				<description><![CDATA[ Your noble on great stag isn't allowed to take helm of the hunt (as a wilder rider kindred, he can replace his spear and light armor with magical versions, but cannot add any wargear. The helm is in addition to his light armor, and does not replace it, so he can't take it :-/ )<br /> <br /> I think you have a few too many characters! I'd drop one of your casters and add another unit in.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Dryad units really don't need to be larger then 8 strong. And for 2000 points you have blown WAY too many points on characters. What kind of approach are you going for, I'm a little confused on what battle plan would be. I'm still rather new to fantasy myself but the points that I mentioned I read quite frequently on various boards. In addition asrai.org is a great site dedicated to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(411);'>WE</span>, I have learned a lot about how to play <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(411);'>WE</span> from that site, in addition to here at dakka. <br /> <br /> <br /> [size=9]Automatically Appended Next Post:[/size]<br /> Oh and stupid me for forgetting. Glade Riders would do you good for march blocking and baiting. I mean yeah your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(378);'>WR</span> are fast cavalry, and better in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span>, but they are <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(322);'>ItP</span> so can't flee as a reaction, which you want to be able to do with a few units. <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0">]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ hey there <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0">, whats the reason for only having  just  8 strong ? seems quite expensive  on characters but  <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(269);'>id</span> play the list see how it goes plus characters are cheaper  in money and im ona  modest budget but do u think  a spell singer dropped would be better? the rough battle plan would be advance with the central eternal guard with the spell weaver  in centre, both dryads flanking so they can flank charge anything that charges the eternal guard who have a combat resolution of 5-6 without kills, then the wild riders go ona flank to try and get flank charges, the 2 units of glade guard can jus harrass any light u8nits and the way watchers act as  march blockers, war machine  killers and  if  i can co ordinate things rear charge. will  give the website a  go cheers! <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0"> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I believe the reason for only 8 strong is that they are skirmishers and don't get a rank bonus, so why waste the points on filler models.  I am also confused with your plan.  Eternal guard become stubborn with a noble, but you don't have one.  The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(411);'>WE</span> strong suits are their shooting (glade guard long bows, +1 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span>. at short range, 30" range and they can move and shoot without penalty), movement, and they hit hard in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>cc</span> (wild riders, wardancers, dryads).  Oh yeah, you can make a forest spirit army too, but I am a bigger fan of the elves than the trees.  I have never heard of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(411);'>WE</span> being overly strong in magic and once again I am a bigger fan of combat than magic.  I usually only take a scroll caddy.  The <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(411);'>WE</span> core troops are great and all of them come in plastic.  You might even be able to convert glade riders into wild riders.  I would check out that site for more info too. 				<description><![CDATA[ ah right fair enough was only thinkign 9  because they can sustain more casulties , i jsut read the bit about stubborn! , in that case the stag lord coudl swap him out and with the spare points bulk up the wild riders ? wood elevs arnt entirly a rly strong magic army but the lore of beasts is very useful and magical charges are very useful in out manourverin your opponent thats my  thoguth at least! my idea to make the army cheap is lots of convertion which i love <img src="/s/i/a/39ea8e0dbfb45dcc6b802cd0e198dba3.gif" border="0"> army should only cost me 160 ish for 2k the way watchers are converted from glade guard and the wild riders from glade riders and dryad bits ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ The conversions sound like a good idea! If you want to go with as magic heavy as you can, I'd still do something about that mage with just the two dispell scrolls. If you can fit those dispell scrolls on your other mages, you don't have any need for him!<br /> <br /> I'm not experienced with wood elves (just had my first game two days ago, actually!). However, I'm trying out running my dryads at 10. I think it gives them a better chance of taking casualties and still hitting hard, not to mention the benefit of possibly winning a combat and then outnumbering the enemy (and since they cause fear, any unit not immune to it will auto-fail their break test). I don't think this is a make-or-break thing.<br /> <br /> The amount of points sunk into characters is, I think. If you change the noble on stag to one on foot to go with the eternal guard, you'll save some points.<br /> <br /> Another idea is to give that noble the moonstone of the hidden way. I'm a fan of this item in theory (not sure about in practice, though!). You could have this block enter a wood and reappear in another somewhere on the battlefield... it would let this one "sluggish" unit of yours possibly be able to keep up with your other units, and keep you from being stuck with a static, predictable center. All of a sudden your enemy's flank, where you have a few harrassing units, becomes your center when you teleport there <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0">. It's also not an overly used piece of equipment from what I can tell, so it might make your army unique! Although, I am planning to try it out, too...<br /> <br /> How about trying to fit in another unit of wildriders (since you're converting them, anyway!) with the points spared from the noble's stag and possibly from dropping the scroll caddy (and giving his scrolls to the other mages)?<br /> <br /> Cheers,<br /> Steve / RiTides]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I like that you are trying different units.  I did too to learn what they could do.  Remember, though, that they don't really mean anything in isolation.  <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(411);'>WE</span> have to work together to get anything done.<br /> <br /> A good character I don't leave home without:  the "standard alter"<br /> <br /> Alter noble, helm of the hunt, hail of doom arrow, great weapon, shield.  158 points (can't remember if he has light armor or not)<br /> <br /> You could get rid of the non-scroll caddy caster and put this guy in instead.  He's a lot of fun.  You get super fast movement, can use HoDA to decimate a unit, then charge in.  He's decent in combat especially on the charge.  By then usually some flankers can help out. I think you'll find what you like on the characters more once you try them out; as long as you know approximately what you're going for you can always mix up the war gear on them (since magic items don't have to be modelled).<br /> <br /> The other units look really cool and I like the two units of way watchers, and two units of wild riders. 				<description><![CDATA[ Oops. <img src="/s/i/a/504660322487159bb25fddaa475847a6.gif" border="0">  I thought bears anger could only be cast on the wizard himself.  That would be a nice combo on the alter kindred noble with helm of the hunt and whatever, most take the hail of doom arrow, on him.  Even without the spell, he would be hitting with 5 S6 attacks on the charge and with a 9 initiative would most likely still be attacking first next phase anyway.  Add three attacks with the spell and he could have the potential to take out a big nasty in one turn.  Nice.  <img src="/s/i/a/5d13fa41280d6fdef786d41bc175d3f6.gif" border="0">  <br /> <br /> I have to agree about the whole tree thing.  I keep on thinking; "it says 'Wood Elves', not 'Treemen' on the army book".  <img src="/s/i/a/934fe4f0c85983a716e6680a72065e99.gif" border="0">  Don't get me wrong, all the forest spirits are pretty nasty, however I just like the elves better.  <br /> <br /> As for your list, I like it.  I might change the fimbul shard for befuddlement of mischiefs, and change the pageant of shrikes for calaingor's staff.  I would think about shaving some points, maybe dropping the branch nymphs to bumb that noble up to a alter kindred noble.  The problem with that, is you would lose stubborn on your eternal guard.  For me, that wouldn't be a problem because I would use 2x5 glade riders instead of the eternal guard.  Which kind of sucks, cause I really like those models, but I go for more speed in my armies.
