Format: Three round 1500pt Warhammer 40k tournament, Rogue Trader-style, with points awarded for battle, painting, sportsmanship, and theme/composition.
I've been attending tournaments at Danger Planet since 2005, and had a great time on each occasion. It's a great store with excellent terrain, and Brian the owner always works hard to run a fun and well-organized event. You can get more info about the store on their website:

This time I attended with several team mates from the Cold Steel Mercenaries wargaming tournament team, actually comprising almost all of the American members. Alex Fennell (of Mongoose Games fame), who came over from England and recruited the rest of us, Ragnar Arneson (your truly), Jamie Hatcher, David Strimple, and Matthew Cassidy. Alex, Jamie, Matthew and myself were the Cold Steel Mercs team at Adepticon 08.
