QFT. Not to sugarcoat it in the typical "looks cool" forum comments, but it just doesn't look like you put much effort into it. A few bitz, an antenna mast, and just a little plasticard to shape the viewports might have made this work better. How do you plan to remove/move your models during a game without moving the entire terrain piece? Its a great start, but giving a household item a paintjob, makes it look like a household item with a paint job. I was planning on adding stuff, but I don't have much stuff to add at the moment. Being almost new to the 40K world, I don't have a collection of bitz to call my own yet, so that will come in time. I also don't have any of those cool modeling toys or materials, so fast food trays, cheap paint and a pair of scissors are the best I can do or now. I was rather hoping for some ideas of what could be added. My eventual plan was to put it on some sort of plaster embankment and rough it up with some muddy terrain, rocky crags, and maybe some dead foliage. I was also thinking about cutting out one wall once I make a base and put stairs leading downward.

The bunker would be lifted whenever guys are put in, but you [i]could[/i] just write down who's in there on a piece of paper if it's convenient. I figure once he guys go in, they only need to be moved if they die.

I felt that the roofs were rather plain and didn't hold the wash as well. Make sure that all of the bunkers have tunnels to them. This means you'll have to build the cup holder up. I'd then make sure I had an opening for the models to get into the holder. The only cutting you'd have to do is for the opening. If you keep the top flat you could then just put your models on top of it. Remember that only 2 can shoot out of each window and that you have to keep them within 2 inches of each other. The round grey thing with the black dot in it is the flag for your army. It would be near the door to your bunker. It's optional but I put in some extras. I'd also glue the holder to a piece of press board. The really thin stuff that is sturdy. I'd flock most ground out side of the walls with grass but not the entrance because it be walked on a lot. You could really make this look good. You could even use tectured spackle to make it look even better.

Okay, so I borrowed a craft knife I found in our model planes kit and used it to clean up the viewports. What is this "plasticard" that was mentioned earlier?

Tanks for the diagram. I'll see what I can do. If this doesn't work, I still have another cupholder to paint. I thought about spending some extra time on that one to give it an adobe look for the Orks in my AoBR set. Eh, I'll see how this works out first.

I'm also not sure on what to do for the platform in the center. It definitely is begging for something like a comtower or the like in the middle, and I juuust might have an extra radar dish in my giant box of green plastic men downstairs. For a simple cheap and easy bunker you win first prize. And I mean that as no insult. I am pretty new to the 40k universe and I have have to scrounge parts for builds from every nook and cranny of my house. I was even accused of used my wifes hair curlers at one time. Just dig around and you will find things to use. I have dismantled old models, paint pots, bottle caps, old cheap necklace(for chains), old toys, and blah blah blah. With your imagination (a cup holder ) the options are endless.

The plasticard is basically the stuff credit cards and such are made of. You can buy it on the web but it is a bit pricey. I have found that if you got to your local mega lumber store you can find "FOR SALE" signs made of plasticard and WAY cheaper then ordering it online. Also at the one I go to there are 2 different thicknesses of the signs. some scissors or exacto knife and some super glue and "BAM" you got some stuff to add to your "cup holder".
