Should Land Raiders be able to take Primaris Marines? After all they can take larger Terminators and Custodes.....

Shouldn't Repulsors be able to take the smaller Power Armour marines and scouts??


I KNOW from a marketing view it's to ensure that players fielding Primaris have to buy the Repulsor.....but surely tt's totally illogical?

I so which I could model as that's screams for a diarama of a scout on another scouts shoulders with a camo cloak trying to oretent to be one of the new primaris models to ride a repulsor.

As I understand it, the regular marines wouldn't be tall enough to be held securely by the harnesses in the Repulsor. That is to say, the regular marines need child seats.

The fact that the regular guys can't ride the Repulsor isn't particularly concerning; since I don't generally feel a need to put regular guys in a Repulsor, but I do kind of which Primaris could fit in Razorbacks or something not hideously expensive.

The Repulsor for me isn't so much the annoying thing cause you can argue it's configured only for Primaris armour.

But the Land Raider.........seriously.

It can take 5 Terminators in their massive armour, but oh no the Primaris armour is just like TOOOO different for it.

See you wouldn't have this problem with Daemonengines, way more reliable, all let in equally and eaten also equally.

The Repulsor is a good unit. It has great firepower and can fly.
It's better than a Landraider.

I can't think of any unit I'd rather transport than Hellblasters or Intercessor, so I don't care about normal marines using it.

As I understood it the issue was that regular marines and Primaris use different charger cables.

The Land Raider bothers me less than the Storm Raven. If anything ought to be dual purpose it's the big flying transport; a Dreadnaught and 12 Marines / 6 Termies / 4 Centurions - OR - 12 primaris / 6 Aggressors.

I've always thought the idea that Primaris didn't fit in the bigger tanks was dumb. And I think it will get fixed eventually.

I don't think its in GW's plan that as they march forward the Land Raider chassis stop. Like Minimarines are going to just stop.

Probably only partialy true, the chaos land raider would be used to the 10k old taste of good old legion space marines. Suddenly being given a chaos primaris, would be a bit like my moms husband reaction to korean fusion cooking after 40 years of living on a polish meat diet. The new marines would just not taste the same.
Maybe tzeench demons would like it, they are in to the whole change thing. But in general we like the same old stories, same old food and same old things.
New things=bad.

Normal Marines have too refined a sense of style to wish to ride in a shoe which was covered in glue and rolled in a bits box.

There's a reason it is called the Repulsive, after all.

Unfortunately for the Primaris, they are too tall to fit through the various hatches on the Land Raider without comedy A New Hope Stormtrooper incidents, and after the first half ozen times it happened, Roboute declared they shall not ride in proper vehicles, for enemies were sniggering at them too much...

Does GW sell more kits when any model can embark on any transport or when certain models are restricted?

Is this *any* different than Centurions not being able to hop onto Rhinos, but are ok in 10 man Land Raiders?

Considering also that it eats plague marines i think it ain't that picky

But seriously, i can't understand their point, beyond selling it artifically by forcing all people that want a transport for primaris to buy it.
Then again it is waaaaay more expensive then a rhino.

That said, they always can later double dip

Kinda, Basically they force people that want a transport for Primaris to buy the new more expensive repulsor, instead of using the Rhinos which anyone will have. Later they allow cross transportation to further their sales.
Atleast that ^'s how i would do it. To basically double dip in scarcity.

That doesn't increase sales. Either those people have only Primaris to transport or they have mini-marines already and no new purchase is made.

The key is to deny the use of old rhinos.
That is why it was done.


Their idea is that Veterans only will buy the most necessary things and fill gaps with their collection, in order to prevent that, they deny the use of Rhinos for primaris.

I have family in Malmo, they eat fermented shark meat. IMO being used to the taste is more important then what you eat. I mean one of our reginal dishs, which I love, could be described as a hagis in soup form.

But jokes aside I wouldn't be suprised if in 2-3 years, there were primaris not-rhinos, primaris not-bikers, primaris not-assault sm. the more they show primaris models, the more it looks like as if 8th was suppose to be a full game reset same way Fantasy was reset. They didn't like the reaction AoS got when it came out. And are too scared to risk w40k, which unlike WFB does nice make money for them. And if my friend is right, which I hope he is not, GW is just making old the baby marines bad to make their players hate their armies so much, that when real primaris codex hits the stores people will drop their old SW/DA etc like a rotten potato.

Primaris in Rhinos is a considerable balance issue. That's the common refrain - "I don't have anything worth transporting". I'm sure aggressors would love to pay minimum points to get transported.

Mind you i never stated anything about balance of Primaris in Rhinos.
I just said that it probably is there to incentivice the purchase of the Flying shoebox.
