Tips for building a FW Titan?

I am building a Chaos FW titan, and need some tips on how to build the strongest leg structure possible. The structure that I used wasnt strong enough (I built it stupidly when I was 13), and now I am rebuilding it. For those who have the rather badly designed FW kit, how did you build yours so that it wouldnt fall down? Sorry for the noob question, but people on this forum seem to know what they are doing.

[1,750] Red Corsairs for GD

Well, every online forum seems to have distinct (sometimes contradictory) ideas about what makes a good list. So, this is the list I'm considering running at the Grand Tournament for Games Day LA in August. They're supposed to be renegades, not daemon worshippers, so if it looks a bit like a Loyalist Army with spikes, there's a reason.

1,750 Games Day Red Corsairs

HQ - 160

Chaos Lord – 160
Daemon Weapon
Bike

(Travels with other bikers.
Ulthwe army for the future

Looking at 5th edition rules I have been thinking of coming up with a decent army for all comers. I played ulthwe for a good long time back in 3rd ed and figured that I would like to do so again. With only troops being able to score it kind of makes sense to me to do ulthwe seeing as thats what they like to use. I tried to make a decent (if a bit fluffy) army that should be able to handle all comers. It has a decent amount of firepower for both anti tank and anti infantry. It is a bit close combat light but I am hoping the firepower might be able to take enemy squads down to manageable levels before they reach combat. Between jetbikes, vypers, and infiltrating scorpions I have a decent number of fast movers. I also have no huge point sink units so basically all of the support units are expendable supporting the scoring troop core. I like the look of the army and it not too much different from what I fielded back in the day. (pretty much this with 2 wraithlords, 1 prism and the council, with the rest trimmed down for 1500). By focusing on the list's shortcomings (i.e. ranged) hopefully it will be better at taking on a wider variety of opponents lists.

Deamon to Angel army conversion

Hi All! Im new here. ~8) Learned about the site listening to the D-:six: Generation. Yay.

Im working on fielding an Angel Army based on the new Deamon Book. Im looking for models that will make good "Good" substitutions for the current ones. I have a few in mind so far, such as Empire Flagellants as Zealots, in place of horros.

Im looking for perhaps Lions to replace Hounds.
For Nurglings I want to do small babies/children/kittens/puppies on bases. They are tough to find though.
Been looking at the confrontation lines, ESPECIALLY the Lions, for my Khorne/ Nurgle core choices. Sadly though it appears I can only order from overseas in Euros and pay for that shipping. Weak.
Characters Im taking from the Reaper line, Such as the Avatar of Aurellius for a Bloodthirster. The Deva Angel which I painted, will work awesome as something for Tzneetch.
Reaper also has some cool Faeries Im thinking of for for Furies.

Any ideas from other people would be awesome.

Necrons for 1000 and 1500 point friendly games

I'm going to be playing smallish games against a pretty large range of armies (Orcs, Tau, Nids, Marines, Chaos Marines and IG) so I'm looking for something that isn't tailored to a certain approach. A fun list based around the battle force box set and probably another box of warriors, I like the idea of an army mostly made up of its standard troops :) that isn't going to be something that will seem like an exploit or beardy army.

I was going to have a core of warriors in either two squads of 20 or two of 14 and one of 12, ten scarab bases, 3 destroyers and a lord. Then I'm kind of stuck, I have some old skeletons and claw bits I could make into flayed ones and was thinking that Immortals look awesome. I would like a monolith but not really at 1000 points and not sure if I can pick one up second hand or not.

Perhaps just more bodies for the units? I dunno. Basic idea is to drop 10 t5 3+ save 4 wound units with power weapons around the enemy, endure their fire and slaughter them in CC. Hope for 3+ on the DMA roll.

My assessment: It's a fluffy Daemon list. Rarr! In the Grim Dark future of the yada yada sometimes your lists get attacked by red Daemons. Should do great vs. enemy infantry lists that are wimpy, rotten vs. all vehicle lists and medium vs. good enemy infantry lists.

Player A (Player-A):

Chaos Space Marines
Sorcerer w/LoS, MoS, Wings
Daemon Prince w/LoS, MoS, Wings
7 Plague Marines w/Rhino, 2 plasma guns, Power Fist
7 Plague Marines w/Rhino, 2 plasma guns, Power Fist
7 Plague Marines w/Rhino, 2 plasma guns, Power Fist
X Chosen w/Mark of Khorne, 4 Power Fists
3 Obliterators
3 Obliterators
2 Obliterators

My assessment: Twin Lash Chaos with a hint of fun in the Chosen squad. I imagine everyone who glanced through that codex has theoryhammered basically this list at some point in time. I'll be interested to see if it fights as strong as it looks like it will fight. No real weaknesses, ought to be able to battle any list.

Player B (sirisaacnewton):

Eldar

Eldrad
Avatar
10 Dire Avengers w/Exarch w/shooty + Bladestorm
10 Dire Avengers w/Exarch w/shooty + Bladestorm
6 Harlequins w/shadowseer
6 Harlequins w/shadowseer
6 Harlequins w/shadowseer
1 Holo-Falcon w/all trimmings
1 Holo-Falcon w/all trimmings
1 Holo-Falcon w/all trimmings

Mech Eldar: As You Do.

Player D:

Not Grey Knights! After 4 years the Emperor's Scrubbing Bubbles won't be taking the field.

He's got Eldar! I don't recall precisely what's in there, but there's a Falcon with no holo-field so he's continueing his quest for best painted awards. No, seriously, this army is really well painted. In my opinion it puts his grey knights to shame.

Stelek's House NOT ACTUALLY burned down

This may not be news, but I saw it in his blog, and noticed that he hadn't posted recently. Seems his furnace set the house on fire, it required firefighter intervention. Everyone evacuated ok, but not sure if he has an army left to his name. His comments may seem acerbic to some, but I know that even his critics would still like to meet him over the table to settle things one on one! So, I thought I'd wish him well and hope to hear from him soon.

Mike Guth

Anyone Interested in making some nice female jungle fighters a reality?

Ever since we did the female guard I've had people asking me if we could also do some female jungle fighters, and it is something I'd really like to see happen.

Individually as hobbiests we do not have the resources to hire a professional-level sculptor, but if a group of us pool our resources together we could easily make it happen and make some for ourselves.

So, I'm asking to see if there is anyone out there who is as interested as me in making this happen. Our inspiration for this is going to be Vasquez from the Aliens movie. Tough as nails, but still shapely, definitely NOT a steroid pill-popping body-builder, wearing a tank-top/sports bra and heavy military pants and boots like her male counterparts.

The best part is, the more people we have, the more we can do. If enough people join in, we can do several different poses of legs and arms and alternate heads, maybe even a neat jungle accessory sprue or something like that.

Anyway, if you are interested in this by-hobbiests-for-hobbiests idea send me a PM and I'll give you the details.

PP and GW compatible?

1500 pt Tallarn Raiders (Imperial Guard)

I'm a totally new player and the Tallarn raiders have sparked my imagination. I originally envisioned them as a kind of high mobility, quick strike army with excellent artillery support. The model was the army rangers, until I realized elite guardsmen sucked and mortars sucked. Anyway, after so much advice, the list is beginning to feel a bit scattered. My main questions:

1. Basilisks. I haven't seen a list with more than one of these. I like them a lot, but how unbalanced is this? What is the likely outcome?
2. Vox Casters and Heroic Senior Officer. These were planned together. Do I need these? I based it on the high mobility.
3. Bloat.
1850 Eldar Warhost Tournament List II

Can you analyze and evaluate this army for its viability. Is it a potent army?
How well will it do against an Ork horde army. Is this a take on all comers army list?

This is a fast and manueverable army meant to be a take on all comers. It is a fragile list meant to be selected in its attacks by taking on fractions of the enemy's army peicemeal at a time. This army is built with the 5th edition in mind according to the LOS rules.

This army belongs to a secretive Craftworld without a confirmed name until this day. It is believed to be Craftworld Talseth who were once allied and trained with Craftworld Sam-Hann. The truth is that these craftworld Eldar have begun to resettle the Maiden Worlds the Eldar claim as their own in the western sector of the galaxy near Tau Space. These Eldar forces fight in the fashion of Sam-Hann, but they lack Shining Spears aspect warriors. Maybe they will found some at 2,000 points. They recruited the aid of the Harlequins who endeavor to rid the Maiden worlds of any influence of Chaos. To this end, this unknown Craftworld has laid waste to many Imperial and Ork worlds in the name of reclaiming their former Empire and Glory. They are different than most Craftworld in that they take prisoners as if they are Dark Eldar. They use the chosen prisoners as either hostages or conscript garrison forces on worlds they have claimed. So, far three Imperial Worlds have not been heard of since the reports of this brand of Eldar has taken to conquest. They destroy all structures on a planet that are not their own which is a type of calling card for these war craving Eldar.

HQ
1.Yriel
2.Farseer: Doom, Singing Spear, Runes of Warding (Rolls with the footslogging Harlequins)

Elite
3.Fire Dragons (6): Exarch, heavy flamer, crackshot
4.Fire Dragons (5)
5.Harlequins (10): Shadowseer, 9 Kisses, Death Jester

Troops
6.Jetbike unit (4): shuriken cannon, warlock, destructer, jetbike, singing spear
7.Jetbike unit (4): shuriken cannon, warlock, destructer, jetbike, singing spear
8.Jetbike unit (4): shuriken cannon, warlock, destructer, jetbike

Fast Attack
9.Warp Spiders (8): Exarch, spinneret rifle, withdraw, powerblades

Heavy Support
10.Fire Prism: Holofields, Spirit Stones
11.Falcon: Holofields, Spirit Stones, Vectored Engines, Shuriken Cannon
12.Falcon: Holofields, Spirit Stones, Vectored Engines, Shuriken Cannon

Yriel will hide in either Falcon and play the suprise assault roll. I just love to second assault round large blast template close combat weapon. He can also foot slog with the Harlies if the mood is right.
Fire Dragons- Hit hard targets, terminators, biker nobs, tanks, and cheesey armies
Bikes- harass, and crowd control, they act like a spring board for the Harlies to enter into combat easier. This tactic has not failed me yet. I have won multiple tournament sacrificing this unit. I charge with the bikes in a manner that I either tie or win combat. Manuever my Harlies to engage next my turn. Hold up the unit until their next round, then hit them with the Harlies.
Falcons- VP denial, harass, anti tank

1500 pt Dwarves, First Attempt

Here's my Dwarf list. Please rip it apart. ATM I will be mainly facing Cavalry Heavy HE, Shooting Heavy Empire, and HoC (most likely a Khorne list). These will not, however, be my only opponents, just the ones that I will face on a regular basis. Here's the list.

Heroes

Thane
-Runic Weapon (Rune of Cleaving, 2x Rune of Fury)
-Runic Armor (Rune of Stone)
-Shield

Runesmith
-Runic Armor (Rune of Stone)
-Runic Talisman (Master Rune of Balance)

Core

Warriors x20
-Full Command
-Shields

Warriors x20
-Full Command
-Shields

Thunderers x10
-Shields

Thunderers x10
-Shields

Special

Ironbreakers x20
-Full Command
-Runic Banner (Rune of Stoicism)

Miners x8

Bolt Thrower
-Engineer

Bolt Thrower
-Engineer

Points: 1500
Models: 100

I was wondering if it was overkill to have HW+Shield on both my warrior squads or if GW were the way to go on 1 or both of them.

Thanks in advance for the feedback.

1500pt all jump pack Blood Angels

I've been playing Blood Angels off and on since 2nd ed. when I was but a clueless eleven-year-old and thought they were the sole good guys (and that Ultramarines were just a special kind of Blood Angel hoho) and now have about 2500 points of badly painted, badly configured BA’s sitting in storage at my parents’ house.

At the moment I’m putting together an Imperial Guard army, but following the WD BA list and the various 5th ed. rumours that have been floating around I thought I’d try to throw together a relatively competitive list to put together once I’ve finished the IG.

I’ve put this list up in a thread on BA jumpers in the tactics section, but in an effort not to de-rail that thread I thought I’d ask for comments and criticism here.

HQ
Chaplain - Jump Pack - 120

ELITES
7 X Death Company – Jump Packs – 65

5 X Veteran Assault Marines – Power Fist, 2 X Meltaguns - 195

5 X Veteran Assault Marines – Power Fist, 2 X Meltaguns - 195

TROOPS
5 X Assault Marines – Power Fist - 165

5 X Assault Marines – Power Fist - 165

5 X Assault Marines – Power Fist - 165

5 X Assault Marines – Power Fist - 165

HEAVY SUPPORT
Baal Predator – Heavy Bolter Sponsons – 125

Baal Predator – Heavy Bolter Sponsons – 125

TOTAL – 1485

Obviously I’m banking on Jump Infantry being scoring units in 5th, but I’d like replies to take into account the rest of the 5th ed. rumours we’ve heard so far.

The left-over 15 points I have would probably go into meltabombs unless anyone has a better suggestion.
