Is it just like expanded polystyrene or is it more dense than that? It's no worse than wood really.  The biggest problem I have is that it's terrible about static cling, so you'll have to brush yourself off after you're done x.x.  ]]></description>

And it would work for its intended purpose for sure.  I personally haven't done it and haven't even thought to honestly.  Then again, my table gets very light traffic (see: Only me and my models), so it's not as big a concern as say a gaming store table.]]></description>
