The howl deafens Rachel, and she falls to the floor clutching her ears. Preventing the alpha howler from pouncing on her, you slash it's right lung with your combat knife. (Remember, Rachel has the power saw.)

i go left down the passage with the newly found assault rifle in hand and ready to fire

I take the power saw and rip into the howler. "RACHEL, SHOOT IT!"

Strelok is startled by the man sudden action ."I"m Strelok, I was a scientist here, what are you doing here?"

I stumble in pain as blood spurts from my wound, after the few seconds i take another leap at James.

You kick open the door to the greenhouse, and the humid air hits you like a hammer, and you can see plants neatly in rows along the walls.

i slowly enter the room covering my face with my sleeve looking from side to side and searching for supplies and survivors

The alpha takes a wound from the power saw, and Rachel fires point blank at it, causing foul blood to spew from the wounds.

Felling the full forces of the wounds i have taken I start to flee from battle.

I slash again in an attempt to behead it and Rachel tried to shoot at it's legs

A deformed monster composed of at least three bodies shambles into view, a crab-like claw adorns it's right hand, and a seething mass of whip-like fronds lash out from it's left. It lets out a gurgling howl, and shuffles closer towards you. Mandible like mouthparts twitch as it seems to scent the air.

The alpha retreats into the vents, hissing a challenge as it does so, dodging the shots from both you and Rachel, leaving you two alone in the hallway.

i aim my rifle at the creature and fire away 1st a burst to see if im damaging it or hitting it then let it all out if im hitting this thing (if i have any grenades or explosives i use a couple of those

I sniff the air looking for injured so I can return to the favor of the Hive Mind.

"Shut up" The soldier kicks you in the face, and your head snaps back. Two more soldiers come out from an aisle near the corn, and train their charge rifles on you. "You're coming with us, make any sudden moves and you're dead, got it?"

"Now would be a good time to have Varz with us, he can always sense where people go. In fact, I wonder where Varz is? Anyway, lets go to the Greenhouse, if thier not there then we'll have to return here and go to Engineering."

You enter through the blood stained Greenhouse door, and are immediatly hit by the humid air. You and Gaz can see a UN Psych, James, and Rachel engaging a crablike creature composed of at least three bodies. It's suffered a wound from James, and it's right arm gouts out foul blood and ichor. You also can hear the sound of laser fire and howling deeper within.

"Rachel, James! We're here!"

I then rush into the fight, and fire my assault rifle at the creature.

You feel a soldier take up position behind you, and you feel the butt of his rifle crack into the back of your head, and darkness takes you.

You awake strapped to an operating table, a rather nasty bone drill and a set of calipers are positioned above you. A man wearing the garb of a Lazarus scientist looks down on you. "My name is Herbert West, and as of now, you are my prisoner. How many others are here with you? I didn't think the Conclave even knew of our existence."

With incredible force, the drill punches down into your skull, spraying your body with blood, bone, and jellied brains. As the whirring stops, and your corpse is still, the scientist and the soldiers leave the room, leaving your battered corpse laying on the table.

Your corpse twitches, and long shards of bone punch their way out of your palms, and your teeth sharpen, growing into fangs. Now, you are a thing built purely for killing, and in your head, Quarantine laughs gleefully as he takes full control.
Child, you have been chosen to serve us. Do so well, and you shall be rewarded.

I fire again for the crab with my anti matter rifle, trying to get a clean head shot.

Your shot blows the top half of the creature's face off, spraying the plants with gore, but it still keeps coming, pushing itself along with it's shattered legs and the stumps of it's arms.

"...wow...doesn't this thing ever die!" I shoot again for the torso.

The creature pushes itself off from the ground with it's broken legs, landing atop your chest, and flailing it's mandibles at your head.

You find a set of gas masks, but for you and Rachel to use them, you'll have to remove your helmets. You also find a pair of hedge clippers, a trowel, a vial of purple mutagen, a strait razor, plenty of fruits and vegetables, a piece of hydrolic pump, and a Mauler Shotgun.

You have enough room for five of these items (between Rachel and you, be sure to specify who has what.)

Blocking them out, you look out into the lobby of the Lazarus Facility, several lifts and a reception desk line the walls, and a malfunctioning hologram repeats it's greeting in an endless loop. A trail of fresh blood leads off to a corridor ahead of you.

The huge mechanized doors of the Engineering Bay squeal open as they slide on rusted gears, revealing a massive chamber, with a catwalk leading inside. You can see a massive magnet-tipped gear turning from the ceiling, using magnetic force to keep the turbines moving, producing energy with their motion.

"All right Rachel lets go, I'm sure Dez and Gaz will be just giddy to see see what we found." I say as I hurry to catch up with them.

You enter through the door of the Engineering Bay, and the sound of machinery greets you. A catwalk leads inside. You can see a massive magnet-tipped gear turning from the ceiling, using magnetic force to keep the turbines moving, producing energy with their motion. A shimmering field of energy surrounds the structure, supposedly to block out the magnetic energy from affecting anything else in the chamber. As you contemplate this, you hear Rachel scream; "Oh sh*t, oh sh*t! There it is!" A massive mycomorph made up of numerous bodies and covered in thick, bony plates,
charges up the catwalk on all fours, like an ape. It howls, gnashing it's blade like mandibles at you. Standing at nine feet tall, this can only be the thing that killed her team outside the Facility.

The mycomorphs charge the wall, and butcher the first two soldiers with swift disemboweling slashes. As you hurl yourself at the last two, you feel your legs taken out from under you from a lucky shot from a ripsaw, sending you crashing to the floor, gouting foul blood onto the floor. Yet still, you crawl forward.

Your shot takes off one of it's mandibles, but it continues to charge, heedless of the wound. Rachel attempts to level it's charge, hacking at it's arms, chipping off pieces of it's bony shell. It roars, and swings at her.

Your grenades take the thing full in the chest, blowing off chunks of it's armor, and it roars in anger. Then, the psych pours lead into the gap, sending chunks of fetid meat splattering the catwalk with sloppy smacking sounds.

The mycomorph grips Rachel in it's huge hands, rearing up and grasping her at either end of her body, and it pulls.

Rachel swings at it's face with the power saw, shredding off part of it's face, and causing it to drop her. The creature, now blinded, goes berserk, lashing out randomly, smashing the guardrails off the catwalk.

I pull the mauler shotgun from the green room and toss it to Dez "There's some real fire power!" I aim for the beast leg.

Your combined fire sends it reeling back, toppling over the catwalk, giving an angry roar as it does so. You know that it survived the fall, without a doubt in your head.

I look over the catwalk, and see it trying to get back up.

"Oh s**t, we better move. Thanks for the shotgun James, truly. Rachel, are you ok?"

i run as fast as i can to get to safety and prepare for it to return but still be alert of my surroundings wile searching the area if it doesn't come back soon

"Rachel, cast one of your grenades down there, that should at least stun the bastard for a sec."

You can see nothing out of place, and the box calls out to you again. As you submit to your urges and approach the box. As you do so, firm hands grip you from behind, pinning your blades to your sides, and you are swiftly strapped to the table, the box and the corpse being shoved aside. A man in a scientist's garb, and a closely cropped black beard stands over you. "Ah little one, what are your secrets? How do you continue to grow and flourish while mankind withers and dies? You are far superior to me, I see that, but they have blessed me as they have blessed you, in different ways perhaps, but blessed nonetheless." He removes a syringe from a table, and fills it with a clear liquid. "Now, my little friend, prepare to be made even more perfect." And the needle descends, piercing your eye, and you feel strange and new sensations coursing through you. Your limbs grow hardier, and a bit of your personality resurfaces. Another pair of bladed limbs sprout from your back, tipped with deadly blades, your lungs enlarge to monstrous proportions, and they burst from your back. "Yes, I have completed you..."

You walk down the catwalk, rifle at the ready. A hole in the wall opens to your left, and you can hear something stirring within.

You leap at the soldier, and slam into his chest, digging your teeth into his flesh, he screams as his blood gouts in a crimson fountain inside your mouth.

A flustered man wearing the garb of a Lazarus scientist barges through the door, his uniform torn and bloody. "Help! They're after me!" As if in answer, several mycomorphs swarm the door, their bladed limbs clattering against the door, roaring in frustration.

I attack another of the soldiers.

Your rifle punches a hole through one of the vivisector's head, sending it flying off across the hall. Rachel pours bullets into another two, firing in a circular pattern, shearing off their deformed limbs with her hail of lead, their shrieking torsos fall to the ground with wet thumps, jaws still snapping.

(Gaz)

Picking up the rivet gun off the table, you send long steel spikes into the heads of the felled mycomorphs, silencing their cries.

I shoot again aiming for any of them advancing. 6

Your shots go wild, bouncing and pinging off the doorway, and the scientist takes cover from the ricocheting lead. However, Rachel, taking up the power saw in hand, and firing at the other with her assault rifle, rips into the remaining two vivisectors. Sawing off the limb of one of the mycomorphs, she grasps the bladed arm and jams it into the eye socket of another, pinning it to the wall. Then, she proceeds to dismember it with the power saw, then turning around and stomping the head of the first to pulp. "Well that wasn't too hard..."

I walk up and grab the scientist by the lab coat and push him to the floor, I pull my pistol and press it against his forehead. "Forgive my hospitality but that wasn't the greatest meet and greet, I want answers and I want them now. First off who the hell are you?

I take the Id's, the orange mutagen, and i head for Engineering

You make your to Engineering, and as you enter, you can see a UN sniper pressing a pistol to the head of a prostrate Lazarus scientist, and several other UN troops. Six mycomorph corpses lay in various stages of dismemberment across the room.

I walk in with my hand on my gun, in case someone makes a foul move. I also read the mind of the scientist

"are you kidding me? Another one, what is this a convention? Who are you? I point my gun at the man wearing a conclave uniform "Make one mistake and all four of us will unload on you. Choose your next words carefully."

"How dare you speak to an officer of the law like that? I am here to uphold and maintain the law! If you dare shoot me, the rest of the conclave in this facility will all come at once to purge the resistance infection... So ask yourself this scum; Life or Death?"

"Ha, rest of the conclave in this facility. There isn't anymore! Are you blind? They are all dead, every last one of them, down to the number, we are the few survivors fighting to stay alive. There is no UN or Conclave anymore, not here, not in this place. We can either live together or die alone. If you want even the slightest chance of survival, lower your gun."

"You are outnumbered and outgunned, so lower your gun, and we can try to discuss a way out of here," I turn to Rachel and the others and talk to them. "I am going to make sure there arn't any more of those beasts coming call me if you need me."

I turn around, keeping my gun raised, and walk into the are from which the beasts came from.

A monstrous tentacle shoots out of the hole, grabbing you by the head, and pulling you into the hole in the wall, but the hole is not big enough to accommodate your body, and your head is pulled from your neck with a sick squelch, fountaining blood, your corpse topples from the catwalk.

Time for a new character

Strelok sighs, and a haunted look creeps into his visage. "After NI Day, Project Lazarus was initiated, it's goal to mitigate our losses, and pull Humanity back from possible extinction. Herbert West was appointed Chief Scientist for the Project, and he filled his role perfectly, organizing over four hundred men and women of science and their families into the Facility, giving each and everyone of them a task on the Project. I was placed in Serum Development, and worked closely with West himself. After the first year, we developed the Lazarus A and Lazarus B serums, designed to jump start the body and begin cell regeneration. The first few of our tests were failures, while the serums technically worked, we could not restore higher thinking in our subjects. Then, we added the Lazarus C serum, and we accomplished what we had long failed to do; we had successfully restored a man to life. I don't remember his name, but I remember that Milo had some choice words about the fact that he was never told about the success, even though he should have been the first to know after West and myself. We closely monitored the reanimated, and found that while some retained higher thinking, others degenerated into, eh, shall I say zombies? They sought out the flesh of the non-reanimated, and they had to be locked away until we could find a way to restore their higher thinking. Later, those that retained higher functioning began to show cannibalistic tendencies as well, and they freed their zombie kin and started a week of slaughter and feasting. The Lazarus Guard locked down the Psych Ward where they had escaped, and we about our business, pondering what to do next. Then came Kensington, a brilliant European that proposed an alternate method of animation. He told us of an alien technology recovered on Pluto during the Great Expansion. It had been brought here by the UN while the Facility was being built, and locked it away in Vault 17 beneath the Facility. West was not pleased, why had no one told him of this? It was his facility! Kensington led us down into the vault, showing us the technology the UN recovered so long ago. He claimed it was holy, and that it was the future of Mankind, what he revealed to was not holy, nor was it our future, that at least, I hope with all my heart. He released that... thing, and it swelled to great size, quickly filling the chamber, and turning many of us into..." He gestures to the dismembered mycomorphs, "Those things. West and I escaped, only to find that Kensington had locked down the entire Facility, trapping us inside. I escaped by fleeing through the Primary Gate before it shut completely, West shouted something about 'making things right', and raced deeper into the Facility. That's all I remember."

How did you survive so long in this hell hole? We have guns and training and we've barely made it this far. How do we turn back on the power?"

(I pull out the Orange Mutagen)
"Don't even think of shooting or moving, you will stay where you are and wait to be purge!"

"By who, you? If you think one vial of mutagen will save you, you are sorely mistaken. Look all the conclave in this facility are dead, Ill tell you one more time, lower your gun." I point my rifle at him. "We can still all walk out of here, we need as many people as possible if were going to survive."

"I will not fall for scum! I will serve and protect as i was ordered to, even if i have to die to do so!"
I drink the Mutagen and open fire at Dez's injured leg: 6

I see the man down the vial and shoot. " Crap, Dez!" I open fire on the man.
Rachel attacks as well.

"Frankenstein!? Frank where are you?! That's odd, he was here earlier..."

I turn around to speak to the others when I see the man pointing the gun at me and about to fire.

"No!"

As I still have my assaault rifle held, I fire at the man who is trying to kill me.

The officer's eyes bulge grotesquely as he downs the mutagen, and his massive pistol blows off your leg with an explosive round, dropping you to the ground in a screaming heap. James fires as well, tearing off the officer's leg as well, sending him crumpling to the ground. Rachel puts the officer's pistol to his head. "Just try it f*cker, just try!" A monstrous roar can be heard from the bottom of the catwalk, and Strelok screams as the massive mycomorph that you downed earlier stomping up the catwalk.

You tear through your bonds easily with your new adornments, and find that the scientist has left during your internal dialogue. You feel that have been freed somehow from the ubermind of the Hive Mind. You cannot sense your pack as a result, and are now in the operating chamber.

Seeing the beast stomping towards us on the catwalk I htrow a few grenades, and fire at it, in consistant excruciating pain.

You drag Dez to safety, and the rest of your team runs for the exit, and Strelok locks the door behind him, leaving the officer to the mercy of the mycomorph. You can see through the viewport as the thing grips the officer's leg, and tears it off in one tug, spraying the glass with gore, then it proceeds to slam it's huge fists against his battered frame until only a gory paste remains. Rachel, Dez, and Strelok make for the medbay.

I keep my rifle up as we make our way to the medical bay. "So strolek, do you think you'll be able to save Dez?"

The agent of the Thought Police roughly turns you about, and pushes you back into the morass of bodies.

"Well, if we want to kill this plague we need more f*cking fire power!"

"We are the greatest war machine the world has ever seen! You have no need of ad- Gaaaakkk!" The Agent's throat is encircled by a noose-like tongue, and is slowly dragged into a room several yards from you, his grunts turning to screams as something tears him apart within the room.

I chuckle at the irony of the situation, smile like a madman and bolt for the room where the man was dragged with my gun in hand

The Agent screams as a horrid creature whose legs have melted together to form a powerful tail, and whose face has split open from the top of it's head to the middle of it's chest, rips him apart with taloned hands. A long, looping tongue is wrapped around his throat, and it whoops exitedly as it sees you.

Strelok tries to sound comforting, but fails, and comes off as nervous. "You can still fight, and that's what matters at the moment. James found a prostetic for your leg, it's not as good as the real thing, but it'll have to work for now."

Climbing into the vents, you pop the grate off and drop to the tram station floor, your enhanced senses picking up movement ahead. A slight 'vip' sound accompanies a movement almost too fast to see. Several figure blink in and out of reality as they charge towards you, making unnatural sounds more animal than machine.
