				<description><![CDATA[ Below is my planned 2k tyranid list (the most popular size game locally).  However I need to get this cut down and adjusted for 1750.  CnC on the 2k list and suggestions to get to 1750 are welcome. 				<description><![CDATA[ This list looks pretty good. At first I was like what the hell: elite carnifexes with barbed stranglers. They won't hit a thing. Yes, then I remembered the 5th edition...<br /> <br /> I think this army will do fairly well against any opponent thanks to those genestealers and good fire support. I would though drop feeder tendrils from the troop genestealers even if they cost only one point. I prefer them cheap and in greater numbers.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I am guessing this is a local tourney right? and you might know the players?  Do you think you will run into a high percentage of Mech?  If so, see below:<br /> <br /> While I don't think you will have a problem running <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(95);'>Meq</span> down later in the game thanks to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(463);'>fof</span> and scuttling stealers (though fast skimmers will still be annoying) , a 3rd gun fex on the first and second turn might help silence some armoured toting guns or pie plates left that would otherwise be targeting your out in the open stealers.  <br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(72);'>IMO</span>, exchanging a Strangler fex for a gunfex might really help as you don't have alot of ranged mech silencers.  I doubt you will miss the extra <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(58);'>HtH</span> attack.  The 3rd gunfex can still smack infantry but also gives more ability to stun tank or immobolize transports (and there is nothing better than an immobolized <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(261);'>LRC</span> <img src="/s/i/a/baf5f2e54c6b17d5c5d39aecadfa1272.gif" border="0"> ).  <br /> <br /> Maybe give up the extra wounds on the gunfexes to make up the differnece in points.  I say this because you are really running stealer shock and that is what your opponent SHOULD be worried about.  This should mean less shots at your carnifex.  If your opponent does shoot at the carnis you can do the happy dance after he gets smarmed by the stealers he should have shot at.  <br /> <br /> I also like gunfexes for Drop Pods.  You shoot the Carni at the Drop Pod.  Vennom Cannons hit the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span> and the barb strangler gets positioned to hit the disembarked troops as well as the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span>  <img src="/s/i/a/5d13fa41280d6fdef786d41bc175d3f6.gif" border="0">.  Bonus if <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DP</span> explodes, then you get a few more dead marines.  I am not sure though if the wounds from the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> occur simultaneously with the wounds from the exploding vehicle <img src="/s/i/a/8f7b3f87df347f2cf6c1e7d5e119a067.gif" border="0">.  <br /> <br /> Just a question? Are your guard armed with scythes or lash whips?  In general, I would rather take away a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(105);'>PF</span> or <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(80);'>LC</span> attack than get a potantial rend.  <br /> <br /> Magnitize the extra carnifex if you haven'y assembled it already.  <br /> <br /> Regardless let me know how you do in the tournement  <img src="/s/i/a/5d13fa41280d6fdef786d41bc175d3f6.gif" border="0">]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Oh and to get down to 1750...man I hate subtracting <img src="/s/i/a/39ea8e0dbfb45dcc6b802cd0e198dba3.gif" border="0"> .  <br /> 1) Knock out the second strangle fex and possibly take out the 7 man stealer squad...then again YMYW.  <br /> 2) Second option might be to take out the second strangle fex and the broodlord; spend remaining points on more genestealers.  The brood lord is nasty but without <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(463);'>fof</span> it has less mobility than normal scuttle bugs.<br /> <br /> (Guess I am not a big fan of the strangle fex).  <br /> <br /> Oh and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(32);'>EC</span> on genestealers is gold!  <br /> <br /> Also per the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(36);'>FAQ</span>, toxic miasma effect is limmited to when the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(154);'>HT</span> is alone or the only model engaged (it won't help your guard and can even be nulled if the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(154);'>HT</span> is in a unit and both <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(154);'>HT</span> and guards are engaged)...maybe you might want to get the +1WS biomorph instead.  ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ All good advice guys, thanks.  <br /> <br /> The 2k list is pretty much local only, 1750 would be for an indy <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(48);'>GT</span> next year and possibly 1750 local events if they occur.  Mostly just want to get an idea of what to paint and build.  I suspect the indy <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(48);'>GT</span> will have the usual suspects (hence the stranglers for anti-ork work) but locally most people run <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(97);'>misc</span> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(95);'>Meq</span> lists and tyranids (heavy stealer, pure cnc lists so a bit different then this one).<br /> <br /> <blockquote class="uncited"><div>While I don't think you will have a problem running <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(95);'>Meq</span> down later in the game thanks to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(463);'>fof</span> and scuttling stealers (though fast skimmers will still be annoying) , a 3rd gun fex on the first and second turn might help silence some armoured toting guns or pie plates left that would otherwise be targeting your out in the open stealers. </div></blockquote><br /> I've got the two gunfexes modeled up, I dunno if I wanna make a 3rd right now.  I'll be getting the 3 carni boxset -- two of which will be made into the elite guys above (magentized this time, but won't be able to be made into gunfexes without a bits purchase).  I may go for creating a single set of gunfex arms for future use but just not motivated to do it at the moment. I was thinking about that and I am of two minds here.  If the tyrant was of the choppy variety, then some lashwhips makes sense.  With the non choppy, the quicker I am out of combat the better. I have a P&M blog that will be resurected, so I will prolly mention tournament results there or in a batrep.<br /> <br /> As much as it pains me I think I will be dropping the broodlord, snazzy conversion or no.  Then I'll get the remaining points by losing a non-scuttle stealer, miasma and something else as needed (not sure from memory if that is enough).  I am loathe to weaken my non-scuttling force any and don't wanna lose scoring ability either.]]></description>
