All that is really new to post is that I now have a blog dedicated to the army.

Now that its summer time and I have decided to take the summer off and not take any summer classes this year I woud get stuff done!
My army of Space Wolves is a chapter lead by Thoradin Whitefang, a wulfen, his symbol is a profile view of a Lightning Blue Wolfhead. (can be seen on my models, and i will throw a drawing up of it later)
Also you can see what the Storm Wolves wolf standard looks like, one of my grey hunters is bearing it into battle!
There will be more history to come, been writing a bit here and there and once I finish my wulfen terminator squad I will post the story/bio.

My Army list consists of the following:
HQ's: Logan Grimnar, Njal Stormcaller, Ragnar Blackmane, Bjorn the Fellhanded, Thoradin Whitefang (Wulfen), Wulfgar Thunderfang (Thunderwolf Wolf Lord), Wolf priest, Rune Priest x4 (its for an evil annoying list)
Elites: Dreadnaughts x5, Wolfguard x20, Wolfscouts x10, Wulfenguard Terminators x5 (WIP)
Troops: Grey Hunters x20 (20 more being built), Bloodclaws x15 (retired)
Fast Attack: Thunderwolf Calvary x4, Fenrisian Wolves x16
Heavy Support: Crusader, Land Raider, Vindicator x2, Whirlwind, Longfangs x15
Dedicated Transport: Rhino x6, Drop Pod x5, Razorback

Looks good, i like the way the lighter blue gives it a glowing effect like a rune priest.

i like the blue, it pops. Im iffy on the dreanot legs but what ever you like man, cool stuff.

These are looking great! The Wulfen Terminator looks amazing, as does the marine and the dread! I think Logan needs a little more Ice Blue, but that's just personal preference. Keep it up!

I love to see people move away from the GW style of army. You keep the feel of the SW but come up with a style I haven't seen. Very well done.

Thank you! When reading the codex for the millionth time, I try and feel as though I am a space wolf and how i would have my chapter decorate their armor and stuff.

What is really disgraceful is the speed with which that termie Wulfen got finished to a good standard- no fair man!

I thought Thoradin fit right and, and while Logan's paint job is different as he has red rather than blue, it makes sense that the king of all space wolf companies may have a unique color scheme / armor pattern. Strangely enough, i did exactly the same thing with my Tau, denoting the Commander w/ red where other models stuck to the blue scheme. Additionally, Mozilla includes an automatic spell check feature you may find helpful.

I like the models so far they have all looked cool. Simple but effective paint scheme. I would enjoy playing against an army that looked like yours.

Thank you! Ice Blue is my favorite color and it reminds me of lightning....And I imagine the space wolves to like lightning.
Also my base is a Dark Shadow Grey with a Azurmen Blue wash

Since you updated Thoradin, i think Logan really needs that touch up.

I base with a "Dark Shadow Grey" - which is half a bottle of Vallejo's Dark Grey and half a bottle of Shadow Grey.
And Logan is getting an update...but should i give him ice blue?

As far as the base colors go, that's good to know. School is almost out for the summer and I am looking forward to starting the painting of my wolves. I am wondering if GW's spray primer is the best combination of value and quality. I also think i'm going to airbrush the base.

As far as the Great Wolf goes, it's hard to say whether or not to give him the blue. I'm of two minds about it because the blue looks awesome. The lightning feel it gives is uniquely space wolfy. It would also allow it to tie in well with the other models I've seen. I kind of like the red, as it is bold and allows him to stand out.

I've got the same model and have no clue how I'll paint it. I know I want to go with the dark armor with the white wolf on top. I have not yet decided whether or not my "Doom Wolves" will be black with red trim or black with the ice/lightning kind of blue.

There is to many choices to make in painting these dudes. They are to epic not to get it right.

Actually I think I am gonna do the blue on him and steal your white wolf pelt.....
But I use the balck spray primer from GW and then do my dark shadow grey where i want it over that, then i do the azurmen blue wash before i do my details

Where are those thunderwolves from? does GW make them or are they a third party model?

Your termie is the reason I want to start up SW as a side army.

This is very similar to what i have wanted to do with my wolves. I wanted a darkere grey, and i do not like the yellow all over the tradiitonal GW wolves. I must admit i never thought of the dark grey and iced blue but now that i see it i am very tempted and may have to tweak it for my own models.

I agree, Logan is defiantly going to feel upstaged next to Thoradin, Because he looks bad ass. Man I love claws....

Quick question for you, Are you using slate on the bases? It looks really cool. I am thinking about some kind of glacial base, though I have to admit I have no idea how to go about it. Is the Azurmen blue the color we see on the iconograhy of his claws?

And thanks for the link to the Thunderwolves, those are both cool and quasi affordable.

No Azurmen Blue is wash i use on the dark shadow grey, the bright blue is ice blue.
I call it electric blue hehe

Great work on everything so far. However, on your Wolf Lord, his loincloth has the Chaos symbol on it. May want to file off me thinks.

The paint scheme is excellent, the way that the light blue participates with the other colors on each fig really makes these Wolves come alive.

Were did you get the wolves for the TWC I can't find decent ones without buying canis 3-5 times

Here are pics of Two of my HQ's Thoradin and Wulfgar. Thoradin is `90% done, needs some touch ups imo. And Wulfgar needs to be painted, built him last night.

Are the pictures visible in the first post? On my compy I can see them, but I dont know if anyone else is having a problem seeing them.

Like the style of the army, different I a subtle way that still fits with the 40k universe. IMO that's the best sort of army to have, one that is credible and obviously 40k with different influences. Good luck with completing the army, I really like the Logan mini, the sword especially, keep up the good work

Just some pics of a Wulfen Lord (Wolf lord that has evolved into the Wulfen state)
It is part of a terminator squad that has evolved into wulfen (werewolves)
They are also lead by a wolf priest to help control the beast inside them.

That is really awesome, the base model is a rat ogre correct?

The base models I am using are confrontation wolfen of yllia. These are kinda cheap plastic models and are really a pain in converting.

An update on my Wulfen Terminator conversion. Once I complete it, I will be working on putting the others up. Also I will be dedicating this summer to painting the main forces of my army. SO keep an eye out

I used a confrontation model as the base, and added a lot of green stuff for armor plating, more fur and to add some muscle where i rotated his arm.

quick update:

been working on my wulfen terminators. its a Close QUarters specialized group, here is a WIP of the heavy flamer wulfen term.
I have some more grey hunters about done, just need to touch them up and i will upload them.

Another Update! Here are 3 models i Just painted. 2 are Grey Hunters for my Elite squad of Grey Hunters, and the other is a my Rune Priest, Lokken.
The standard is my chapters standard, a Storm Wolf! Also the pics are in the orignal post and same with an update in text!

That last model, I love the conversion, but I think the wings and the scrolls get lost in the blue and other brighter colors on the figure. I would like them to be stronger colors so a better comparison is seen, if that makes sense. maybe just a brighter white?

or maybe its just the shadows on the model thats getting me off.

Honestly the rune priest isnti one of my favorite models, I wasn't really inspired to make it. I will touch it up here sometime, but first I need to get my main squads painted xD
Also thank you very much about the Storm Wolf, I am drawing up one currently to paint on the sides of my crusader yes i free handed the storm wolf.

ANother update on my Storm Wolves. This is my Thunderwolf mounted Wolf Lord, Wulfgar Thunderfang. He wields a THunderhammer, stormshield and wears runic armor. The wolf model is canis based, but there has been a lot of green stuff and adding from other models. Hope you enjoy! Also put this image in the main post!
