The release of the New Dakka has prompted the return of the Dakka Painting Challenge! For those of you who weren't around when it was originally started, this is your chance to show the rest of Dakka what you're made of!
The Rules
- Abide by the spirit and guidelines of the Challenge presented.
- Take a WIP shot of your model before painting.
- Paint your model!
- Take another shot of the completed model and send it in to DakkaPaintingChallenge@dakkadakka.com with your Dakka Handle as the photo's filename. Also be sure to include your dakka handle in the email, just in case. Oh and be sure it's in before Midnight Central (GMT-6:00) the night of the Deadline!!
- The day after the deadline, all the entries will be presented for all of Dakka to see! Along with this will be a poll for the community at large to pick their favorite from the bunch.

With Halloween looming, the challenge was to create the absolute creepiest model you could think of! All those ghosts, ghouls, zombies, demons, vampires or just generally creepy looking models in your collection need lovin too! So break out the pallid flesh paints and test out those blood effects! Pick a model and go jeepers creepers on em!

August 2008 - Old School
The Challenge was to find an old model from your collection, or just go out and get an old model that's been gathering up dust on the shelves of your FLGS, and do it justice and finally give it the paint job it deserved all those years ago when it was released!

March 2008 - Oi! Whose Da Best!?
This challenge theme was all 'bout those big baddies that we love so much. Contestants picked their favorite Ork, Orc, Troll, Ogre, Ogryn, Barbarian or other big, mean and nasty model, and gave 'im some paint!

December 2007 - God Bless the Infantry
We started off the re-launch of the Dakka Painting Challenge with an Infantry model challenge. Our armies would be nothing without the blasted infantry so we paid homage to the fine models that make up the core of our hobby!
