I have even more Batman minis today, I seem to be really bashing these guys out for some reason.
First up is Deathstroke, really enjoyed painting his blues its not a colour I've really painted that much so was a nice change.
Then we have the Militia for the Scarecrow crew, wasn't so keen on these guys not really impressed with the models but they came out nicely I think in the end
I cant say I've painted camo before either, it didn't come out that well but will be fine!

Cheers Solar I really like how he came out
I should have Hush finished this weekend coming, just need to do his base.
I'm currently considering entering a Bolt Action tournament at the end of Jan but I don't have any models or rules at the moment, not sure if I will go ahead yet or not but if I do there will be loads of Germans coming soon. I've also ordered the new Chaos Space marine supplement which I'm really looking forward to, my CSM's will be good again totally amazing , might mean some more 40k minis at some point.
Lots on the list as well, I want to do a 30k army at some point as well prob either T Sons or Wolves or both I cant decide
Its quite odd I buy loads of minis for skirmish games but no one plays them in my area, I find the larger games are such a money eater as I only play a few times a year.

Lovely stuff, and good to see you've embraced the real leader of a Scarecrow crew although he's much better post- FAQ. Hush is ace, I usually run him with Ivy myself as she's a bit of fragile blossom (even if she does have the single most powerful Special ability in the game).
Move to Glasgow, we're skirmish-happy

And here he is Hush himself, not much going on with him in terms of colours I seem to be painting all the darker models recently apart from Ivy
On other news the new CSM Traitor Legion supplement is really cool, it got me building some Death Guard Raptors today so that cant be bad
They need a lot more work yet!
Not sure if the Bolt Action stuff will be going ahead now, I think I'm going to busy over Christmas and I'm really interested in bringing my CSM armies upto date now

---------------------------------
Ok so this will prob be my last update of the year, I hope you all had a good Christmas and got lots of new toys
I've managed to squeeze out a few more Batman minis before I go back to work tomorrow.
First is the lovely Talia Al Ghul
And then we have Killer Frost
And I also have a picture of all the Batman miniatures I've painted so far minus Batwoman as I gave her away!
The focus is a little off but you get the idea
There's still more to come, I've just finished two ninjas but wont have any daylight until next year to take pics now.
These are the remaining undercoated minis for Batman, this was taken before today though so you will have to mentally remove a few I've also got the Suicide box and Huntress but they require priming which is the bane of my life at winter.
So normally I do a what I've accomplished and new goals around this time of year but as some of you are aware this year as been and is still continuing to be a nightmare for me. So I'm totally skipping that part of the hobby! I'm only painting what takes my interest, I have no goals for armies old or new at the moment its just having stuff to paint to get me through. So without a plan I have now ended up with a most bizarre collection of primed minis to take me through the winter period
As I say I've got some more Batman minis as above and the I have whats in my primed box
Yeah I told you it was a bit random! So in there we have two fleets for Man o War Dark Elf and Nurgle, some Darklands minis mainly snake women, some Black Templars and some other random bits and bobs.
Then we have the stuff that doesn't fit in the box
Some pointy Wood Elves for my KoW army
Some big monsters for Darklands
And a very large FW dragon that I'll be using for KoW
Plus of course so many models to put together its scary
So there we go thats what I have to keep me going for the next few months until its warm enough to prime, then I'll get the rest of the Batman minis ready to paint.

Sorry long time without posting its nearly been two months , real life still sucks for me at the moment! Updates will be very sporadic for goodness how long!
But I have been dipping my brush every now and then and have quite a few things to show you today
First off Batman minis, I've finished a few more to add to my collection.
A couple of ninja's
And the very lovely Nyssa Al Ghul, pics aren't great for her!
Then we move on to the Death Guard Raptors these were so fun to paint, you cant go wrong with Nurgle
I was painting them to use in a tournament last weekend for my Death Guard army using the new Codex Traitor Legions which is class by the way lol, I didnt place but thats to be expected I did however walk away with best painted army
How cool is that! Got a little trophy and a gift certificate for £10
I also did some undercoating some when in the last few days, some more Batman minis undercoated ready for painting and some Dark Lands skeletons which I'll talk about in a minute. I think theres also Sara from Willy Miniatures for Blood Bowl, very cool mini!
So whats up next well, there's another Batman mini on my table who's nearly finished and will be in the next update which hopefully wont be another two months away . After that I'll be concentrating on my next project which is a Death army for Age of Sigmar which needs to be done for a tournament in June or July, I cant remember but never mind lol. So I'll be using a mix of Dark Lands and GW minis, no idea what I'm going to be using yet as I want to wait to see if the new generals handbook is out before then so I'm just going to paint everything I've got thats undead
I think I have the following
30 Spearmen (mix Dark Lands and GW)
2 Screaming Skull catapults
5 Black Knights
Neferata, Mortarch of Blood
Vampire on Zombie Dragon (will be using Elspeth on Carmine Dragon to represent this from FW)
I think thats it not sure what else I should pick up, the FW Mourngul looks interesting but that would be three monsters and there isn't a tournament pack out yet so I'm a bit unsure whether to pick him up at this time.
All ideas are welcome
Thats all I have for now, I'll hopefully be back soon!

--------------------------------------------
Back again with an update on what I've been doing in the world of modelling. I've mostly been in assemble mode, I'm signed up for an Age of Sigmar tournament in June so have been assembling an impressive hoard of undead!
I was planning on using Elspeth on Carmine dragon as my vampire on zombie dragon but shes not well! It appears the model is covered in release agent as all the primer started to come off, heres the poor girl not looking so hot after a rub down!
So I've emailed FW and they said to bathe her again and then spray with sealer and undercoat and spray with seal again and see how that goes!
Here's Elspeth having her bath
And after her final coat of sealer out and about enjoying the sun today!
She's in the window now taking advantage of the last of the afternoon sun, so we shall see how she fairs after that!
Assembling models is what I said I've been doing, lots of models and many more to go when the other half of my rambling horde arrives!
Here's the metals Batman Suicide Squad and more Darklands skeletons
The plastics
And the finecast! Theres another of these to assemble still, was a bit of a pain.
Oh I also have some painted models from Malifaux as well, This is Dr Grimwell from the starter set with his guys and nurse
Next up will be more assembling I'm afraid I've the other catapult and 40 skeletons to go, they all need to be painted by mid June so I say I should have enough time but you can never tell!
After that I might be going to an Infinity tournament so you might see some Nomads pop up every now and then to break the wall of undead, thats in June as well. I have a bring and play thing the local club is doing next month as well, i listed all the games I have armies for and of course I seem to attract the Xwing people , not to worry though as I picked up a striker the other day which I blame Graven for! Will be fun to try out I might try two they look pretty nifty.
I think thats all, lots of undead to look forwards too

Cheers Solar, dragon is now happy the under coat is staying on and I've started painting him.
Green grass, its all that rain we have
And here's my progress shot of Elspeth and her dragon.
My painting calculator says I have to paint 1 1/2 models a day for the next two months to have my AOS army ready on time, well I didn't finish one today!
I also have to paint models for an Infinity tournament which is before the AOS one, this is going to be a really tight deadline for me as I'm only painting half a day a week at the moment!

my one armed contemptor made it into the picture as well!, hes waiting for me to order a second arm from FW, that is the first mini for my 30k Thousand Sons army That project is a long way away really, waiting to see what happens with 8th edition first and you cant buy the latest FW book anyway as its out of stock awaiting a re-print!

Yeah sure is and I'm using the smallest paint brush
Yorkright wrote: Dragon is coming along nicely, whats your technique for the horns and scales on the back very realistic looking.
Thanks Yorkright
The horns and scales are painted using the feathering technique, lots of watered down thin strokes built up takes ages!
Colours all Vallejo
Base over black with Charred Brown
Then using feathering and watered down paints starting a bit further down the part you are painting for each colour change to give a gradual change in colour-
Mix 50/50 of charred brown and Heavy Goldbrown
Heavy Goldbrown
Mix 50/50 Heavy Goldbrown and Bonewhite
Bonewhite
Then sometimes I add some watered down black lines with Black!

Thanks Damo I'm really proud of the dragon, just managed to get the purple right. I was a bit daunted to be honest that I would get it right but I wasnt going to re-paint it thats for sure!.
CommissarKhaine wrote:Those black knights are looking pretty nice. Nice colour choice with the purple/bronze!
Thanks the whole army should look quite impressive when (if) its finished in time. I think I'm behind schedule already!
I should have another 10 skeletons done in the evenings this week plus the ones I did last week which are waiting to be photoed.
That leaves me a skull catapult and Neferata which should have been painted this month, next month is 50 skeleton warriors and another catapult! Oh and 200 points of Infinity Nomads. Of course this all depends if the place I ordered from actually posts the skeletons and Infinity models, they are being a pain!
Busy busy busy

I've been cranking out the undead since the last update, my painting area is covered in skeletons
My order of yet more skeletons is now on route so all is good although that does mean I have to paint them all, so much fun! They should be easy though GW skeletons don't have that much details (clothes)
So lets have a look at the new recruits
First up is a Screaming Skull Catapult
I've got another one of these to build, was lots more fun painting though
Then we have Neferata, Mortarch of Blood
And then we finish off with a ton of skeletons, the never ending horde, these are a mix from Darklands and GW.
Next up more skeletons (about 50!) another catapult and Krell
I think the Infinity stuff wont happen (even though I've ordered the models) as I have a commission coming in as well that needs to be done by July. I've been asked to paint another Carmne Dragon, seems people liked the last one!
This is the busiest I've been for painting in a long time....

The only reason is because I have to get them all painted by June for a tournament, I don't normally paint this quick!
Thanks
Anpu-adom wrote:Very nice... I just got the skeleton horde starter (though it feels very light on actual skeletons...) How do you like your 3rd party ones?
Yeah I felt it was a bit light on skeletons as well! I really like the Darklands skeletons, the sculpts are excellent and they are metal as well. If I had the choice and funds I'd just use Darklands skeletons.

Not had much chance to work on my undead horde recently due to real life issues again, one day my life will be back to normal!!!
I did get my supply drop though and have a ton of skeletons all still in their boxes though!
My estimate is that I'm a week behind schedule now, fun times....
Lots of goodness to be held
Hopefully I can get some of these guys assembled today, depends what happens as I'm off to see Katatonia (band) tonight.
I did manage to squeeze this guy out at some point last week, I didn't have any undead primed so just picked something out of my primed box.
This is a Wastrel from Malifaux
Quite a nice mini, the pic didn't come out too well but never mind!

Looks like my back log of minis to paint..
Pretty sure you will get those skeletons done in time, if you can paint up a skull catapult in a day a few skeles will be a drop in the bucket.
Wastrel looks good, your colors are bright and vibrant, I have a question though what did you use for the base? I like that sandy look.

I wish that was my backlog
The base was Vallejo sandy paste with a bit of cork painted up, I use sand paste on nearly all my bases!
-----------------------------------
Nothing painted to show this week but I do have all those skeletons assembled !
This is them waiting to be primed, with a few Sisters keeping an eye on them, to make sure they all go through the cleansing primer!
Theres one skeleton left that needs to be finished but he requires a GS whip so will be the last model for the army that I do as I hate using GS!.
So yep you will be seeing lots of skeletons over the rest of the month, they are GW ones so don't have many cloths on so should be quicker to paint, theres just a lot of them
The sisters are going to be for a Shadow War KIll Team my next project I think to be finished by July, the Infinity stuff just isnt going to happen, I seem to end up buying stuff and never using it!

Well so much for going on a painting spree, life has been rather poor again lately and I couldn't face painting again
But and there is a big but I managed to get a bit of mojo back last Sunday and a few evenings during the week and managed to bash out 44 more skeletons, painting line from hell they seemed like they would never end
This leaves me with a skull catapult, 6 crew, Krell and a skeleton dude I need to convert to have a whip to be done by the 24th, seems like loads of time but it all depends if I loose my mojo again or not. I will crack on today and see what I can accomplish!
The never ending dead!
Hopefully I might have something to show tomorrow!!!

Only two models left now of which I shall be starting Krell this afternoon!

You are smashing it. They look great for what seems like little effort so that is a huge plus. I can sympathise with the mojo waning. But hopefully you can keep going and be ready to get these bad boys on the table top.
It's going to look stunning all arrayed for battle.

Will do Yeah its good when you get into painting puts you in your own little world

And Krell is finished whoop whoop, one more model to go! I've decided to source a whip instead of going through the stress of making my own
All my pics look a bit rubbish at the moment not sure why that is.

Wow so its been 6 months since my last post! As you might have expected life hasn't quite gone to plan to say the least!
I split up with my partner after 19 years and moved out at the start of December.I'm in a much better place now at a friends, but that does mean I've gone from a house to a room to keep all my stuff!!!
So yeah I've been really busy but haven't had the chance to pick up my brush, I have a paint area all setup ready to go when I feel the mojo and have the time to start again. Haven't checked all my boxes of models for damages from moving too scared to do that at present
I've been keeping my eye on your blogs so haven't missed anything from that side. I've seen a lot of cool models been released as well over the last few months the new Great Unclean one looks awesome.
If you remember from when I last posted I was painting a Death army for a tournament, the good news is I completed it on time but I never went, life took a turn at that point which I haven't regretted.
So a bit of a recap from 2017 I wasn't expecting I had done much in the 6 months I was painting but I didn't do that bad I don't think.
So here we go
First up were some models for the Batman Miniature game
A squad of Nurgle Raptors, I also one a best painted award for my Death Guard army at a tournament
Back to Batman with Killer Croc
Some skeletons
Half of the Malifaux starter
Elspeth Von Draken from Forgeworld
Some Black Knights for Age of Sigmar
More skeletons
A screaming skull catapult
Neferata, Mortarch of Blood
More skeletons!!!
A Wastrel from Malifaux
Even more skeletons
My second Screaming skull catapult with both crews
And then there was Krell
Plus the last skeleton who was needed to complete the army who's picture must still be on my camera, he must be a bit shy!
I think I did ok considering I've missed half a year.
Not sure whats in store this year if anything, I really hope I can edge back into it but I'm not rushing it, seen some really nice pearlescent paints by Greenstuff World, really want to get those bad boys
There's probably tons of new cool models that I've missed as well, I don't think I'll be going to any tournaments in the near future although I will probably still add to the armies I already have.
There is a cool model on my painting area all primed ready to go so when the time is right she will adorn some paint!

Thanks I have no idea whats going to come up, I was looking at all my models that are in my undercoated box, man so many are broken in bad places resin does not travel well with metal thats for sure!
I dont dare check my painted stuff some of it was just dumped into a box as I didnt have anything to put them in :(

Here's the new sword on my Sister, you know I don't think I'll get it done for the painting comp, don't want to rush her and spoil it for myself. So I'll continue working on the model in the background on the right

Darkoath and Morathi from AoS looks cool as well. Is there anything else thats really cool thats come out in the last 10 months thats worth considering?

Wow it’s nearly been two years since I last visited my painting area. Yesterday I woke with the determination to start painting again, no idea why!
So I have stirred my painting has been cleaned up and he dust shovelled off, it really was that bad!
I too a look at what was left on the table from two years ago a collection of Mierce monsters, some batman minis, my goodness they look so small now! There’s a Sister of Battle and an Imperial Assassin. I’ve not looked at any thing else as it’s all still in boxes from when I moved and I do t want to see the damage!
Today I started to paint as I say it’s been nearly two years so I’m rather rusty. I decided to start on the Assassin probed the easiest of the miniatures, here’s a little WIP, I’m actually quite surprised that all the paints I’ve checked so far are still ok’
Yeah I have a long way to go to be back on form! Albeit this wAs taken on my phone I had to dig my camera out of storage as well so that’s currently on charge although it might not help much!
So there we have it I took a year off to rebuild my self and last year I was out and about going to loads of music gigs all over the country. Progress will be really slow at first as I’ve got lots of gigs planned for the first half of this year but then the painting will start to make a come back after that, I’ve really missed my falls family!

Woot Woot I've finished my first mini in two years!
Really happy to finish this young lass, it's going to take a while to get back my painting skills but that's life!
Speaking of life with the current world in disarray I thought I would have loads of time to crack down and paint some minis, but this was not going to be as I work in a hospital so for me life continues as normal.
So here we have the Callidus Assassin
I also started on something a bit easier today a Death Guard Sorcerer that was in my primed box,

Thanks everyone I'm working on the base at the moment but haven't had much time for painting, too busy at work!
I did dabble with my brushes last weekend and painted these little Treasure Chest's, I'm sure there is a fifth one hiding away but I couldn't find it!
Just taking things slowly to start with
I must admit I've not dared look in my painted minis box's since I moved over three years ago, I really dread what I'm going to find some models were just piled on top of one another for a quick exit. Just makes me feel ill with all the work I put in over the years. One day I will check them and repair but I think it will be a massive project, makes me feel queasy thinking about it not that I have anywhere to put them yet!

I finished my Death Guard Sorcerer today base is all done.
Really getting in the mood for painting at the moment which is cool
I started this big guy from Mierce Miniatures today, its Vaak, moraine beast. a big ice creature. one of the paints I was going to use has dried up so I've had to put an order in so no idea when that will turn up so I might move onto to something else but we shall see what the week brings. There was so much dust on this bad boy where it has lived on my painting area for years untouched.
I found another box of resin delights today from a kickster no idea now where they came. I've got a few boxes kicking round now so I'm not going to go short of models, just need to get some glue which is on order and primer which sees to be the holy grail at the moment!
Hope you all are doing ok

Time for a little update as we go further into lock down in the UK, I've decided to list some projects to hopefully kick me back into painting.
I've manage to source some black primer which is in stock, I've put in an order for two cans, its been like gold dust!
My parents dropped off a few things yesterday hobby related, I get all my post delivered to them, they love it!
A few models of interest
So thats Black Widow and Captain Marvel from Crisis protocol and a few models from Mierce Minatures.
But they are for later I want to pick up a few other Marvel models before I start painting them like Hulk and Venom, these are just for painting.
Project wise I will be looking into digging out my Betrayl Of Calth box set and painting that which will be a huge project but I think Space Marines might be the easiest way back into the hobby. I've thought long and hard what chapters to do them as, I dont want to paint the same colours as any of my other armies. So I decided to do the loyalists as Dark Angels and the traitors as Night Lords, I have already taken the Preator and contemptor out of the box and used them for other armies so will replace them with swanky FW versions Just need to wait for FW to open
Second project I'm really interested in doing is painting up forces for the solo Age of Sigmar rules. I already have an Undead army thats never seen the light so they will be battling it out. Looking forward to painting some trolls thats going to be great.
I also have one of the Elder Scrolls: Call To Arms: Bleak Falls Barrow Delve Set on order, no idea when that will arrive!
There was something else but I cant remember it which is why I'm writing this post so I dont forget!
I might try to get my hands on Black Stone Fortress as well as thats one player but its a tad expensive in one hit!
Does anybody know of any other solo player games that have cool models?
22619
Post by: inmygravenimage
Hellboy. Super cool, amazing gameplay. Where the heck did you source black primer?

A restoration project today which goes back to March 2011 when I first made a come back to the hobby, this troll was the first model I started as part of a diorama but never finished.
With the new troll solo player campaign rules for AoS I decided to remove him from the diorama and re-base and touch him up (that doesn't sound right )for the first of my troll adversaries, I'm going to keep an eye out on ebay to see if any of his friends come up as it would be nice to have the original three sculpts in one unit!
So here he is in all his glory
Timothy the troll!
I hope you like him, I'm struggling to get any painting time in so may be investing in a lap painting station to see if that helps push me forward!

A small update from today I took the time to do a bit of modelling outside
This critter had a nasty case of release mould which I had sitting around for the last five years, I cleaned him up again today and re-selaed (which took hours!) so hopefully when he next gets under coated he'll be ready for a lick of paint alongside his twin. I've ordered some special paints for these
Also today I put together this young lass Black Widow from Marvel Crisis Protocol, I don't have the game just intend on picking up a few minis to paint.
And thats my bank holiday Monday not much but I'm happy with what I've achieved.

Post by: GiraffeX
Thanks
Well Swamp Thing is now finished I couldn't get Vallejo so went with AK Interactive water instead, must say its so much nicer and easier to use.
I also dug out my camera for some proper pictures, its amazing how much better it is than my Phone!
My parents were also kind enough to drop off all the stuff I've had sent there over the last few weeks.
I'just finished building the trolls today just before it started raining so they haven't been undercoated yet, typical but I'm hoping to have them done so I cant start painting on the weekend. I went for an menagerie of trolls from different places so it will be a nice mix!
With all these solo player rules comming out for different games its really giving me a buz as that was always my issue not having people to play now I don't need any!
Hope you are all doing ok and have lots of cool projects on the go.

Cheers mt he was good fun to paint I wasn't sure what direction he was going in at one point but it all pulled together!
This weekend I assembled some Wolves from Mierce which I'll use for Frostgrave I expect, these are the original sculpts not the new ones.
I also undercoated and started the base layer of blue for the first three trolls, progress is dead slow but its better than none at all.
I cant remember the paints I used one the first troll as it was many years ago so i'm going to try and mix and match I still have the same paints so it possible I may get it right!

The Trolls are coming along well.
Today I managed to finish the Reaper Bones troll who will be my Dankhold Troggoth.
Its my first time painting a Bones mini and they aren't as bad as I thought they would be.
The other four trolls arent behind hopefully I'll have them done for next weekend.

Nice job on the Troll.
I think he's one of their newer Bones Black minis, they're not so rubbery and tend to have crisper details than the older Bones stuff.

I probably wouldn't have guessed that was Reaper Probably due to size and gnarliness of the sculpt, both of which are great. Good call for your dankest of trolls, and solid paintcraft

Thanks everyone the trolls have been really fun to paint!
Had a massive supply drop on the weekend of all the things I’ve ordered over the last few months!
Some rule books for solo play, these will give me so many more done projects to plan, really excited!
Here we have Frostgrave Perilous Dark, the Elder Scrolls rule set, Rangers of Shadow Deep and Palaeo Diet for some caveman action!
Some more models, the last few trolls and the other two box sets for Elder Scrolls.
And lastly a drop load of scenery for all these games!
I managed to get both the trolls built and one of the woods. I also put together the second half of the ElderScrollsBleak Fall Barrows set and a couple of Darklands miniatures which I’m going to use for my adventure party for Frostgrave!
Exciting times I’m back for good now!

I This weekend I managed to finish the last of the trolls for my Troggoth Slayers campaign.
The great Troll Boss and his buddy Mollog who is standing in as a Rockgut Troggoth.
Both very fun minis to paint although the Troggboss had a few issues poor fella, first off he got stuck in my dogs tail while painting and lost an ear which the dog found before me and decided to eat it! Then when painting the critter on his base I decided to try out my new chameleon paints, I had issues getting the paint out of the bottle and the bam the top came off and paint went everywhere lucky for me most of it went into my paint palette and I was able to poor it back in. The trolls came off unscathed thank goodness as that was the last part I painted. So does anyone know if the bottles need the ends pushed though or anything? My paint palette now looks amazing and changes colour when the light shines on it!
Next up for me is some woods to give me enough scenery for my first solo game!

Latest troll-kin look great, and loving the centipede.
I have a few of the GSW colourshifts and not had issues with the bottles - although in the past I have done similar with a couple of vallejo paints, trick is if paint doesn't come out straight away then check if the nozzles blocked before just squeezing really hard

Post by: GiraffeX
Cheers Graven its really nice scenery to paint.
----------------------
I had my first game in years today, I've been working up to play the Age of Sigmar solo campaign Troggoth Slayers for a few months now painting trolls and scenery. I already had a undead AoS army that never saw the light of day. So Krell and his undead minions are going out to slay some trolls!.
They came a cross a waddle of trolls on the frozen lakes of strangelweed swamp.
The Black Knights to the flank slamming into the far unit or Rockgut's the nights managed to take a troll down ton the charge with tehir deadly lacnes whicle their horses took another troll to its kness through their stamped.
They Knights lost a two knights in the ensuing combat,
On the left flank Krell and his horde waded through the woods while the Trolls opposite tauntednted them throwing rocks into their ranks, bones went flying but Krell rebuilt them as they advanced.
Finally they made the charge crashing into the trolls
The Black Knights then charged in to assist, I must admit I did fear they would get wiped out by the trolls but Krell made sure their ranks stayed stable.
In the end the trolls were just over powered by the undead forces and were crushed underfoot. Krells abilitys to bost the 20 man unit just led to so many attacks they couldt loose!
For the next step in their campaign both units are down a member but Krell will take care of that, however we do have to put up with some torrential rain which means my army cant run.
And they we go I had lots of fun play this I really didn't expect my skeletons to do as well as they did! Victory!!!

Cheers IceAngek it was fun I quite enjoyed it to be honest looking forward to part two which will hopefully be coming up soon.
So I have this week off from work which is a bit weird becuase I'm working from home a lot at the moment so instead of working on my laptop i'm sat in the same place painting models, so much more fun!
On Monday I cranked out another Awakened Wyldwood for the second part of my Troggoth Slayers campaign so now I have a forest!
Then yesterday I surprised myself and started on the Elder Scrolls Call to Arms models
I managed to get all of the undead finished in a day! So here we have the Draugr Overlord and his minions ready to slay some pesky heros!
Not bad going I've also started the Stormcloaks so hopefully you will be seeing them soon as well.
All going well so far in spite of this insane heat wave in the UK!

but it always makes me think I could send my time better off painting more models! I think it came out ok, more than happy.

Just picked up my second edition rules for Frostgrave last week. I’m really excited. Also snagged a box of cultists cheap recently. I started to assemble them last week as well. Lovely kit, lots of variety with heads and stuff. I only wish they did NOT do the couple zombie arm/ heads and did more weapon options, otherwise great models.
Love the look of your warband. I have yet to decide which option for wizard to go with myself, so many varieties.

Cheers Archer I've only just started to venture back into the hobby after a huge break, its good to see familiar faces!
I'm really liking how the warband is coming along more below.
So here we go the second part of the warband pool, this is the apprentice and his buddies. The poor blonde lass I fear wont survive very long she's already had three mishaps before seeing any action, I've managed to drop her three times while painting each time taking her head off! not a good omen!
And as a bonus I have painted these two as well my Paladin and Knight for the heard hitters, such nice models and again tehy are al from MIerce Miniatures.
Hope you like them, I've got the week off at the moment I was planning on painting more but I made the mistake of starting to watch season 1 of Batwoman, man that is class! I've got half way through so far!

Its been a while since I last posted, been having a lot of PC problems. I've not been idle though I have a ton of minis to show you that I've been working on over the next few days.
First are some models I've painted for Paleo Diet which is a solo skirmish game based in prehistoric times.
The first is my warband which was painted a while ago, the pictures no the best, nothings changed haha!
And here are some Raptors I've painted for the same game, there's some dinosaurs next in my painting queue as its looking like I'll have all the models painted for this before Frostgrave.
All being well I'll be back tomorrow with more pictures

Thanks Archer yeah musty agree they are the best proto-humans I could find lovely models.
I may have an airbrush now so that would be the trick on the blends on the raptors, I would have to check which greens they were, I painted them a while ago.

Ok here's the next round up on the painting front this time we have all the models over the last few months I've been painting for Frostgrave, still haven't painted all the models required yet!
First up is another Thug for my Warband
Then we have a few bits of scenery and Objectives
And then the monsters, there is an additional 20 Gnolls as well but I don't seem to have a picture of them but they weren't that good anyway!
I thought I would finish with the minotaur really proud of him.
These aren't on order that I painted them but you can see the improvement as I get back on track which I'm now happy with with the models you'll see over the next few days

This is the last update bringing us up to date and its a big one, two models I painted for my dad for his porch so they don't have bases but they do have attitude!
Both from MIercie Miniatures
Gol Gul, Barrow Spider
The second is Selkiias Skorpion Major
