description>

				<title>Simple night goblin fanatic question(s)</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ At least, I think it's simple. I'm completely new to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(147);'>WHFB</span> and I'm considering starting an Orcs and Goblins army. I just want to have a full understanding of the army before I start collecting, so I apologize if this is a dumb question.<br /> <br /> From my searching online, it looks like everyone seems to agree that Night Goblin Fanatics will [i]only[/i] inflict <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(1);'>2D6</span> hits if the enemy ends their movement directly on top of the fanatics. But on <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(329);'>pg</span>. 53 of the army book, it says that "Any unit that moves into contact with a Fanatic" would take the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(1);'>2D6</span> (a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(24);'>D6</span> for touching it and a further <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(24);'>D6</span> from its death throes). How exactly does this work?<br /> The way I'm interpreting it, any unit that touches the Fanatic (moves into contact) would take <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(1);'>2D6</span> hits and then the Fanatic would be removed as a casualty. I'm sure this is wrong, but I need someone to break it down for me :D <br /> <br /> On a somewhat related note, their "Splat!" rule doesn't seem to make a ton of sense to me. It says that if the Fanatic would end its move within a unit, then he automatically bounces through it...but I thought if the Fanatic ends its move within a unit, it (the fanatic) was destroyed. Again, a quick explanation would be greatly appreciated.<br /> <br /> Thanks in advance!]]></description>

				<title>Counts as shields</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I was recommended shields for my black orcs here. 4+ shooting save plus a third melee combat option sounds interesting enough.  My problem is that first Black orcs dont get many shields, four in a pack of ten; secondly black orcs dont rank up easily without shields, with is gonna be difficult.<br /> <br /> So what to do?<br /> <br /> Options include:<br /> <br /> [b]The Enchanted Drum[/b]<br /> My Black orc musician has a magic drum that adds +1 save at the cost of 1pt per black orc in the unit.<br /> <br /> [b]Gots what the boss's got.[/b]<br /> Model the unit champion and standard bearer with shield, now they all have them. 				<title>Dark elf questions regarding spells</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Hello there everyone!<br /> I would like to ask you a few questions if possible to be answered.<br /> First of all I would like to ask about black horror. The models under the blast takes a toughness test or suffers a wound with no armor saves allowed. Now here comes the question, can the models take ward save normally? SInce the rulebook says that whenever a spell calls for a characteristic test you cannot take any other possible save other than the test itself.<br /> Bladewind: targeted unit takes <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(2);'>3d6</span> ws4 str4 attacks like being in close combat you can allocate the attacks on a character, champion etc in the unit. BUT! 				<description><![CDATA[ I'm sure I'm going to have a ton of questions as time goes on.  I just got the book.  It's gigantic.  It has the best artwork of any <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> book I own (and I own like 95% of them).  And it make some of the Lords/Heroes in this forum's Proposed Rules section look like wet paper bag pansies.<br /> <br /> -Chaos Dwarves have the own army list with Lords/Heroes/Core/Specials/Rares, but also have rules for being in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(385);'>WoC</span>.  In that little blurb section, it moves a bunch of the Specials to Rares and says the CD cannot be Generals.  But  under Hobgoblins it says a CD must be general.  So very simple question, can Chaos Dwarfs be their own army outside of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(385);'>WoC</span> or must they be included in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(385);'>WoC</span> with a non-Dwarf General?<br /> <br /> -Iron Daemon.  How does this thing wheel and pivot if it's carrying other war machines?  Do you treat them like they are one unit on one tray?  Is there a gap in between them?<br /> <br /> -Does the spell Ash Storm (which has to be one of the awesomer spells in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(147);'>WHFB</span>, despite the lackluster Hashut list in general) prevent an army from engaging in melee at all?  It says they can only use their "base movement and not charge, march or fly."  The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(13);'>BRB</span> states the only way into combat is to charge.  So if they were 1" away and get Ash Stormed, they have to just sit there (or pivot and move somewhere else).<br /> <br /> <br /> Overall, it's a fun book.  I haven't read all the fluff yet.  I think the Core are too expensive for what they do.  I think their Special MI are pretty bad (they kill themselves).  I think some of their rules for mega super big monsters are a good direction for monsters in general.  And they have without a doubt the best war machines in the game.  Like everything and its mother can be made T8.  It also has some new scenarios which are pretty good and campaign rules and restrictions which are pretty good.  Oh, and there's also some heroes for Empire which are super duper crazy good and some <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(385);'>WoC</span> troops which are mega powerful.  If they made mistakes, I think they tended to overcost units than undercost.  Like Bile Trolls, which are like O&G river trolls with slightly different stats, are 15 more points.  But better safe than sorry I guess.]]></description>

Unit B Also causes Fear but has a character that causes Terror but is not immune to psychology (Ogres). If yes where is it written exaclty? 				<description><![CDATA[ So as a Wood Elf player I spend most of my time running away. A game I played earlier today brought up an interesting situation. I had a small unit of bowmen, at their back was a large block of impassible terrain, and at their front was a scary large unit of zombies. The zombies declared a charge and I declared a flee. My Flee distance was something like 7" which would result in them being in the middle of the impassible terrain, but according to the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(13);'>BRB</span> if a unit ends a flee move in impassible terrain then they are moved to 1" inch away from the far end of the terrain (with difficult terrain tests). The Zombies rolled 13" (9+4M) which was enough to catch the bowmen, but the catching would happen in the middle of the impassible terrain. <br /> <br /> So what happens here? Do the zombies count as catching the bowmen and are transported to the far side of the impassible terrain, or count at catching the bowmen but stop when they hit the terrain (it was only about 5" away from their front) or do the the bowmen get away, being transported to the far end and the zombies stop at the impassible.<br /> <br /> I want to think it's the last one just because it means I can get away easier, and I honestly think it happens this way because of the way redirecting works (unit A declares charge, rolls distance, unit B declares flee, rolls distance, unit B moves distance, unit A declares redirection, passes leadership, unit A declares charge on unit C, rolls distance blah blah blah) a.k.a. the action of fleeing happens before the charge happens.<br /> <br /> thoughts? ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ This is was a while ago, but it still bugs me. I was facing another dwarf player, he was an "ok" guy but he seemed to try to play with the rules a bit. But I wasn't sure and I'm still not. He fired his cannon at my unit, my runesmith being at the front of the unit (5 wide, 6 deep) he then drew a st8 line right over my front rank and said "I hit your hero, wounding on 2's, he rolled a one so he didn't kill my hero, but I said, wait a min, you cant hit my hero, he's in a unit I can just put it on to another guy, he said no its your hero see, and flicks his pointy thing to show me that the line is drawn over my hero so that means my hero gets hit, and I said fine I don't want to argue (I'm still new to the rules), but I said "but he does get a look out sir, he said "No, your hero gets hit..." does the same thing with his red stick................<br /> <br /> So could have he killed my hero while he was inside the unit or not? cause I'm not sure on this.<br /> <br /> Cheers<br /> <br /> Simon]]></description>
