One Army Bag to Rule them All...

Ok, so many of you may know that I do not post that much, and I wanted to share my experience in getting the Battlefoam FOW bag.

Now many of you may know Romeo is a sponsor of the show, so before you scream bias!, there it is, yet this post is truly how I felt upon getting it.

OK, I did NOT want to buy yet another bag even though I love the Battlefoam product. I already have literally 4 army bags. I am using the Battlefoam foam, but did not have the extra cash to buy a bag even though I did want one. I was trying to be a good gamer and not just buy yet another thing for which I already have 4!

Well, my FOW projects began overflowing, so I ordered some Battlefoam to fit in my sable case. With shipping the cost was 1/2 a FOW Battlefoam bag. Romeo called me and urged me to save my money and get the FOW bag. I mean I know, it was a better value but again I was trying to not be waseful. Well his advice was sound.

I bought the bag, and the first thing I noticed was the zipper. OMG, it opened like butter. Ok, I am that type of fussy guy that likes what I like and when I buy something expensive I want it to be nice you know? These zippers, seriously I am talking about the zipper, if that is not your thing, just skip over this post. It opened like a dream. No catching on the corners, no fighting it over the bulge of foam. The lid opens on the top then folds down, agian really nice.

This size of the bag is perfect. I did not want a really big one. And this one is not, The shoulder strap clips again were a nice light metal that swivel so agian a nice feature so the strap won't twist. I could see little details on the bag and understood beyond the awesomeness of the foam why the bag is 99.00 USD. Also, a nice feature is nice tight level stiching saying FOW and what I thought was really cool is two velcro areas to put pins or patches.

So let me put it this way, beyond just the room in the case, and the foam, and the hard sides, which we all know about, I was very very happy with my purchase and if you are on the edge of buying a bag like I was and apprecaite the finer things in life. I think you will be happy with your purchase.

Hollywood.

Which size bag did you get? I'm toying with the idea of getting one for my painting stuff, but the shipping to the UK is still quite prohibitive. I know that Wayland Games are going to be a UK stockist, but personally, I'd really like to get my hands on one before ordering it because they really are quite expensive things. Lovely, I'm sure, but expensive enough to want to see them in the flesh first....

I bought a Pack 216 Hobby Bag on the Black Friday sale and it arrived last week (I also got some custom trays that held up the order).

I had resisted for a while getting one since I thought it was a bit too pricey. However now that I have one, I am really impressed with the quality. The foam trays I got also fit in this bag, which is great. I wish it had a shoulder strap, but that is my only (minor) complaint. I am very pleased with the case and I am considering getting other stuff in the future (especially once I see what the Warmachine bag looks like).
