I find myself, a stalwart marine player slowly moving towards the lures of chaos. So I thought why the hell not and made this thread.

In this, you are a Chaos Lord/Sorceror/Daemon Prince/aspiring champion etc.

You have your own ships, your own troops and, of course, your own goals and motives.

The area where this RP will be taking place is on a Hive/Forge world, similar in produce and importance to Armageddon, perhaps even more so due to its proximity to Cadia and the Eye of Terror. Warmaster Abaddon has tasked us (anyone who joins the RP) to attack this planet. The name of the planet is Korrephalia, and it just so happens to be heavily defended. An entire battle company of Imperial Fists, plus supporting elements are garrisoned there, along with Thirty thousand PDF and Imperial Guard forces, and new weapons and wargear are rolling of the manufactoriums every hour.

The problem is, everyone of the Generals sent to capture this heavily defended world is a rival with the others, be it through worshipped patronage, personal matter or some other reason, so infighting could cause a problem for chaos.

Well, reading it back, seems like one of my duller intros to a thread in this board... then again, I've only done one other .

Ah well, I'll come up with a name for my chaos lord later. In the meantime, I await rivals.

[also, you can play Daemon characters if you so wish, with entirely Daemonic forces]

Sure, I'll bite.

Name: Ikros (though call's himself Alpharius to anyone outside his cell)
Rank: Chaos lord
Legion/warband: Alpha legion
Wargear: Power armour, Power weapon, close combat weapon, personal energy feild generator (Iron halo, basically).
Age: Unknown, over 10'000 in "real space".
Appearance: Clean shaven, copper skin-tone, bald, heavy browed, arctic blue eye's, 11", 495lbs.
Background: Ikros has been with the legion since the begining, fighting alongside his Primarch on a score of worlds. He took the side of Alpharius without hesitation in the Horus heresy-for the most part out of loyalty, but some whisper it was also due to his long standing rivalry with Ultramarine's captain Lucius Mysander. After the defeat of the traitors and the subsequent "death" of Alpharius, Ikros took command of a small warband of Alpha legionarres and fled into the warp, from where he has only surfaced to lead devastating raids on Imperial held worlds.

Nice. <woo biters>.

I was sceptical about making this thread, but all seems well as you've both made good sign-ups. Wasn't required, but perhaps it's the fact you're both on the cult RP. Meep. Not sure yet whether or not to be a GM type person in this one, if we get an over abundance of players then that'll be my take, I think. Then again, I could fluff build for a future Chaos Lord. :/

Well, thanks for joining guys! Tbh, start whenever you feel like it - chaos aren't always formally organised 'n' whatnot, so makes sense some of you will go glory grabbin'.

Armour adds maybe 6 inches or something I'd guess - mostly what it adds IMO is bulk, it makes their form a lot bigger, I.E shoulder pads to name the most prominant example (along with the power pack, as a close second). The only hight addage is measured from the helmet and the boots. Boots isn't the right word, but y'know what I mean. Terminators will be anything from that to 15 foot, Dreads being 20 foot.

A light flashed on the panel next to the imposing throne, bathing the command deck of the ship in a cruel red glow. The marine sat in the chair did not react immediately, lost deep in thought, before tapping a switch and letting out a single rasping word. “Password?”
For a moment, there was silence, before a response crackled down the vox. “In the land of the pigs the butcher is king.” Ikros nodded and motioned for an aide to open the heavy blast doors, never turning around. Another Astartes walked through the door, bowing low to the back of the chair. Ikros spoke again. “Brother Amand, are we prepared for entry to the planet’s atmosphere?” The marine nodded, smiling under his helmet. “Yes Lord, our ship is ready for landing and we have so far remained undetected by Imperial forces. We can get in right under their noses. There is some insignificant Khornate fleet nearby on a similar course to us, but...” The marine tilted his head quizzically. “They will provide an ample distraction from our goals. They cannot stop us.” Ikros sighed, resting a hand on his chin. “Very well brother. Bring us in. You are dismissed.”

My turn!

Name: Gra'ksirra (The Story Teller)

Rank: Lord of Change ( a very old one at that )

Legion/ Warband: The Twisting

Wargear: Old, heavily worn tabard, and thick grime stained bandages enveloping most of his body, including his face. He carries A long wooden stick
Age: It was said, that Gra'ksirra was the first of the Tzeentchian greater daemons ever to have come into existence, but it is also said that all daemons appeared at the same time. Such is the way of Chaos. Needless to say, he is immeasurably ancient, and wise, and even warlords of khorne have paid tribute, and listen to his legends.

Appearance: He is a large Daemon; easily three times the height of a dreadnaught, however, his age has hunched him over, so he seems smaller than he actually is. His feathers, which on other Lords of change would be bright multi coloured, and painful for the eyes, are dull, and faded. His body has bandages wrapped round it, to, as legend says, to hold him together...

Background: The immeasurably old daemon, was given a great role by the master of change, Tzeentch himself. It is said, that Tzeentch asked Gra’ksirra to record all of history, and to retell any from it to any who would pay tribute to the Changer of ways. He took on this role, and created his own realm within the warp, a tiny moon, that drifts aimlessly through the warp. Here, upon the pockmarked surface, is a small house, and within it, a small study. It is from here, that he records everything that once was, and everything that will be. Recently, Gra’ksirra has been spotted frequently on doomed worlds, planets about to be destroyed by warp storm, or meteor. In the brief window of opportunity before the planets end, He will release his Warband, the twisted, upon the world, for his own amusement.

Additional info: Some say, Gra’ksirra is so old, that he now knows, every shape that a horror of Tzeentch will flow into. Which, considering horrors constantly change into different shapes..... He’s pretty damn old.

IC: A trio of sorcerers entered the ritual circle, each one garbed in fine silks, in every possible colour. And a good deal of impossible ones too. Around them, in a circle, were candles that gave off thick blue incense forming a cloud that hung above them, like an omniscient cloud. The three looked around them briefly, checking everything was in place, before beginning the ritual. They spoke in garbled tongues, language that assaulted the ears as it was spoken, actually causing pain to any within ear shot. Blood began to dribble from the sorcerers ears, and the pace of their chant began to quicken. It pulsed like a beating heart, and above them, the smoke began to swirl in an anticlockwise direction. Nearby slaves, and mutants, chained to the floor of the summoning chamber screamed and convulsed, as amongst the flickering smoke, they saw leering faces, faces that stared right into their souls. As the chanting began to reach its climax, The cloud above them had formed into a vortex, with a centre of calm in the middle, in which the three sorcerers stood. The eye of the storm, an area of pure warp energy. The prisoners by this time were dead; their souls sucked clean out of their bodies by the ritual. Suddenly, the chanting stopped, and abruptly, without any sort of warning, the chaos magi exploded in a fountain of gore, gristle and bone. In the centre of the carnage stood a huge figure. Its feathers were dull and greasy. Its lanky body was bandaged heavily with thick linen, and a slick of black fluid oozed from between them. Its staff was of simple design, no more than a simple stave, with the odd knot along its surface. However, it seemed to radiate obvious power. Its crooked frame was stooped, and its head bobbed on the end of its long thin neck like a bashed in egg. Resting upon the tip of its curved beak, was a pair of reading glasses, and in its left hand, was a long feathered quill, with ink still dripping from its tip. Gra’ksirra looked around his new surroundings with a deep sigh. People always summon him when he’s just in the middle of doing something important…

Now to my turn;

Solaris
Warband; Corrosive Wraiths

Wargear; Power Armor with intricate details complete helm included. A blade from long before the time of the Hersey, The armor is deep green, when looked at it seems as though the armor moves by itself. The Blade is of equally incredible detail. In the other hand he wields a shield in the shape of a a solid V, at the end of the point of the V is bladed and at the wide end the shield is about 4 1/2 feet wide. In essence a Bladed Storm shield that has be crafted into the shape.)

Back round, The Corrosive Wraiths are a branch of the Alpha Legion, they deal in stealth and attacks they deal lethal damage where exactly needed without any excess force. The Warband is about 600 strong with van extreme amount of worshipers. This Legion has been seen around the fringes of the galaxy where worlds were seemingly lost to orks or where under attack from the Evil Eldar raiding parties. The Corrosive Wraiths have strong connection to one an other, they kept the ideals of brotherhood as a valuable asset in combat, but their trust is something that is almost never given.

IC: ++Report Istel++

We are on route to the location given to us by the lord Warmaster Sir

We will see if this planet has any valuable assets we may use.

Yes Lord Solaris.

A scream rang out from the torture room then suddenly fell silent moments before the door opened and lord tobias stepped out. " report " he stated in his usual cold tone. the marine at the helm looked back and stuttered his response glancing at the torture room.he didn't want to end up like his predecessor " there is a undivided fleet entering the planets orbit and a tzentchian fleet just arrived from the warp". the man nodded as he put on his helm the eyes flaring to life between the mark of khorne emblazened on it. " excellent.. more skulls to add the skull throne ...but first perhaps they could be of use." he grabs his axe 'slaughterer' and heads towards the hangar. " hail the rest of the fleet have them move out from behind the moon and begin the assault". he pressed the intership com " THE TIME HAS COME TO MAKE THESE CORPSE WORSHIPERS CORPSES. BEGIN THE ASSAULT" he strides out of the room and into the waiting assault ship the rush of power he feels before every assault begining to rise in his chest as he straps on his jump packs . the raptor aspiring champion salutes as the ship begins to launch " all is prepared lord "

Lord Solaris, bridge reporting in, we have exited the warp and are now in close proximity with the planets gravitational pull.

Good, time to deploy in the shock and awe strategy, send in the wave of stealth gun ships, go in on the back of another legions frontal assualt force to ensure safety, no need to lose any brothers in the first drop.

Remember brothers, even though the Warmaster has tasked us with others to take this planet the relic armor of a great warrior supposedly rests in main stronghold on the planets surface, so we move with the shadows and strike with a vengeance the likes of which this planet has never known, you have your objectives now move out.

The planets' ground to space weapons opened fire, dealing heavy blows to the approaching vessels. The Khornate ship, closest and most eager, took the worst of the attack. The others didn't fair to well, and just then, a fleet of Imperial ships came to engage the chaos ones. Let the space battles commence!

Lord Solaris, incoming imperial fleet!

This was expected, notify the purgatory, inform them that they mission is now at hand. Realise all Talons, remove these copse loving maggots from the face of this galaxy and show them what the warp has in store for them.

Bringing the Purgatory around in into attack formation:

Let loose all guns! Solaris roared over all vox casters.

Lord Solaris? Istel said not quite sure if his lord was pleased or extremely aggraviated.

WHAT IS IT ISTEL! Solaris fumed only made angry by this set back of the ground assualt.

Sir the landing party has only made it half intack with the planets surface, we currently have only half the strength we had expected to get onto the planet. I report we have 35 Brother Marines on planet side as well as the stationed 165 in the strike cruisers. Istel reported.

Did we lose any brothers? No sir their crafts avoided total destruction but were forced to course correct in order to evade destruction. That matters little, the slave transports were meant for infiltration into the hive cities anyway and provide intel which can be obtained in other ways Solaris said as he pondered how this battle was going to go about.

Situation report, Istel remarked as a connecting symbol rose on the monitor in front of him, the Purgatory reporting in sir!

Inform the forces of that Horrendous Nurgle Loving captain of his fleet of the "plan" and have him create a wall with his bile infested ships, they will give off the right amount of radiation to mask this plan Solaris said as he devised how he could make use of all aspects of this battle.

Aye Sir! Istel said.

Good now get our strike cruiser within range of that damned main defense ship of theirs! Get me a download of all personnel of that craft, weak points and structural flaws and i want it NOW!

Sir that ship is the Imperial Navy's Oberon class battle ship, main structural points are as standard, just below the main cannon is the support structure where the cannon is housed.

Alright now we now our objective, any word from that Nurgle loving fool? (Leaving it open in case of some one wants to use it or just some general that is a minor character)

Yes sir, he willingly obliged to follow what he thought to be a brilliant plan that he created, which gave us the radiation shield that we required. Both the Purgatory and the Nurgle fleet are now moving within the main path of destruction for the battle sir!

Good Solaris thought to himself: The Purgatory seems like a basic strike cruiser but when looked at with more fine detail was in fact some poor rogue traders ship which was reconstructed to pose as an astartes strike cruiser. However it was neither of these, Solaris had been involved in space battles before and he had noticed that Astartes strike cruisers where generally bombarded with damage so as to diminish the amount of astartes on the cruiser as apposed to attempting to strike at the engine area the main target on strike cruisers was that of the bridge, however with this knowledge he had created this little experiment to see just how effective that thinking was... for the purgatory had as little crew as was needed all born in a void ship and all well capable hands, but slaves none the less, the purgatory had been outfitted with enough warheads in the cargo bay and 1 warpstorm missile, something that he and his brothers had come up with and had the capable hands of the Mars provide designs for, the war head was essentially a standard war head with a completely different purpose, the idea to the warhead was that it would open a hole to the warp as if one where attempting to travel through the warp but this missile only opened a hole for a set amount of time, within that time the hole to the warp created would act like every other warp storm before it, would consume most anything within the radius of the explosion. The draw back to it however is that it naturally gives off an extremely odd radiation signature that could be picked up with any basic scanning device.

That war head once activated within the very core of the Purgatory truly would be come purgatory for any within the kill radius, if all went according to plan the warhead could easily take out 2-3 battle ships, it seems as thought this massive fleet which was already numbered to be about 27 would be a formidable opponent for the forces of chaos.

Lord Solaris that Oberon class ship sir, is under the command of a daemon hunter inquistor!

Now that is interesting how long until within range of the assault pods?

25 seconds sir, however the stealth generators will be detecting in 5 sir,

20 seconds of possible detection, that number didn't sit right with Solaris.

Brother Istel, bring us around to the aft side of that ship, going head to head with an oberon class ship is something we may live but not enjoy, best to make entry right above the engine decks!

Aye sir, course corrected, within range in 1 minute 12 seconds and counting sir!

Good get the strike team ready I will be leading it with the standard assualt force, Istel you are to be in charge in my absence.

Understood sir, good luck hunting sir.

Death to the false emperor!

As the cruiser approached the warning lights went off signaling that the stealth engines had finally been detected and the barrage of the aft cannons began, however with only 15 seconds of time to respond there was only slight damage to the ship, and within that window of time the Astartes cruise the Night Stalker released half a company of Corrosive Wraiths into space towards the Oberon class ship.

the fleet behind the planets moon manuvers around just as the imperials arrive coming out of the shadow directly behind them and begins opening fire as the nurgle fleet moves into position. "damn that was close" tobais stated as the lascannon shot just over the right wing. he turned and looked at his troops and nodded his ascent. "prepare to jump, our target is the roof of the administarium." looking at the pilot he says " aim the lander for those planetary defense guns" the pilot was to busy to look away from flying to notice the wicked grin on his lords face " my lord we only have a pair of heavy bolters." watching as the raptors make their jump he steps forward towards the open hatch " khorne accept your offering " he said as he stepped out the hatch . the pilot looks up at his words "my lor..." tobais lands with the rest of the raptors just as the first drop pods smash into ground. the doors blow open and berserker squad and defilers charge out and begin attacking.

Katavus, please use speech marks! You have speech and thought mixed together a lot, and not a lot of description of what is going on around, and that huge paragraph had no full stops. I realise, there's you and Kharnflakes on one hand, Faunt and Ghosty on the other, but could you guys work on it just a little please? Thanks.

Anyways, same to you Kharn - the description thing. I had no idea you were in a lander until I got to the jumping out and landing on the administratum bit.

Grumbles asides...

So, Kharn, just exactly how many troops do you have? Same to Faunt, Ghosty and Katavus. What troops, what ships etc.

My bad, should've been a bit more specific when I said "have any troops you want."

Gonna have to make this a bit harder for you two (kat 'n' kharn)

The Khornate troops, unaware of their location charged and attacked anything they saw, but were repulsed by the Imperial troops who knew the area much better. Soon, they were reduced to several dozen troops, holding out in an administratum building.

Several Havocs, lord Tobais, three Chaos Space Marine squads and 40 Berzerkers were holding out, but the encroaching and overbaring Imperial forces just kept coming. Then they stopped. They were waiting for the chaos marines to exit, to gun them down. Atleast, that was their plan. But they are unaware of the seeing powers of Gra'ksirra, who may yet find reason to save the Khornate troops... (save 'em)

Lolz. BTW, you are a bird brain right? Pretty sure you're Daemon's Tzeentch, but I often confuse that dude with Slaanesh. A few days back, I meant to write Tzeentch, but wrote the name of those followers of the way of the Red Light district.

Anywayz, I feel really pushy :/ So sorry to you two, Kat 'n' Kharn.

But if you want this planet guys, you're gonna have to work together. THEN you can betray each other.

Better go save some khornate buttocks. and yes, i am a bird brain

Gra'ksirra looked over his assembled Warband. Three blocks of 30 marines of chaos, armour of rich blue and gold stood before him, unmoving and unflinching. The thousand son’s automatons. Behind them was an ever shifting tide of horrors and flamers of Tzeentch. Though it was impossible to tell and sense of coherence within the group, the greater daemon knew that there were three independent packs there, each led by a herald of Tzeentch. Above them, flying in a huge shoal, was Gra’ksirra’s pride and joy. Thousands of screamers of Tzeentch flapped and skimmed through the air above, buoyed up on the chaotic winds that shook the cavernous landing bay his force was assembled in.
Additionally his Warband included several thousand mutants; cannon fodder that he had no care whether they lived past the initial landing. Maybe, if ones tale of survival impressed him greatly, he would take it under his wing, and record its story.

His three lieutenants stood behind him, each one commanding the three sections of his force. The first was a chaos sorcerer of the name Anuberai. He was too lead the thousand sons and the mutants in first. He was tall, even for a marine of chaos, and his completely enclosing power armour was bedecked with scintillating silks and fabrics. Next, was a Daemon prince who had no set name, rather, it constantly changed, befitting of a daemon of Tzeentch. The prince however, whose body also shifted from form to form without a moment’s hesitation, was currently in the form of a Small man, hooded and cloaked. The third of his generals was basically a huge screamer of Tzeentch. It dwarfed every other daemon apart from Gra'ksirra himself in the landing bay, and was the size of an aquilla Lander.

The lord of change turned and addressed his generals in a quick and timely fashion.

“Anuberai, you shall lead your men and the gibbering swarm from the front, use the rubric to appear on top of their gun line; I want those battle cannons silenced.”

“At once story teller”

He then turned to the prince. “You, you shall wait for my signal. When it is given, cut of the humans escape route. I want them to flee from the skies. If this goes correctly, ehhh, if you do not fail me, The corpse worshippers will be massacred, and left to the horrors.”
He then turned on the spot and, leaning heavily on his staff, hobbled over to his small desk.

“Maybe I can finish this paragraph before I am needed on the ground” he sighed, and placing his ornate reading glasses on his beak, he continued his latest story.

***

Colonel Rumen of the 22nd vanguard infantry smiled to himself as he sipped on his coffee. It was going rather well he thought. The chaos forces had made a suicidal and unsupported attack on his sector, and had met stiff resistance. He had never seen so many chaos marines go down at once. Avenues were choked with corpses. And now, now he had them cornered in an administration building, barricaded in. he drank down another mouthful, and shuddered at the bitter taste. He looked down his gun line from the back of his army and smiled broadly, it made him proud seeing his men like this. In perfect formation, iron discipline maintaining the line. He turned and looked back at the building across the street. The chaos marines had barricaded the entrance, but Rumen new better. These were the followers of the thrice damned khorne; they won’t be able to stand hiding for much longer. They’ll come sprinting out, into his gun line, into the cannons of his demolishers.
However, as these thoughts formulated in his mind, the air just twenty paces from him began to shimmer, and he swore he could hear screaming close by. He turned and looked back over his soldiers, they too were looking worried.

“Soldiers, prepare to fire!”

The guardsmen formed into a hedge of bayonets, and aimed their lasguns into the shimmering light. The battle tanks began to find their range, so their opening shots would land true. Perfect discipline. Then the shimmering stopped. Silence. Rumen frowned and stroked his moustache. Someone coughed faintly behind him. He ignored it. But then he remembered something that seemed to niggle at the back of his mind. If he was at the back of the army, who is behind him coughing? He turned round, unsure of what to expect. What he saw, well it defied all possible logic. Standing only metres from his oblivious gun line were 90 chaos space marines. All standing perfectly still, guns raised and ready to fire. They looked like statues. He spotted the one who had coughed. Their leader, who was looking left and right, checking his men were in place. Reason told Rumen that these warriors couldn’t be standing before him, but reason also meant that they couldn’t have appeared behind him. Then, with one fluid signal from the sorcerer leading them, the thousand sons opened fire. The tightly packed soldiers of the imperial guard were easy targets, unable to avoid the fire, and most were already killed by the time the mutant swarm descended on them from a nearby alleyway. The battle tanks shot at anything they could aim their cannons at, but the appearance of three large groups of cackling horrors sealed their fate. The first demolisher was flipped on its back by a volley of daemon fire, the second by the prince’s charge, which now was in the form of a gigantic bull with an octopus for a head. Soldiers began to desert their posts and fled for the exits; however, as soon as they had stepped from the safety of numbers, a screamer would swoop down from over head, and slice them in twain. The massacre lasted for several more minutes, until as the smoke cleared, it was clear nothing still lived of the 22nd vanguard infantry.

Gra’ksirra landed amongst the carnage, and poked the odd corpse with his staff. Seemingly satisfied, he turned and looked over to the administration building. He waited for the khornate marines to surface.

OOC: that may of seemed a bit OP, but I wanted to emphasize how much of a master tactician Gra’ksirra is, he’s a rival of creed he is *nods*

ooc @dark well i was figuring i had a cruiser , 3 frigates each with 2 squadrons of talons hidden behind the moon. the ships that where visable where a 2 frigates and a destroyer as for ground troops 3 full squads of berzerkers and 5 squads of chaos marines vehicles are 3 raiders 2 predator anhilators 2 predator destructors 3 defilers 2 vindicators and 5 rhinos .

checking his chrono tobais nodded and glanced out towards the manufactorium the second wave. the true assault should be landing right..about ..now. "perfect timing ill have to give captain kade a rewa...what the hell who's firing" he looked around his forces where still here." ok boys lets go see who decided to crash our party..BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD" he crashes through the second story window landing with his raptors in front of the fleeing guardsmen cutting them down easily as they fled from the demon prince and his haunted armor troops. 'bloody witches ' he mumbles to himself . looking behind him as a land raider rolls up behind and a skull champion steps out " my lord the imperial ships didnt know what hit them with the nurgle fleet in front and us to the rear they had no place to run. we have gained two more frigates to add to our fleet. and a strike cruiser may be salvageable" the marine said from one knee. " very good captain over see the taking of the manufactorium i need to speak with our guest" he then turned and walked towards the demon ' khorne protect me from the witches trickery'

As the intense space battle commenced between both forces of chaos and the corpse worshiping fools Solaris's assault craft slammed with enough force to shake even the most hard battle worn of brothers.

BROTHERS into the warp we walk! Solaris shouted, the crew of all the assualt craft responded in almost perfect harmony, FOR THERE IS ONLY DEATH TO PROVIDE!

As the craft smashed against the aft side of the Oberon class battle cruiser Solaris withdrew his signifying weapons and as he took his sword in his hands the very blade itself seemed to seethe with power. When the hole had been craved by the craft Solaris was out and moving almost like a mist among the human crew as well as the servitors that served on the ship.

Solaris shouted in the vox, ALL TEAMS MOVE OUT! with 35 marines he had divided them up into 4 teams, 3 of 10 and himself with his personnel retinue which consisted of his most trusted brothers, all incredible god like warriors in their own right. His team was to take the bridge in conjunction with squad delta which had landed 2 levels above his own pod.

As the blood mist filled hall calmed down Solaris turned to his men, feast my brothers for tonight this corpse loving so called "Inquisitor" shall fell nothing but fear! The retinue took off bolters flaring axes slicing through bodies as they went.

Oris reporting at first objective, Oris was one of the champions leading a squad of brothers to the armory where they would rig charges to explode within 30 seconds, however Solaris knew that even 30 seconds was far too long than Oris's team needed to avoid any harm form that blast.

The hall to the bridge had been fortified as if this inquisitor had expected an Astartes assault. As the end of the hall Solars analyzed the forces that stood between him and his kill. There were fortifications supported by a total of approximately 70 gaurdsmen. He cursed at the thought of having such a long hall way but then simply accepted what the god of fate had given him and decided it was time to change these odds. As he gave the order bolter and fire and power filled the air.

Solaris charged from his crouched position seeing the trajectory even before the gun following it fired he had already moved out of its sight. The assault on the bridge had started and Solaris could almost taste the hatred coming from the bridge itself, o how he wanted to slice that power misguided fool in half Solaris thought. But he would have to wait his turn as he turned back to cut down yet another 3 gaurdsmen with one swing.

OOC: Looking good guys! And Ghosty, not too overpowered. I very much enjoyed reading it, and tbh, as long as you guys can write something within reason like that, then you can do almost anything. But auto-planet-win isn't the idea. Anyways, look forward to reading more! We might even have an Imperial Player soon... *coughNIkevcough*

Name: Arahgaz
Rank: Imperial renegade (so chaos in their eyes)
Legion/warband: ex - Ultra marines
Wargear: Power armour, Relic blade, stealth
Age: 130
Appearance: beard, weathered look, depressed, olive skin and brown hair (for now..)
Background: Arahgaz was a Scout squad leader for the Ultramarines 4th company, one day he heard whispers and each day they grew stronger, a visit to the Chaplin deemed him unsafe and to be terminated into a servitor. Arahgaz disliked this. Through his years of experience with the chapter he was able to escape the chaplins wrath and remainded hidden in "X" (i dont know what the hive world is called). with this act of unloyalty to the Emperor he was deemed renegade and an enemy to the imperium. Few weeks later, Arahgaz experienced a twisting torment which changed his mind, he discovered a deeper knowledge and he was experiencing signs of pysker abilities, he also grew stronger, his bones became lighter as he could run swiftly, quietly as his past roles enabled him to become a silent killer. Each day the whispers got worse and finally a chaos landfall arrived at "X". He was at a stage of mutation as his pyskic powers grew stronger. Arahgaz finnaly succumbed to the whispers as he collasped in a back alley of "X" when Chaos fighting became stronger, more deeper into the city for an unknown tactical advantage.

tell me what ya think

Scout squad leader... with power armour and a relic blade? And 'stealth' is more of an attribute or skill. IMO you should change his loadout to be more representative of your character (who's fluff I like very much, spellings aside). I would definitely not give him anything more than what a standard SM sergeant has access to in the codex, and when writing do remember there's a difference between chaos lord and rogue sergeant. Lol, don't take offense, I just hate it when I see people (not that I often do) make a good character, but play him as 10x stronger than they should be. Anyway, with him being able to go faster, I think maybe he should worship slaanesh, as he makes his worshippers reactions' faster.

All in all, you look pretty set to go!

Also, Korrephalia is the name of the planet, see OP. It is a Hive world and a manufactorum planet, similar to Armageddon. IMO, wait for one of the other players to find your collapsed charry. It'll give you an easier entry into the RP IMO. Lawl, I say IMO so much on here :p

I did say it twas meant to be a tad OP

Wont happen again plus, that was about one platoons worth of soldiers. Nought compared to 30000 men.... with spesh marines.

Nah, I enjoyed it. The sheer lolwinz of however many rubric marines just appearing infront of the guard, not moving at all. Then bang-a-bang-bang-dakka.

I kinda definitely really want to join my own RP, but that would be unfair if I was also the GM. Well, I suppose not, since I am the one going around enforcing fairness and a high quality of literature. Also, if THAT won't happen again, then this war is as good as lost for you.

Oh well, atleast I get to play the Imperials!

Captain Tarvan looked out across the now shattered buildings, at the tainted, the traitors, the Daemons. They would all pay dearly for their fallshoods soon. He turned, and looked down at the tiny man that was the planetary Governor.
"Governor Kellan, we must move to destroy these traitors now, before they can gain a foothold on this planet!" He demanded.
"Ah, my dear Space Marine, you are so hasty. You lack tactical expertise, it would seem. We must make plans! We must wait! Until the moment is right, we do not strike!" Kellan replied, looking up at the looming Imperial Fists captain.
"You... doubt my tactical expertise? Governor, I have lived for four hundred years, marched to war on thousands of planets, slain beasts you cannot even imagine in your darkest nightmares. You are a fool, Kellan, to underestimate the Astartes. And you are a fool to disrespect me. I do not like you, Governor, that I have made plainly clear in the three years my company has sat and garrisoned your pathetic domain. We could be fighting on the front, we could have pushed the Chaos forces so far back with the strength of my company that they wouldn't even be here now. But you requested an Astartes presence here on your planet, just so you could sleep easier at night." snarled Captain Tarvan.
"You are a thug, Captain Tarvan. I do not know how you were ever appointed to the position you are, you're more useless when it comes to tactics than a med-servitor. To be honest, I--gaaaargh!"
The eleven foot space marine grabbed the Governor by the throat, ever so tenderly as so to not break his fragile neck, and lifted him up above even his own head. "You would be wise to shut your blasphemous mouth, Governor. I only have so much patience, you pompous, useless waste of the Emperors' gift of life. You miserable pig! You disgust me."
Tarvan dropped the Governor as two Imperial delegates entered the room. He stormed past them, knocking them over. By the Emperor, if the Governor wanted the Space Marines to fight this war on their own, then they would.

The thousand sons set up a perimeter around the newely captured territory, and set about barricading it, with the precision of a automaton. Gra'ksirra had left the corpses to his daemons, and they set about them with a furious abandon, devouring flesh, burning the bodies and mutating the equipment left behind. The mutants had set up a massive camp site in the shadow of a huge sky scraper, prefferring the cool darkness than the burning sunlight. Gra'ksirra himself was busily conversing with a khornate marine, who apparently, was angered by the followers of tzeentch saving them.

"Tobais, i understand pefectly, that in your gods eyes, the fact you had to be saved from certain death by...us is a failure, and you must atone for your slights by shedding blood for your god, but you misunderstand our true reason for being here. This was our landing location. You just so happened to reach the same area, at the same time. Your stories will be forever recorded in the annals of time, so i suggest you calm down."

The chaos lord ground his teeth and flexed his inhuman muscles. He didnt have to listen to this, and yet... and yet this daemon deserved his respect. It was incredibly ancient, and equally elagant with its words. He growled with frustration.

"Daemon, i thank you for clearing a landing site. May i ask you your reasons for coming to this planet?"

Gra'ksirra smiled. Then snapped his beak together with seeming anticipation. "a great warriors story will unfold upon this planet, and i am here to make sure it is recorded."

With that, the daemon turned on the spot and hobbled back over to his waiting lieutenants.

As the battle for the bridge continued it appeared obvious that the outside space battle of the first assault had been a technical win by the imperials, it was the chaos forces that where pulling back however, the imperials had lost almost 50% of the their support fleet in the attack.

Solaris roared in excitement as another 2 guardsmen fell to his blade, he ducked a plasma shell from the bridge direction to see a line of ten servitors all with 2 plasma guns linked to their bodies instead of arms, He realized then that this inquisitor must not have wanted to fight in hand to hand with Solars, at this though Solaris buckled down his shield in front of his body and made an almost inhuman dash toward the line.

While the line had began firing they had shredded 3 of the squad that had come to support the assault on the bridge, and managed to liquidate the lower half of one of the retinue that followed Solaris. When Solaris reached the gun line not 5 meters from the bridge itself he barreled straight into the end 4 of the servitors basically snapping them like old dead tree branches. The other six where taken down from a combined fire of bolter and power weapons.

As Solaris approached the bridge he noted that there was 3 squads of guardsmen in a cresent moon shape facing the doorway, without fear or even a slight hesitation Solaris walked in with his retinue a now 3 man team from its once 5.

So you are the bridge master of this ship? Solaris questioned as he took a look at a man who was the size of an Astartes in power armor, wearing his own power armor, in both hands laid two impressive looking power maces.

Yes i am Lord Falerion of the Ordo Malaeos (sorry about the spelling was not sure how to spell that one) And by the Emperor's will and command you are to die here and now heretic!

Solaris looked around at the guardsmen and simply smiled and said, my poor, poor inquisitor i am afraid that it is you who will be dying today, As Solaris charged the inquisitor and the gaurdsmen brought their guns to bear the floor at the very front of the bridge erupted sending gaurdsmen in several directions some of which was one gaurdsmen going 3-4 directions at once. Solaris smiled as he thought death from within!

The inquisitor fought toe to toe with Solaris for 4 blows until it was painfully obvious that the chaos lord was toying with him. As the Inquisitor brought an overhead smash with one mace down upon the shield the other left side swipe met the sword with a parry that knocked the inquisitor back a step.

From where the front of the bridge had been there was now an entirely new squad from the Corrosive Wraiths, their armor all dark green with an almost wispy silver look to it. These where slaughtering the remaining gaurdsmen along with the retinue and the remaining marines from the assault.

After 1 minute of combat and all the remaining guardsmen were dead, the inquisitor was weary and had multiple slices that split the power armor open to the skin and blood was coming from multiple wounds. The inquisitor took two steps back and looked at Solaris before simply saying Death From Within my lord.

Good work Keaton, how did it feel to be an Imperial for a while? Solaris asked.

Everything is as you had predicted my lord these imperials where waiting for the arrival of the inquisitor 3 months ago after we killed him in transit and i took his position i did as was instructed my lord.

"A landing zone has been secured by the forces of Tzeentch and Khorne. The Imperial Forces aren't currently assaulting that position. Landing there should be no problem" Keaton reported.

"Good work" said Solaris, "it will be good to have you back in my Retinue, old friend. Now we can commandeer this ship and add it to our own forces! Get Istel to send over a taskforce to kill the remaining lapdogs, and a crew to man this ship. We will be commencing the ground assault soon - and a glorious victory awaits us!"

As they repositioned the Oberon class battle cruiser behind the moon with the rest of the chaos fleet, the Corrosive Wraiths began to deploy their forces; 150 Chaos Marines towards their intended landing zone. In addition, six Predators, a Vindicator and two Land Raiders were also prepped for deployment.

As Solaris finished reviewing the conflict that had already taken place, he turned back to look at the holo map of the city that he was planning to take for himself; with those Manufactorums he could create thousands of tanks for his force... yes, he thought, this will be our greatest victory! Over the Imperial scum, and the other Chaos Lords. Their Warbands will join mine should I beat their leaders. But it shall take a lot of preparation, and for now, they may prove useful in taking this planet.

OOC: just letting you know void the 35 marines was a decoy and was actually not attacking the main hive city i was thinking about having my 200ish marines go take another city but killing the same city works for me. Yes sorry about the horrible grammar, can't teach an old dog new tricks I suppose. Ahh don't worry i will work at that, ok so then the 35 marines sent in the original assault are on the ground with the other forces, cool. Thanks for the clearing up of that Dark.

Kat, I recommend two things:
1) Write your RP posts in Word first, so that you can check your spellings,
2) Please use speech marks! Sixty-six and Ninety-nine! Whatever you wanna call 'em; " and ".
(Just FYI, you use 'where' a lot when it should be were)

Also, please remember that there are 30,000 Imperial guard and PDF's on the planet, along with an armoured Imperial Fists battle company. So if you attracted all that... 35 marines and two tanks ain't gonna last long. So perhaps you should edit your post to say something like this instead of what you wrote (otherwise you will need rescueing like Kharnflakes did):

"A landing zone has been secured by the forces of Tzeentch and Khorne. The Imperial Forces aren't currently assaulting that position. Landing there should be no problem" Keaton reported.

"Good work" said Solaris, "it will be good to have you back in my Retinue, old friend. Now we can commandeer this ship and add it to our own forces! Hey dark I hope this is the thread you were talking about......Either way I'll post my troop info.

Colonel Nikev Sism
Leader of the Korrephalian PDF Company - Codenamed - Our Lady's Grace(I don't know if you'll recognize this Dark, but my character always must link to Nucia ^.^)
We are a melee experienced unit that prefers to get down and dirty with swords and fists over guns and cannons. Are a proud regiment and despise Chaos and all the like. If it looks Chaos and we see it, its dead.
Most hated Chaos God - Khorne
Loadout - Standard las-guns with more of shortswords than bayonets(although Heavy Teams are equipped with las-pistols)
BattleCry *FOR OUR LADY'S GRACE!*

yea I know that WAY too much information but I can't story post without the Okay from Dark and Just saying my name and my regiment isn't good enough. ^.^
Can't wait to start destroying you Chaos Lot

It is one way of RPing, and it is more "real". But the point of RPing is to make a fun story and see how it all developes. BTW, NIke, you'll be the only one without the god like view lawlz.

But, if that is the way you wanna do it, just refer to Captain what's-his-name that I posted IC a few pages back. I shall give thy thee tactical data. In PM or post, I don't mind tbh.

Colonal Nikev walked into the command station, and stalked over to the huge figure in yellow armour. "Captain Tarvan I presume" Nikev said, and the eleven foot figure turned and replied, "you presume correctly, Colonal."
"What's the tactical situation?" The Colonal queried.
"There was a space battle, our fleet lost half of its ships and the flagship, which had an Ordo Malleus Inquisitor aboard who is presumed dead. They claimed the flagship for their own fleet" Tarvan paused, then continued;
"Chaos Space Marines worshipping Khorne and brandishing Chain weapons and bolt pistols made a foolhardy assault, and were pinned down by a fully reinforced platoon. The vehicles they deployed were destroyed, and are being incinerated as we speak. Our estimations show that the Khorne warriors were reduced to a third of their original attack number, and were pinned inside an administratum. The platoon, however, was wiped out - entirely. Several witnesses all described what appeared to be a mass teleportation ritual of some kind - The Sons of Magnus, lead by a massive Daemon. A Daemonic horde accompanied the attack, and they have set up a perimeter. They have not yet advanced, and neither have we. We are guessing that they are possibly still waiting for more forces to arrive - they don't have enough warriors to take this planet yet. We have thirty-thousand Imperial Guardsmen and PDF warriors. I have my own battle company. We could crush them now!" Tarvan turned to look at the Colonal.
"But your insolent Governor insists on not attacking, and I intend to attack with my own forces alone if need be. Colonal, your men will follow you, not that fat oaf of a Governor. The question is, will you follow me?"

Ikros reclined back on his throne with a smile. This was going better than could ever have been expected-true, one of his two cruisers had taken damage, but it was moderately light and no where near the extent the other warbands in the area had sustained.
The others....Ikros furrowed his brow in a mixture of contemplation and anoyance. He cared little for who took this world in the end, just that he gained his prize, but for the time being some of them still presented a threat to his operation. The idiot Khorne worshippers wold be simple enough to manipulate, they'd just blaze a trail of destruction onto the planet anyway. The Wraiths were in many ways his brothers, but they were still not of his cell and therefore a liability. They could put the mission at risk without even intending to. The Daemon would be tricky-Ikros had learned long ago not to trust any dwellers of the warp, and his prescence was a cause of much concern for the Alpha legionarre. He would have to tread carefully around THAT one. Finally, there was those hated Ultramarines, even if they were renegade, but Ikros would deal with them in time.
"Amand." The lords voice down the vox was harsh. "Are we ready to commence with landing?" There was no reply, but a green blip on the panel confirmed it in Ikros' eyes. Rising from his throne, and motioning for his two bodyguards to attend hime, Ikros stalked towards the landing craft bays.

Gra'ksirra amused himself with the only yet living imperial guardsmen in the perimeter, a commissar of, jusding by his medals, formidible repute. With a flick of his wrist, the victims arm changed shape, into a long and slender tentacle, much to the terror of the commissar. The new protrusion then began to grapple with its own body, in an attempt to end its own life. The lord of change suddenly stopped. He sensed that someone was thinking about him. Discarding his plaything with a swift twist at the mans waist, he stalked to the centre of the courtyard he was established in. The remains of the platoon were being placed in the shape of various chaotic runes, that pulsed with unnatural light. He mused to himself that this signal will attract in reinforcements from the warp. He did hope to see his old friend again...

Kharnflakes... as if I'd never guess...
Katavus and Fauntleroy, as alpha legionnaires, I would assume you're both chaos undivided, but I'd like confirmation or correction on that.

IC:

Space. The dead silent vacuum that houses everything that is outside of the ether. Usually the space between worlds, asteroid fields, moons, anomalies and other such common things is empty. Occasionally a fleet waits in orbit of some planet, or travels at incrediable speeds, such as the near-impossible Necron vessels.

On the outskirts of the Korrephalia system, a small eruption of light pierces the darkness, then disappears. Slowly, elegantly, a small craft - comparable to a space marine strike cruiser, but far less obvious: its ancient hull almost jet black, but with closer examination, it can be determined that it is actualy very, very dark grey. The entire ship is that colour, and no light can be seen coming from it - none at all. It looked like a ghost ship, abandoned and left dead in space to drift the void between worlds. But it is far from abandoned. And it is slowly, silently, creeping towards Korrephalia.

Nikev looked at Captain Tarvan "Follow? You expect but a mere platoon of men to accompany you to a fight which would mot certainly spell our doom? You wish mere men to fight against Warriors of Chaos, Daemons, and Heretics for the God Emperor of Man? By His Holy Name we shall follow! We would follow you into the Eye of Terror if it would keep the Imperium safe for that much longer! My men are at your disposal! I am on good terms with a good deal more colonels, I have no doubt in my mind that they would follow if they were asked. If you wish I will ask them when our meeting is over." Nikev thought of the glorious fight for the God Emperor that was to come " Tell me when you need my men ready, we can be ready anytime you need us. I do however need time to talk to the other commanders, if you wish their support and troops." Nikev let the Captain think on this for a moment.

Ikros drummed his fingers impatiently on the side of his helmet as the landing craft's engine whirred, descending towards the surface. So far, so good-the Imperial dogs hadn't detected them as of yet. Ikros knew that if they were spotted they wouldn't stand a chance against the enemies firepower with these meagre craft, but that hopefully wouldn't be an issue.
After 5 more agonisingly long minutes, the two landers (one from Ikros' ship, and one from the other) touched down on the surface with a thud. Walking out into the crisp and bitter air, Ikros gave another slight smile as he heard the sound of heavy ordanance fire far off in the distance-his fellow lords of Chaos were providing an ample distraction for him. Turning to face the band of 100 marines that stood before him, Ikros unsheathed his blade and raised it skyward, before adressing them.
"We do not come here today to bring another world into the dominion of chaos. We do not come here today to merely slay our enemies. And we do not come here today to try and prove ourselves in the eyes of uncaring gods. No, we are here today for a much purer and nobler purpose, one that will see us rise to great power and presteege in the eyes of our brothers in the last legion. You all know the mission, and you have all had a say in planning it as we have always maintained. Victory on this world brings us one step closer towards our ultimate goal-the death of the false Emperor! For the Primarchs!"
One hundred voices echoed back-"For the Primarchs! For the Primarchs! For the Primarchs!"

OOC: Ikros doesn't really follow any gods, so I suppose you could call him chaos undivided.

Tobias looked around the manufactorum with a wicked smile on his " well done men, well done" he picked up a combi-melta off the assembly line examining it closely before loading it and attaching it to his weapons harness. turning to his second he nods " have everyone rearm and make any repairs to there armor then lets get this building fortified and move those newly built vehicles in place . put the manticores and hydras on the roof and get those medusas and basillisks manned. once the imperials are out of ammo this world will fall quickly"

You think pts cost matter in RPG's? You're dead mate.

Ikros crouched low, concealing himself in the tall swaying grass. Below him lay a major Imperial communicae center, linked to the entire planets vox-nets. Capturing it and putting it to his own purpose's would be instrumental to his overall plan. Turning to glance at the warband of 50 marines (the other 50 had stayed at the landing site with Amand), and motioned for one of them to attend him. The Marine crawled over, giving a light salute as he neared.
"Brother Sakea, have we been detected yet?" asked the chaos lord, voice devoid of emotion.
"Ay my lord, our stealth feild has worked as expected-we are nothing more than a blind spot on their sensors." replies Sakea, grinning widely. Ikros nodded, before turning to the rest of the fallen astartes.
"No prisoners. Bring back any prisoners and I'll have them-and you-shot." Ikros instructed severely, discounting the low murmur of discontent. "On my signal, we attack. Fire until you can see the white's of their eyes. Three, two-"
No sooner had he said two, then a smalk ammo dump outside the installation exploded in a collossal ball of flame, scattering guardsmen and sending them into a panic. A harsh voice swept down into the clearing-"BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!". A tide of blood-red clad warriors flood down towards the center, wooping and cahjooling as they hacked and chopped at the pitiful humans.
Ikros and his band could only watch in aghast horror as the forces of Tobias Kent run rampant over their carefully laid plans.

Henry stared in horror as they came under attack. Jim prodded him and said, "ey mate what's that? In the grasses? 'Cause I sure as hell don't remember blue grass being there before our lunch break..."
Henry grabbed his binoculars and peered. Sure enough there was something there. If it was allies, then they'd be helping by now, and why'd they even be hiding anyway?

"Jim, it's more of 'em. Tell the gunners!"
"Don't have to tell me twice!" Jim said, as he ran down the steps of the watchtower, and into the parade ground, where several tanks were arrayed.
"Artillary! Aim for the fields! There's more of those gakkers! Blast 'em! Blast 'em to hell!" He shouted.
One of the crew nodded at him and gave him the thumbs up, and the two men began loading their vehicles' earthshaker cannon.
He opened his mouth and covered his ears, staggering back as the earth shock with energy as the massive shell was lobbed high over the defenses.
A massive explosion could be heard from the fields of high grass, and soon the other crews got the idea. Soon, all six of the tanks were loaded, and all waited for the command to open up in a mass bombardment as a full platoon of men ran into the area, throwing up sandbags and getting into firing positions. Lasguns, bolt pistols, heavy bolters and lascannons all aimed at the massive twenty foot reinforced ceramite doors. The killing zone was ready, and additional guardsmen were filing out in an 'orderly' fashion. In the outer courtyard, fighting, dying and chainswords could be heard, along with viscious chain weapons revving. A nearby guardsman gulbed, but Jim felt confident. "Not this day" He mumbled as he raised his lasgun, standing on the sidelines. "Not this day!" he said a little louder. "Not this day. Not this day. Not. This. Day!" Soon the chant picked up. A bewildered commissar at the heart of the force stood confused, looking like someone who's just been put out of a job. But Jim knew he'd be needed when they broke through. Only madmen or psycho's would try to take this place with those numbers. Unfortunately, the enemies outside were both of these things and more besides. But the war chant was so loud now it roared over the din of battle outside the inner doors. But this was drowned out intern as somewhere at the back someone yelled, "FIRE!" and the basilisks let loose. Six very powerful shells were flung over the walls, and into the fields. Surely nothing could, or would, survive that explosion when it came. Almost at the same time, a thump came from the other side of the door, and the defenders knew this was it.

Ikros raised himself up from the grass as the first blasts hit home, slaying seven of his brothers. Looks like their was going to be some action after all. Drawing his power sword and seconary combat sword, Ikros charged towards the base with his fellow legionarres yapping at his heels.
It took a little under 30 seconds for the marines to reach the base, and even for followers of chaos the slaughter they enacted was shockingly brutal. Pirouetting in a neat arc and swinging his blades as he had been tought all those millenia ago, Ikros dcapitated five guardsmen in short succesion. Smashing another's face in with a quick blow from his elbow, the Chaos lord breifly looked round to see his brothers gunning down the foe mercilesly at point blank range. Turning to see a berserker of Khorne rushing towards hinm axe raised, Ikros nonchalontly drove his power weapon into it's chest before cleanly removing it's head with a second blow.
Feeling a lasgun shot patter harmlessly off his power armour, the Alpha legionarre flicked his head round to see an Imperial dog charging towards him with sme pathetic battlecry upon his lips, before stopping and staring at his foe with total and utter fear upon his face. Ikros cocked his head inquisitively to the side before kicking him square on in the chest, shattering his ribcage and puncturing his organs. The man coughed up blood and the remnants of his lungs as he collapsed to the ground and died.
An axe swung towards the back of Ikros' head, and he let it get withing a few centimetres before spinning around and deflecting the strike. Landing a vicous headbutt on the foe, Ikros moved his sword into a scissor-like pose around the enemies neck. Smiling, the scion of Alpharius asked a single question.
"Tobias Kent I presume?"

Nikev paced back and forth between the officers who had gathered at the meeting he had called. "Now, to begin I'd like to say good morning to you all" they all replied with good mornings. "As you know this world is under attack by multiple Enemies of the Imperium. Now the Captain has come to me and has addressed me that our Governor wishes not to attack, but rather to sit back and 'plan' while the enemy ravages our homeland! I don't know about you but that most certainly does not sit well with me at all! The Captain plans on leading a force to drive the archenemy off of our planet and save her people, Me and mine plan on assisting him all the way. We need your help though, we cannot hope to win this battle without the support of the various regiments and soldiers of the Imperium that reside here." "But Nikev" Interrupted Langstal" We have strict orders not to engage until our planetary Governor gives the word" "Yes, I know" Nikev replied "But you do realize that that strategy leaves our people that we are sworn to protect in the God-Emperor's Name to die horrific deaths as the Governor makes it safe for himself. Think not of the Families that are being destroyed Right NOW! What do you think is going through their minds? HMM? Cause I think they are wondering where is the Hammer of the Emperor to protect us from this Heresy! Damnit how do you think this will also affect morale? If we stay and wait, guardsmen families will be destroyed. What then will they fight for? They will feel lost and we will surely fall. Making a stand and taking it to the Archenemy will surely increase morale ten-fold and we can destroy them before they kill more innocent Imperial Citizens. Now I ask you, Will you fight alongside us?"

A few of the officers got up and left the room. After a moment two more officers got up to leave the room, pausing briefly, they sat back down.

"Thank you" Nikev said to the remaining officers " I will inform the Captain of who we have with us, I will vox you all with details about our movement when I can." With that Nikev left the room to tell the captain.

The valkyrie touched down amongst the writhing, seathing mass of tentacles, mutations and slime. A living, if you could describe the things that made it up with that word, tide of blue and purple colour. A pathway was cleared from the Valkyrie's rear hatch to the huge Daemon that stood, its tattered and dusty wings sagging uncharacteristically for a Greater Daemon, especially of Tzeentch. The Daemons were barely restrained they each clawed and snarled at the figure that had left the Valkyrie, who was walking through the cleared space up to the huge God made living. "I have held them back as long as I can! The Space Marine leader is already planning to attack you, great one" The Governor gave a slight bow of respect to the chicken thing he seemed to worship, then continued. "I also believe that most of the Imperial Guard generals will stand by him. Those that won't... well, I suggest we move quickly to falsify orders to eliminate them, before they also seek to fight against us. I have come to seek your great and undeniable wisdom, oh great one of the Changer of Ways. But, if I may," he added another bow here, "time is short. I am expected back soon... and if they suspect anything, my cover will be broken."

OOC: don't kill 'im, Ghosty, I know there's a part of you that wants to. But not to worry, all pawns have their time... be it spawndom or a bolt pistol to the back of the head, it matters not in Tzeentchs' impossible and unknowable plan... mwahahha! Urm, yes.. but I'm an "imperial" roleplayer... Hehehe.

Then the massive wall ahead exploded outward, sending shrapnal large enough to fell even a space marine, flying everywhere. A dozen marines, blue or red, went down. A chunk of rock smashed into the side of Ikros' head, and he was knocked over, dropping his power sword and it skidded out of sight... into the mass of confused traitor marines. Looking up, Ikros saw a small parade ground, with six dozen infantry squads, numerous heavy weapons teams and three basilisks all facing them. The basilisks' guns were smoking, and all aimed forwards, so that their shots would fire forward instead of up. Then they fired. And many more than a dozen chaos marines died this time, and valkyries could be heard in the distance...

edit #2.

brief of what I wrote:
NO more big fight scene starting like Ikros did, because it's moving too fast for now, and I need to make the maps and stuff.. and I shoulda done it in the OP yadda yadda yadda. My bad. I sounded more apolagetic in the other one lawl.

If there is to be fighting before I make the map, then it'll because I started it.. is that 'kay with everyone for now? We'll just wrap this fight up and we'll all be happy!

Hehe. TBH I think making him into a pile of tentacles would be more fun.

IC: Gra'ksirra smiled to himself; they were just pawns in a massive game of intrigue. Smiling openly, his enormous head lowered itself to the governor’s level, and whispered something indecipherable in his ear. The short, portly man seemed to stiffen, and then a grotesque smile spread across his face.

"Yes my lord that would be a most satisfactory reward for my allegiance."

The man turned and strode back to his Valkyrie.

Gra'ksirra hobbled through the now ever changing landscape of his base of operations. A gargantum mouth opened nearby, and yawned lazily. To his left, an atrophied arm lifted itself up from the pile of tentacles it was nested in, and waved at the Valkyrie as it passed. The lord of change carried on moving until he reached what had used to be the administration building. Smiling at its altered shape, he stepped through the toothed archway into the cool, wet darkness within. He got to the centre of the cavernous interior, and waited.

“Greetingssss old friend” A mysterious voice echoed from within.

“Gra’ksirra smiled and replied “Greetings, my enigmatic friend. Who are you impersonating today?”

A bloodthirster of khorne stepped into the light, its huge musculature rippling with barely controlled rage. This snarling visage snorted, foul steam billowing from its nostrils. But then, then it seemed to decompress, shrink, change…. Its wings seemed to meld into a cloak, its horns and fangs into tentacles… Its great axe into a small staff. The changeling stood there in its horror form and bowed.

“What brings you to thisss planet Gra’ksirra? And why do you want to see me?”

The lord of change smiled, and began to fill his master plan in to the changeling.

anyways back to ic

tobais looked around the manufactorum that was now an impressive make shift fort and smiled. taking the stairs up to the top level he surveyed the carnage he and his troops wrought. a beep from his vox drew his attention " report " he said in a slightly aggitated tone . the communications officer responded quickly "sir we have detected a strike cruiser inbound, it is still of unknown origin" a wicked smile crossed his face at this news 'finally a challenge' "very well move the fleet to the other side of the planet , well let the others have some fun. while your there begin orbital bonbardment of all imperial communication centers and military installations ." he turns off the device without another word and turns to the marines manning the basillisks . " open fire on the barracks first then the goveneors palace "

I'm still waiting for you to do your thing with the Governor........

Why do I have to talk to him again? Sure, the SM commander would like to throttle him. But I see no reason to talk to him.

Guys, just post what your dudes are doing... we just need to move the story along a bit.

Bit busy atm, so I can't do too much to this thread unfortunately.

Anyways, perk up and have fun!

I will come and ask you, before you, yourself burn away, to stop calling my greater daemon of tzeentch, a being of unparralelled power, a muthaf*king chicken! he has arms for gods sake!

Walking back and forth in front of the commanders that stood before him, Nikev looked across the faces of the men and women he knew that he may very well not see again.
