Why? Because if he starts posting in that thread people like you will rip him for 'threadomancy' or some crap like that. If this thread hurts your eyes, look elsewhere
I'll try to throw up some orks shots when I get home

Yeah, slappywag, I suggest getting the Ork Megaforce, its actually worth it, like seventy dollors for da Boyz, and then a nother thirty for the Trukk, and then da rest iz free!
Though I wonder where all the Fantasy playas are, as I am starting a Fantasy WAAAAAAAAGH! on my B-Day, and I would like some cool idears.
Also, does anyone have a Squiggoth? I want to know if it comes in one piece or in seperate pieces.

All of this is still a WIP but Im changing my army to be Black Orc heavy and in some cases using the rules for Grimgor Ard Boyz...
The Big Ol Warboss guy... err Grumlok and Gazbag will be used as my counts as Grimgor Ironhide in games. And that fanatic I got yesterday was just too cool to not show

Nice, Nice, I think that even in WIP, your Orcs look cool, they show alot of character of an army, especially the Fanatic, trying to get away.
The Orks from Lynn are good, I actually read the thread with the Paintpot Kans in it, and I could imagine about thirty Orks that are one inch tall runnin around a tabletop, dumpin out paint and gluin stuff to the sides.

Yeah i really do. I really liked painting this guy - as a first mini i was surprised how well it came off. I tried doing a Bad Moonz scheme, i think i needed another spot of red somewhere though to make it look better.

I'm definitely planning to get more Orks but not to start a force. I want to get a Nob and convert him to a warboss, do a fancy base and maybe a diorama.
I'm a Chaos and Ork fan but I'm going to start a Chaos force then an Ork force.

My fluff?
Unta was born a giant, and since birth it was known he would become the Boss of the clan. Finally his day came when he killed his former boss and claimed his title. For 6 days strait, the whole of the clan drank fungus beer non stop. On the 7th, Unta had finally had enough of being in the beer hall.
Upon staggering out of the hall, he lost his footing and stumbled into some parked bikes. Angered that, what he thought was an Ork, wouldnt get out of his way, threw the bike 100 feet away, crashing into a giant promethium storage tower. The tower fell and landing mear feet away, in Untas drunken haze, he fell over. Angered that his boyz were "out ov loine!" He pulled out his trusty slugga and fired a shot into the promethium tower.
The tower erupted into a massive explosion of fire, not only blowing down half the beer hall and wreaking several bikes, but also blew Unta into halves and well. Believing that Unta was special because "Orks aint normally dat big" his clansmen... Er Orks, brought the best doks and meks in to piece Unta back together. Days later Unta awoke to being half machine, half Ork and half as deadly as any Titan walking or otherwise.
Also I wanted them to be based on a desert, barren planet, so that helped me choose the color of their clothing and such. As far as my vehicles being painted chrome, Ive never thought of a good reason other then the fact I thought it looked cool

Nah it's magic sculpt or super sculpty....I forget the name. One of those sculpting putties that you need to oven cure. I use Apoxie Sculpt these days, same stuff just doesn't need to bake. Just sculpted it into the appropriate shape, hardened it, then cut and chiseled it until I was happy. Bonus is it's quite heavy so he's pretty stable too.

This mekboy.
Guns, guns, guns, more guns, a few more guns after those guns, and an extra gun just incase all of those guns don't happen to do the job right.
Pair of choppas attached to a jet turbine. Just for that extra choppiness.
Lots of choppy, shooty and stabby fun here, all in one package.

Wow cool! Love it all, especially the looted thunderhawk, the bloody hand print on the Mad Doc, the Warboss and Wyvern and the blue Zagstruk!
I can only offer my humble Ork offerings in return - Da Ork Angelz.
No boy is quite sure 'ow it 'appened, but dey are pretty sure it started with Grimskab Badwort da pain boy... Ya know, da boyz expect those treated by pain boyz to not be quite "themselves" afterwards, but Grimskab was more than not himself after being patched up by another pain boy during the Piscina IV campaign. At first, no-one thought twice (orks rarely think once!) about his sudden ability to track down da dark green coloured beakies, his success at suggesting ways to ambush them, nor his increased enthusiasm for hacking them to pieces. He was of the Blood Axe clan after all. When he got a little *too* enthusiastic, Morgrim Grimork (Da Boss) still found a good fist would put him in his place. This was, of course, until Morgrim found himself needing Grimskab's "services"...
You see, according to da grotz - Grimskab hadn't been mindlessly hacking up beakies - he 'ad been "extractin" stuff - gin seed or progoid lands or some such. Grimskab had been self administerin himself. Da grotz had learnt to determine Grimskab's mood based on how much supply he had and how long it had been since the last administration. Da boyz began to learn the same lessons once Morgrim had also been administered to - his temperament swung from tactical genius (for an Ork, even a Blood Axe) soon after an "administration" to downright unbearable (ie normal Orky) once it had "bin awhile". He also became obsessed with tracking down da dark green beakies - especially da chaos ones - apparently their gin seed was "pure"...
Slowly over time, as more nobz, odd boyz and boyz required Grimskab's "services" - whether as a result of battle, opportunity or da boss order'in it, da inna circul came into being and Da Ork Angelz took shape. Now dey scour the galaxy for da dark green beakies, tak'n dere gin seed and progoid lands and metabolising it, integrating strange knowledge of tactics, force structure, technology, locations and secrets... - if only their Orky minds could fully grasp what they had been given access to!
Having been patched up with genetic material from a Dark Angels apothecary fallen in battle on Piscina IV by a pain boy (rumoured, but not confirmed to be the Mad Doc himself), Grimskab became a twisted combination of apothecary and pain boy. Da Ork Angelz, the upper echelons also now similarly administered, have come to adopt a similar uniform, tactics and force structure - albeit from an Orky perspective - including Da Deff Wing and D Rav'nwing. Da boyz don't care - if anything, they get to krump more stuff!
Nob:
Warbiker - Da Knee Kappa ( WIP):
Skarag Mekslag - Da Big Mek ( WIP) (apologies for terrible photos - iPhone)

More on my project blog - Da Ork Angelz - linked in my signature - if you are interested

Thanks. Yes - its supposed to be more than simply Orks painted like Dark Angels (though I find that pretty cool by itself). It takes time to get the vision across - especially as my painting/modelling/fluff time is limited, and I am not as fast or talented as other DakkaDakka members obviously are. On the upside - its a slow work in progress, so plenty of time to contribute and help shape da boyz. On the downside, it could be awhile before I act on *all* the good ideas... but I will go back to them!
