Background and Description

Celesitians are the Elite of the Order

Veterans of many campaigns, the Celestians are an elite core of an Order's best fighters.

Special Rules and Wargear

• Boltguns.
• A Sister Superior may take a Bolt Pistol and Close Combat Weapon.
• Adepta Sororitas.
• Faithful.
• Holy Hate: this unit always hits regular troops on a 3+ in close combat.

Upgrades

• Transport: they may take an Immolator or a Rhino.
• One Celestian may take a Heavy Bolter, Heavy Flamer or Multi-Melta.
• One Celestian, or two if no heavy weapon is selected, may take a Storm Bolter, Flamer or Meltagun.
• One Celestian may be upgraded to an Imagifier.
• The Sister Superior may be upgraded to a Veteran Sister Superior.
• The unit may take Frag and/or Krak Grenades.

Strengths

1. With high Weapon Skill and Holy Hate, they are better than regular Sisters in close combat.
2. They have access to a wider array of heavy weapons than regular Sisters.
3. They are Faithful without an upgrade, unlike regular Sisters.

Weaknesses

1. With low Strength, Toughness and few attacks, they are still largely useless in close combat.
2. They are more expensive than other Sisters units, but lack the equipment/special rules to justify the increased points.
