So the thign is, i had to stop playing and modelling for about 2 years because of my school. it took alot of time and energy, so i had no precious time to spare for my beloved chaos armies. At the moment i have a Nurgle army theat is about 2000 points. but i want to start a new army since the new edition is out. there are so many new models that were so much nicer and easier to work with. and i thought that i could not have two different editions entertwining with each other. So....I went to the store today and bought a few new thigns to add to my army. and a whole LOT of greenstuff

Have never made a nurgle armies with green stuff. so i hope this whoel idea of adding plague and so on works well

Havnt got that much to post yet, and i have always been a big fan of nurgle......so here is the start of what will eventually i hope be my pride in chaos

Pretty happy with my firest too terminators, could have done alot of things differently. i wanted to get the whoel haning belly thing going on. but it was abit too difficult to start with after such a logn break. overall im pretty happy with them. still have a lot of things to do on them, but i hope everything turns out good

its just around 9 oclock now. just had a bite to eat and a bit of a sleep, today i have in total finished the bodies of two terminators, and have basecoated the arms and have already actually managed to finish painting one and to experiment with color schemes. Unfortunatly i grew found of a tedious color scheme. Dont know how to get thw pictures in the rght order, aint too high tech, so you people are just gona have to deal with it XD

Yes it probably would be, but the thing is that here in singapore its really hard to get hold of plasticard, so all the time and money you spend on trying to find it pretty much makes it more expensive than greenstuff

Gs is actually really easy to get flat, it suprised me. well i just worked it into the actualy gs from the blue and yellow and then i tried to make it as flat as i could with my fingers. after that i stuck it to the base and i pulled the sides of the green stuff towards the base.i didnt do anything more, its really easy

been up all night to get this terminator finished, and it is getting there. not quiet done yet, but getting closer by the minute to finished

I prefer a nice livid red, covered in a gloss coat for my slime/ichor/growths. It complements the traditional green, and it makes me think about raw beef, which is gross. Your purple is a great color, but it makes me think "floral" rather than "ew. oh, hell no, don't touch me."

So now i have repainted the face on my first terminator. i decided to paint it red, why i dont know, for some reason im not using the "typical" nurgle colors for this army, but i enjoy trying to make them different and still trying to maintain that nurglish feel to them. but well see how it turns out. im pretty much finished with ym first model now, finished the skull hanging next to his balls and yes, like i said repainted the face. no pictures yet. will get them posted asap

I now have time to post some pictures of the repainted terminator and my second one that was finished. I am pretty happy wth the red faces, think they look ok, andi ts nice to get a challenga soemtimes and make thingd look nurgle without using to many of the actual (nurgle) colors, if you people now what i mean well here they are its really har to see on these pictures, but ive always had a problem painting horns and skulls and makethem look nice, i have to be honest, now that i have actualyl put some time into paintign the skulls im fairly happy with them, but thats not the point, the horns as most people see are missing from the faces, thing is that i tokk them off and make gas mask vents or whatever you call it where the horns are supposed to be, not that easy to see on the pictures but thats the way it is people

At the moment ive got a squad of chaos space marines and a rhino as transport, a squad of possesed. i also have a few other already paitned death guard models, i have a rhino, typhus and 2 squads of death guard,and a death guard havoc squad(you probably know what i mean) i think im gonna repaint the rhino and one of the squads, not too sure about the havocs though, just dont like the models at all, bought them in a desperate state of mind just really needed soemthing to paint. I have now finished the hull of the rhino. almost atleast, got a fairly nice idea, dont know where ive seen it. or if it just popped into my mind, but either way, i like it, it was putting a few faces or skulls on the front of the rhino and then put plague around it here you go, feel free to comment people

Havnt posted anything for like the psat two days been kinda busy, well either way, ive been of to the store too buy som cork sheet and some water effects liquid thingymajigg stuff to be able to model the bases, so far ive modelled the terminators and right now im lettign the water effects dry and then also i have based the possesed, i really like how the possessed look, different from what i expected, but i like it Wanted them to look really wild so most of the models arnt standing on both feet. wanted the effect of them jumping from rock to rock in a hurry to get close and kill.

Havnt gotten that much painting done, just a slight little bit on the rhino and just the assembly of my demon prince, or atleast startign to pin the legs together and fill in the cracks in the torso and so on.

Hey really like the posing on these makes a model everyone does into something difrent cant wait to see witch way you go on nurgle stuff i can honestly say at the moment these are some of the best posssesd i have seen but you could easily ruin it with the wrong choice of bits

yeah i know, possessed are difficult, i didnt add any plague on them because, sicne they were already fairly demonic and all i though that it would probably just look bad with more stuff on them, but we'll see how the turn out

I have started to sculpt my chaos marines now, just nothing special just adding the hanging belly, never done this before, pretty damn happ with how it turned out

The paintjobs are good and clean and the purple/green contrast always looks great with nurgle. Keep up the good work!

So Today ive done a bit of everything. I rebased my havocs black so i could repaint them in my new color scheme, added trophies to 19 backpakcs( I think 19) and painted the base color for the possessed and have started to sculpt on my demon prince and my second rhino, so yeah, like i said abit of everything

models are looking amazing, great colour scheme.
also, not sure is its too late, but with the flat GS bases, all i did a while back was put a ball of GS on the base, then crush it with a flat piece of plastic (coat it in water or it will stick) that way it saves time, and it will be 100% flat all the time.

Everything is looking really good so far. I think the one thing I'd recommend the most is to give the drybrush work some washes. I really recommend these. I mix a green/black mixture of about 5:1 green to black. This gives a nice dark green coat and pulls the drybrushed colors together a bit. I do a straight brown wash after this but that's up to you. The bottles are huge for these and will easily last you for an entire army, so I really think they are worth trying.

Your greenstuff work is looking really good as well. The bellies on the CSMs are really cool.

Yeah i did putty on the backpack joints, i wanted to get wings on there are first, but then i thought that alot of people that play nurgle have some sort of wings on their demon prince so i decided to use the normal backpack thingies, then when i decided to put on the backpack, i got two of the same side so they didnt fit, and because i was to lazy to go back to the store and change for a new one i decided to let the creative juices flow and take over XD

Regarding your Rhino: Wow! Talk about a dramatic difference from sculpt to final! Love the extra track on the back. One of those little pro touches that really sets a model apart.

The rest of this is looking mighty fine as well. I like that you chose purple instead of standard red/green.

Why can't you use the Typhus model? If you don't want him as Typhus you can greenstuff him as required to create a Lord perhaps. I really like the armour colours and the bronze trim, but rather than "Harbingers of death and decay" that purple growth makes me think of your army as the poof patrol. Make it green or brown I reckon.

Edit: I'm sorry, but that CSM made me crack up laughing. I understand that you're trying to make it look like his guts are hanging out, but it looks like his you-know-whats are hanging out... maybe make it a little higher?

Either way enough of the crying but still assembled the arms for the last of my terminators now, and i put a deadline on them for tuesday, i hope this will be possible, not too sure yet, but it should work unless anything drastic happens and i have to chagne schedule. Started painting my terminator sorcerer aswell wanted him to stand out seeming he is a special character, so instead of the traditional green as the rest of my death guard are( atleast the common ones that is) but instead i wanted to use bleached bone to really make him visible, i have done the same thing to the shoulder pads of my terminator "leader dude" hahahahahXD

Finished color on my terminators today, so all i ahve to do now is to paint the plage and trim the armour and yeah detalis then i have a complete squad of terminatorsD

so yes, the deadline worked for me, i finished the termiantor squad and hav finisehd the body of my sorcerer, also i have started to paint the rest of my first squad, going good so far, will upload some pictures soon, computer is having problems, hahah!!!!

well either way,i was scrolling through some old pictures of my history and i found some really old emeperors children models, really like the color scheme, thinking of doing a slaanesh army alongside my nurgle to give me a little break from nurgle sometimes, this is most definitly neeededXD

JD, yes the pink is very bright and all, but it gives it a real nice touch actually if you see the actual model and not a picture, looks like brains popping out from the areas coated in the stuff.

And last but not least Matdragon, the wings are from the possessed box, you get a pair ofthese in there both pretty much the same, very simple but really cool




Btw just a note in general, im porbably gonig to be using my possessed as bits, dont really like the models and yeah thats sorta stupid for me buying it in the first place but ohj welll, got a ton of cool bits now

I do realise it has been AGES since i last posted anything, butnow my internet is working again so now i can yeah like i said update with some images.

Have finished my first terminator squad(almost, only repainting the faces) started terminator lord just coz i love the model so much XD and have magnetized his arms, so yeah i have to choose between every arm on the sprue now dependign on what i want to play with. i covnerted my typhus model to have him hold the little nurgling in a leash, doesnt look that great at the moment, porlly going to redo it. but i will keep the idea. Almost finished my 2 squads of plague marines, only things left to do is a few touch up things here and htere and also i have my new vindicator that the people down at the store call the "cum cannon" XD also have talked to cadaver and asked if it was ok if i used some of his ideas to incorporate to my models and he said it was ok ( thanksfor that Cadaver XD) so i used some ideas of his on my 2nd rhino and my second batch of termies Enjoy people

I think the legs should be pretty good, if you pad them out to much you run the risk of them joining up with the torso in on big blob.

If you're not looking for more Terminators then you might look at the Space Marine Strike Force - Same price but there's a Whirlwind which could make some sort of 'Virus Missile thingy' and seeing what you've done so far, you will probably be doing a heap of green stuffing anyway.
As long as you have a few spare spikey bits lying around (I've got like 15 sprues sitting in my cupboard for just an occasion.

Just a thought - If you would rather have the Termi's then go for the Chaos Renegade box.

So Finally i had the energy to come hoem and not just pass out because of rigby practice and actually have time to post some images

Ok so like i said, been busy lately, made the rugby team so there has been alot of tiem going into rugby and getting ready for our tripto hong kong and homework on top of that, either way. i have gotten soem work done i started painting three of my terminatosrs and all the arms for all 5 of them but only base colour yet so not much point in posting any pictures, im going to be re workign 2 obliterators Also, I have started to add demons to my army, i have at the moment finished( or closing in on beingfinished) plague bearers, another five coming up, and 4 nurgling bases although have only worked on two, have even started assembling the secong blister yet. Also i have ordered the chaos space marine renegade strike force so that will be coming in at the end ofthe month if i am lucky which i really hope it does, cant wait to get my hands on the defiler, have never hadmy own before going to be fun, seems like a fun project to work on

Hi Nurgle Fans

I have been busy all day with my nurglings and my plague bearers, i bought another blister of plague bearers and considering you get 10 nurglings in a blister, and i only use three nurglings on every base to represent the wounds, i had a whoel bunch over. so i found some spare 40 mm bases and popped a 3 one each of them so now in total i have 10 bases of nurgligns which i have been eagerly trying to get done today, that didnt really work, only have the base and teeth and eyes left to do, so i will finish them tomorrow, and as for the plague bearers, they will be doen soon aswell By Wednesday the latest Will be posting some pictures of the nurglings and the plaguebearers tomorrow to show my progress

Cant wait until i get the strike force Its going to be like christmasXD

I'm curious, how did you do the slime on the nurglings' bases? It's a nice level of foul, and doesn't look like you had to do any reconstruction of the base itself as flocking gel often requires.

The Slime on the bases is the GW Watereffects on top of a layer of dark green, i use catachan green. I have to admit it is REALLLLLLLYYYYY expensive, but the thign is that i have used it for every model i have on this blog and quiet a few more and i cant tell that i have used the bottle coz it still looks new. Not much is missing from it, basically what i am trying to say is that it is very lasting and i find it to be worth the money, ofcourse like almost everything in the mdoeliing business there is always a cheaper alternative that is just as good

What is that you mean with reconstruction of the base though??? :S i dont really get that

oh, for a really good, convincing water effect with flocking gel, you need to basically cut a hole in your base and put almost like a bucket section beneath it, to create actual 3d depth. this is generally only used when you want something submerged in the water, but flocking gel on a flat surface tends to (when I use it :( ) just make a bubble instead of flat looking water.

nah i dont do that it takes too long, an all you ahve to do is about 4 to 5 really think layers and then it is a few millimeters deep so if you put soemthing there it looks like it is submerged in water, so it evens out in the end thanks for explaining by the way

PS I love your nurgle colour scheme, nice and subtle zombie tones. I went for a little more variant plaguebearers, some dark brown, some whiter, some dark green, and so on. It didn't turn out as well as yours though

yeah you should fenitly true, i really recommend it, thats the only thing i have tried but yeah still like i said, i find it to be worth the money

I think however though that because most other demons being sold apart from flamers and what not from the tzeentch side i find that most of the plague bearers should be the same color, i find that it gives a uniform look to the army while still being diseased and full of plague and death.

So yeah your speaking of all ofthe nurgle stuff im guessingyour palying nurgle??????

so i have a few short updates, no pictures however, didnt want to take any prior to next, one of the reasons is because it takes alot of time and i dotn have that much to take pcitures and post them and so on

and also, i found out today thta my strike force will be arriving around wednesday next week so yeah im going have a great weekend next week

I have talekd to a cool guy down at the store that is selling his baneblade, so i will probably be byign this of him aswell to make a plague reaper sounds so good


And also i have bought a glass display case at ikea since my dad works there, nothing special but yeah, thats my short little update, either way i have also close to completed 3 terminators from my second batch and have started to model the last 2, went for the whole back covered n the champion, also i played my first game yesterday, and boy was it fun as ever. ( first game that is in 4 years )

Finally got soem tiem to post pictures of my latest creations. Unfortunatly the colors are a bit dark to show well, and also its 10 pm here now so the light aint good, but anyways, here goes

wow. just wow. you have made your rhino look just down right nasty(in a good way ) i love the way it is turning out so far, and I am looking forward to seeing more posts on this army. Spawn: the vents are custom made from plastic pipes basicaly. i got this idea from cadaver like i wrote earlier in the blog basically waht i did is make the the bottom of the vent itno the shape of the back of the termiantor, slightly hard to explain this, but the chaos termiantors havethe scores where yo uare meant to put the spikes if you want to, well i didnt so cut the palstic pipe into that shape at the bottom, do small slight scores at the top of vents, so that tehy look slightly like mushrooms, just a small V shape works fine, and then also i just used a lighter to melt the plastic around the v a bit, to make it look like its opening and more mushroom like

hi people, i was wondering if anybody had any ideas on soemthing i could use as vats on my plaguereaper, if possible things that shouldbe lyng around in most homes.

Hi everyone, Just a few picturs of my latest work. Bought a baneblade from a guy i know a few days ago. makinga palgue reaper out of it, this is it so far gongi to be adding some Vats full of goo later when i find soemthign i can use, and going to be spreading a few nurgligns around. also i have two of the last termiantors of my second squad. thats all for now

I saw a plague reaper done a lil diffrently but same concept. He used something to warp the cannon to look like a mouth and the vats looked like woofleballs or something but all in all I cant wait to see yours done.

The termie heads are nicely painted. Nice work overall. very nice greenstuff usage. Keep up the good work!!!
