Hmm. I think the MACHINE gun should be left where it is. I mean, it would be big and ungainly to use, and probably wouldn't have much use in close proximity. By the by, people most of you crazy people have been awake for a long time. Where's the sleepiness?!
OOC: To cover a few things concerning the Mansion, without trying to "dictate" it's build.
The Mansion is one of several owned by Mr.Phoenix, since it's usage is one of "hiding out/safety",it's well stocked in provisions ( walk in meat lockers/dry goods pantries),medical supplies,is well fortified (bullet proof windows, steel doors) and has an armoury (although nothing like shadows fortress).
And of course there is a large attached garage, which at this point contains mostly Harlies that the Satan's Servants rode there on,the van their girl friends/wives arrived in and Mr.Phoenix's Limo.
Now of course everyone should RP the contents and other various rooms in the mansion as they like,Mr.Phoenix is obviously a paranoid uber rich genius...so let's all have fun with that.
One Eye spoke to Halon and Tombstone " well there's no real need to bring your big guns in." he laughed " we got plenty here if ya want one." he gestured to Puppy to show Halon the armory.
" But ya'll might want to get your truck into the garage" he continued " Just to be on the safe side."
Mr.Phoenix smiled,a smile much like a snakes " Wonderful idea..and then perhaps we can all sit down and continue our discussion over a nice hot meal..allow everyone a moment to relax in the relative calm we are enjoying, yes?"
Tombstone grunted non committaly, keeping his eye on Bam Bam who was helping Big Boy to his feet,Tombstone hoped one of them,or both, would go for their guns,he disliked all of this diplomacy gak.
" We'll get some steaks going" One Eye said, knowing already Tombstone would be ready for blood " and some corn too." the old biker glanced at Tombstone "why don't we go see how your friends are doing with Medicine Man?"
Tombstone looked at One Eye and nodded " Right behind ya." he said.
The two walked off,Phoenix's cold eyes following them.
I was clarifying that I wanted the MACHINE gun, not the GATLING. You can carry some MACHINE guns and still fire them, I was hoping that this was one of them.
Maybe we should take the 50. cal off the truck. Put the DMG on top instead? Nah, we'll use that when we get to the hippie convention "up in dem dere mountains".
Medicine Man looked down at Shadow.." He keeps repeating orks...I've never seen such behavior..clearly his head injuries were more severe than I first thought.".
The old biker reached for his pistol " best we just put the poor boy out of his misery."...

ghosty wrote:Now theres an idea. Use him as zombait whilst we high tail it to the Hippy commune?
I like this idea.
Now now,we can't start using our friends in such a fashion...whatever will the neighbors think...oh wait, the neighbors are all wandering around looking for a tasty snack..hmmm.
What about using him to fend of Zombies like a giant club then?
Or perhaps, oh, oh oh! Good idea time.
Right, so we tie shadow to a harely bike, and make him drive in the oppisite direction to our direction....somehow. Ok, the horde will split up into the groups, and we can take out ours piecemeal. And as for Shadow with his l33t skills with his grapple guns and rudimentary knowledge of the local fauna and flora, Im sure he'll regain consciousness and create a nuclear bomb.
Well I say we all get high off our asses with drug overdoses, and just mellow out.. what's coming is coming, and we'll just be chillin' out the ride.. or at least you all will be. Shadow will be dragging himself slowly away from the group to safety while you all get nommed.
Now, BIC:
Shadow rolled his head to his left, his mind barely registering what he saw: a woman on the couch opposite him and several men here and there. He tried to speak, but just ended up in coughing and spluttering. One of the men came over and started speaking to him. The man's features were elongated and unrecognisable - Shadow couldn't see the details of his face, only a pale-ish blur of skin and darker hair. The man continued speaking and Shadow was just cognitive enough to register a change in the pitch of his voice.
"Nope - nothing," the medicine man replied, turning to Hog.
"Damn, poor bastard's been through a lot by the looks of it," Hog said. The medicine man just nodded.
"I'm going to go and find one of his friends," the medicine man stated.
"How d'you know who his friends are?"
"Well, Tomb seemed pretty concerned about this young fellow's health, so I'll ask him for a start."
Hog merely grunted and lay back, closing his eyes to rest.
Tombstone and One Eye met The Medicine Man halfway up the long hallway.
" Well,it seems you two were headed to see me,just as I was looking for you" Medicine Man said to Tombstone.
" How are they?" Tombstone asked " How are Keira and Shadow?"
Medicine Man smiled and placed an aged hand on Tombstones shoulder " Young Keira will recover soon...the pills have done no real damage." the old biker went on " The one called Shadow...only time will tell,He is strong...but he has been hurt badly...I feel he will heal in time...but we must wait to see."
Tombstone nodded " I understand."
The Medicine Man gazed at Tombstone " What troubles you Fierce Tombstone...I feel more than your friends injuries are weighing on your heart."
One Eye answered " Stone has a feeling that Phoenix is planning something for us...something bad."
Tombstone nodded " I know he is."
Medicine Man spoke " Phoenix is as cold as his eyes,if you believe he means you harm than he surely does...I caution you though Fierce Tombstone...only the fool makes war in a burning house."
" So what is the answer" Tombstone asked.
" You have lived by your instincts for all your life" Medicine Man said " You will know what to do...when the time comes."
From behind them came a voice.
"Is there anything I can do to help?" said Daisy.
" Ahh, Tombstones beautiful friend" Medicine Man said with a smile " I welcome your company and your assistance."
With that the four returned to check on Shadow and Keira.
Halon was busy getting the truck into the garage. The van and bikes making it incredibly difficult to find a nice parking spot for it. He had already been threatened seven times not to mess up seven different bikes. It also didn't help that he was backing it in.
One of the bikers was helping him back it up,
"What was his name," Halon thought "puppy was it?"
So far so good had passed and the truck was in a nice spot to get out and go if need be.
"Now how about that armory?" Halon said to Puppy while rubbing his hands together greedily.
"Yeah sure, hey, you alright man?" Puppy said noting Halon beginning to twitch a bit.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. I'm just excited is all." Halon said while Puppy showed him to the armory.
The armory was beautiful, nice walls covered up with automatic, semi automatic, single fire, explosives, and everyhthing in between. No really heavy things though, plenty of assault rifles and submachine guns and grenades. Halon looked around and took a steyr aug from the wall and began to mimic aiming it.
"This is that thing from Call of Duty!" Halon said excitedly. "This was the only machine gun you could use as an assault rifle in that game, deadly accurate too."
"Okay then..." Puppy trailed off feeling that Halon was going to do something indecent with the gun.
Halon then put it up and pocketed a USP with a clip of ammo before heading back out to the main room. Paintings of Mr. Phoenix hanging up with paintings of other beloved family members.
"His mom is ugly as sin." Halon thought to himself while looking at the painting showing her.
Mr.Phoenix silently fumed as he considered the various options he was now presented with.
It was quite obvious to him that Tombstone was not going to be caught unaware, that opportunity had been bungled out on the road, and now the biker was on alert.
The other bikers, with the exceptions of Bam Bam and Big Boy would stand with Tombstone as well,no amount of money could sway them.
Then their was the others who had arrived with the biker, the one called Halon would obviously be a problem,as would the the attractive young girl who obviously saw her self as Tombstones girl...and that clown,Phoenix gritted his teeth...that stinking dirty clown..who had dared lay hands on him and his guards.
A huge grin split Phoenix's face,he had an idea...one that would assure he and his daughter could depart safely...and that the filthy biker and his friends would pay for their insults toward him.
Phoenix called for Bam Bam and Big Boy,they spoke quietly for several moments...occasionally the muttering was punctuated by Bam Bams guttural laugh.
Tombstone stood looking down at Shadow, his friend was cleaned up and his breathing even, but he still looked like he'd been run over by a tank...Tombstone paused.." In a way I guess he has" the biker thought.
" Do not fear for your friend Tombstone" Medicine Man said " He has a warriors heart...he will pull through."
Tombstone nodded, but the concerns of what Phoenix's next move might be...and the inevitable arrival of the walking dead weighed heavy on the biker.
" If we have to move him...can we?" Tombstone asked/
"If we must move him...then we must.." Medicine Man said " We will cross that bridge when we come to it."
Tombstone nodded and walked over to Daisy and One Eye,he spoke quickly " We have to plan..Phoenix has something up his sleeve..count on it...and god knows how long we have until a whole army of those fething things show up...if we ain't ready for anything ...if we don't have our gak together...we're not going to live to see tomorrow."
One Eye stared at Tombstone " Stone..what do you want to do man?" the older biker asked " what do you suggest."
" We get every fething vehicle we got ready to make a quick exit if we have to" Tombstone said
" Exit to where?" One Eye asked.
" The commune." Daisy interjected " Is that what your thinking Tomb?"
" For starters." Tombstone nodded " ...but after that..I don't know."
" Stone." One Eye said "we've held those things off here...are ya sure running is what we should do."
" Phoenix wasn't an issue before...he is now" Tombstone said " and..believe me...what's coming our way is like nothing that's hit this place before...we have to be ready to haul ass man."
" Ok Stone." One Eye said " I'll get some of the boys to ready some supplies for travel...we've got the van,the bikes and your truck...plus Phoenix's limo..."
"Feth Phoenix's Limo" Tombstone said.
" We'll" One Eye said " There is the gardeners truck out back as well."
" Get it ready as well" Tombstone said " Everything that will roll...get it all ready"
Tombstone turned to Medicine Man "Let's figure out a way to get Shadow mobile if we have to."
Medicine Man nodded his head at the younger biker.
Lurking in the darkness, it waited. Its massive form was surprisingly well concealed in the undergrowth and foliage of the forest - not that there was anyone around to look for him. Or rather it. Raising its horrific parody of a human head; its face distorted and barely recognisable as human, it sniffed the air. It caught the scent of the first force shambling towards their target from the right - this force was only a mere three hundred strong, being the tattered remains of the force that had tracked the prey from the city. They would taste the flesh of their soon-to-be victims soon; for they would be the reinforcements. It craned its head to the left, its sense of smell informing it that the main force - at least a thousand strong, was nearing, and it would only be scant minutes before they arrived: an hour at worst. But they were just to stop the prey escaping, for it knew that they would not try to go back the way they had come, even though a weaker force approached from that directed, and would try to escape to the left from their dwelling. That was why the largest force was there - to stop, or at least, slow down any escapees, should the prey even survive that long. There were precious few groups of prey left on this continent - not that it had much of an understanding of the divisions of land - and this group had evaded the inevitable far longer than they had any right to. Indeed, they were fearsome opponants. But it knew they would flee before the savage surprise of this assault.
Silently and stealthily, it advanced upon the rear of the mansion, belly on the floor - at the head of three dozen undead. They were not normal, however - these were some of the strongest - having survived the nuclear explosion and having their power - and intelligence - enhanced tenfold. The lead ghoul itself was the worst of all - with skin like bullet proof body armor and an exoskeleton like steel. Its grasping claws - capable of ripping through the side of a car, an ability it had discovered through experience, reached forward, one after another, slowly pulling it closer to their targets' dwelling.
Oh for.... 'yay' are we all just interesting in dooming us all? If you really want, I can RP the circus coming to rescue Bonzo! So he can leave you guys behind to suffer horrific zombiefied DEATH!
Just making us get a move on, as I felt there was little action going on. Sure, it was building up, but I just made the tipping point. Besides, just make someone get eaten early and have him scream or something.
Ah well, I guess it was boring for you, seeing as you had nothing to do. Still, I guess this way we wont have to bother with the whole Pheonix tension thing, as everyone else will have things on their mind.
Halon has an infinite amount of luck. He magically teleported from the battlebus and replaced himself with Bonzo, he fell out of a second story window unscathed, survived a nuclear explosion, escaped being ripped apart in an ambulance, etc. I think this thing is no issue.
OOC: I'd hoped to be able to build up the whole Phoenix "situation" and then spread a nice zombie topping on it...thus allowing Silver plenty of 'event" material..but meh...all my dreams...crash
Well metsl bones are never that good in practice. I mean, all one really needs is to get the zombie a bit hot, and...
Well Metal conducts heat very well, and part of the reason a human body can survive being say set on fire is because they are, in a relative sense, bad heat conductors, compared to metal. Soooooo, set him on fire, let his metal bones melt his brain. OR, electrocute him. Or perhaps just shoot himn through the eyes as Dark suggested. Its really not that hard to take him down considering.
Well if you find yourself with a chance to take him down, you've probably only got one shot at it.
Also, when I said "a matter of minutes" I actually meant like around 15-20 minutes, but the zombie's don't really have a concept of time..
Besides, I personally like the idea of Phoenix trying to get us all killed and Tombstone doing something about it in the middle of a super uber zombie attack in a burning house with ammunition store explosions.
Oh snap. I meant to do something about a clock ringing 12 midnight or something in that zombie post to herald day 5. Oh well.
Yeah, but that lacks pzazz. I mean, its hardly as backstabby if Pheonix says cheeseit! and runs into his limo, maybe shooting haphazardly on the way.
By the by, we haven't got any vehicles prepared, so everyone in the mansion is basically dead, except for a few adventurous fools trying some shenanigans.
IC: Keira woke up suddenly. The sky outside was brooding, and thick black clouds rolled across the night sky, lightning crackling in the distance. A storm was coming, in more than one sense. In the light of a thunder strike, the silhouettes of hundreds of ghouls were struck against the blackened sky.
"Oh sh*t!" She cried, and ran through the house to warn the others.
Hog, peered out of the window, swore, and drew his magnum. He charged after her.
Bonzo just sat at the table, looking serious as Kiera screamed her head off about the impending zombies.
"Come on, where the feth is your short fuse when we NEED IT?" Shouted Tombstone, spit flecking off his lips as he tried to jump start the unusually sedate Clown.
"ShOrT FuSE? SHoRt FuSe...... ThAT'S iT!" Realized Bonzo, a little light bulb lighting up in his head as he had a sudden brainwave. With no warning, he jumped up from the table, grabbed a chair and threw it out of a window.
"What you up to you stupid clown?" Shouted back Tombstone, confused by the sudden outburst. Bonzo simply smiled as he reached his hands out of the now shattered window, and turned a valve below it. To his satisfaction, the vast sprinkler system began to soak the zombies just making their way into the grounds.
"Wha?" Was all that Tombstone could get out as Bonzo turned around and immediately punched through the wall and grabbed a handful of insulated copper wires.
"wE LaY ThEsE OuT AnD WaTCh Em FRY!" Bonzo giggled as he began to pull the wires towards the window and threw the frayed ends into the now soaked lawn. "ThAt ShoUld HolD Em OfF, OR We CouLD JuSt ThRoW A TaSEr aT TheM....." Pondered Bonzo as Tombstone looked at him, his expression a mixture of desperation, exasperation and confusion.
OOC - No idea if this would actually work guys, but neither does Bonzo, so if you know it would/wouldn't work, please RP it as if not, I'll need another plan! XD
OOC: Well, it's a good idea.. but I'm not sure if it would work.. after all, they're not directly touching the source of the electricity and it is first going into the ground.. meh.. Other than that, do zombies really give a damn about being electricuted? Does the mansion even still have power going to it? Isn't Bonzo being electrecuted now?
The ground is wet, the zombies are wet, and there's a bunch of copper wire lying around with some electricity a flowing. Im pretty sure its gonna zap things.
Im not sure zombies themselves will care about it, but their muscles will spasm, and their brains will fry.
The mansion I assume has it's own generator, so its a running
And most likely.
IC: Keira watched Bonzo's madness with a mixture of shock and amazement. She then turned and ran for the armoury. Without any weapons, she really wasn't going to be much use. As she pelted through the house, Keira ran through every possibility that could go wrong. Well, lots of zombies was bad for a start. There was also the lack of a ready escape route. That needed to be dealt with immediately.
She was running so fast, she didn't have time to stop as she collided with the door to the armoury.
"Sonofabi-"
Grabbing her head and groaning meaningfully Keira opened the door and headed inside. Keira was no gun expert, and couldn't aim for sh*t, but she felt it was time to practice. Grabbing up an assault rifle from a rack and a scope, Keira began to move upstairs to find a decent viewpoint. Things were going to get a bit hairy from here on.
"Aw, come the hell on!" Halon said aloud as he looked out the window at the zombies getting close to them. "We just got here and this crap happens!"
"Guess we should stop going to safehouses then." Tombstone said "They just don't have the same meaning like they used to."
Halon didn't hear the last part of what Tombstone had said as he was busy getting the gatling gun out of the back of the truck to put it up somewhere, it was heavy so Dirty Dave decided to give him a hand moving it around.
"Where we puttin' this thing?" Dirty Dave asked, grunting due to the weight of the gun.
"I don't know!" Halon said sweating, "Either the roof or a higher floor, roof may be better for aiming it, but if the zombies get too close whoever's on it may get screwed."
Next thing they knew, the gatling was going to get set up on the roof. Halon decided to stay on the gun, luck was on his side so far, and he was probably faster on his feet than most of the bikers so if he needed to get to the ground he would have a better chance of getting there faster.
Tombstone fired out of the window Bonzo had tossed the copper wires from, dropping a ghoul or two.
He barked orders to Puppy and Spanky " Get your asses to the armory, get ammo...9MM,.45 cal,.223,7.62x39MM,.12 gauge and any explosives ya got, get guns to..and get 'em in the fething van now!"
The two younger bikers rushed off to follow Tombstones commands.
"Mother fething son of a .." Tombstone roared firing his AK-47 out the window again,he caught Phoenix staring at him out of the corner of his eye.
The biker lost control.
Tombstone was across the room in a split second, only Bam Bam seemed to be aware of what was about to happen,he attempted to draw his pistol trying to defend Phoenix...he didn't make it.
Tombstone came in low,his switchblade snapping open as he moved up in a vicious arc slicing Bam Bams throat to the point of decapitation.
The huge biker was dead before he hit the floor,a spray of arterial blood painting the wall as he fell.
Big Boy moved between Phoenix and Tombstone attempting to prevent his new boss from meeting the same fate as Bam Bam,Tombstone drew one of his pistols, ducking as Big Boy swung for his head,Tombstone drove the blade of his knife up fiercely into Big Boys testicles and slashed back viciously, castrating the man instantly.
As Big Boy fell to his knees, howling a high pitched scream,Tombstone fired two rounds through the bikers face, splattering his brains against the wall behind him.
Tombstone had gone berserk,he turned aiming his pistol at Phoenix, who collapsed back into a chair screaming for his life, the biker smiled ready to send the man to hell, when Jennifer spoke.
" Tombstone!!" she screamed " kill my father and you die next."
The biker glanced over at Jennifer quickly, she held her weapon aimed straight at him.
Tombstone grined evily at the young woman " What makes you think I give a feth Princess?!" he growled
One Eye blinked, everything had happened so quickly his mind was having a hard time processing it all.
zombies were every place outside,Tombstone had gone insane killing Big Boy and Bam Bam and now had his guns on Phoenix who's Daughter had her gun on Tombstone.
"Holy feth" he thought " can it get worse?"
He heard the sound of a assault riffle bolt being pulled back.
" Bitch" Daisy said " you go ahead and shoot him..and I'll cut you and your Father to pieces"
The young woman had an AR-15 aimed right at them.
" Well gak..I guess it can get worse" One Eye thought to himself " He had to get things under control."
The older biker drew his .45 and bellowed "could we all just settle the feth down before I have to kill everybody!?"
Keira sighted down her gun at a zombie staggering ahead of the swarm some 200 metres away. She squeezed of a couple of rounds from her vantage point, but none hit. She exhaled, and aimed again.
From downstairs she heard an eruption of gunfire. The others were probably preparing for a war.
"feth this." she swore as another round went wide. The zombie almost seemed smug. Keira aimed again, and fired off about half a clip. The spray of bullets kneecapped the fiend, but it still dragged itself forwards.
"fething gun!" Keira screamed, blaming her choice of weaponry.
She ran from the balcony and back through the house. A pair of bikers crashed past arms heaped with crates of ammo. Keira rummaged in the armoury and grabbed up something that could only be described as big and scary looking. A Barrett m82 was slung over her shoulders, along with a a pair of pistols stuck into her harness. Keira ran back through the house towards the balcony again, when a hand shot out of no where and grabbed her. Keira was halfway through the motions of pulling a gun on her assailent when she relaxed. It was hog. He was weilding what worryingly like an old tripod mounted MG42.
"Where you off to then?"
"Upstairs...where'd you get that?" she said, staring at his big gun (eheheh.)
Hog smiled.
"Not everyone's guns are in the armoury. This is ma baby. She's called Linda. Now, lets see to this swarm."
They raced back up the stairs, and towards the awaiting balcony.
His eyes snapped open. Shadow glanced around, gunshots, human yet alien screams of pain and anger a stark contrast to the cracking sound of weaponsfire. He felt dizzy, and he felt unconsciousness call to him once again. But this time he ignored it, whiping his eyes with his fingers - and when he looked up, everything seemed clear for the first time in what seemed a long time. He heard shouts from the opposite room; several screams and two gunshots. That gun sounds familiar.. he thought. But why? Then he heard a wailing sound - a human scream to be sure, but not of pain, but of desperation.
"Tombstone! Kill my father and you die next!" A woman's voice.
"What makes you think I give a feth, Princess?" came an unusually familiar voice. What the hell.. I can't remember anything! Another voice - a different woman's came from the room, "Bitch, you go ahead an' shoot him an' I'll cut you and your father to pieces!"
He heard a man's voice - this one seemed unfamiliar - and the accompanying shouted words, "could we all just settle the feth down beforeI have to kill everybody?"
As he wondered what the hell was going on, he looked down. After briefly studying his clothing - and more interestingly, the body armor over it - he noticed the two pistols holstered on either side of his belt.
He couldn't really say why he did what he did next, perhaps it was instinct, or maybe he was just crazy off his head from injury and radiation poisoning. He drew one of the pistols, and tried to get up, but weakly fell to the floor. Slowly, but surely, he began to drag himself towards the room where the voices were coming from.
"Phoenix, you're gonna die. Believe me you," Tombstone promised, the anger undisguised in his voice.
"Then you die with me, you bastard," was Phoenix's reply.
"Don't you dare, don't you fething dare!" Jennifer shrieked at him.
"Bitch, don't you dare!" Daisy shouted back at her.
"Everyone just fething put the guns down!" One Eye ordered, but to no avail. Nervous glances were exchanged between everyone in the room, noone willing to lower their weapon.
Then something happened that noone had expected.
"What the hell is going on?" Shouted the prone form of Shadow, who had his gun raised, and was wildy switching his aim between everyone in the room.
"Holy gak, Shadow, you okay?" Tombstone asked.
"Shut up!" Shadow shouted back.
"What the hell, you feeling alri-"
"Shut up! Shut the feth up!" He screamed again, panic clearly rising in his voice and expression.
"Now hold on a second.." One Eye began, moving towards Shadow, without realizing he still had his gun drawn. Shadow swung his pistol round and fired before One Eye had taken three steps.
"What the feth?" Daisy shouted.
"Shadow what the feth - you killed One Eye!" Tombstone called, almost training his aim on his friend.
"What the hell is going on? Where am I? Who am I? Who the feth are all of you?" Shadow shouted back. "What the feth is going on?"
Halon walked in, carrying the gatling gun with Dirty Dave. "Wow what the hell?" He asked.
Shadow swung his gun around once more, aiming at Halon. "Don't fething move! Take another fething step and I blow your head off!"
Tombstone glanced around, taking in what had just happened - Shadow, his friend who he'd just met a few days ago, had just killed One Eye - a man he'd known for years. Then there was still Phoenix to deal with. gak, he thought. This really isn't going well..
Tombstone stared at Shadow for a brief second, and spoke " That man you just shot was like a Father to me...by all rights I should kill you..so if this doesn't prove I'm a friend to you nothing will"
The biker re holstered his pistols.
" Kill him!! Kill him now!!" Phoenix shouted at Jennifer.
Go on Princess" Tombstone said in a tired voice " pull that trigger..I don't fething care."
Jennifer stared at Tombstone and lowered her weapon " You did what you said you'd do,you got me to my Father..."
Tombstone nodded and motioned to Daisy to lower her weapon, she reluctantly did.
Shadow looked slightly puzzled, but remained watchful and anxious " No body move!...just ...just stay still."
A low groan escaped One Eye,Tombstones attention snapped to the old biker who lay crumpled on the floor..he was alive.
" Shadow...I'm going to help him" Tombstone said pointing at One Eye " I'm not going to try anything to hurt you..but if you feel like you have to kill me...then pull the trigger."
Halon was standing and staring bewildered at Shadow.
"What the hell happened?" Halon said loudly "More importantly what the hell did I do to get a gun pointed at me?"
"Shut up!" Shadow shouted, trying to grasp the situation.
"This is bullcrap man and you know it." Halon yelled back "Those things are out there and now we have a damn standoff inside? Who's fething idea was this?"
"I said shut up Halon." Shadow said while still aiming at Tombstone and then Phoenix and so on until he cycled the entire group.
Halon wanted to do something, the gatling gun was heavy and he wanted it set up or set down quickly.
Tombstone was moving slowly to his friend on the ground and Shadow was fixed on Tombstone. Halon decided to give putting the gun down a shot.
"I said don't move..." Shadow began and Halon began lowering the gun.
"So far so good." He thought to himself. The gun was almost touching the ground when it touched the ground.
Shadow immediately heard the clang and aimed towards Halon and Puppy.
"I was just putting it down, its heavy you know." Halon said raising his hands in the air.
Shadow continued scanning the room. Phoenix looked like he was making a move, Jennifer looked like she was making a move, hell even Puppy looked like he was making a move.
"Oh hell," Halon thought pulling his gun on Phoenix "if you can't beat 'em join 'em."
Surprisingly, Shadow didn't shoot at him. It was odd, really odd.
Keira watched as Hog opened fire on the zombies. The gun was large, and even though Hog was strong enough to hold it still as it bucked violently, she could see the strain it was having on him.
"Put it down, don't try to impress me, you might pull out some of your stitches. " she said, before sighting down her Rifle. The gun seemed to be heavily effected by her every breath, and the sights swayed from left to right. Keira concentrated, and breathed out before firing. A zombies head popped like a water melon.
"Score!"
Hog opened fire again, a stream of bullets punching up clumps of mud and grass as its fire traced towards the incoming horde.
"Lets get down to business" he mumbled.
Meanwhile in the standoff in the living room the echoes of gunfire drifted down. Whatever had kept the people oblivious to the incoming horde was going to ware off fast.
OOC: I think the shadow thing will have to be finished quickly. Dark put us in one hell of a mess, and is now trying to get us all killed I suggest you disarm him quickly and maybe knock him out. Or if you feel merciful at least point him in the direction of the zombies. An' get MM in so he can look after One eye. An' maybe, just maybe we'll deal with Phoenix after the horde?
OOC: He's suffering from amnesia, he has radiation poisoning (now that the ton of drugs you pumped in him has worn off) and all you wanna do is knock him out/disarm him.
Nobody thought of trying to answer his questions yet?
Tombstone moved slowly towards One Eye,he could see the old biker had taken the round Shadow had fired in the upper part of his shoulder near the collar bone,One Eye was hurt..bleeding...but the old bastard was still alive and kicking.
" Son..what the feth did ya wanna shoot me for?" the old biker asked Shadow in a conversational manner.
Shadow turned his pistol on One Eye,surprised to see the man wasn't dead.
" What the feth is going on here!!" Shadow bellowed
" Simmer down son" One Eye said trough obvious pain " I don't want ya ta start shooting again...especially when ya got your gun aimed at me."
Shadow stared quizzically at the old biker, his head at a slight angle " Old man you better tell me what the feth is going on...or I'm going to shoot you in the face."
" Well I wouldn't want ya to spoil my good looks" One Eye said with a snort, which caused him to wince in pain " Your names Shadow...your among friends..you got hurt bad out on the road..Tombstone over there brought ya here and we tried ta fix ya up...ya was out cold...but apparently ya got up and decided I needed a bullet in my shoulder...and here we are." One Eye smiled at Shadow. " Oh and there are about a hundred hungry zombies outside trying to get in to eat us ...I think that covers everything."
Shadow blinked at the old biker.
"yeah yeah crazy gak I know" One Eye shrugged and winced in pain again. " Stone help me the feth up."
Tombstone walked over to One Eye and slowly helped him to his feet.
" Now get me over to Medicine Man..I've been shot." One Eye giggled ,he looked at Shadow " You better come with us son..let old Medicine Man check yer head...looks like ya might have popped some stitches."
Shadow stared at the bikers, looking confused.
Tombstone looked down at Shadow " C'mon soldier boy..let's get your empty head checked."
Shadow's face seemed to go blank for a moment, then he regained focus..." Soldier boy?"
" Yeah..you..soilder boy." Tombstone said.
Shadow seemed to drift in thought again.
Tombstone took the moment to give orders to the rest " pour fire on the zeds out there guys..keep 'em off the house...Halon...watch Phoenix...Pup...keep loading the van ...Daisy with me...help Shadow."
The young woman went to Shadow, she moved cautiously and spoke to him calming " Shadow..please let us help you...you'll be ok..."
Shadow cautiously got to his feet and allowed Daisy to assist him in returning to Medicine Man.
As the four moved down the hallway,Phoenix reached into his coat pocket and pressed the send button on his phone.
"Great," Halon thought "now its my turn to watch Mr. Evil."
Halon kept his USP aimed at Mr. Phoenix and watched for any twitches of him going for a weapon.
"Put your gun on the table missy." Halon said to Jennifer.
She had obviously sided with her father in all of this and she also obviously had a gun. That wasn't any good Halon thought to himself.
"So, Tomb puts you in charge and now the power goes to your head huh, how cute." Jennifer sneered.
"Whatever, just put the safety on and toss it on the table now." Halon said with his weapon still trained on Phoenix.
He saw Jennifer take the gun and saw her touch the side, hopefully engaging the safety and then she tossed it on the table, the gun slid and ended up falling off the other side landing with a thud.
"Now both of you on the couch." Halon said.
Having them both in the same relative location would make it easier for him to watch them, if this was a security drill Halon's XO would've been proud.
Phoenix and Jennifer moved slowly to the couch, almost as if they were trying Halon's patience.
"Don't worry Jennifer, help is on its way." Phoenix said softly to his daughter. The din of gunfire and zombie groans preventing Halon from hearing it.
In the rear of the mansion Medicine Man worked quickly, using a simple local anesthetic and with a bit of help from Tombstone, the old biker soon had the bullet from One Eyes shoulder removed.
Medicine Man finished stitching the wound and turned his attention to Shadow " Your memories shall return young warrior" Medicine Man said softly " until then..you must trust in your heart that you are among friends."
Shadow still looked confused, but nodded " I suppose I must be...if you guys weren't friends ...I guess I'd be dead by now."
Tombstone laughed " You got that right buddy."
Shadow stared at Tombstone, a slight smile appeared on his face.
One Eye got to his feet and chewed a few pain pills Medicine Man had given him " Ok...we got a hell of a lot to do and not alot of time to do it in."
Tombstone turned to One Eye " Well...Spanky and Pup are loading supplies...the rest are holding the fort.."
One Eye cut Tombstone off " Yes...but you have insured a war...there's no way Phoenix is going to let this go...and you fething know it."
" Feth Phoenix" Tombstone said " He's probably got more men on the way...but I doubt they'll make it through all those fethers outside...We offer him his life...right now he doesn't have gak to bargain with."
One Eye shrugged " Maybe...just let me do the talking when we get back out there."
Tombstone Shrugged indifferently " We do it your way Bro." He turned his attention to Medicine Man " You'd best get some medical supplies together too...we may have to get the feth out of here soon."
From the front room the gunfire intensified.
" In fact" Tombstone said " I'm sure we'll have to get out of here soon."
He turned and rushed back towards the front of the house,One Eye and Daisy close behind.
The gunfire had grown louder, in fact it seemed like some of it was coming from outside of the house.
Halon turned away from Phoenix and Jennifer to take a glance outside, there were some trucks similar to the ones that had shot at them before on the highway.
"Crap, I gotta tell Tomb and them." Halon said as he jumped in place and began sprinting towards the hall.
It was a bad mistake in a line of things to come.
Phoenix had managed to stand up and sent his forearm into Halon's neck as he began to go past them to get to the others.
The second mistake was running with a loaded weapon, his hand hit the ground and he accidentally pulled the trigger, shooting one of the bikers who had been near the window.
The third mistake was rolling towards Phoenix as Phoenix brought his foot pointedly into Halon's chest.
The only saving grace Halon had was the fact that the shot had alerted the bikers at the front and that he had managed to pull the gun into his chest to prevent Phoenix or Jennifer from grabbing it.
Halon tried to shout, but the wind had been knocked out of him. He was in a bad spot, Phoenix and Jennifer began running towards the garage.
"We have to get out of here!" Urged Phoenix as he lead his daughter to the garage. When they got there, he opened two cases, and removed from each a single rifle. They was unassembled, but Phoenix and Jennifer soon rectified that and slammed a round home, and grabbed a couple more magazines each.
"Wait. What the hell was that?" Jennifer whispered.
Phoenix stopped dead still, and listened. Sure, he could hear gunfire, lots of it, and the odd shout. Even though he couldn't hear anything else, something still felt.. wrong. He racked the bolt on his gun, waited for a moment, before he finally realised that he'd been holding his breath. He exhaled and turned back to Jennifer. "See? There's absolutely nothi-" Phoenix's words trailed off and became a scream as the massive Zombie that had been clinging to the roof detached itself from where it was concealed, directly above Phoenix, and landed on top of him. As he was sent to the floor, Phoenix instinctively pressed down the trigger on his gun as his arm swung wildy around, and his shots managed to burst the front-right tire on the pickup truck. Phoenix looked up, and saw a towering monstrosity, with a bony exoskeleton raising inhuman claws in preperation to rip his head off - he swore it'd be the last thing he'd see.
"Get off him you ugly bastard!"
Dozens of rounds instantly slammed into the back of the zombie-leader - at point blank range - and it shrieked in agony as some of the shots actually penetrated its exoskeleton and hit its metal-hard skin. A couple of trails of a strange, dark-purple blood leaked from several points on its back, but it swung around and sent Jennifer flying a dozen metres with a viscious backhand. Luckily for her, a bump on the head was all she'd got. She raised the rifle to fire again, but the bolt clicked down on thin air...
From her vantage point, Keira could see the zombies. There was alot of them. In fact, she could see the bumbling shapes of the undead for miles around. The only good thing was they weren't getting any closer than 100 metres or so from the house. There was just too much firepower being poured into them. Keira reloaded and fired another shot off, taking a zombie in the chest, and splitting it in twain in a fountain of blood. Hogs sanguine face contorted into a grimace of hate as he spotted a massive beast clamber into the garage.
"Sh*t, they're going for the motor's!" he yelled. "I hope he doesn't touch my harley!"
Keira span round and watched the thing slip inside. It was stealthy. A crackle of electricity sparked off in front of the house, and a wave of leading zombies convulsed under the electrical currant.
"We gotta warn the others inside. I'll go, you make sure any other big zombies don't get within range of scratching distance."
Hog nodded and turned his attention back to the legion of the dead that were converging upon the house.
Keira raced down the stairs and into the main room. A dozen people were firing through the windows, and a dozen more were trying to batter down the garage door.
"Shoot the lock off!" someone roared, and a resounding blast sent the cast iron door knocker, and a large portion of the door flying away. The door was kicked swiftly open, and the Bikers, led by Halon, who had recovered from his ordeal, charged through. Gunfire erupted from within.
Keira scanned the distance, and saw the convoy of hummers. Gunfire was erupting from all windows, and they were ramming undead that got in their way. They were slowly powering themselves towards the house. Keira sighted down her rifle at the leading vehicle. Keira knew she was opposed to killing people at one point in her life, but..
Well, it didn't seem to matter any more.
Keira fired at the window, and punched a hole through the glass, and into the driver's seat. The vehicle stopped.
"Nice shot." murmured a Biker she had not met, and she nodded. Keira then followed the fire fight into the garage.
OOC: I have to agree,an event of some sort would probably be in order soon.
BIC:
Tombstone rushed into the main room,One Eye and Daisy hot on his heals, the sounds of intense gunfire pouring from the garage.
Others were busy attempting to hold back the advancing zombie horde, pouring fire from the windows.
Hog saw Tombstone and yelled across the room " There's three Hummers out side ..pretty sure they're Phoenix's men."
A window exploded from gunfire from outside.
" Yeah." Hog said " Obviously Phoenix's men." he let loose a burst of weapons fire in return.
" Waste 'em" Tombstone said, turning his attention to the sounds of battle in the garage,he looked at One Eye "C'mon man let's get in there!"
As they crashed into the combat zone that had been the garage,Tombstone took everything in quickly.
Halon,Dirty Dave,Puppy and Two Dogs where unloading on what appeared to be an armour plated monstrosity.
" Feth me" Tombstone whispered
Across the garage Phoenix was sitting on the floor,he'd been wounded,Jennifer was kneeling near him,she too was firing at the creature.
The Beast was pouring blood from over a hundred wounds, but showed no sign of going down.
" The head!!" Tombstone bellowed " concentrate all fire on it's fething head!!"
The group did as Tombstone ordered, this seemed to do more damage to the creature, but still the abomination refused to fall.
Two Dogs moved from his position behind cover,a grenade held in his hand and a look of fierce determination on his face.
" Hey you ugly mother fether" Two Dogs yelled " If your hungry..I got something you can fething eat!!"
The creature whirled in the direction of the yelling biker, and in an instant was upon him, lifting him completely off the ground.
Two Dogs issued a guttural scream as the beasts claws tore into his sides,it's powerful grip shattering his ribs.
" Feth You!!" the biker screamed,a froth of blood gurgling from his mouth from his ruptured inside and splattering into the creatures face.
Two Dogs pulled the pin from the grenade and let the spoon fly,a small smile spread across his blood slicked lips " Bon appetite you rotten feth!!" he said as he jammed his arm into the beast gaping maw.
" Every one get down!!" One Eye bellowed, pulling Daisy and Tombstone to cover.
Lodged deep inside the creatures throat, the grenade detonated with a tremendous bang, sending the ruined body of Two Dogs spiraling across the garage and into a wall.
Most of the creatures head had been obliterated in the blast,it staggered momentarily, wobbled and pitched forward crashing across the hood of the truck.
" Mother Fething gak!!" Puppy yelled upon seeing his friend Two Dogs destroyed form " Stone we got to get the feth out of here!" the young biker said, almost in a panic.
" Settle down Pup" Tombstone said " We will...just hang tight."
Tombstone glared over at Phoenix, the man was bleeding .
" Did it fething bite him?" the biker said staring at Jennifer.
Tombstone raised his pistols " Did it Fething bite him!!!"
In a bit of an effort to alleviate any confusion, and to perhaps aid Silver in any upcoming event,I decided to post a list of " Who's in the house" of sorts.
So we have.
Tombstone
Shadow
Halon
Keira
Bonzo
Jennifer
Saunders
and as for NPCs
One Eye
Daisy
Phoenix
Puppy
Dirty Dave
Hog
Spanky
Medicine Man
and several un-named "Biker girls"
I believe that's everyone.
We also have a now ruined truck full of supplies, several Harley's,a van full of supplies and a Limo.
" Damn it! stop pointing guns at my Father!!" Jennifer yelled at Tombstone " He wasn't fething bitten...that fething thing just knocked him down!!"
Tombstone hesitated,he had come to begrudgingly respect Jennifer over the past few days...hell,he had to admit he liked her in an odd sort of way.
He lowered his pistols and spoke " Fine Princess,Daddy hasn't been bitten...or so you say." the biker glared at Phoenix " If he shows any sign of changing..becoming one of those things...I wont let you stop me from killing him."
Jennifer glared at Tombstone "If he starts to change...I'll kill him myself you bastard."
Phoenix spoke calmly from the floor " I assure you I have not been bitten, mealy knocked about some."
"Shame it didn't rip your fething head off." Halon said absently.
"Feth you" Jennifer spat at Halon.
" No! Feth you you overprivileged self absorbed little bitch." Halon roared back at her " Your Daddy's men tried to kill us out there on the road!!...Now theirs more of them outside shooting at us...and you still won't see what a fething snake he is....or maybe your just like him!!"
Jennifer said nothing but continued glaring at Halon.
" If you'll permit me " Phoenix said reaching into his coat pocket.
Several guns came to bear on the man,Phoenix raised his hand,a cell phone palmed inside.
" I assure you gentlemen...I have no dastardly plans in mind" Phoenix said smiling " If I may." he indicated his phone.
Tombstone nodded at Phoenix,
The man hit the send button on his phone and waited a moment, finally speaking " Yes...this is Phoenix, cease all hostilities on the mansion...concentrate all fire on those creatures outside...repeat...you will concentrate all fire on those creatures outside
Phoenix paused eyeing Tombstone..." Have you a plan Mr.Tombstone?"
The biker hesitated for a moment and then spoke " Getting out of here would seem to be the most advantageous move."
" Agreed." Phoenix said,he spoke again over the phone " We shall be attempting evacuation soon...stand by."
Phoenix clicked the phone off.
" You see Mr. Tombstone...no tricks" Phoenix smiled " I merely wish to get myself and my beloved daughter out of here in one piece."
" Tombstone!" Halon spoke " You can't seriously be considering trusting this fether..."
Tombstone laughed " I don't trust him..but as I see it he can't save his ass without saving ours....He tries crossing us...we kill him...and he knows it."
Phoenix smiled broadly " Indeed...it seems, just like in politics, the end of the world makes for strange bed fellows."
Halon sneered at the man " Feth up...try to double cross us and I promise you...you'll die."
Phoenix nodded smiling.
"C'mon" One Eye said "Let's get it together and get it in gear...if we're moving out...let's do it."
Tombstone stepped into the front room of the mansion " Situation!?" he demanded " What we got outside!?"
Saunders turned from the window he and a young biker girl were both shooting from " We're thinning them down some Stone, but theirs still some out there...if we're hauling ass we may want to do it soon...before reinforcements arrive."
" Damn right." Tombstone said,he turned his attention to the main group " All of you hit the armoury...get ammo for what ever weapons you got...if you don't have a side arm get one...move in groups of two...keep them windows covered!!"
Two biker girls moved quickly for the armoury.
Tombstone turned to Spanky and Puppy "get everything out of the truck...it's FUBAR...load it in the fething limo...as much as you can cram in...and check it for explosives ...just in case."
The two younger bikers ran to follow Tombstones orders.
" Ten fething minutes people!!" the biker yelled running for the rear of the mansion and hollering up to Keira and Hog " Let's move!!...we are pulling out!!" as he went.
Tombstone glanced over his shoulder as he ran,One Eye was busy keeping everyone moving and seeing that the evacuation was moving quickly, Daisy was right behind him.
" Stone" she said rushing to keep up with the biker " I want you to know I love you...if we don't make it out of here...I want you to know that."
Tombstone paused and took the young woman in his arms kissing her " I love you too." he said " now let's get a move on."
Daisy smiled and took off after the biker.
The couple rushed into Medicine Mans "hospital", the old biker was bandaging Shadows head and giving him a shot.
"this will help ease the effects of your sickness" the old biker said to Shadow as Tombstone and Daisy rushed in.
" We got to get a move on " Tombstone said " five minutes...can you be ready?"
" We will be ready fierce Tombstone" Medicine Man smiled " I just have to finish packing a few supplies."
Tombstone looked at Shadow " How about you Bro?" the biker asked " You ready to roll?"
Shadow smiled " Do I have a choice?" he laughed.
" Yes" Tombstone laughed " Come with us or cover yourself with ketchup and sit around and wait for more dinner guest to arrive."
Bonzo giggle as he was told to go to the armoury, bikers looked at him nervously as he was showing an obviously far too happy demeanour as he entered the room. He turned instantly to the wall, surveyed the weapons available and tucked three uzis in his belt, stuffing some ammunition into a shoe and a pocket in his dirty trousers. He also hid a few jackknives about his person and finally, pulled a SPAS 12 from the wall and appropriate ammo from the walls, stroking his newly found friends as he left.
"I ThiNk We'Ll CAlL YoU MOuReeN" He said to the gun, the bikers suppressing laughter at this display of affection. "BuT I StIlL WanT My FeTHInG CHaInsAwS!"
He made his way back to the room where everything seemed to be happening,Tombstone was talking to the medicine man and Shadow, overhearing a bit of Tombstone's conversation he made his way to the kitchen. After a little rooting around, he got what he'd gone in there for and plonked a little bottle of red sauce in front of the slightly traumatised Shadow.
Shadow just stared blankly at the bottle produced in front of him. When he glanced up at who had put it there, his jaw dropped open, temporarily awe-struck at the insane, smelly, perverse mockery of a clown before him. Then he glanced at the weapons the freak had about himself.
Shadow instinctively reached for a pistol. "Who the feth is this crackhead?" He demanded.
"yOu kNow HoW wE HaVe ThinGS ThAT Go BumP iN ThE nIgHT?" Smirked Bonzo, his grin growing ever larger.
"Yea...." Said Shadow, unimpressed and still non the wiser.
"I'M WhO GoEs BUMP In TheiR NighT!" Screamed Bonzo with a cacophony of laughter, triggering a hiding zombie to show itself from the door frame it had been hiding behind. Before anyone could react and without turning around, Bonzo whipped an uzi out and sprayed the door, chewing up the zombie's face and narrowly missing a random biker.
"SeE?" Said Bonzo, smiling now as wide as he could muster, showing all of his oh so pretty teeth.
Hog and Keira raced down the stairs and into the garage. The room was a mess, with a large and mangled corpse twitching on the floor.
"F*ck me, you guys don't do things half measure." Hog bellowed, taking in the catastrophe of the room. He then set about strapping the MG42 to his bike. Keira slung her rifle, and looked around for something to do. Soon she was helping with the desperate packing. The zombies were close, and some had already made it inside. They were gonna have to make a break for it soon.
"Alright we're almost ready to head out." Halon yelled out to the guys watching the windows, "wait for us to tell you to run."
Some of the bikers and others had already finished packing their bikes and the limo got some stuff thrown in it as well.
"I think we should stick Phoenix in the van and Jennifer in the limo." Halon said to Tomb.
"That makes some sense actually, better than your idea about bringing the gatling gun inside." Tombstone said grinning. The real schemer inside of Halon was starting to show, not as good as himself or a lot of others who have been in the business longer, but at least he showed promise.
Halon looked at the group, a lot more people had been added. Shadow was partially crazy and Bonzo was all crazy, not Patrick crazy though.
"Geez, one of him may have been useful right about now." Halon thought to himself as he began watching the zombies at the window get closer.
Tombstone quickly surveyed the group gathered in the garage, more people than he had initially thought, even though the Limo and the van were both very large...they would be packed in like sardines.
Then there was the problem of Phoenix's men outside, although two of the Hummers had been turned into zombie buffets, two more had held out and were moving in slow circles up and down the road outside, they were sure to follow the group...and possibly start shooting once they had cleared the mansion.
Tombstone thought about his conversation with Halon, perhaps sending Jennifer to join Phoenix's men was the trick...she certainly wouldn't allow them to open fire on a vehicle holding her Father...nor risk him being killed if shooting started.
" Stone" Spanky spoke from behind " Ain't no way we're all going to fit in that van...Limo either...some of us are gonna have to go on bikes."
Tombstone nodded,he knew this was true...but it was suicide.
" Me and my girl Donna" Spanky said " We talked about it...we'll go on my bike...Donna's a good shot..she'll hang on the back and take care of any of those things if they get too close...once we get clear..I'll run full speed until we get to the meeting point."
Tombstone nodded, he knew that he wouldn't be able to talk Spanky out of his decision " Move fast and ride hard brother" Tombstone said hugging Spanky and slapping him on the head.
Spanky offered a crooked smile " you know I always ride hard Bro...I die hard too."
The young biker rushed to his Harley, his girlfriend Donna already seated on the bike, a MAC-10 SMG held in each of her hands.
Tombstone walked over to Phoenix " Call your men...tell them they have a pick up to make."
" Ahh yes" Phoenix smiled " Jennifer and I will depart with them and.."
" Not you" Tombstone said " Just the Princess...your ridding with us...Princess with your men...they get trigger happy...and you get a hole right through your head.
" But I was to understand." Phoenix begin...Tombstone cut him off.
" The Princess will keep your men in check" Tombstone said " If everyone behaves...you,the princess and your men get to go on your merry way once we get clear of this mess...you have my word on it."
" I don't suppose I have a choice do I?" Phoenix said with a hint of anger.
" You could say no...and I could shoot you now." Tombstone said.
" Indeed" Phoenix said " I'll inform my men...you will see to it my Daughter is evacuated safely?"
Tombstone grinned " I won't let any harm come to her..I give you my word on that as well."
Jennifer was not happy when she was told of Tombstones plan " Why can't my Father and I just fething leave now...why does he have to be held captive by you?"
she said angrily.
" I don't trust dear old Daddy at all Princess...but I trust you...or at least I trust you won't do anything stupid that would get Daddy hurt...if your with his men...you'll make them behave...and once we get clear of here...you and Daddy can leave with his men...I promise you that." Tombstone said.
" I don't like it" Jennifer said " But it doesn't seem we have any choice...just know if you hurt him...I'll make sure you suffer."
" I know that Princess" Tombstone said " now let's get you moving."
One of the Hummers moved quickly to the front of the Mansion, the men inside blasting away at the group of ghouls at the front of the house, cutting a path through them.
Tombstone and Jennifer were out the front door in seconds, the bikers pistols firing rapidly as they rushed to the SUV.
The door of the Hummer flew open, and Tombstone found himself staring down the barrel of an MP5.
"well" Tombstone thought " I guess this is the end of me."
The man holding the gun shouted "Get her in ..Move..Move!!"
Tombstone grabbed Jeniffer and quickly pushed her into the SUV,before the man inside could react, the biker was slamming the door and shouting " Go! Fething drive!!".
The Hummer tore off, tires squealing as Tombstone turned and rushed back into the mansion, pistols firing as he barely avoided being overwhelmed by the horde of walking dead.
Back in the mansion,Tombstone sat out of breathe on the floor,he slowly reloaded his pistols.
One Eye laughed and helped Tombstone to his feet " Stone...you are one crazy bastard" the old biker smiled.
" Brother" Tombstone said " You ain't seen nothing yet."
Hi there guys, sorry for so long without a post but I've been really busy in real life. I don't know if anyone wants to take over as the DM but if anyone is interested in doing so, please let me know.
If you want me to stay on, that is fine but I'm not getting all that much time to keep up with the RP at the moment and it is not looking much better in the near future.
Well, I wouldn't mind.. but being a DM and a player wouldn't be too much fun (extra posting..) and it'd get Ghosty on my case most likely . Plus, with all the billions of extra bits of H/W I'm getting this year, I barely get on Dakka anymore (except weekend.) Or we could vote a new or "temporary" DM.
ghosty wrote:IndeedI would. Imagine me as a forboding cloud of doom that sucks the life out of all who displease me. then add a tophat to that image.
Because you want your foreboding cloud of doom to be impeccably dressed.
In all seriousness,I would hate to see Silver go,he has been an excellent DM,however if it's unavoidable that Silver drop out then perhaps the solution could be.
A. To have one last big free for all event, which Silver does, the survivors of which write an epilogue and we call it a day for the thread.
OR
B. Silver does on more event centering around the exodus from the mansion and whoever doesn't make it (meaning only one major character can die) becomes the new DM...of course everyone would have to make a genuine effort TO survive...no throwing yourself to the zombie horde in hopes of becoming the new DM.
In case y'all forgot, our target was atleast 100 pages. Dakka history, people! We'd get the "longest thread award".
The only one I've seen that gets even close to that was about 84 pages (and was another RP).
Anyway, I do believe Ghosty has just given the reason why he should most definitely not be GM. He'd kill us all, most likely starting with me .
Agreed, though, it's a shame to see Silver go, after him having done such a great job.
But, "the show must go on," as they say.
Damn, now I'm writing like FITZZ's with almost every sentence on a different line.
~~
I will help to keep this RP alive, but unless Shad meets an unfortunate end (which would make me sad - I have plans for him ) then it seems unlikely I'll become full GM.
Btw, who has GM experience here? On Dakka, that is. I do, but does anyone else?
Oh, don't misunderstand me Darko, I want the thread to continue as well,as our dear "Tombstone" stated at the end of my last RP " You ain't seen nothing yet.", I too have a lot of plans up my sleeve.
I was simply tossing out some ideas, the one of which I prefer would be for one of us ( the remaining players ) to take over as GM.
That does however present a problem as there are only five of us posting on a regular basis.
I for one would be most happy if you could, you have done an excellent job thus far and your aid in transitioning the RP to a new GM would be invaluable.
IMO,the easiest way to handle getting a new GM would simply be for which ever character that dies in your final event to become the new GM (if everyone agrees on that idea.)
I'd also like to add that I've enjoyed having you as GM and will miss your input and events,it's been alot of fun gaming with you Silver.
I think it would be good if we had a kind of 'ride of into the sunset' style ending to be honest. I mean, this thread has lost alot of it's players, and I feel it may be coming to an end. But, I feel it shouldn't be the end of the characters, as they've become very important to us all, im sure.
Anyways, There's always the chance of another RP in the future for the characters to come back to >

Just my thoughts on the matter.
Ghosty brings up some very good points here, while I would love to see the thread continue,we are down to five regular posters/players as Ninja and JP have sort of disappeared.
If one of the remaining poster/players is to become GM to replace Silver, then the remaining four would have perhaps one or two more big events (unless I'm missing something) until the RP concludes
I must admit,I'm torn...I'd honestly enjoy seeing this adventure come to some conclusion, perhaps one which could at some point be revived as another RP ( Dawn of the Living Dead...the sequel)...but I don't necessarily want to "rush" that conclusion.
I'm guessing we players should make some decisions, agree on them and then proceed from that point.
In a possible sequel (when silver has the time, you just cant replace him) i was thinking perhaps the zombie holocaust has run its course, and control is being taken back? Lots of opportunities there.
Now as for the conclusion, I think it would work well if we kinda left of at the point of escaping the mansion. We could kinda do it like we get separated (for example, Keira n' hog are gonna bike off) and it could end with people being separated by fate. Y'know?
Like Tomb and daisy head to hippy commune, Phoenix and jen disapeer into the underground layer, Shadow gets eaten (sorry, had to ), Halon and saunders battle bus it off, Bonzo and the bikers cartwheel away.. etc etc.
I think it'd make it work well, plus if everyone's generally split up, it'd be less intimidating for new players in the next one. I mean we saw how the first one went when half the players were in a big group, and the other half were dotted around on their own. The soloers got bored ver. quickly. Plus, I think with separating you can really rp your finish the way YOU want it (again with the exception of dark, whose going to get eaten) as opposed to it being controlled. Just my thoughts.
I see what your getting at ghosty, and like a good bit of it,plus you bring up an excellent point concerning our characters being split up for a future RP,definitely the best way to start a new RP would be by having all our characters separated.
My chief complaint would be that certain scenarios have been set into motion that would almost require some sort of "GM event" to resolve them before we can reach a point where we could write our own "and then they rode off into the sunset...to be continued"
Primarily focusing around Phoenix and Jennifer's separation..although that could figure in to a new RP down the line I suppose.
Also, most of those at the mansion are aware of the commune as being the target destination...so there would have to be some sort of "Shake up" to cause the split up...if you see what I'm getting at.
I like the idea of writing our "epilogues" so to speak, but there are a few "loose ends" that I belive would need adressing.
I agree completely. I think though, considering only Daisy really knows where the commune is, getting lost and separated is a good deal easier than expected. Especially when ther'es odd mutants running amock.
As for phoenix and jennifer being separated... Well i dont see why they should, it'd be interesting starting point for the next. And we're presuming too much. As Fm seems to have stopped posting, maybe they aren't interested so much any more..
Maybe we should just have one last event, then call this thread a day and start a new one later on?
Although I'm dead certain that if Ghosty does the event, Shadow's dead. -_- (but then I'll come back as GM for the next one and make his character's life hell )
And im sure if i were to do it, i wouldn't be biased towards the walking buffet that is Shadow.
In all honesty though, why is it we need an event?
I mean, the point in which everyone's driving off seems like a good finishing point to me, we don't need to add an element of chance that someone will die just before the end (Shadow excluded, he's going dooowwwnnnn) I mean, all we'd need in theory, is a quick bit o' dialogue talking about people leaping into vehicles, and then we can all do our endings (again, shadow excluded, he's getting eeeten )

No, of course you wouldn't.

Perhaps not a "full blown" event, but some sort of GM summarization could be helpful.
there are some things that should be handled by a "non player",for example...the mass of NPCs,will they "carry over" into a future thread or meet a grisly fate in the exodus?.
Phoenix is currently being held by some of our characters..I personally feel he should either die, giving Jennifer a "thirst for vengeance" (if Ninja returns for a new RP) or make a run for it,allowing a possible return on a later RP.
I've got Tombstones exodus pretty much worked out, along with a few ideas for some of the NPCs...but I don't want to step on anyone else's ideas.
So....when Darko and ghosty get done playing...perhaps we could decide when we'll all be doing our "finales" and who if anyone will be doing an epilogue/end write up...hmmm?
...Just joking around guys...you can feel free to continue to "take the piss." (is that right?) with each other all you like.
To the matter at hand, i'd say that we get the getting into the vehicles finale down, and then maybe do our own epilogues. I have an idea already for the sequel, so I could write up an ending to suit everyone's interests. And if people cant take jokes i'll be deliberately considerate on their (whomever they may be) part, as the worst thing of all, is to piss of someone who bruises easily ( see operation: 'Big bird' )
Okay, I would agree with this being a good point to end. Especially since we made it to 50+ pages and didn't get too incredibly bored with it. We need to stop it before it does though.
We should break up, but possibly not due to fate, perhaps something bad will happen but all the characters know where to rendevous?
Also, I want Phoenix to die in a manner he won't 'object' to.
Yes, I agree we should start writing up (or at least getting an idea) for our epilogues/final RPs...I do have some ideas that I want to flesh out a bit..but I've no problem at all with you doing an "ending".
@ Halonachos.
I to want Phoenix to die...not so much because he "deserves to die"..but because of the potential for the character of Jennifer to return as an uber bad ass antagonist in a future RP.
Think about it,she believed her Father to be dead for years,is told he is still alive by Tombstone, who then swears to get her to her Father, which he does only to then attack the man and ultimately separate them again...top that with Phoenix dying in some savage manner and Jennifer damn near has a "super villain: back-story.
OOC: I'm going to kick the ball off and attempt to set up a place where everyone can write up their characters exodus and still leave openings for each to right an epilogue if they wish, plus leave enough open for a final write up as well.
BIC:
Tombstone and One Eye entered the garage, inside, the ragged group of survivors had gathered.
Tombstone noticed that like Spanky and Donna,Hog had mounted his Harley as well and was surprised to see Keria had climbed behind him,a small smile crept over Tombstones face as he suspected that perhaps Keria had found a guy that may ..in time..help her pain over Tom pass..
He saw Halon leaning against Phoenixs armoured Limo, the man was keeping an eye on Phoenix, but talking with two young biker girls.
Bonzo,Suanders and Dirty Dave stood nearby a few Harleys ,discussing the logistics of exiting the garage, laughing on occasion as Bonzo entertained them with various antics.
Medicine Man and Shadow stood near the van, with the help of a pretty biker girl,Medicine Man was checking the bandages on Shadows head, the old biker seemed pleased with his work and was cheerful that Shadow would have a full recovery.
One Eye climbed aboard his Harley,a pretty young blonde climbing on behind him holding an MP5-SD and a sawed off 12 Gauge.
" You ok to ride?" Tombstone asked his friend.
The old biker laughed " Stone, I been riding for near 35 years...if I'm gonna meet my maker...it's gonna be on two wheels." ,the pretty blonde handed One Eye the shot gun and kissed his cheek.
" I hear ya Brother" Tombstone smiled shaking hands with One Eye " Let's do this"
Tombstone walked to the van, fished out a few boxes of ammo and two MP5s and walked over to wear Bam Bams old Shovel head was parked,Tombstone had always been a bit envious of the Bike...but now..by all rights it was his.
Daisy strolled up to Tombstone " So" she said " Are we taking that out" she pointed at the motor cycle.
" We sure are darling." Tombstone said shoving the ammo boxes into the saddle bags of the big bike and handing one of the MP5s to the young woman.
A seductive smile spread over Daisy's face and she wrapped her arms around Tombstones neck kissing him deeply " I've always had a thing for motor cycles" she purred.
Tombstone ran his hands up her long legs and hugged her around the waist " You just remember what I taught you...keep blasting those things until were clear and on the road." the biker smiled.
Daisy kissed Tombstone again and smiled " I'll watch your back...forever."
" Hey!!..Hey you mother fether!! what do you think your doing!!" shouted Halon.
Tombstone turned in time to see Phoenix rush out of the garages side door.
Hog sat heavily on his Harley. Linda sat on the back, strapped down with several bindings. Making final checks, he finally finished with tying a shotgun to the handlebars with some twine. Fully happy with his newly modded weapon of vehicular slaughter he surveyed the room. People were getting ready for the end. That much was clear. Final handshakes, hugs, kisses. It was all going down. He felt strange, it felt like he had a heightened sense of things, and on top of that, he had a lump rising in his throat. He knew he was never going to see these people again. Death had always hit him hard, and it hurt him to know that people here, people he had shared his life with, they were going to be gone from his life, forever. Staring at the floor dejectedly, he failed to notice someone walk up next to him.
“Any space on that Bike with me?”
Hog looked up from his reveree and into the eyes of Keira. She was smiling, and looking slightly awkward. Hog grinned. Things were going to be alright.
“Not for you, Keira. People on bikes aren’t making it out of here, and I am going to make sure no rotten hands are gonna be grabbing you any time soon. “He said, regretting it, but knowing what he was saying was what he felt in his heart. It emboldened him.
“Whilst we drive through, I’ll be happy to know that you’re safe in the Van. No questions, it’ll put me at ease.”
Keira seemed to nod, but something seemed unconvincing about her backing down. Keira turned and walked over to Medicine Man. Hog watched her go, sighed, and looked back at the ground. A second later he stared back at the floor, and listened to the beating of hands against the Garage door. A great weight was lifted off the back of his Bike, and he span round to see Keira holding ‘Linda’ in her arms like a baby, her face set with an image of grim determination.
Hog grinned like an idiot.
“Sorry Linda, but he’s mine now.” Keira said, sitting onto the back of the bike.
The Mg42’s ammo feed seemed to stare at Hog accusingly.
“Sorry Linda, but Keira has spoken.”
Keira smiled, and placed Linda on the floor carefully.
“I’d rather die with you, than live without.” She said simply.
Mixed emotions came up from this. Keira was still reeling from Tom’s death, but, well, if he hadn’t become one of the undead, he’d have wanted her to find love.
“ ‘S almost poetic.” Hog mumbled, completely blindsided.
Keira laughed softly.
“If we get out of this, I’ll get it tattooed onto my arm for you.”
Hog cackled.
“My kinda affection. I don’t need roses for someone to tell me they love me.”
“Hey!!..Hey you mother fether!! what do you think your doing!!" shouted Halon
OOC: If you disagree with this let me know ASAP so I can fix it ASAP.
Halon shoved pass the two biker girls he had been talking to to chase after Phoenix. What Phoenix had on mind was definitely unknown.
Halon chased Phoenix out of the garage and saw him open the front door.
Phoenix looked out of the door towards the hummers speeding away with his daughter before he felt very warm around his stomach.
Phoenix collapsed to one knee, his vision now obscured by the oncoming zombie hoard.
"Stupid fether." Halon thought to himself as he shot Phoenix in the back of the head, showering the front steps and som of the doorway in blood, brain, and skull fragments.
Somewhere in the distance a daughter had just become an orphan for real. Somewhere she had seen her father open the door and collapse only to get swallowed up by the mass of undead converging on the now open door.
Halon ran forward to shut the door, luckily Phoenix had fallen forwards and allowed Halon to shut the door before the zombies could begin to come in through the new entrance. He fired some shots at the zombies who had managed to finally reach the window. He sprinted to the garage's side door and shut it quickly.
"We need to go, NOW!" Halon said as the first zombie had hit the side door and the front door had given way to those that had not stopped to munch on Phoenix's still fresh corpse.
Halon jumped into the armored limo and stood up in the back to mount the machine gun attached to the roof.
"Let's go!" Halon yelled and trained the machine gun on the side door.
"WeEEeEll," Whined Bonzo, making a mockery of a policeman "WhAt dO We AvE ErE?" He said to Halon, grinning from ear to ear, eyes glittering (But not in a weird Twilight vampire way.)
"What? Needed to be done, enough said."
"HeHAhAHEHA! I NeVer LiKKEd ThAT FEEETHER AnYWaY!" Said Bonzo, his voice cracking slightly as he practically vibrated with excitement and clapped Halon on the back rather enthusiastically.
"Hey, boss we're finished" Came from the rear of the garage, Dirty Dave popped his head out from a temporary shelter, hiding whatever he'd been working on, evidently Bonzo had made rather an impression on his little group of bikers. "Come and have a look" He added, grinning even wider.
Bonzo, with a look of mad delight crossing his face, made his way to the shelter. When he reached it and saw what was underneath, all that could be heard from behind was a cackle; loud, mad and definitely Bonzo. Or was it? As it went on, another voice seemed to add to it, then another, and another!
"AnD HErE We GO!" Shouted Bonzo, ripping down the shelter with some gusto, revealing what was behind it. It was evident that he had been making merry with some paint they had been supplied. Dirty Dave, Pup and Collette all now looked as mad as Bonzo, not so much as they didn't quite have that.... complete madness about them, but they certainly looked the part.
When the eyes of the onlookers tore themselves away from the grinning gang, they noticed what had been being worked on. It was a beauty, a bike, more than a bike, a work of "ART!" Shouted Bonzo, "THIS IS WHAT ART SHOULD BE!"
It was a mirage of colours, a huge plough had been attached onto the front mudguard, stylised with a giant smiley face and what looked like two machine guns poked out of the corners of it, triggers attached to pads on the foot well.
"Like it then do we boss?" Asked Dirty Dave, grinning almost as much as the ecstatic clown.
"LiKe It? I LOVE IT!" Screamed Bonzo, jumping into the saddle. Gunning the motor. "TImE FoR A TeST DrIVe BoYS!"
The other three mounted their bikes, gunning their motors loudly, producing a cacophony of engine noise.
Bonzo hit the triggers beneath his feet and the guns opened fire on the doors, he added to this salvo with his Uzis and stopped when the door was sufficiently riddled with holes in a archway in front of him.
"BEeN NIcE KnOWIng You! BuT I'm OfF tO JoIn tHE CirCUS!" Shouted Bonzo above the noise and lurched forward on his bike, increasing speed as he made his way, startlingly fast towards the door, saluting Tombstone as he went past, grinning like the maniac he was. He crashed into the weakened door and the reinforced front made little work of the door, smashing through it, gutting zombies as he sped out down the driveway.
The others three, smiling at each other as they followed their newly found leader into the relative unknown yet sure to be fun, violent, filled future, through the makeshift door, gunning down the remaining zombies on the drive as they went.
All that could be heard from the newly departed group was a loud, manic chuckle, content if it could be called anything and the occcasional chatter of gunfire, growing slowly distant as Bonzo rode out with his newly found clowns.
HEHEAHHAHAHA HEAHAHEHAHE HEHEHAHEHAHE HEHEAHEHAHE
OOC - If anyone wants me to change anything with that, I'm all to happy to, but if you need any clarity, we've basically cleared out the drive of imminent threat, it also leaves me open for my character to return later, with his little, and also slightly deranged but violently happy biker gang. ^^
Well done,Phoenix died on his knees just like he should have...
@ GUO.
Nice,a bit OTT...but hey that's Bonzo for you...and now Puppy,Dirty Dave and Brains (who I'm going to assume was one of the biker girls since all the male bikers had been accounted for) are now happily roaring about the country side spreading mayhem and fun as they go.
Thanks man, If she's a biker girl, I'll change the name quick ;D But I enjoy writing kinda OTT endings..... I can't wait to see what your character does. ^^
Shadow pulled himself from under the pickup and lowered the vehicle before removing the Jack. He stood back to admire his work. He'd noticed this pickup, the supplies on the back and the burst tire. It wasn't hard to put the three things together. So while everyone had been running around, shooting guns or whatever the hell they'd been up to, he'd changed the tire. He'd managed to locate a Jack in a corner of the garage and there had been a spare tire under the back of the vehicle.
"Whatcha doing?" Came a familiar voice from behind him. Shadow spun round, to see the man he felt like he knew but couldn't remember. Infact, he really couldn't remember anything past the last ten minutes at all.
"Nothing, I just finished changing the tire on this thing," he replied.
"Great," was all the biker said - he seemed thoroughly relieved, "nice one buddy!"
"Cheers, Tomb."
"What?" Exclaimed the biker, suddenly adopting a new expression of surprise and extreme interest.
"What?"
"What did you just say?"
"I just said what."
"Before that. You called me Tomb. How d'you know that? I thought you couldn't remember anything."
"I can't. I don't. Infact I'm pretty sure I didn't call you anything," Shadow declared, although he wasn't at all sure.
"We have to go!" Came an order from someone. Instinctively, Shadow, Tombstone, Daisy and a few others jumped into the pickup, Tombstone driving.
"Let's roll!" Grinned Tombstone.
When everyone who wanted to be was aboard, the engine growled to life and they were outta there....
I like what your going for.particularly like the "moment of clarity" Shadow has...but...I do have two points I'd like to bring up concerning your RP.
The first would be concerning the pick up truck, and this one isn't a big thing...if you recall Waaaaaay back when our little group was at Shadows fortress,Halon got a little trigger happy with the Gatling gun and shot out a tire on the truck...which Tombstone later replaced with the spare.
Now of course being an off road pick up truck, perhaps it was equipped with multiple spares...or maybe the previous owner was just very paranoid about flat tires...anyway, no big thing.
The second thing....in my last RP I wrote this...
Tombstone ran his hands up her long legs and hugged her around the waist " You just remember what I taught you...keep blasting those things until were clear and on the road." the biker smiled. ....."
So... clearly Tombstone and Daisy plan to ride out on Tombstones newly acquired motor cycle and wouldn't be climbing aboard into the pick up truck.
I'm definitely not trying to knock what you've written, but I've got my own designs for Tombstone and Daisys exit from the mansion.
OOC: No problem Dark,I'm going to be writing up Tombstones exit tonight, you can go back and change what ever you feel you'd like to at your convenience.
Tombstones head spun trying to take everything in,he had run with Halon attempting to catch Phoenix and watched..with a great deal of satisfaction as Halon fired two rounds through the sorry bastard, leaving Phoenix to be devoured by a host of the walking dead.
As he returned to the garage,Tombstone watched near dumbstruck as Bonzo along with Dirty Dave,Puppy and a young girl named Collette, roaring out of a pulverized front door laughing like maniacs.
" We need to go!! NOW!!" Halon shouted,as more zombies began making their way towards the huge hole in the garage door, more were pounding on the side door and it sounded as though some of the ghouls had entered the main house.
" Yep" Tombstone thought " definitely time to get the feth on the road"
Tombstone dove onto his newly acquired Bike and kicked the engine to life,Daisy was quickly climbing on behind him, yanking the bolt on her MP5 " I'm with you babe!" she yelled from behind him wrapping her legs tightly around him.
The biker glanced to his side,One Eye was reving the engine of his bike,a roar of automatic weapons fire filled the garage as the pretty blond ridding with him leveled her weapon and sent a burst towards the zombies now filling the hole in the garage door.
" Get the door open!!" Tombstone bellowed, adding supporting fire to the pretty blonde's.
Spanky hit the switch on the automatic door opener and a mechanical whine filled the garage.
" Get ready!!" Halon yelled as the door slid open revealing a small army of ghouls outside.
Another deafening roar filled the garage as Halon unleashed a hail of fire from the mini gun into the horde of zombies.
" Go!! GO!!" One Eye yelled gunning the engine of his bike and tearing off from the garage.
The Limo followed quickly, smashing through a wall of zombies, smashing a bloody pathway through them.
Tombstone glanced behind him, seeing Shadow firing at the ghouls and climbing into the pick up " Follow us Bro!!" he yelled at Shadow.
Tombstone roared from the garage, the rear wheel of his bike skidding slightly in what looked like the torso of one of the zombies Halon had gunned down.
The biker regained control with ease and gunned it for the main street,Daisy dropping zombies as they grasped at her and Tombstone with well placed fire from her weapon.
From behind them..they heard the scream, Spanky had spun out and laid his bike down,he had been frantically trying to right it when a grasping zombie took Donna down.
The young woman screamed as dozens of ghouls tore the flesh from her body with their rotten teeth.
" Donna ...NO!!" Spanky screamed as he charged to save his girlfriend, the horde swallowed him.
" FETH!!" Tombstone bellowed " GOD DAMN IT!!"
For a moment, the biker felt the urge to stand and fight, but he knew this would mean a similar death for him and Daisy...he wouldn't allow that.
The pick up truck smashed from the garage, scattering ghouls in every direction, the truck skidded and took off.
" Baby!! GO!!" Daisy screamed as several zombies closed on the bike.
Tombstone raised his MP5 and fired into the lead ghouls face, scattering brain and shattered skull across the yard.
With a quick glance behind him he saw the truck head in the opposite direction.
" Feth" he whispered, and gunned the engine, the big motor cycle roared off,Daisy firing a salvo to clear the way.
The Garage door opened up, revealing the hordes of undead behind, and the staccato of fire erupted into the legions. Bikes revving, the party erupted from within the garage, guns blazing, and with cries of hatred upon their lips. Positioned at the back of the convoy Hog and Keira were the last pair to leave the safety of the house. As the began to speed towards the exit, a pair of bikers, Spanky and his girl, went down under a tide of undead. Hog wrenched the Bike round in a circle, the garage door now filling with a tide of the hungry dead.
"Keira blow the side door off now"" Hog roared, firing the mounted shotgun at a ghoulish creature with no lower jaw. As their bike screamed across the asphalt floor towards the door, Keira levelled her rifle and fired. The bullet took the door's handle, and most of the surrounding wood with it. Hog gunned the engine, and began to lift into a wheelie. The front wheel slammed the door open, sending an adventurous ghoul to an early grave at the hands of a splintering plank of wood.
Inside the house now, things became alot more difficult. Not only was the furniture, and the detritus of battle making the floors treacherous for the bikes wheels, but now, with the front door open, a veritable horde of ghouls were staggering through the house. Squeezing the shotgun at every possible moment he didnt have to grip the handlebars to stop the bike from falling, Hog ploughed through the house. Room after room blurred past, and zombies were a flash of grey and red as the screamed past. Keira swung her Barret round, smashing a ghoul wearing what, if given another look, must have been a squirrel costume, to the floor.
"Hog, take a left, the hole in the wall! Go for it!" Keira screamed.
A zombie had almost grabbed her off the bike.
Hog nodded, and followed the directions.
A hole blown through the wall of the house had been hastily boarded up, but the Bike was going far too fast to slow now. Zombies were thinning out now, most had headed straight for the garage, but a few had lingered around in other rooms. However, Hog and Keira had a straight run at the hole. But it was going to hurt.
A lone zombie staggered around the empty back garden. No other zombies had come this way, after all, why sneak round the back when you could swarm the front? The ghoul stopped nearby a flowerpot, and idly nudged it with it's foot. You could never know about the living, they were damn good at hiding. A distant roar seemed to be getting closer, and the zombie cocked its head to listen to the noise.
Hog slammed into the wooden barricade with the force of a ten ton bull. Timber, and chunks of plaster reigned through the exit hole as the Bike erupted into the back garden, and blazed across the lawn. Keira let out a cry of pain, which made hog look round. A splinter had slashed across her face, leaving a bloody whelt from her forehead, down to her cheekbone.
"F*ck, are you ok?!" he yelled as he ploughed over the immaculately kept turf. Keira nodded bitterly, wiping blood out of her eye. The bike roared away across the lawn and onto a dirt track leading off into the woodland.
The ghoul dragged itself back to it's feet. A 4ft lump of wood protruded from its chest, and made the ghoul decidedly unbalanced. After falling over twice, the ghoul decided on lying on the floor for the time being, until a delectable ankle walked past.
Until Silver is ready to take up the mantle again, i believe we'll be waiting politely, and definitely not PMing him every other day.
Yes..I agree,I definitely don't want to bother Silver concerning the start of a new RP...even if I really really really want to. ,besides,I think we all need to do a bit of thinking as to what our characters might have gotten up to....even though I already have a head full of ideas.
I do have a sort of " epilogue" for Tombstone that I'll be adding to this RP shortly, which will be a sort of segway into the next RP.
Tombstone gunned the powerful engine of his bike harder, glancing occasionally into the rear view mirrors.
They had left the carnage at the mansion behind some twenty minutes ago,and apparently out run the horde of walking dead,unfortunately..they seemed to have outrun everyone else as well.
Only One Eye,with his pretty blond seat cover, was visible, ridding slightly ahead of he and Daisy.
The road appeared clear of any immediate threats, and Tombstone flashed the bikes headlight signaling for One Eye to pull to the side for a moment.
Idling up alongside of his friends bike,Tombstone spoke quickly.
" Where in the feth is everyone else?!!" the biker said.
" I don't know Stone" One Eye replied " After we made it out..I didn't even look back...just kept hauling ass" the old biker laughed " I didn't even see you until about ten minutes ago."
Tombstone nodded " Spankys gone...those fething things got him..Donna too."
One Eye lowered his head for a moment, then looked up "Puppy and Dave took off with your clown buddy, had one of the girls with 'em as well...but who knows where they got off to."
Tombstone shrugged " I don't know man..gak was crazy back there...I know Shadow was in the truck...don't know who else was with him...he was heading the opposite way last time I saw him...I figured he'd circle round...but" Tombstone trailed off.
One Eye nodded " What about The Medicine Man?..and the rest of your friends?...what about the girls?"
Tombstone shrugged " Hog was with Keria...but I don't know if they made it out..Halon was in the Limo...some of the girls were with him...I think...I know he crashed out of the garage...but after that I lost sight of them..and I don't know about The Medicine Man..or the rest."
Low moaning came drifting from the distant tree line, the small group glanced in the direction of the sounds.
About 100 yards away,a dozen ghouls were emerging from the woods.
" Feth...we got to get moving Stone" One Eye said " there's gonna be more of them fethers coming along soon as they smell us."
Tombstone nodded...One Eye was right...they had to keep moving.
" How much further to this commune of yours?" One Eye asked Daisy.
" About 30 miles...maybe more" she said " There's a small town...well,more like a few streets with a few stores and houses..about 10 miles up ahead."
Tombstone nodded " We'll have to make a quick hit and run in the town...get some food and supplies...then haul ass for the commune." the biker looked behind him, hopping for some sign of the others...there was none.
" Let's ride Stone." One Eye said " we can't just sit here...hopefully the others will find their way to us."
Tombstone nodded, cursing under his breath,he reved his engine and the big bike headed up the road,One Eye following behind.
Tombstone checked his rear view mirror one last time...the zombies from the woods had made it to the road, they stumbled about..seemingly frustrated at the fact the anticipated meal had disappeared...but that was all,no sign of anyone else...the road lay empty.
Tombstone shook his head, thinking about his missing friends " Let them fething make it." he prayed.
He gunned the Harleys engine and roared forward ...a long empty road looming before him.
OOC:...Well guys, that's it for old Tombstone until the next RP...
I've really enjoyed RPing with each and every one of you guys,it's been a hell of a ride and I'm definitely looking forward to doing it again in the future.
...Until then..be careful out there..and don't let the zombies bite.
About 10 minutes down the road Hog slowed his bike down. They hadn't seen any zombies since the exodus, and they were feeling wary. But they had to stop, Keira's face was bleeding profusely, and she had stopped being able to see out of her left eye a couple of minutes ago.
Skidding to a stop, Hog dismounted and began to rumage through the medkit. He pulled out some bandages to staunch the bleeding, a pin and some thread. He turned and took a look at Keira's face. It wasn't looking good. Half her face was ok, but the left had a deep rip down it, and blood was dribbling profusely. Her left eye had gone a milky white, and wept pus.
"gak." he swore.
Keira looked up and focused on him with her good eye.
"How bad does it look?"
Hog smiled weakly.
"Truths? It looks like your gonna be the next phantom of the opera."
Keira's shoulders began to shake, and amongst the blood and pus, tears of horror began to mingle in the wound.
"No no, it'll be ok. You can fix it up, and i'll help. Lying around watching Medicine Man meant I picked up a few tricks. Now, I'm gonna douse the wound with some antiseptic, and Im sure you know its gonna hurt. Sorry."
As Tomb's group began to set off, a distant scream of pain erupted across the treeline, sending sleeping brids scattering away.
"Ah sh*t, that sounded like Keira." he swore.
Hog held Keira's arms still to prevent her from pawing the wound. Her agony was clear, and he had no real idea what to do to stop her. Eventually the screaming had subsided, and Hog started to clean out the gunk that was forming in the recesses. Dropping the filthy bandage, he took up the needle and thread, and began to stitch. Keira was whimpering, but knew the work Hog was trying to achieve was delicate at best, so she stayed still. Hog was all thumbs, and repeatedly dropped the needle as he fumbled with the injury, but eventually, after what felt like hours, the wound had been closed. Bandaging as best he could, he examined his handiwork. Not acceptable, but the stitches would hold until they could get somewhere better.
A lone zombie half ran into the road ahead, and turned its obscene features in their direction.
"Oh, F*ck off, cant you see we're busy?!" bellowed as it lumbered towards them.
A rifle shot ripped it in two, and a shotgun shell mashed it's face into the floor. A bike roared through the mulch and down the road. As Keira stared at the photo she held in her hand, of her and Tom, she let out a small sigh, and let the photo flutter out of her hands and into the wind.
The little Photo flew through the air, held up by the eddies of wind, until it landed neatly on the cracked dirt, amongst the dried leaves of autumn.
OOC: That's me out until everyone comes to a close, then i'll write a brief epilogue, to do with Jennifer, and tying in good ol' Patrick (that was his name, right?!)
"For feth's sake..." Halon said to himself realizing that the others were nowhere to be seen.
He climbed into the limo where he saw two biker girls and a guy.
"That's Mace, that's Ginger, and that's Linda..." Halon thought to himself trying to get the names and faces right as he inched slowly up to the driver, Tony.
"Listen man, we're lost." Tony said to Halon.
"Yeah, I know that..." Halon began "I know some things though, good things for us so listen up."
Tony glanced at Halon almost with glee.
"There's an air base past the city, there's an armory there; food, guns, ammo..." Halon was cut off.
"Beer?" asked Mace hopefully.
"None of that, sorry, its a military base though so there may be a package store on base." Halon continued. "We go there, load up on whatever catches our fancy like maybe something with 4X4 on it and then find a place to wait this out."
"Wait it out?" one of the girls said from the back.
"Yeah, I saw a nice hotel down the road if its clear of zombies we can use it." Halon said getting excited "Yeah, we'll find a building, take the ground level stairs out of it, put a wall around it, and wait a couple of months to see what happens."
Some of the group looked at Halon funny, but he didn't care. It was a good idea and one that was difficult, but possible to obtain.
"It'll be like Tenpenny Tower in Fallout," Halon thought " it'll be awesome though, nice landmark, easy to defend, rallying survivors, OH MAN IT'LL BE THE COOLEST!"
All the others knew was that Halon had the widest smile on his face as he looked out the windows and into the wasteland that may become his.
OOC: And with that Halon is set for new adventures and maybe profit.
Bonzo was having the time of his life, a clear trail was left as a clue to where their merry band had gone.... unluckily it just so happened to be the opposite direction everyone had gone, he had gone towards the city. This trail consisted of blood, more blood with an extra special helping of blood ala brains on toast, in his eyes he was merely making up for lost time from when he was cooped up inside that house for so damn long.
His all to happy accomplices in this zombie homicide whooped and grinned wildly, Collette's hair streaming in the wind as she gunned her engine even harder and pulled her trigger even harder still.
yEs, Bonzo thought, he was going to enjoy this. It was only until later, when they really had no energy left and were near enough forced to make up camp for the night in an abandoned liqueur shop that he realised there was a lack of... well, nearly everybody. He thought to himself for a long time, after everyone had fallen into a vodka fuelled sleep and came to the conclusion that at some point, he was going to have to try and find his seemingly missing comrades.
I mean, this whole rampaging biker gang was good for the time being, but from past experience he knew that trouble seemed to have followed whenever the rest of the group were near, especially that Shadow guy.... And trouble, was what he thrived on. Although, there didn't seem to be much harm in having a little fun in the city before he set out on this task.
Armed with this insuring piece of clarity, he took one last sip of vodka and fell asleep. Safe in the knowledge that the next day could very well be his last, and so could the one after and the one after that, and that thrilled the feth out of him.
OOC - Well guys, that's been awesome, I've thoroughly enjoyed that and look forward in anticipation to the next RP, well then, until next time guys, toodle pip!
OOC: I take it he's in the first city, right? Because there's no other the city.
Well, 'ere goes nothing..
BIC:
He kept on driving. After awhile, roughly ten miles, he found himself in a small town. As he was driving into it, he wondered who he was. What had some of them called him? Shadow? That's one weird name.. but there's so much I can only speculate at. Infact, I don't even know what the hell is going on here! Everywhere's trashed.. and those.. things.. just..just what the hell?. Soon, he arrived at the scene of some spectacular crash. What looked like an armored vehicle had been turned on its head and had holes and dents all over it. A sound came from within - mewling. Cats?. He pulled over, and got out - pulling out a pistol and checking it was loaded. Full clip. Good. Never know, it could be zombie cats. He cautiously approached the wreck, walking around to the back of it to see a gaping gap where doors should have been. As he advanced closer, he noticed these lying useless on the ground nearby - as if discarded. What kind of drugged-up mother-fether could discard heavily armored metal doors?
He climped inside, and to his horror he found two mutilated corpses - practically children - lying there, strapped in upside down in seats. He then found the source of the mewling - two animal carrying boxes, and inside each, a single cat. He opened the first, but the animal inside lay with its neck twisted into an unnatural position. Well snap, he thought. When he opened up the second one, of which contained a noisy, but still very much alive cat. Atleast this creature isn't after my guts.. It took some time, but when Shadow outstretched is arm, the cat sniffed his hand quizzically, and suddenly it leaped out and into his arms. Recovering swiftly from his surprise, Shadow held the animal tightly until it settled down. It licked him on the cheek. "Have we met before?" He joked, although he didn't know how right he was.
After placing the cat in the truck's cab, Shadow set about salvaging what he could from the upturned vehicle. There were three crates of pre-made meals and war rations, which he hauled into the rear seats in the cab, and more guns than he could shake a stick at. There were some books in a box as well. He picked one up curiously, and looked at it. On the front was printed the word Diary. He opened it, and on the inside there was a name written upon the space that followed the this Diary belongs to ____ sentence. He froze. His brain overwhelmed at the shock of what he had just discovered, all he could do was stare at the name written on the page. Shadow.
OOC: I'm guessing Bonzo is in the city (Cape City),located about 20 miles East of the Satans Servants mansion,as the only other city, the one North West of Shadows fortress, is now a radioactive wasteland.
Anyway...nice RP Dark, I like the diary idea...Shadow..meet Shadow.
He ran until his sides hurt and he collapsed with a dull thud onto the wet Forrest floor panting heavily. He reached up and brushed the warm, sticky blood that was flowing from a dent on the side of his head.
That would explain why everything is fuzzy and I can't remember much he thought to himself.
He looked at his hand and his gaze followed up his arm over his now torn and burned uniform. He reached down and felt to his dismay, an empty holster. After a quick search he realised that the only weapon he had on him, was his lone hand grenade that was still firmly secured to his uniform on his chest.
Jesus, what the hell happened to me... and where is everyone else?
Standing up, his body moaning in protest, he looked around the Forrest trying to figure out just where the hell he was. Off in the distance, he could hear the distinct sound of motorcycles as they passed by and faded into the distance.
Saunders started to walk at a brisk pace toward them. He was hoping that he would possibly find other people and get some help. Instead however, he ran into them.
The first infected that he came across was wearing the dirty remains of a back wood county police uniform. Saunders made quick work of him as he felt his neck snap between his gloved hands. He quickly relieved the corpse of his duty pistol and several magazines. Glocks were not his cup of tea, mainly being the fact that in his eyes they were the worlds ugliest pistol, but right now he couldn't care less.
He fired as he moved toward what he hoped was a road. The pistol bucked in his hand as round after round founds its mark in soft, decaying flesh sending bile spraying upon impact.
Where in the hell are they coming from?!? he thought as the infected seemed to literally be coming out of the woodwork.
With a sudden burst of light, Saunders stumbled onto the asphalt of the road. He quickly looked around and didn't see any of the creatures around him. He let his half spent mag slip from his pistol and he slapped a fresh, full mag home.
Off in the distance, he could see a group of people riding what looked to be motorcycles sitting on the side of the road.
He raised his arms and was about to start shouting at the top of his lungs when the hard blacktop seemed to suddenly rise up and meet his face hard. For a few moments he lay there bleeding from his now smashed nose. He felt something gripping his ankle and he looked back to his horror and saw what looked to be some kind of slimy tentacle wrapped around him and leading off into the shadows in the Forrest.
Something deep and phlegmy growled in the not so distant distance.
"Oh shi....."
And he screamed as he was dragged against his will into the Forrest underbrush. Screams could be heard for several seconds, even over the sound of the glock being fired.
And then...
Silence.
**(OOC)**
It was fun Rp'ing with you all, and I look forward to another.
A trio of black hummers drove down a road in the twilight. Inside the middle vehicle of the convoy, a horrible silence had washed over the passengers. Jennifer stared at the floor, here eyes red from crying. The men in the vehicle sat either side of her, staring anywhere but her. They had seen Phoenix go down amongst the zombies, and as much as they had tried to prevent it, so had Jennifer. Abruptly, Jennifer wiped her tears away and stared coldly at each person in the vehicle.
"I want Tombstone dead. And his compatriots. I don't care how long it takes. But I want them dead. Understand?"
A chorus of mumbled agreements filled the vehicle.
"But Halon. He's mine."
The convoy sped through the night for several hours, dodging areas of concentrated undead population, until, against all odds, they ended up in front of a house. It was large, and the signs of an extreme struggle were evident. Windows smashed, and boarded up, blood stains, a pile of mulched zombies three feet deep. Shadows fortress.
Jennifer daintily stepped out of the vehicle, and took the carnage in, as her men secured the area.
Amongst the detritus, Jennifer found a bag. Not very large, and assumed to be rubbish by the survivors at the time. How wrong they could be. Patrick's bag lay discarded, and half filled with grenades. Idly rummaging through it, her hand knocked something glass, and oddly warm. A smile flickered across her face.
A vial of infected blood was now procured. And Jennifer was going to have her revenge.
Epilogue
The infection didn't last long. Extreme weather conditions, and the rate of decomposition that the undead experienced meant that by the following summer after the initial outbreak, the infection was all but eradicated. A form of control was being taken back worldwide as the survivors of the planets worst holocaust emerged, blinking into the light of a new dawn.
Russia, who had fended off the infection with deadly prejudice began to make preparations for a worldwide rescue attempt, to find survivors, and help rebuild civilisation. Things were going to go slowly, but things were only going to get better.
OOC: There you go folks. We now have an evil villain, an obvious way to start a sequel, and benevolent Russians. What more can you ask for?! Until next time folks, stay safe, and aim for the head.
She not only stole your party house...she now has access to the endless bounty of "shooty stuff" you had stashed there.
@ ghosty.
Nicely done my friend,but...I do have one quick question.
Does the " infection being all but eradicated" mean we will be having a "zombie-less" sequel???
No. It means we have a devestated country with widespread looting, much damage, many dead, thousands of zombies, Shadow, a maniac clown permanently on crack and the evil biaatch out there now. Oh, and the Russians. Damned Russians..
Anyway, I might have to kill Jennifer page 1 of the next RP. I want ma party house back -_-
1. The main reason she went there, was to pick up the vial of blood. Did no one see that?!
2. So to answer the 'zombieless sequal' Think: re population. Think: Rehabilitation. Think: Reinfection...
3. Russia was the most suitable world power to take control, simply cos, america's been completely destroyed, England is too small for a full scale world protection attempt, and in all honesty, Russia would be brilliant at fending off the undead. Their enviroment would play against the undead terribly, with frostburn decimating the undeads motor functions within days. Not to mention they'd have no qualms with shooting recantly dead people in the head.
Oh man, Jennifer had super vision? Had I known that maybe Phoenix would be alive still... or not, but hey Halon's young and makes mistakes about killing Russian mafia... oh man, wasn't Jen and Phoenix Russian mafia? That doesn't bode well for us I think.
Although I welcome our new Russian overlords as long as I get to visit the Kubinka Tank Museum and only if, otherwise I'll get Charlie Sheen to defend my hotel.
