I also finished this wraithlord for a commission. I had to go by a pic of one of his other wraithlords for the color scheme. That's why it doesn't look quite "conventional eldary". I think it looks pretty good, though. It's the old metal wraithlord so there was quite a bit of conversion work, cutting of thumbs and cussing involved.

I like the paintjobs, though. That fade on the Avatar's antlers looks really nice. Very sombre tones. The grey and purple on the WL is a nice combo. I feel your pain on converting the old metal WL, too. I did some extensive foot, leg, and arm repositioning, myself.

Not a fan of the WL basing though. You have brown rocks, and grey rocks. The brown ones stop and the grey ones start, just like that. Like they were placed there in a neat, garden-like manner. Also, they are all the same color.

If you use the same color talus, you should toss a couple of different washes in different places and some differing drybrushing.

I made the model, offered it up in the swap shop and he asked me to paint it for him. The original wraithlord is way too boring. This is the pose that I decided on that looks the best without looking like it will shatter if you breath on it funny. He's still taller and bulkier than an avatar so I don't think it's weedy at all.

I'm not a big fan of doing all talus bases at all. It's almost impossible to make them look good no matter what you do. Usually I just put some flock on top in spots to make it look mossy. This is what he wanted, though, so it's what I gave him.
