I like 40K. I like AngelSpit. Listening to "Let Them Eat Distortion" on their newest CD, Hideous and Perfect, gave me an idea for an Emperor's Children/Noise marines/Slaanesh army. Just yesterday I picked up a box of Noise marines and started paining them up.
Here's what I have so far -
The final paint scheme will be something like this.
Not your normal pink/purple/black EC scheme, but it fits the band theme and I like it. Though I think they do look kinda Chaos BA's.
I need suggestions though. I'm going to model the HQ units after the members of the band and need to find good models to start with.
Zoog
He's going to be a Daemon Prince
Destroyx
She's going to count as Fabius Bile. I wanted to use Fabius as AngelSpit has kind of a medical theme.
This is going to be a pretty big project for me. I'm including a Defiler that will look like a modular synth and tanks that will be patterned after album art. I'm also going to be working in a Forgeword sonic dreadnought. Should be fun, hopefully competitive too. Which reminds me, I need to post the latest revision to my list.
More to come, any advice or suggestions would be awesome.
Im liking this as I have recently retired a Emperors Children army I love the visuals for Slannesh armies and will most probs make me another one at some point.
It should be interesting to see an army based on that band.Have you ever thought of using Exorcist parts in the army.

I have, or at least something that looks a lot like them.
DeluX wrote:Love Angelspit (they always go down well when I'm on the decks, lol! ) Can't wait to see how this army turns out.
Thank you. I love them too, obviously. I've gotten to be pretty good friends with Zoog and Destroyx too. Though I have yet to hear a reaction out of them on this project. Other fans on their message board seem to like it.
Thank you everyone else for your comments, keep them coming. I did a little more work today, but my camera is dead. I have to buy some more paint too. Trying to make the cabling on the sonics different colours. I'm a bit annoyed that the NM boxes only have 1 SB. I was thinking about making my own. Just the same, I might do something with the backpacks. I like the champ's backpack, I want the otheres to be similar.
They overcame their bone structure and metabolism....
You gotta put a high-gloss finish on them when you finish them off... probably even better if you just do it in the recessed parts of the armor and leaving the raised parts flat...
So I went shopping today and bought some more paints and new brushes (which my girlfriend is using right now) along with a pack of sonic weapons and Green Stuff.
Before having to go to work tonight, I made the head for my headless Blastmaster operator using Green Stuff and a left over Space Marine Scout head. I also took a couple of plain Chaos Space Marine helmets and put "mohawks" on them.
Batteries are dead in my camera, no pics yet.
This was my first time working with Green Stuff. Harder to work with than I thought. Should look pretty cool when done though.

As a fellow slaaneshi advocate it's great to see an original themed slaanesh csm army. I can't wait to see some painted mini's as well as conversions you do down the road. If greenstuff is giving you trouble, then let me give you a few tips. hot water is the key, you don't need it scalding but it's need to be warm enough to keep the green stuff pliable. you want to dip the scuplting ends ofyour tools into the warm water before you use them, this will allow them to shape the greenstuff with it sticking to the tool. If you can attach the model's base to something you can comfortably hold stable, so the you don't take the chance at accidently smudging something you're working on as well as helping keep fingerprints off the greenstuff areas. When you building up an area, work in layers as it is easier to maintain the desired form. Lastly on large surfaces sculpt the in sections so that you can focus in more detail. I hope this helps you and makes the work load a little easier.
I have been keeping an eye on this Blog with great interest.
I have an idea for you your defiler make it a speaker with a mouth on the front massive mouth with a speaker grill in it have legs sprouting off the speaker. All your veihicles make them musical in some way speakers acting as blast masters or dirge casters colour wise just a massive splash of crazy cacophonous colours.
Like if you were to fight this army you would just be disorientated at all times....yea crazy stuff..
Also your havocs could have amps on their backs instead of backpacks like woah up to 11 blam!! the champion could have a special up to 11 amp call him Derek and your sold!!
That pigtailed marine helmet looks awesome one piece of critic is this supposed to be for the Destroyx character as I dont know I would use a Daemonette possibly converted using a Celestine,or Seraphim model more female in appearance...or GS some armour onto a plastic Daemonette...or is drag what your aiming for??

Either way good project so far im liking it.
Destroyx will most likely be a converted SOB (probly a cannoness or St. Celestine) with Fabius Bile's backpack, skyscraper heels, and a really big syringe. Zoog on the other hand will be a large, human looking, daemon prince with a big scalpel. I still haven't found a model for him. The marine in drag is for a few reasons if I do it, which it looks like I'm going to. Both members of the band like drag queens. Zoog used to live near, and occaisionally go to, one of the bars that Priscilla: Queen of the Desert was filmed in. And finally, well, that's me in the avatar to the left. I'm a drag queen.
At 0:56 this vid explains the medical theme, and the look I'm going for with the HQ.
That gives me an idea. Converted Deciever?
deadly chicken wrote:Looks generally good.
Paint needs a little work.
You are losing alot of detail because of the thickness of the paint.
I like the style though i have never heard of the band.
DC
I got some new brushes (that my girlfriend is still using!) and nw paints. I'll be using some of the same techniques that she's using. Her latest models look really amazing.
Never heard of them? If you like noisey, electronic music that makes heavy use of analogue synths and distortion, you might like them.
Here's one of their videos, it's an older one, but has a lot of the imagery I want to work in to this army.
Interesting I can see how these guys translate well into a Slanneshi Chaos Space Marine Army.
Any Plans to include Daemons Daemonettes would look really cool in that Black/Red Scheme the Forgeworld Keeper of Secrets would look amazing with Red/Purple skin and a black bodice of some kind.
Yea project ideas are definately evolving keep the up the work.

Thank you.
I originally planned for a squad of daemonettes (in kinky nurse outfits), but I found a better plan for a list. 2 squads of noise marines, 1 squad of CSM, 1 squad of posessed, 2 rhinos, 3 defilers.
I might still make a squad of daemonettes for show but not actually use them in games.
Awesome theme! Interesting to me that you're going fairly light on the medical stuff, with as heavy as Angelspit goes with it, but I can see that being for the better - marines in sexy red/black scheme, medical reference for characters and/or a random squad like chosen and such.
One thing though: no blissgiver??? Giant hypodermic needle for noise injection justice!
That may be a possibility. I'm also thinking about putting them in the tank commander seat.
Automatically Appended Next Post: On with the updates!
I've got this squad nearly completed. Just one more marine to go and squad "Make You Sin" will be finished. I'm also planning on makeing a banner for this squad. Well, each squad.
First, making a guest appearance on bass - err blastmaster - Bootsie Collins!
I just couldn't resist.
Here's 4 recently completed Sonic Blaster weilding CSM's.
Like the 'hawks?
Here's the squad so far.
I still need to trade out the champ's bolter for a Sonic, but I think I'm going to use the spare Blastmaster I have for that. Just shorten it up and turn it forward so he's holding it with one hand. Yay! More conversions!
The CSM with the pigtails is next. After that don't expect much until a few weeks from now after I purchase a battleforce.
Just a quick update while the green stuff hardens. Started working on my marine in drag.
Alert the Dark Angels that the Sacred Falsies and Holy High Heels have gone missing from their armoury, along with a few frocks.
It's a start, it's a little rough, but it should look pretty cool when done.
And here it is with my "slut boots" that I based the heels off of. I considered naming this one after me and making it a special character, but to make it realistic I would need a WS of -10. I can't hit the broad side of a barn even with the assistance of a scope and a laser.
Indeed I do! Nicely done, and I'm feeling like giving one a shot tomorrow - I need to replace an autocannon with a plasma gunner, and my army has a shocking 0 mohawks at the moment
Not a bad start. Have you looked into any Dark Age models? They have LOTS of nurse types with leather, electrical tape nip coverage, gas masks and syringes, usually all on the same model. Depending on the model the scale sort of orbits around GW's 32mm, some a bit bigger, some a tad smaller. They fit in well with my SoB lasses, so they should make your marines look properly pumped.
I look forward to seeing more!
@ LordBoJangles - Thank you. I think in that pic it's pretty clear to see how they were done. If you have questions, I'll try to help. I totally guessed at how to do them.
@ Boss_Salvage - Thank you. Let me know how they turn out.
@ Wehrkind - just took a quick look. I think I'm going to have to look closer, thank you!
@ Bash the Bosh - Thank you .
I did pick up an Emperor's Children Lord that is actually going to be used as the noise champ for my other squad (Let Them Eat Distortion). About the only conversion I can see myself doing on him is to make his plasma pistol look more like a sonic device.
The Good Green - Thanks, I've never used the stuff before. I built model cars when I was younger and modded some of them heavily. Back then I used Bondo for this kind of work. I'm finding the GS a lot easier to sculp, though it does take too long to harden.
devilkin - I've heard of that guy, didn't he do an all female SM army?
Got a little more done on the drag queen, not pics to post yet.
Also got a Emperor's Children Chaos Lord that I will be using for the Champion of the other Noise Marines squad. He's about ready for paint.
And now a question - The other squad of noise marines, should they be painted the same? I was also thinking either black with red trim or black with white trim.
I've got the demoted Chaos Lord mostly painted at this point. Went with black armour, red trim, gold on the pipes/speakers. Looks pretty good. Just need a few more details, washes, highlights and he's done. I've also made a banner for the nearly completed squad out of Green stuff. Need to paint some sort of heraldry on it, something that goes with "Make You Sin" And I need to finish the drag marine's frock. So far a skirt has been added. Still needs a top.
I'll take some pics as soon as I get a chance, do more work, take more pics. It's my "Friday" so I'll have a few days off soon to do stuff. Anyone know if the Chaos Battleforce comes with a vehicle accessories sprue? I need some of the gargoyle heads.
@Bash the Bosh - That's awesome. Have you listened to their musics and watched their vids?
Automatically Appended Next Post: And now on with the show -
Here we have the drag marine's painted helm and a hand made banner. Still need to put something on it.
And here she is in her frock, waiting for paint as soon as the green stuff hardens. That base is my Mund Auf Augen Zu from Destroyx's makeup line. (I'm only using it for the pic) I'm wearing a lot of her other colours in my avatar pic.
She caught the attention of my noise champ before I could finish him. Silly Slaanesh cultists.
I got him away long enough to finish him.
Through some stroke of tactical genius, Pedro Kantor appeared. I think I heard "Creed!" being screamed.
He made me photograph him, I wasn't about to argue. Actually, he belongs to my girlfriend. She painted him too. I don't argue with her either.
As a major slaanesh lover, and devout follower I seldom say this, but that stuff "To Me mind you" is so far removed it's not even funny. I understand the modeling after a band, but the whole marine in drag and stuff really seems to me to be taking this to a level that I would not play against. Slaanesh isn't just about kinky nurses and sex it is about the lust of the kill, the joy and seduction of wholesale slaughter. All of the sinful pleasures not just lust. I'm sorry, and I think your creativity is a good thing I can not say anything constructive about this army.

I don't think you have a clue as to what you are talking about. For starters, if you want killing and slaughter, talk to Khorne. Slaanesh is about pleasures, lust, excess, perfection and hedonism.
I think you need to go back and read the entire thread. This was inspired from the song "Let Them Eat Distortion" on Angelspit's Hideous and Perfect CD. Let's take a look at just the first verse and the chorus -
Sweet Gluttony, she says to me
Kill 'till you go insane with pleasure
Let me scream, obesity
Bloody curses for a god who cannot hear
My carcass, my carcass, swells with excitement
Grand things luscious with tar in their hair
My duchess, mistress, bloody dementia
Bless the bread with Saint Anthony's fire
Buildings will fall
Heaven don't care
Gods in contortion
(Let them eat distortion)
I'm seeing excess. I'm seeing lusts and pleasure. Yeah there's killing, but there's the taking pleasure in it. Heck I'm seeing a little of all the Chaos gods in this. But that last line, the title of the song, sounds like the perfect battle cry for a Noise Marine.
Which quite accurately fits the fluff as described in the Horus Heresy novels. Angelspit makes use of modular analogue synths and rather bizarre homemade instruments. Hence their music does not sound like what would classically be described as musical instruments. It's very discordant and distorted. Just like how the sonic weapons were described (in Fulgrim I think), they were instruments first. While I've seen rock and metal themed Noise Marines in the past, but industrial, more so cyberpunk industrial, is more fitting.
So where does the marine in drag come in to play? Well, Slaanesh can appear as male, female, both, neither. Sounds kinda like a drag queen to me. Also, I know the band personally. I moderate their message board and I am even listed in the "thank yous" on their latest CD. Both Zoog and Destroyx like drag queens. If anything it's comic relief and an inclusion of things the band members like. There's other rationale for it in this thread as well. If anything, it's called a sense of humour, maybe Tzeentch can bless you with one if Slaanesh won't.
The nurses? Angelspit has a medical theme, also mentioned previously. Their first album was titled "Nurse Grenade."
The intention was more about the band than about 40K fluff, but it's not really that far removed. There latest work has been referred to by ReGen Magazine as "an unforgiving bitch slap to a society gone mad." There's a great many things Slaanesh to be found on it as well as their other works.
There's probly going to be more in this army you won't like, I can see it now. Here's some other things that will in some manner be included or represented in some way-
Fabius Bile
Scalpel and syringe wielding CC squad
More scalpels and syringes along with other medical goodies on defilers
Pills (note the grenades on the noise champ)
Analogue modular synths
I was going to include a possessed squad and I'm really liking the above suggestions (thank yous!!!!!)
At least one vehicle will have speakers/MP3 device
More mohawks, dreads, hairfalls, what ever else I can think of to make them look cyberpunk
and CUPCAKES! (I baked cupcakes for the band the last time they were in town, but KMFDM ate most of them)
Love it or hate it, I really don't care. I'm having fun.
tl;dr version: you don't know what you are talking about, read the whole thread, I have my reasons, don't care if you don't like it.
And as just a final blow because I'm in kind of a mean mood, at least the girl in my avatar is me and not the model I spend my lonesome existence drooling mindlessly over.
I, for one, love it. It's a very unique yet characterful take on the whole thing. The drag queen idea just so works in my mind. Tim Curry from Rocky Horror, only in Power Armour wielding high power weapons.. I approve!

In which case there is absolutely no excuse for making personal attacks against posters leaving feedback. Not all feedback will be positive... that's life. Try not to take it personally.
If you feel that a post steps over the line, alert the mods. Resorting to personal attacks will just get you a holiday from Dakka and a locked thread.
In the first pic from the last batch, it looks like the helmets are on pedestals. I really liked it as a terrain piece, but I was surprised to see you weren't gonna use the pigtails...
Then I realized the heads were still on the sprue.
It would make for a fantastic terrain to back up a magic user or something: a dressing table, or vanity with a bunch of alternate helmets and armour plates... or what have you.
Aside from my misconceptions, your paint job and color scheme are looking good. And your greenstuff work is coming along very well. I can't remember if you said already, but: are you going to be greenstuffing more than one model for this army?
I'm loving the idea, and sure Slaanesh isn't just about sex/ lust, but that's because Slaanesh embodies all exces, and thereby all amibiton and desire, as I see it. So I'd say a Slaaneshi marine cult can easily be rockers/ smexy nurses. Warp, you could even add berzerkers if you wanted, because what are berzerkers besides marines going for an excess of carnage?
Anyway, keep up with the cool work. As a slaanesh fan, I am personally completely for this. Keep the funness/ smexy marines coming, lol
I love the idea although I never heard of AngelSpit before this thread. (Thanks for introducing me to a awesome group )
I think converting a demonette to look like Destroyx would work nicely. Maybe attempting to model the syringe back thing of Fabius Bile with green stuff and other bitz.
Love it or hate it, I really don't care. I'm having fun.

Im inclined to defend the OP on this one thing is your post to her sounded like a put down from the word go too many people on here take a swipe and then hide behind MODS so dude if your going to insult a woman dont then run away when she has a go back.
To the OP your army is refreshing and original dont let this douche put you off damn fluffnazi.
As a modelling thread, there's always something constructive to say. Saying you won't play against an army in drag... that's saying something else about you.
I'm liking the whole image and I'm not a fan of the quintessentially british humour of dressing up in women's clothes. However, as a fetish or a lifestyle, I think this is right up slaanesh's street. Tastefully done too. I think the basic green stuff is a brilliant start but could be finished more smoothly - maybe cover up joins with bitz or more green stuff? I sanded a green stuff cloak on a chaos model and it came up quite nice.
Also, put detail on those bases to nicely finish them. I really like your GF's Pedro. A fine, conventiona, prim and proper counterpart...
Come to think of it, I've been on a lad's night out dressed as a girl (the whole deal-fishnets,french knickers, training bra etc) and I pulled more girls than ever before! so the whole drag theme works brilliantly. While I respect constructive critiscism, I agree with gruntboy, to say you refuse to play against someone just because you don't like the look or theme of said army is petty. Especially when the opponent has spent weeks scratch building and green-stuffing like a person possessed (by a daemon possibly??).It's not everyones cup of tea and I'm sure my mother would choke on a scone while watching 'Songs of Praise' if I showed her a drag queen space marine, or blasted out some Angelspit so loud the deaf lady next door bangs on the wall. But at least it different to the norm and refreshing to see someones interpretation fluff and whatnot.

That's fine, I said I don't. To claim I am hiding behind the mods is far put ( I have a life at home you know to attend to were I don't post). I said I don't like her theme personally for my tastes thats fine my opinon. On the model side I think she has promise with gs though I may not like the work, I can like the ability. As for painting I think she needs to work on brush control as it's sloppy. People are not always going to like others work to bad so sad happens. Anyone who has been on dakka long enough at one point or another has had people say they may not like their work. So take it with a grain of salt and move on. I for one am done defending my point to people here because it strays so far from the subject.
Modquisition on.

as 4ok armies themed around non 40k material goes, I really like this one. I'm impressed with the greenstuffing work and the overall color scheme. I would really like to see this army panned out to completion. Please on everyones part let's not turn this particular thread into every other dakka thread that turns into a nerd rage flame war. I think so far the critiques have been balanced and fair, from a purely objective standpoint on the model work.

Hey sorry for letting my geek rage get the best of me. It wasn't the criticism so much as it was someone needing to do a little more reading. That's all I'll say on the matter.
@ Xappy - Thank you.
@ The Good Green - No, please change the subject. I was going to make some terrain specific to this army, that kinda gives me an idea. Thank you.
@ Lord Kaesar II - Thank you. My CC squad is actually going to be made from Berzerkers. Not played as them, though I guess they would work. Hmmm.
@ The Gate Keeper - Your welcome.
@ Bash the Bosh - I seem to recall Zoog describing it like "Your parents will hate it, your neighbours will want to kill you" or something like that.
@ BOSS_PIMPALOTZ - Thank you, I think, I'll see you when you get back.
@ gruntboy - I agree. Also I will be basing them at some point. And I'll pass on what you said to my gf. She's got skills.
@ Bash the Bosh - you rock!
@ Soladrin - Yes they do.
@ glon52 - Thank you. They will be based eventually.
@ Frazzled - Point taken, thank you.
@ devilkin - exactly that, thank you.
@ Miss Dee - Thank you very much
That being said, I have more updates to post.
Automatically Appended Next Post: And speaking of said updates....
Here she is all done.
And at another angle.
This is the completed squad. Actually, this is the first squad I have ever completed, I'm pretty happy.
the new model looks great, my only critique would be that the heels look just a tiny bit to large (not by much though). Otherwise I think it's a good job, and i cant wait to see more.
You looked at the Malifaux line a lot of the Resurrectionist models might fit this theme crazed Doctors and mad Nurses.....This is definitely an interesting take on Noise marines theirs also a head on the Marauder Horseman sprue which looks exactly like the male singer.........
@devilkin - I'm still on the fence whether or not I want to file the heels down or leave them as it.
@Xappy - thank you!
@Llamahead - I looked. Gave me a few ideas. Thank you so much!
@The Good Green - Me too! :p thank you!
@BOSS_PIMPALOTZ - Great to see you back!
@Miss Dee - Never heard them called that.
@Qualude- eeek, sorry about that, newest round of pics is against a white background for once.
@Bash the Bosh - I'm with Miss Dee on this one
Automatically Appended Next Post: So I ordered a battleforce for myself and another for my girlfriend (loyalists for her) at the FLGS. They didn't have them when we went to pick them up. :(
So we told them to try again and bought some other stuff. I got a Rhino, a box of Daemonettes and found a blister of some older (4th, maybe 3rd?) edition possessed CSMs.
Here's what I have done so far with the Rhino.
Looks kinda plain from this angle, but I did make it so I have both a gunner and a tank commander.
Here it is from behind. And a better shot of my possessed guy. I'm not done with him yet.
Here's a better view of the interior. I know it won't get seen much, but I like it and I want ed to do something cool and different.
And from the side with the other possessed that was in the blister. How am I supposed to fit 10 of them in there? :p BTW, before picking up your models, make sure you don't have glue on your fingers. Plastic glues eat through paint and melt plastic.
I dig the checkerd interior. Not sure why but do, and yes those are 4th edition possessed. Came out like mmm 4 years ago. Didn't last long thoughthey were replaced by the plastics pretty quick.
@Miss Dee - I put a Slaanesh Icon on it and the doors will have Angelspit iconography. I'm going to attempt to put it on a decal since there's no cance of me free handing it and making it look good.
@Empchild - They had 2005 stamped on them. They look cool, I might pick up a few more. They had more on the clearance rack at the gaming store. I do have to say though, plastic ones are cooler and I like that I can mix their bits with generic CSM's and cult marines. It's cool to see that you like something I've done here, btw. I'd hate to see another poo flinging match.
@devilkin - soon! check my gallery if you are on now.
Automatically Appended Next Post: @Bash the Bosh - That was what I was kinda going for, well that and there's a tiled floor/walls in the Vena Cava music video and on the photos on the inside of the Krankhaus CD
@BOSS_PIMPALOTZ - well there is more to come.
Hopefully no one will get disappointed about my absense or the lack of updates. It's kinda time consuming. I'd rather be finishing my models and playing games with them than talking about them.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Well all that being said, here's where I'm at - I have a battleforce. From that battleforce I was able to make 9 CSM's that will be an enhanced close combat squad (Berzerker legs, CSM torso, combat knife, bolt pistol. Champ has been converted with apothecary bits.), 8 Posessed CSM's (posessed bits, CSM bits) to add to the 2 I allready have, and 9 Noise Marines (Berzerker torsos, CSM legs, Sonics). I will also be building the second Rhino using the one supplied with the battleforce. This one will be patterned after the song/video "F**k the Revolution" and the photography on the Hideous and Perfect album booklet.
I also have a nearly finished Rhino. All it needs is some band iconography. I had enough difficulty painting it, I don't think I'm ready to freehand that sort of thing. Instead I'll be putting it on a transfer. Until then I'm considering this done. I think it looks pretty nice.
Also in the picture is my Icon bearer. His sqaud that will be riding in that Rhino is a group of enhanced (by Fabius) that I wanted to look at least a little blood thirsty. Having him posed with the icon like he is going to pike someone with it may not really be proper, but I thought it was fitting. There's a Space Marine helmet on the end of it, what chapter should I paint it up like? My girlfriend plays Blood Angels and Crimson Fists, so I don't think either would be a good idea.
I like the deamonettes on it as it seperates the vehicle from a normal rhino. Helps bring character to the army in and of itself. As a personal choice I don't put any spikes on vehicles, namely because I learned the hard way in the past when they break how annoyed you get constantly fixing them. If you do go this route in the future I recomend brass rods as these are less likely to break.
pretty awesome chaos rhino, especially with the checkers as my orks will have an easier time looting it
btw the possesed may be a 3rd edition possesed or a 3rd and 4th edition possesed. the 3rd edition possesed have some weird back packs while the 3rd and 4th edition possesed have the standard back packs.
@Empchild - Thank you. Now that you mention it, something tells me the first time I transport this thing I'm going to need the glue. I got a bad, bad feeling. But they look so cool.
@Lexx - Thank you. I may have to get a few more of those old metal possessed.
@Blitza da warboy - 4th according to Empchild, I think that's what I've heard elsewhere. They did come with the old style back packs. Angelspit is an industrial band for Australia. I've gotten to be pretty good friends with them. They rock. Have a look at their website. Or here's a description from a review that kinda sums things up -
"A riot grrl with a vocoder and a cyberpunk with a distortion pedal. Thick and rich with burning analogue synths and contempt, driven by beats like shards of metal and glossy with pvc and sweat, Angelspit is a Sydney industrial/electro duo to watch out for. "
I've had a lot going on lately, not all of it good. But such as life, things happen. I don't have as much time on my hands as I used to. :(
I've got the squad of CSMs that will be riding in the Rhino assembled and painted. They just need details and highlights. They were kind of a kit bash - Berzerker legs, vanilla torso's, mix of 'zerker, vanilla and possessed for arms/bolt pistol/CCW. A few are carrying Bowie knives. The Champ got decked out with Apothecary bits. He got a little surgical mask too. I think they look pretty cool so far.
I still need to paint the possessed and finish assembling them. Some are actually kit bashed from left over CSM and possessed bits. At least one is getting a Daemonette head. They will be getting a Rhino too. I'm going to do their Rhino a little differently. As it is, the one that came with the battleforce was kind of a rough cast. But I can still work with it. I'm using these tanks and artwork from the Hideous and Perfect CD for inspiration. I'm going for a very Slaaneshi, but still very Angelspit inspired, possessed look.
The other noise marines squad is also still on the to do list. Right now they are just bare 'zerker torsos on CSM legs. I'm liking the way they look so far though. I still need to get sonics for them.
Once I gat all that finished it's time for more shopping. Still on the to buy list are Defilers and HQ's. And there's going to be a lot of sculpting on those.
Those tanks are really, really disturbing. Beautiful, but disturbing. If your work so far is anything to go by, your tanks will be terrifyingly gorgeous.
Hi, i basically signed up just to post this : THIS IS MADE OF WIN.
As a long-time Angelspit lover and Slaaneshiophile, i support and endorse this idea
i always find music that works for armies and work from how that makes me feel, my entire Iron Warriors army is based off of some Rammstein, Blitzkrieg by Deathstars, some Emperor, and various other Industrial Metal. Music is my inspiration to build armies, generally.
when i heard "Let Them Eat Distortion" i thought Noise Marines too, it's just sodding perfect for them. Angelspit's instrumentals are very much the kind of thing i'd imagine they would listen to, and lyrically it's Perfect. i got an image in my mind for an Angelspit-themed Noise Marine Squad, which sadly thanks to a loss of interest in 40K, and a lack of Fundage, fell onto the back-burner.
i might just start it up again, if it's alright with you. not gonna crib your style, but i hope you don't mind if i nick a Few ideas, like the pigtail marine, and the Krankhaus Checks on the interior of that rhino (grand idea that, by the way)
Very nice work on the conversions ^_^ Much better Greenstuff work than my attempts. never been able to work with anything that small-scale. making costume parts with bondo, sure. tiny banners and hair, no. grand ideas going on too, very much keeping the Angelspit style but still making them obviously 40Kish, to the point where they still look awesome to somebody who doesn't know the band.
So I've been away like forever. And, ummmm, I got a little paint on my possessed squad.
Actually most of the bodies are getting washes and I just primed the heads and backpacks. They are looking pretty cool. Sorry no updated pics yet. My laptop is in need of repair. I'm posting this from work. Oddly enough I'm also painting at work. I used a mix of scab red and gore red on the armour. The idea was to make the armour look likeit was possessed or corrupted, even semi-organic. I think I pulled it off. The skin on some was painted with either elf flesh or dwarf flesh, but with one I went with scab red and another I used bleached bone with a levithan purple wash.
After a long time with out a computer and a longer hiatus, I finally got more done and more pictures to post. That being said, let me introduce you to squad "Surgically Atoned."
Why, yes, that is a defiler behind them, one in progress anyway.
Aspiring Champ, with powersword and apothecary bits.
Close up of a marine, one of the few that's waving a chainsword. Most have Bowie knives, for neatly removing hearts.
Icon bearer. Sorry about him being blurry, my camera sucks. I painted the helm on the icon/spear like a Space Wolf helm. He was on the look out for the wolf.
These boys are a mix of Possessed, Khorne Berzerkers and regular Chaos Space Marines. They were rather fun to build.
Time to make some noise! This will be Squad "Make You Sin" or was it "Let the Eat Distortion"? "Paint Hell Red"? That are one of 3, 6 - man Noise Marine squads.
I'm using Khorne Berzerker chests, bullet belts and chains are so punk. They still need heads and back packs, but for now I'm working on other things for the escalation league at my local game store. I need this next guy in my 1200 point list.
This is my Defiler, 110% F**ked, in progress.
He will be toting a Twin-linked lascannon and a very surgical close combat arm. Any remarks about the lascannon will be ignored in the order they are received. I'm adding some green stuff to his mohawk, I'll post an updated pic if I get a chance.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Just took these Of the Defiler head, now with Horror Hawk.
