Post by: Tyranic Marta

Name- Tyranic Marta

Race- Human - Abrantian

Class- Knight

Place of Birth- Abrantias A place hidden by a mountain range at the far north of the world; The Knights of Abrantias travel far and wide seeking to aid the men and women of the world and save them, or help them save themselves, against the darkness of the deathlands; The source of Necromancy.

Life Story- Tyranic Like all Abrantians began life simply, but like all Abrantians was born into a household of Honour and trust. And so he grew up in comfort, not harshness, he was training himself to become the best there is. He befriended a young traveler by the name of Ludias and the pair of them fought one another when they sparred, trained one with another and encouraged the other to reach the pinnacle of his abilities. Soon they were hunting in the mountains killing goblins, Orks, Trolls, anything that stood in their way. Ludias was the son of a trader, who abandoned Ludias into the care of Tyranic's parents. So the pair grew up as brothers but Ludias was never privy to the same rights as a Blooded Abrantian. This didn’t bother him in the slightest because of the trust that they all showed him. It had nothing to do with them not liking him. It was simply old magic that couldn’t be broken. Ludias accepted this and began to live in the mountains when he was older. It was here that Tyranic would often go to train and soon he hardly came back. The Abrantians saw the benefits of Allowing Tyranic to train high up in the mountains. It would inure him to the hardships of the world. And so when he killed his first Ork, high up in the Gaia's ring mountains he had no one around him but his Friend. And so they bonded more closely with every passing victory. Thus when Tyranic's 18th Birthday rolled around and he was a perfect specimen of what an Abrantian should be, he was more than ready, because of the companionship of Ludias. He was Strong, Brave and more to the point, ready to step out into the harshness beyond the mountains. He and his Surrogate Brother were given Armour, true weapons and Horses. They trekked out of the mountains for many months. They knew them better than anyone but even for them the journey was difficult. This was a test of the Abrantians; anyone who was not able to beat the elements should not try to beat death. Eventually they reached the foothills around the mountains and waiting for them was a city. The City of the Free trade Abrantians, here warriors would come to learn about what the Abrantian goal was; to protect Uriah from the evils of the Deathlands. The source of Necromantic magic. Tyranic trained Long and Hard in the banishment of Undead and even in the fighting of Daemons. Soon he was a formidable warrior, his light plate armour was covered in runes detailing his life and his knight’s helm had a lateral crest, sweeping from one ear to the other over the top of his skull. The Crest was made of Steel and was etched with a single rune; that of the Destroyer; An Ancient Deity who Tyranic had dedicated his Martial life to, the Destruction of all that stood in the way of the light.

At his 30th yeah Tyranic and Ludias were more than ready to leave the City of Free trade Abrantians; Known as Mountains edge. While Tyranic had been training for his role as a Knight, Ludias had taken on a slightly different profession, that of a mercenary. He had trained himself in the use of the heaviest of armors and in the use of great Maces and crossbows. He was a force to be reckoned with wielding his now trademark twin Spire Maces. Ludias had however become darker than his friend. His soul slowly being corrupted by the darkness that only Abrantians could resist this close to the roof of the world. Tyranic knew this and soon he was forced to perform and Exorcism on Ludias's soul. It lasted years, the two of them locked in a silent battle of wills. Their fire had died out long ago and their horses Fled. The two were sustained not by food but by the energy of the other. Ludias knew that he had to be purged and he willingly accepted the Exorcism. The two became a pilgrimage for the holy knights of the Abrantian Order, the ultimate act of penance to find these two warriors amidst the cold wastes of the world.

In Tyranics 45th Year he appeared back in the circle of Knights sweeping Uriah helping the innocent. Many asked him where his friend was but he would not answer.

Appearance/Attitude/Mood/Mannerisms: Tyranic has pure white hair, the genetic fallout from living in the place that sees the most snowfall in Uriah, his ancestors long ago having evolved the coloration for stealth in the snowy wastes. His ice blue eyes and pale skin make him look almost wraithlike but his heart is as pure as mountain water. He is a quiet man who speaks with a soft tone of voice and only when he feels the need to speak his mind on matters that require his attention. He is a natural leader this coming from his upbringing and dislikes taking orders from others not his superior in his Order.

He has a powerful Physique this being required to wear the plate armour that he now bears. This armour is ornate while still practical, a throwback to the Times when Abrantians were more aristocrat than warrior. His armour has been designed with the specific purpose of resisting the attacks that undead seem to favor, heavy armour piercing blows. Thus his armour is actually two layers of Starlight Steel. That link together and are very difficult to pierce. The runes adorning his armour are purely decorative but indeed make him an intimidating foe. His Helm adds to this effect with the crest adorning it and the faceless visage that it is. Many will run in fear before attacking the Massive knight. Additionally he wears a floor length flowing cloak made from the furs of white Arctic bears.

His Bastard sword is about 4 1/2 feet long with a long handle and an ornate cross guard shaped like the wings of a mountain Eagle. That arch up towards the blade. His Gothic Shield is a strong triangle adorned with yet more runes, but these are of warding against magic and necromancy. His body itself is scarred with runes and engravings etched by the priests and clerics of his order and it can resist more magic than an ordinary human should be able to.

His horse named Purity is a 17 and a half hands white mare who Marta picked up from his old home and has spent some time treking around the wilds on her barded back. The Abrantian thorough bred is a powerful warhorse that Marta has spent great wealth on armouring with white blate Barding. The horse is Extremely loyal to Tyranic and will carry him through any danger after he trained her on the outskirts of the deathlands.

Equipment- Bastard sword, Gothic Shield, Plate Armour, and Purity

Post by: shroud010

The Uriah RPG is an interactive role-playing experience set in my homebrew Dungeons and Dragons campaign setting. The game uses my patented 'Pick a Number' system, which allows for more freedom than the A or B system.
CHARACTER CREATION
When making a character for the Uriah RPG, you must choose from the list of races, as well as a class from the class list. You start the game at 1st level, and at the apex of your career, you will reach level 100. Each new level earns you new abilities and skills. Okay, on to the race list.
RACES:
HUMAN RACES
Humans- Humans are the most populous of the intelligent races on Uriah, and are spread about across many kingdoms. The best and the worst are among them, from the gallant Knights of the Silver Circle, to the barbaric Krathites north of the Dragon's Teeth.
Johterim- The powerful warriors of Veska are dour and stout, they charge into battle with axe and shield in hand, eager to deal death to their enemies. Johterim distrust magic, save that of their shamans that harness the primal power of their totem animals.

ELF RACES
High Elves- The haughty High Elves are the most numerous of the elfish races, traveling from place to place after their home was destroyed in the Age of Ash by cruel fiends.
Grey Elves- The mysterious Grey Elves dwell high in the Godspine Mountains, trading with the dwarves and helping them drive out the mutant goblinoids that come up from the Warp Hills to the west.
Twilight Elves- Only recently returning to Uriah after their home was stolen away from them by the trickery of Kurtulmak, the god of the Kobolds, the Twilight Elves have reclaimed their home after the Age of Ash, and now seek to restore their bonds with their more haughty kin.
Dark Elves- The cruel Dark Elves were driven beneath the surface after a terrible civil war that saw mountains topple as powerful magic was loosed. They are rarely seen outside of their massive and dark cities beneath the earth, where they worship the Spider Goddess Lolth.
Wood Elves- The Wood Elves have dwelt in the Feywood for as long as anyone can remember, killing despoilers and invaders without mercy or impunity. Having been separated from their High Elf kin, they have grown xenophobic and savage, often raiding settlements for supplies.

DWARVEN RACES
Dwarf- The stout dwarves dwell in the mountains, doing battle with their hated goblinoid foe with axe and rune. Dwarves are always eager to lend a hand or an axe if the cause is worthy... and if they are promised fine ale.
Flamebeard Dwarf- The practically feral Flamebeards inhabit the plains of Veska, living a nomadic existence alongside the Johterim, with whom they trade. As their name suggests, their hair is a fiery red, and the warriors often cut it into a mohawk pattern, with which they slick with blood. Every Flamebeard has a special runic weapon that they will never part with, nor will they do battle without it.
Godspine Dwarf- The dwarves of the Godspine Mountains are arrogant and proud, believing themselves immune to the petty wars that rage below them. Their hair is universally stark white, and often coated with snow and ice from their homes.
Iron Dwarf- The cruel Iron dwarves dwell beneath, trading slaves to the dark elves and the kobolds.

HALFLING RACES
Halfling- The wandering folk travel about the world, selling their wares to those with enough coin. Halflings often rub shoulders with Ashanti merchants coming north from the Empty Space deep in the south.
Deep Gnomes- These diminutive humanoids battle against the kobolds in their underground kingdoms.

DRACONIC RACES
Kobolds- The small race of dragonkin dwell beneath the earth, fighting the deep gnomes in endless wars of attrition. Some kobolds venture to the surface, seeking respite from the endless wars beneath the surface. Naturally strong in magic, most of their kind become sorcerers or arcanists of some sort.

GOBLINOID RACES
Goblins- The cowardly goblins are often bullied into service to the orcs, where they serve as expendable troops and slaves. Sometimes, a goblin escapes the tribe, and makes a name for himself.
Night Goblins- A race of goblins created by the Dark Elves, the night goblins lurk in the deep, their pure white eyes hunting for prey. Theses grey-skinned creatures are larger and more intelligent then their smaller kin, often leading tribes of them into battle against the dwarves.
Orcs- The foul orcs populate every stretch of land on Uriah save Argoth, their endless green tide rolling over entire kingdoms. However, the orcs are too brutish and stupid to fully band together, for if they did, they could easily sweep the elves, dwarves, and humans from the world in a few generations.

ELEMENTALS
Edenites: The Edenites are a rare breed of being that are one with the World. Each is connected to an elements and each elemental are rarer then others. Fire and Earth are the most common and Water the scarce and Wind extinct and Lighting rumored to never be in existence. (if you want to be a wind user go ahead but you won’t get any basic training from other Edenites. Also Edenites can't have a class since they are already a mass of destructive energy. Use your body as a weapon)

BEAST MEN
Gnoll: the basic Hyena man, usually live in the southern territories to keep away from the from his natural Enemies, The Wolf men and Feral men
Wolfmen: Myths shroud these intelligent beasts that are victims legends of an imaginative plague that turn unexpecting humans into these advance hunters. Using all five of their senses to hunt down unfortunate prey.
Feral Men: Men who mysteriously joined the animalistic races along with the Wolves and Hyenas but in this the form of a cat. They live in the east with great clans scattered and hidden. Each clan looks like another big cat. (for example one clan will look like lions as another would look like a puma.)

Name: Ghor’ghan.
Race: Gnoll
Class: Warrior
Place of birth: Fogglade Forest.
Life story: like most of his race, Ghor’gan cuts an intimidating visage, seven feet of towering carnivore, raised in the mists and ferns of Fogglade Forest, he is a well-endowed tracker. But prefers to charge into combat with his deadly array of weapons rather than stick his enemies on bits of wood.
When he was Raised in his pack, Ghor’gan, was one of the better off pups, overpowering and on occasion, killing, the other pups that challenged his rising authority. His was the life of a savage, a brutal, Hyena-man, living in a society where the first few years are a pup’s deadliest. The Gnoll society revolves around combat and hunting, and scrambling to claim your place in the tribe whatever the cost. Those who fall behind, are left behind. By the time he had been deemed worthy enough to live, and enter the clan gene-pool, he had already killed two of his siblings, who had attempted to assassinate him while he hunted. Rising quickly to the rank of Huntsmaster, a revered position in gnoll sosioty, akin to leader of a warband, his chieftain was gathering his warriors to attack the nearby dwarves, who had began mining the Gnolls beloved forest home. Before they could fully muster, the tribe was attacked by elves, intent on ‘cleansing’ when Ghor’gan, now at the age of fourteen, (almost twenty in terms of metabolism and maturity, due to the Gnoll’s rapid early life) witnessed this unprovoked attack, it filled him with a hatred for elvenkind. Charging into the fray, he butchered his way through to the elf warlock. But before he could kill hi, the warlock sent a bolt of pure energy slashing through the air to him. He was only saved by his shield, but the lightning rendered him unconscious. When he awoke, he discovered to his grief, that his clan had been slaughtered, even as they killed every elf there was. At the revelation that he was the sole survivor of that conflict, the Gnoll then discovered that the Warlock was not quite dead. Enacting the rites of vengeance, he tortured the warlock to death. For a whole four months he kept the elf alive, dragging it with him wherever he went. By the end, the once-proud elf was a quivering mass of jelly. Every bone broken, every muscle tor to shreds, and missing all his senses but touch. Minus his fingers. The Warlike Gnoll custom decreed that Ghor’gan do this to gain some small vengeance for his clan.

In the end. The beastman took pity on the elf, and beheaded him. He has carried the necklace he made out of the elf’s teeth ever since. And keeps the warlock’s skull in the bottom of his haversack.
Over time, he adventured throughout the land, Ghor’gan grew less inherently violent, able to live among other races. But not elves, whom he would kill at any chance.
At one point, he freed a necromancer from the dungeons of a local lord, seeing something of a kindred spirit within the man. They journeyed together for several years before parting ways in the snow-filled lands of Abrantias, but not before the necromancer had returned the favor by restoring life to Ghor’gan’s left hand, which he had lost to a gelatinous cube in the underdark…
Equipment: kiteshield. (human sized, so personal shield for Ghor’gan) haversack, tooth necklaces, (one tooth from every enemy he has killed. So he has some in his backpack) Drach’nay’en: single edged sword (Fell-Hammer, in the language of his kind) Mace. (think small version of souron’s mace with less fanciness) skeletal left hand, (Ghor'gan's left hand is like a skeleton's fleshless and bound together by magic

Deity: Thorgil
Alingment. Chaotic neutral./neutral evil

The destoryer is Tyranic Deity... usually angled towards the destruction of darkness via the power of light... but light is a fine line to darkness.

Name- A'lor Le'or

Race- Wolfman

Class- Blackguard

Place of Birth- The forest

Life Story- He was born with out vocal chords, so he grew up not being able to speak, after awhile his parents decided to get rid of him. Late one night his parents tied him up, put him in a bag and threw him into a near by river. He escaped with his life but was traumatized by the experience. As a result of the experience he can no longer swim, and is deftly afraid of water deeper than 7 feet high. He always keeps spare water just to be sure that he wont have to drink from any river. The reason he is a Blackguard is the fact that his father was a paladin, and his mother was a cleric, he despised them and all they stood for so he took the opposite path.

Equipment- Black plate armor, that covers all his body except his head, a longsword dyed red with the blood of his slaughter on it lies the inscription "death is merciful bounty."

God- Wr-Thiysolp
Alingment -Chaotic evil

some more ref pics of Ghor'gan

this one, you replace the bow with a large mace, and add a couple more feet onto his sword and that is a pretty good likeness

second one you just make his shield larger and add a few feet to the sword.

A word about time:
Years in Uriah is measured from the Golden Age of Man, when the Empire of Mezzus held sway. The increments BGA (Before Golden Age) and AGA (After Golden Age) are used to describe the passage of years. During the Age of Ash, few records were kept, and thus time in that era is sketchy at best. Our sages have done their best in compiling a complete history of the realms. Also, the time before the Age of Dragons is almost completely unknown, and most is simply conjecture.

The Age of the Eternals
???- -The Eternals forge a celestial empire that spans the galaxy.
???-The Eternals split into two warring factions, the Old Ones, led by the rouge Eternal Azathoth, and the Elder Gods led by Kthanid.
???- A great war ensues that destroys most of the Elder Gods and entraps the Old Ones throughout the universe.
???-The Elder Gods vanish into the void.
???-The last Elder called Ara brings the world into being. Then he creates the first gods named, Tharzidun, Pelor, Obad-hai, Gaia, Vulismerew, and Krath as stewards of the world.
???-Ara leaves the known universe to join his kindred and leaves the new world to his children.
???-Krath attempts to usurp the power of his siblings and sparks a war that leaves Krath imprisoned in a deep valley.
The Age of Dragons
999,124,214 BGA-The gods create the dragons.
999,110,112 BGA- The dragon king Ormlorworondan practices the Old Magic for the first time, lifting the continents of Uriah, Artisia, and the Misty Isles from the greats seas.
999,020,222 BGA- Ormlorworondan decrees the mandatory task of recording every great event since the birth of dragonkind. The original documents are kept in the Dragon Citadel in Artesia to this day.
999,001,124-The gods create the dragonborn, akari, and the sidhe, the forefathers of the elves.
989,000,023 BGA- The gods mate among themselves to create more deities, the rest of the current gods are born this way.
988,999,001 BGA- Ormlorworondan continues to rule with honor and wisdom. Artesia becomes the base of operations for the dragon king.
426,618,139 BGA- Ormlorworondan dies of old age, he had no heir, so each Great Wyrm forms their own fiefdom and battles for the crown. The Dragon Wars had begun.
412,162, 530 BGA- As the Dragon Wars rage across the face of Artesia, two prominent factions appear: The Sjach Urathear embodying the avarice, rapaciousness, and arrogance of dragonkind led by Tiamet, and the Eligneari Di Wer Plythu, led by Bahamut, they were every thing the Sjach Urathear were not. At this time, all the fiefdoms had allied with one of these factions. Chromatics in the Sjach Urathear, and Metallics in the Eligneari Di Wer Plythu. These two factions would fight to the bitter end, neither giving any quarter or mercy to the other. The Sjach Urathear brought the kobolds into the fold, and created the dragonspawn.
200,345,142 BGA- After thousands of years of fighting, the Dragon Wars come to a close as a Sjach Urathear Vorastrix (sorcerer) named Levethix transforms himself into the first dracolich. The newly arisen dracolich uses his newfound power to master the Old Magic, and uses it to lay waste to the armies of both the Sjach Urathear and those of the Eligneari Di Wer Plythu. The remaining dragons banded together to drive Levethix off Artesia, although Levethix killed most of his opponents. With both armies decimated, the two factions had to cease fighting, as neither of them had the troops to continue. After the battle, the dragons named Levethix “Wer Kaegro Darastrix Batobot Ui Hesi Irlym”, the-undead-dragon-that-is-our-enemy. Although he is known by modern sages as Wer Irlym, the Enemy. In the aftermath of the war, dragonkind saw itself irrevocably damaged, never again would dragons block out the sun with their majestic flights. The two factions faded into the background of history, and would not be heard of for millions of years to come.
89,452,631 BGA- The Akari civilization rises to prominence, trading with the sidhe and primitive elves, their empire enters a golden age.
2,325,235 BGA- After millions of years of prosperity, the Akari vanish from the face of the world, no evidence of how or why they vanished is nonexistent. The only evidence that they even existed at all are the records made by Ormlorworondan’s scribes.
45,234 BGA- The elves experience their first major conflict as the elven deity Lolth rebels against the rest of the elven gods. The elven gods drive Lolth’s elves beneath the surface, where they become known as drow, the dark elves.
10,242 BGA- Humans organize into tribes in the Swordlands.
0 BGA- The Age of Dragons ends, and the Golden Age of Man begins.
The Golden Age of Man
3 -200 AGA- The elves teach the humans the Old Magic, this allows them to build the Empire of Mezzus. Many other empires rise during this time, notably, Cydincea, Nerath, Vigrid, Kolumdus, Nekerak, and Vladmire.
342 AGA- The empire of Nekerak perfects the mummification process, creating powerful undead warriors. Nekerak wars with Nerath. Nekerak masters necromancy, but remains uncorrupted.
432 AGA- The Kruhl, a nomadic warrior tribe, defeat an evil Cydincean Overlord and escape to freedom. The loss of valuable slave stock cripples the ability of the Cydincean sorcerers to craft their infamous slave-soldiers.
467 AGA- Kolumdus and Vigrid war in the War of the Battered Shield.
478 AGA- Kolumdus loses the War of the Battered Shield.
587 AGA- Nekerak loses control of it’s undead minions as a massive astral entity blocks all magic, and the Nekerakite necromancers are unable to control their servants. Cydincea sees this as a sign to attack. The War of the Bloody Banner begins.
602 AGA- Nekerak is burned to the ground as Cydincean slave soldiers kill the Nekerakite Pharaoh Amunem Khe and his advisors. It is whispered that Amunem Khe later rose as an undead creature, and traveled far south to raise the Empire of Maru-Quet, that would explain the latter’s Nekerakite influence.
732 AGA- The blood drinking nobles of Vladmire create the first vampires in a secret ritual, the first vampires shared none of the weaknesses of their decedents. The Vladmireic nobles use them as shock troops in their armies. However, these first vampires still decayed as normal.
832 AGA- The nation of Vigrid comes into conflict with the blue cannibal giants called hyperboreans from the Frostfell.
843 AGA- The Witch-King Shazz’urgoth of Mezzus declares war on Vladmire, seeking to destroy them for their despicable ways. The War of Weeping Gods is waged.
843 AGA- In a bid to win a war against barbarian raiders, the Cydincean king strikes a pact with the Baatorian Zargon. Zargon leads Cydincea to victory, but at the price of making the surface of Cydincea uninhabitable, and forcing the Cydinceans underground, where they worshiped Zargon as a god.
858 AGA- At the Battle of the Bleeding Rose, Shazz’urgoth calls upon the Old Magic to summon a god killing entity called Pandorym. The Witch-King fails to control the being, and both armies, and both empires, are destroyed in a conflagration of apocalyptic death. Shazz’urgoth, his body rent asunder by the power of Pandorym, returns to undeath as the very first lich with apocalyptic power at his fingertips. On this day, the most powerful being on the Material Plane is born, Shazz’urgoth, the Returned. The Runefields are created as Pandorym’s power burns jagged sigils into the earth. The Sidhe rush to the scene, trying to stop Pandorym before it destroys the fabric of creation. Using all of their magical might, with thousands sacrificing themselves to boost the magic of their kin. They succeed on cleaving Pandorym’s mind from it’s body, and imprisoning both. With a major source of trade and learning wiped from the map, the great human empires collapse. Thus ends the Golden Age of Man.
859 AGA- As further precaution, the elves trap the Old Magic in an adamantine Colossus, and sink it to the bottom of the Incarnum Sea.
The Age of Rebirth
898 AGA- The remnants of the empire of Nerath found the kingdom of Thorland in central Uriah to the south of the Swordlands. Rapidly, they come into contact with the dwarves when they cross the Dragon’s Teeth, the mountains that separate the Swordlands from central Uriah. Thorland enters a golden age.
942 AGA- Krath’s malign influence is felt when the Abyss touches the Material Plane, there he corrupts the barbarian tribes in the Swordlands, and builds Golgotha, the Bleak Fortress. The Ashen Screams clan drive the Kruhl from the Swordlands and into central Uriah.
1004 AGA- Thorland denies the Kruhl any land on the basis that they are barbarians. Faced with no alternative, the Kruhl fight for their place in central Uriah. Eventually, they settle into the Veska Plains to the south-west. They then rename themselves the Johterim, “the brave ones”.
1290 AGA- The empire of Maru-Quet is established, the empire has very strong Nekerakite influence and design. The empire is far to the south, and located in the Empty Space.
1328 AGA- Maru-Quet launches a campaign of conquest, taking control of most of central Uriah and even suppressing the dwarves of the Godspine Mountains.
1342 AGA- Thorland is destroyed by Maru-Quet. At this time, Maru-Quet becomes the dominant power in central Uriah.
1567 AGA- An overambitious Maru-Quet Pharaoh by the name of Medihe Hemphe, tries to take the Veska Plains, his armies are decimated by the Johterim and their Flamebeard dwarf allies. Hemphe himself led the ill-fated attack, his head was last seen on the Johterim Warlord Meiðaf Kommat’s banner. His son, Rammin Aahe, proved to be a weak leader, and the great empire of Maru-Quet crumbles to internal strife and foreign invaders alike.
1768 AGA- Central Uriah is left leaderless, as Maru-Quet is driven back to the Empty Space. During this time, the Thirteen is formed. A cabal of the most powerful liches in existence, their members are Acerak,Vecna, Shazz'urgoth, Sazidek, Mortheln, Morgoth, Ganadra, Wu-ithek, Celbir, Tadisar, Mulithtok, Sliddithan, and Andradian the Cold.
1823 AGA- The human paladin Magnamonius Sacrosanct forms the Silver Circle, an order dedicated to rooting out evil wherever it lurks. However, a Knight of the Silver Circle named Makkovar, who was also a human supremacist, started a splinter faction called the Sons of Justice, dedicated to the destruction of magic and all of it’s practitioners. They target all non-human races as “impure”, and take a particular joy for sending magical races to the pyre. The Sons of Justice are frowned upon by the Silver Circle, and often come to blows when they meet.
1829 AGA- The human kingdoms of Tyric, Thrax, Calledir, Mur, Carnor, and Alveius are formed around this time.
1856 AGA- Pirates that once plied the Sea of Claws settle down on the Claw and form the kingdom of Arendia.
1921 AGA- Exiled nobles from Alveuis are blown off course and land on the continent of Argoth. There, they form the Argoth Principalities, a group of nations whose leaders are content to play political games with each other rather than tend to their people.
1989 AGA- The vampire Kas, banished from the service of the Thirteen after he cut off the right hand and eye of Vecna, arrives in Argoth. There he transforms the nobles into undead lieges, who serve his command. However, he did not suspect that they plotted against him. Kas was overwhelmed by his own armies as he made preparations to invade Uriah. Then, the Argoth Principalities became a series of nightmare nations, with the living hunted for food or for sport. The existence of the Argoth Principalities goes unknown to Uriah for many more millennia.
2000 AGA- Gruumsh and Kurtulmak steal the Misty Isles from the elves in a malicious act of vengeance.
2120 AGA- The human cleric Kyuss achieves divinity, but Sade, always fond of jokes, traps him in an obelisk on Wormcrawl Island.
3245 AGA- The trade nation of Ashant is formed in the Empty Space. They become the backbone of the Uriahen economy.
4321 AGA- A rogue Sons of Justice faction creates the nations of Belvol and Ald, worshipping a goddess named Taiia. They have lost none of their bile and zealotry.
4576 AGA- Skald is formed by a group of Johterim who believe that they betrayed their heritage by coming to Uriah, they call themselves the Kruhl, and traveled north east to settle. Thrax and Calledir come into conflict over who owns the River Golarian. A bitter war ensues.
4786 AGA- The half-elf wizard Kristophis raises a kingdom from magic, and names it Thane. But this was only a small part of the design, indeed, most of Thane is suspended far above the clouds by magic.
4792 AGA- Thrag Dwarfcrunch, a troll of considerable intelligence, unites all the goblonoid and orc tribes of the Godspine, and builds Orcholde out of the mountain face.
5432 AGA- Alien beings known as the Star Gods open a rift between the known cosmos and the unreality of the Far Realm. In the Dragon’s Teeth Mountains, a great monolithic gate made of farstone called Yoggida-ie-mach spawns thousands of alien horrors into the world. The Great Old Ones, many banished to the Far Realm, pore forth from the gate. The gods unite to fight the eldritch horrors, even Fate joins the fray, the only time that he has ever taken sides in a conflict. Dwarf fought alongside orc, elf alongside drow, vampires alongside paladins, the war shook the foundations of reality. The Elder God Ray’tur, upon sensing the tear in the veil, charges to Uriah, intent on slaying a number of the Great Old Ones, as he did eons ago. Even the Thirteen took a stance against the Far Realm, Shazz’urgoth reducing alien hordes to babbling death with waves of arcane fire.
5456 AGA- The Far being Hastur learns of Ray’tur’s coming and flees to the island of Carcosa, and hides. Ray’tur arrives and slays Y’golonac and Shubb-Niggurath.
5678 AGA- Ray’tur charges into Yoggida-ie-mach, directly into the Far Realm, slaughtering billions of aberrations in their home. The Far Realm quakes with his coming, and Yoggida-ie-mach collapses as Ray’tur destroys the portal from the Far Realm. As far as anyone knows, he is still there, granting fear to beings who have never felt it.
5689 AGA- A cultist of the Star Gods forms the nation of Ishben to the south west. The worship of the Star Gods is mandatory. Every citizen is completely insane, and only their shared faith keeps the country together.
5987 AGA- A madman known as the Twisted Prophet speaks the Ashen Prophecy; “When the Childe of the Stars is fled/The Shunned shall rise/And He shall make the mountains weep/The Uniter shall be decieved/The Lord of Hell/And the Prince with Two Faces/Shall be Brothers/The Firstborn shall face a Test/The Star Childe shall come again/Him with the Hammers/Shall make such an End/The Witch of Mezzus shall Choose/Magnamonius’ Pride shall fall/The Betrayer shall Cleanse the Weak/Blood shall Drown the Weak/The Lords of the Lost shall Rise/The Bastard Prince is King/Of the Damned/Their Fate is Known to All/The Shunned shall Drink the Son and The Moon/Night is Day/But Day is not Night/All is Ash/He is Man/He is not Man/Deceived/All Deceived/The Unborn shall be King/Death is Life/Life is Death/The Monster’s Mother/Seek the Scepter/He who shall Damn us All/Is our Hope/And Saviour/The Beast shall Stir/The End is The Beginning/The Beginning is Not the end/And we Shall sing His Songs” The Prophecy is contradictory and out of order, what it means is up to interpretation. It is widely accepted that the “Lord of Hell” and the “Prince with Two Faces” refers to Asmodeus and Demogorgon. “Him with the Hammers” perhaps refers to Ray’tur, who wielded two warhammers against the Old Ones. The Prophecy apparently speaks of the end of the cosmos, any who discern the meaning of the Prophecy may help to avert the foretold fate.
6234 AGA- The lizardfolk of Bulluk join with tribes of boglings build a great ziggurat in the heart of the Vast Swamp. A great civilization flourishes, calling themselves the Amacui-Xolotl. They build many more monuments to forgotten gods in the mires and swamps of their homeland. They commanded strange magic called “voodoo”, and were known for their open use of necromancy, but used it only to produce cheap labour. For years the Amacui-Xolotl were the dominant force in the region, until they were destroyed by vicious troglodytes of the Bakame’ empire. Both of these civilizations would fade into the midden of history however, but the strange monuments of the Amacui-Xolotl still stand today, filled with the savage decedents of the once civilized lizardfolk and boglings.
6389 AGA- The trolls of the Shatterspine Caverns become tainted by the influence of the Far Realm, where a fragment of Shubb-Niggurath warps their bodies and minds. A cult called the Dreamers from Ishben travel to the caverns and serves the surviving fragment of The Black Goat of the Woods.
6402 AGA- King Ramos of Alveius unites the human kingdoms under a parliamentary alliance. For this act, he becomes known as the Uniter.
6458 AGA- In a small fishing village on the Claw, a half-dragon child is born, his name is Kenso, a name that would be spoken with hate and revulsion in later years. He shows no small talent in the sorcerous arts. He later would join an adventuring party, and his mind would be touched by Krath himself.
6568-6789 AGA- A mysterious crystal orb is presented to King Ramos as a gift. Ramos slowly became unable to part with it, as he was slowly driven mad by it’s power. Under it’s influence, he moves supplies and armies to the outskirts of his domains, leaving the cities exposed. Later, he alienates all of his allies, driving the Arendians and the dwarves to withdraw their support. Civil wars rage as Ramos plays his allies against each other in pointless wars. Seeing no other way to end his madness, Ramos’s son Eldred kills his father. He tries valiantly to restore order, but it could not be undone. Most of Alveius’s former allies turned on her, and killed Eldred and burned Castle Graywall to the ground. Meanwhile, Krath uses Kenso to bring his party to the valley where he is imprisoned. Using the half-dragon to spill the blood of his companions to break the seals that bound Krath to the earth. It was said that the very earth screamed as Krath clawed his way up from the ground and beheld the world for the first time in eons. His return caused mountains to erupt and fill the sky with ash, this ash never settled, and drifted perpetually, choking out the sun and the stars. Millions died in a single instant as the enemy of all that is good returned. Kenso himself died in the blast. The Age of Ash had begun.
The Age of Ash
6678-10,231 AGA- Barbarian tribes from the Swordlands led by Krath’s champion Mordos Kul, pore over the Dragon’s Teeth and cut a path of carnage across the face of Uriah.
-Merik builds the fortress of Hollowfaust and makes it a haven for the corrupt. Inspired by Krath’s return, the dark gods begin to walk on the face of Uriah.
-No mortal is left alive or uncorrupted in this truly dark age. In a daring move, Krath unites both Asmodeus and Demogorgon, traditional enemies brought together by mutual hatred of good. The gods of good descend to fight the dark gods on open ground. Each god appoints a champion to lead their armies, commanding them into battle against one another.
-The Knights of the Silver Circle make a desperate last stand at the gates of Alveius, they buy time for the surviving refugees to make a run for a portal to the Plane of Shadow created by the mages of Thane. Only a dozen or so Silver Circle Knights escaped to the Plane of Shadow. Alveius is burned to the ground, and those left behind struggle to survive as the portal is closed.
-Lord Wroth is appointed commander of Krath’s Chosen legions.
-The Sons of Justice gain in membership as they blame magic and non-human races for the Age of Ash. The human survivors are desperate to pin the blame on someone for their losses, their rage and grief are directed against the non-human survivors in a zeal filled pogrom.
-In a conference, the elves and surviving sidhe decide to unleash the Old Magic once again, hoping to defeat Krath, or at least send him back into imprisonment. They travel to the Incarnum Sea, revive the Colossus, and unlock the Old Magic once again.
-Demogorgon breaks the alliance between himself and Asmodeus, and brings the Blood War to the face of Uriah.
-The demigod Gorgoroth leads an attack against the Johterim, there he is slain by the Johterim hero, Beowulf.
-St. Cuthbert battles Krath atop the towers of Golgotha, and is slain. St. Cuthbert is the first divine casualty of the Age of Ash.
-In the Feywood, half-fiendish elves led by Canniss the Betrayer, burn the elven cities to the ground with unholy fire.
-Pelor and his son Heironious battle Krath and are both slain. Pelor, God of the Sun, is murdered alongside his firstborn son, his youngest, Gendle, would survive.
-Kord, God of Strength, kills Merik, God of Pain, over the Sea of Claws.
-Krath marshals his forces for an attack against Celestia. In the assault, Krath takes three of the Seven Heavens.
-Under the command of Vulismerew, a battalion of Solars charge into Hell itself, causing panic among the Arch-dukes, and drawing Asmodeus’s forces away from Uriah to defend Nessus.
-Elf and sidhe mages armed with the Old Magic lay waste to Krath’s armies of quasimodo and barbarians. Krath sends Mordos Kul to kill them. Kul butchers dozens of the mages until he is forced to flee or face certain death. Krath himself descends on the defiant sorcerers, barley able to kill them to the last. As the last mage falls, a fail safe is activated, awakening the Colossus.
-The human paladin Aroun kills Demogorgon, and sends the demonic hordes into disarray. Orcus becomes the Prince of Demons on the eve of Demogorgon’s death.
-The Thirteen take up residence in Hollowfaust.
-The Colossus charges forth to battle Krath, Krath is forced to flee from his foe. Seeing Krath flee, the good gods unite to defeat their eternal foe. Using special chains, Olidimara, god of thieves, tricks Krath back to the valley where he was imprisoned for so long. There, Olidimara sacrifices himself to trap Krath beneath the earth forever. The ash settled, and the sun shone again. Krath’s armies are driven back to the Swordlands, and the Age of Ash was over. As both Gruumsh and Kurtulmak focused their energies on the war, the Misty Isles are returned to the elves. The Old Magic is taken by the Colossus back into the Incarnum Sea.
The Age of New Gods
10,245 AGA- The rebuilding of civilization begins.
10,303 AGA- A man arrives on shores of Uriah, and claims he can restore Uriah’s former glory. He wields awesome magical might, and the power of foresight. His name is Munthrek Adon.
10,323 AGA- Adon is made Lord Regent of the newly formed Unified Kingdoms.
10,324 AGA- Gendle becomes the new Sun God, inheriting the position from his late father, Pelor.
10,325 AGA- Lord Regent Adon rebuilds the Unified Kingdoms, and restores most lands to the Kingdoms.
10,326 AGA- Lord Regent Adon begins to tax the populace, as recompense for his help. As a magic-wielding assassin fails to kill Adon, he outlaws the practice of magic outside of his own personal house-mages and his own magic. He secretly pays the Sons of Justice to enforce his edict. Doubt starts to form in the minds of the people.
10,327 AGA- Rumors abound that a massive, winged shape leaves Adon’s palace every fortnight, and flies west. Those who claim to have actually seen this quietly disappear. The Ashanti Trail is reestablished, once again funneling trade goods throughout the Unified Kingdoms.
10,328 AGA- Faking an assassination attempt by the elves, Lord Regent Adon convinces Parliament to grant him emergency powers, making him Emperor Adon. The newly crowned Emperor declares war on the elves. The War of Lies begins. The elves are slaughtered in their own homes as they are taken by surprise, as they assume that the advancing humans have come to aid in rebuilding their homes. The Sons of Justice serve in the Emperor’s army as elite troops. The Sons of Justice are given the task of exterminating the elves, down to the last child. They take to their task with relish. The Elves fight a desperate war against the invading armies.
10,335 AGA- Adon declares martial law. He also uses his power as Emperor to enforce the hunting and killing of elves and other non-humans. He also calls for the settlement of Artisia. A group of rebels assault Adon’s palace, and corner the Emperor. Adon then reveals his true identity as a red dragon, and as a member of the Sjach Urathear. A great battle ensues, and the last rebel, by the name of Anna Kalimon, slays Adon with a sword thrust to the heart. The reign of Munthrek Adon was at an end. Although Anna would die from her wounds, her sword would survive, and would be passed down through her family.
10,336 AGA- In a coronation ceremony, Thandrone, a half-elf and member of the rebellion is appointed king of Alveius. The Unified Kingdoms are dissolved, and the kingdoms return to self governance. Peace is restored to Uriah, and wealth pores into the lands as trade flourishes. Life had never been better, there was even talk of a treaty with Maru-Quet to the south, and tales of exploration of the Frostfell in the far north.
10,378 AGA- Thandrone faces his first test as king. A massive influx of magic is detected by the mages of Thane, and a small force of Tyrican troops is sent to investigate (as the influx was detected on Tyric’s border). The troops saw a nation had sprung up on their northern border, a nation that was certainly hostile. This nation was Dres’noth, a nation born of a ritual that birthed the kingdom from the blood of those who dwelt on the Tyrican border. Dres’nothi troops wasted no time in killing the Tyrican detachment, and then storming the Tyrican border in force. The Great Border War began.
10,378 AGA- Thandrone pulls forces together to deal with the Dres’nothi threat. But, he is canny enough not to openly attack Dres’noth, he knows nothing about their tactics or weaponry, or magical prowess. Instead, he funnels troops and supplies along the Ashanti Trail, in hopes that it will buy him some time to gather more information. Meanwhile, Tyrican Grand Marshall Konrad Heinz launches a charge against the Dres’nothi lines, destroying their supply shipments and resources. The Tyrican High Guard ride by Heinz as he makes first contact with the Dres’noth Doom Guard. Dres’noth meets it’s first defeat as the High Guard led by Heinz savage the Dres’nothi Doom Guard, even when the Doom Guard had the advantage. Heinz also gathers valuable information, allowing Thandrone to directly confront Dres’noth. In a combined assault on Dres’noth, both Tyrican and Alveien forces are unable to breach a magical barrier placed around the kingdom. However, Dres’noth ceases hostile activity for the time being. Although, the occasional skirmish is not out of the question. The end of the Great Border War saw Dres’noth recognized as an independent kingdom, and Dres’noth sends a representative to the Council. However, it is impossible for a Tyrican and a Dres’nothi to act like anything approaching civil to each other.
10,382 AGA- In a rather fatal outburst, the Tyrican representative hurled his sword at the Dres’nothi representative and killed him over a debate on land rights.
10,391 AGA- The fiefdom of Vulstav wins it’s independence from Carnor. They base their government on a utopian idea of a classless society. Needless to say, their leader is a despot, and the people live in squalor.
10,392 AGA- The Silver Circle is formed again. At the Second Founding, the Great Crusade is declared. A crusade to rid the world of evil, in any and all of it’s guises. Upon hearing of the land of Argoth, they travel there, and after battling their way through hordes of undead, build the town of Lasthope.
10,400 AGA- The followers of Morbus working with the Cult’s chamber militant, the Pestis Profero, concoct the Abbadon Inferi plague, they hope to use it in wide dispersal, but at the moment it can only be transmuted by a wound. So they infect parasitic grubs with the plague, and send them on their way. This led to the creation of the first morguants, zombie-like plague carriers of the cult of Morbus.
10,401 AGA- The first necrolings appear in Uriah. They are generally mistreated and the targets of the Sons of Justice, who recently has had to keep a lower profile, as Thandrone has made it a point to try the Sons for war crimes.
10,402 AGA- Sightings of “black ships” abound on the Claw. Sightings are always accompanied by disappearances.
10,418 AGA- Thandrone is murdered by undead agents in his own home. Unfortunately for the assassin, he was grabbed by an angry mob and ripped to pieces. It was never learned from whom the order to kill the king was given, nor their purpose for doing so. Those watching the seas report that a massive black sailed fleet was last seen drifting silent as death from the Sea of Loathing. Surely, they must be rumors...
10,418, The 15th of the Indignant Time AGA- Campaign begins.

here is y new character, I was not rally happy with the old one.

Character: Ecko.
race: Gnoll
Class: Fighter.
Birthplace: fogglade forest
To be raised among the society of gnolls is no easy task, where the strong strive, and the weak fail. Ecko was on an par with most gnolls, though with far better luck. His early life was uneventful, when he had been deemed worthy to choose a mate, and leave the clan to create his own, as is the custom among gnolls, he built a small den in the side of a hill, where he lived with his mate, Sirral.
Like most of his kind, he was a bandit, raiding caravans and farms to make a living, for the most part, he had n ideal life, this was shattered during a foraging trip into the forest, when he left to hunt for his family, he returned in high spirits, having killed a deer, but when he returned home, his den was in flames, as he stood there, staring at the fires consuming his life, he saw a sodden shape in his pond.
Human purists of a offshoot of the Sons of Justice had sacked his home murdered his mate, and cast her into the pond. He vowed from this point on to never rest until he had found the man responsible. This as it turned out, was a rash promise, the man responsible was the current leader of the Sons. Still, Ecko swore that he would never stop hunting him, until he had suffered the same torment as Ecko. He promised to strangle and choke the cur, by his own innards. And mount his head upon a pike.
The remnant though, kept their home a secret, he could not find him, but knew that one day he would fulfill his oath.
He has been traveling far and wide, on a faithless crusade, intent on seeing any ‘purist’ dead and gone. He will not only kill them, but wipe them from existence. His ire was so great, that he made a necromantic pact. His sword, Drach’ney’en became cursed, when he wished, it would glow with a black flame, and once it killed, utterly destroy the soul of those that it robbed life from. This is the fate of the elvenking, to be damned eternally, with no soul, and no life. Nothing.
Deiety: Yeenoghu: father of gnolls.
Equpment: Drach’ney’en, Haversack, Mace, Trinkets, shield.
Quote: "You're either the hunter or the prey. I am the hunter, you are the prey"

Image:

This is as close a pic to his reason for his Faithless Crusade as I could find.

Name- Geliard Wrost
Race- Dres'nothi
Class- Rogue
Place of Birth- Kabarrak
Life Story- Born in the capitol city of Kabarrak within Dres'noth, Geliard and his family made their living as merchants, operating a humble shop selling all sorts of useful goods at bargain prices. Geliard's father, Nathan, wanted him to take over the business after he passed on, but Geliard felt that he was meant for greater things. He became a gutter runner, acting as a guide for those seeking passage through the Undercity. When his father died of old age years later, Geliard took on the family shop out of guilt, managing the store with his sister, Amiri. Geliard caught the eye of Lelian Castor, and the two courted or a time before marrying. Lelian bore Geliard six children, three sons and three daughters, whom Geliard trained in both the way of the merchant and to his wife's disapproval, his talents as a gutter runner. Meanwhile, a noble of the House of Kallax by the name of Nemik, had begun courting his sister, Amiri. She would have nothing to do with the cruel noble, and resisted his advances. When Nemik attempted to rape her, Amiri castrated him and put out his left eye with the blade she had received as a gift from her brother years ago. House Kallax was cruel in its vengeance, and branded the entire Wrost family as outlaws, to be killed on sight. In the night, they fled Kabarrak, taking with them what they could, and made for the Tyrican border. As they reached the gates, they found them sealed, and a unit of Kallax house soldiers waiting for them. Unsheathing his blades, Geliard called upon the skills he taught himself years ago, plunging his short swords into the unprotected flanks, gorgets, and eye slits of his pursuers. Lelian and her children wriggled through the gate as Geliard and Amiri held the soldiers off. Shouting for his wife and children to flee to Konig, Geliard and his sister ducked inside an uncovered manhole, escaping into the sewers, hiding out in the Undercity for weeks, hiding from the frequent Kallax patrols. Finally, the siblings made their escape, reaching Konig. The native Tyricans were less than civil to the Dres'nothi, and death threats and rotten food pelted them as they entered the town of their nation's principle enemy. Of the rest of their family, there was not sign, and Geliard later learned that they had been taken by House Kallax. Now, Geliard and Amiri seek a way to return to the city of their birth, and take back their loved ones. The odds be damned.
Equipment- Geliard carries a pair of curved short swords as well as a suit of good-quality leather armor. His sister, Amiri, carries the same.
Quote- "Careful friend, my sister and I are in no mood for prattle. Now. Where. Is. My. Family?"
Alignment: Chaotic Good

Name: Amiri Wrost
Race: Dres'nothi
Class: Ranger
Place of birth: Kabarrak
Life Story: There were no men in particular that Amiri had any interest in when Nemik began to court her. In fact, the only man besides her dear father she ever cared at all for was her brother, whom she admired greatly. Her fondness only increased when he had the decency to fulfill their fathers' dying wish by taking over the family business. His selfless act was a great source of pride for her, though she'd never tell.
After many attempts at evading that perisistent Kallax bastard, he finally gave up the polite front and tried to force himself on her. Amiri wasn't the type to be pushed around; especially not by men she despised. No, she would have none of that. After having the balls to cut off his, she was absolutely thrilled with herself. However, it was short-lasted as the man had power and the Wrosts had no choice but to flee their home. After finding out her sister-in-law and her children had been taken by that man, the guilt overwhelmed her. It was her fault Geliard lost his family. She would reunite them no matter what.
Equipment: A quiver of arrows and a standard bow
Sorry the picture is so big... Thanks, Mordo, for helping me!!

Lets get this party started!

At the edge of the vast central plains of Uriah, lays a city of some coincidence as it slowly breathed dying breaths of morality and common sense as simply deem inhumane acts are carried out everyday. Vicious and almost ritualized murders are reported and never invested every day. A fortune could be made in a day and stolen in the next hour. No one of any importance found it suitable of living in the fountain district where corpses are simply stacked till some arsonists decides to burn them, the poor were numerous and the homeless even more so. Many of expeditions try avoiding of this place that would surely one day be a den of revolutionists who believe their foolhardy exploits being what this land needs. But the one commodity that this nexus of all that is unpleasant is information that ranges from simply rumors to noble being shattered by their doings behind closed doors but uncovered windows. The strangest part of all that all this information is true not one piece is a lie form such a harbor of villains. It was here that Tyranic heard of ruins that hold spirits that hold evil spirits wishing all who enter its domains harm. It was here that Ecko learned that a purist was camping near the so called ruins that claim the lives of all of those who enter. It was here that A'lor Le'or where he saw a gnoll, an enemy which all wolfmen must kill on principle, and followed him to the forest shrouding the large broken walls craved from stone. It was here that the wrost siblings were hired to retrieved an artifact from a most mysterious man who seemed like he didn't belong in such a populated area. It was here that this story of heros and demons was written and told for generations.

Tyranic
Since entering the Ruins hidden within the dark forest you have sense a sinister intent in the air and the more ground he cover in the ruins the more it intensifies. Almost all the rooms and buildings are collapse and paths are blocked by fallen pillars. You deciding that this place is a maze you climb on top of a pillar to get past it. Once you hauled yourself past the heavy stone cylinder you finally see signs of life, a camp with a dead fire but the wood still smolders continuing to corrupt the air with a thin line of grey smoke. Dust disturbed by large sweeps of cloth from tents, even evidence of food was still left as bread crumbs lingered on the cracked paved floor. you take a single glance to find you are in some sort of square and to your surprise there was a door with heavy wood still on its hinges unblocked by stone. As you approach the door you here a slight avalanche of pebbles. You turn with such ferocity your attacker abort's their assault. Their bare feet slid against the sharp stone and their figure show no signal of pain, the being stands revealing herself. A elf woman with the lower half of her face hidden beneath a cloth and the rest of her body clad in a mesh of leather and cloth. She holds her short sword tauntingly trying to provoke an attack from you.

Ecko
The forest was like most with tall trees unconquered by men's axes with signs of failed attempts as proof. You could smell of rabbit stew in the distance with a crackle of a creek to indicate that the human scum was near water. You see a slight hill hiding the puny river, you crawl upon your stomach walking in animal prowl with your muscles tightening for a pounce, you poke your head above the peak of the slope to see a man with robes eating the stew. You prepare to strike then you notice something odd, a human body laid still with the purist tattoos stretching across his body and you didn't smell the dead sack of flesh was intriguing. The man turned to see you with a stern face as if he was expecting an interruption but the sternness melted away for a smile.
"Hello, Ecko. If you're are looking for the murderers of your wife you will find none here who were personally there. But you find the culprits' comrades and maybe a lead." The strange man announce to the world.
"How do you now about Sirral?!" You Roar with such anger, as you quickly dash to the robe being. You crash into the deep purple cloth to find nothing but air hiding beneath it. The man was across the creek with the bowl in hand still eating his meal peacefully. It was then you see his piecing yellow eyes and the bold amber gem in the middle of his head. He threw down the empty bowl that was now useless to him and yawn at the question.
"Go to the ruins and you may find your answers... If you want to find me then you will find me in the ruins at the High alter of sacrifice." and with that he faded into the background and was gone. You begrudingly track down the large sprawling ruins to find the purists.
You step through the entrance and you see that a large beast that look likes a combination of a wolf and a moose is waiting for you standing defiantly in front of you.

A'lor Le'or
You had lost the Hyena meat in the forest, the beast was so furious in its search for whatever it was seeking. You march throughout the forest to find yourself in some ancient burial ground, With soaring stone walls at the other end. You walk past the foreign grave markers that don't seem to fit any language you had contact with. Nothing seemed eerie to you in your travel in the assumed holy ground. You reach the wall to find two heavy doors parked in front of you. Curiosity caught your interest and you pushed past the doors. The tomb lead to a stairs and still nothing stirred in your presence, you begin to get upset at the absence of life. Your climb the stairs to find a narrow hallway and a large looking human made out of clay.
"Make clear of your Intent!" he commands your inability to talk makes the beast angry at your non responsive posture. "You say nothing, then you shall leave if not then i shall break you." the clay avatar states with authority in its voice. At that moment almost like some outside entity wanted to see you fight, you smell the gnoll above you on the next floor. Your hair perks up and you show your fangs at the clay man. "Your answer is final." it moves into a defensive position to allow you to make the first move.

Geliard & Amiri
The two of you been searching the ruins for two days have yet to see any sign of this artifact your employer described in such detail. The elf woman you encounter said she had no knowledge of the thing's existence and she lived there for her entire life.
"Damnit! where could that thing be! we need that information." Geliard angerly says underneath his breath as another building held no clue to the item of question's where abouts.
"Brother i found a path to that large building in the center!" Amiri shouts from the stroy above. Both of their hopes soar as their previous attempts to get within the building were fruitless due to the mass debris in the way of all the lower entrances. " the places looks like a temple so i think this place is the clergy's entrance." Amiri deducted. Geliard was rushing past everything leaving his sister behind to get to the massive building that seems to have entrap itself in ruins and blockades of rock.
"Amiri if this works out we could get to our family, free them and live happily." Geliard seemed to been overly excited about his job, thought Amiri, please don't let this job being a deadend. she prayed. as they arrived to the large triangular door that lead inside. there was man in a purple cloak with a mask hiding his face.
"Please this entrance is clergy only." the serious tone to the bad joke mad communication awkward.
"Get...Out...Of...Our...Way!!!" Galiard shouted with such intensity it scared Amiri. "If you don't i will kill you." the calmer sentence was truly the more menacing one of the two.
"Sorry. but like i said this is for Clergy only." the mask man said politely. With this Geliard lost it and attack.

More Backstory For Sierra (She dosn't remember all of this mind you)
Sierra is 22 and has already had countless suitors, all rejected.Sierra's heart belongs to a young soldier who saved her life from a raid of wood elves, she pleaded for him not to execute the failed raiders (There were 4 and though they were wounded they were later found to be young exiles, who after seeing the truth returned to their tribe) for she could see they were young, scared and alone. She was 16 at the time and the soldier 19. The boy's name is Dylan, but they lost contact a few months ago when he was ordered with the army to eradicate a group of Orcs.
Sierra chose to become a Paladin following her Grandmothers footsteps, who in the darkness of battle brought light to a group of humans. By killing the corrupted leaders. Sierra by all standerds is considered beutiful, and has fooled a great many group of men who thought she was here to "To see the battle" or "Look pretty" or lastly "Just for morale"
Sierras claymore has been passed down, even to those that have chosen to be smiths, great chefs, even politicians, Sierras family has a diverse career background.
I would write more but it is midnight and I need to get up in eight hours for band so... i'll do more later.

Post by: Tyranic Marta

Tyranic looks the girl over, she looks careworn and older than her years. His heart breaks at seeing the girls hand steadily on the sword. Noone that young should have to bear a weapon. He guessed her age at late teens his hand returned his sword to his sheath and with his shield still frimsly gripped in one hand. He slowly opens his hands to the sides, his slow calming voice rolling of his tongue
"I'm not here to hurt you. Tell me... Please, What is your name?"
"Why should I tell you?"
"I am a knight... A knight of Abrantias, far to the north. My name is Tyranic. Tyranic Marta." He steps forwards slowly and takes his helm off, shaking loose his long white hair.
"Please tell me... who are you? and what happened here?"
She looks warily at the tall but kindly looking knight. She relents slightly when he removes his helmet and she sees his grey eyes. Something in them inspires confidence.
"M... my name is Illana... and I dont know what happened... Ive been living here for a while... There have been... Things, stealing my food. I... I was worried you were one of them."
Her arm drops and Tyranic sees tears on her cheeks. He strides forwards and takes the girls hand in his right, gently and looks into her eyes, allowing his natural charisma to calm the girl.
"I am here now, and I will help. What things do you speak of?"

after this post im done for the night.

Mink im just going to call your character a'lor

a'lor
1-10

Tyranic
"From the shaman who was with us, all she could tell was they are ancient spirits that are chained to this place but in return of their entrapment they have gain marvelous power." Illana face twists as she remembers the haunted memories of her clan's demise from the ghastly fiends that lurk in the halls of the ruins. "There are avatars here that the spirits take control of and use to protect this place, they are the most dangerous and there are also beasts transformed to create guardians. But the worst of all are the humans who recently made this place their own. They are powerful, the avatars stopped attacking them since all that attack are destroyed." the flood of information stops as Illana gasps for breath, as she hungrily gulps down the musty air she begins to break down. Once she collected herself, she points to the door. "we were living in there but something broke through the magical barriers that the shaman put up. everyone that was inside is dead and its been trying lull everything that approaches in with false secrets. My brother was bought by a lie about treasure and my mother was tricked by a lie about our father still being alive."

Sierra
the Wood elves who have helped you never returned from their cleansing of the forest, for the last three months. you worry that they have been murdered or even worse captured for slavery. They request that humans stay out of the purifying rituals but you had enough with the waiting in worry and marched into the forest. You have followed the ritual carvings on the trees, to ruins with menacing essence that dominated the forest's will. You march fearlessly into the maze of grey walls and black paths. You find yourself in a gazebo with an altar with a book resting on top. The language was similar but not elven. You hear a rock slip from its place. You look up to see a dark figure.

Reiko
You were hired by a fairly large group of cultist for their pilgrimage to some large ruins in the middle of black forest. You naturally didn't care for the grim view and ever surprising dangers that thrived in the piles of stone and rubble. The cult was well adept at defending themselves from the monsters that came hunting for their flesh. They brought you to an altar and ask you to dissolve the final seal on a large box, using your training your broke the holy seal and a large silver goblet rose from it, even though light shone on it, it look dark and held no reflection. The moment you relax you found a dagger in your side and your blood in the cup which the leader drank from. He thanked you and levitated you and threw you through a window. You awoke with no idea how long you were unconscious. You rose and came through a corrider and found a young blonde women standing behind a altar with unfamiliar armor, it was obvious though that she wasn't with the cultists.

Tyranic pulls the girl into a armour plated hug for a few moments as a hard look comes over his face. He picks the girl up and places her gently down next to one of the pillars. His look clearly sais "stay here". Not trusting himself to stay calm when he speaks he just looks sternly at the gril for a few seconds until she nods. His face is then hidden by his helm as he places it back on and he draws his sword with a long resounding rasp. The angel wing flares shining in the light.

His feet resound on the paved ground with a series of muffled crashes as he approaches the door. Raiseing his shield he gently nudges the door open and steps through. His shadow obscures everything for a second but when his eyes adjust he lets out a breath he was unaware of holding. He takes his helmet off to better see the carnage. His leading left foot was planted in a pool of dried blood. The corpses of the elves beheaded or dismembered and the bodies tossed carelessly around the room like discarded toys. His breath catches in his throat at the mettalic smell of blood. He looks carefully over all the corpses, his eyes finally coming to rest on a elf dressed differently from the others. if the elf still had a face he would have looked for shamanistic tattoos but whatever had killed her had gnawed her face clean off.

Thinking of what the girl told him he goes down on one knee next to the body with a clink of armour on stone and runs his finger through the clotted blood on the elfs neck, brushing away the dryed Ichor. Soon the lines of veins appear and his suspicions are confirmed. The bulging veins black with venom are a testament to some form of vicious creatures attack. But the clotting of the venom suggests that she was infected with it minutes before her death. He looks around at the way the bodies are arrayed outwards from her. If he diddnt know beeter he would say she had killed them. And someone, or something had clearly gone togreat lengths to preserve this theory with placement of bodies. Smears of blood on the ground suggesting that the victems had ether crawled or had been dragged into their final resting positions. Judging by the fact that all of them had their arms loose at their sides he surmised that they had been dragged via thier shoulders before reaching their final position.

His eyes look at the position of the Shaman. The smears of blood up the wall at about eye level suggest that she had been held up and stabbed before being allowed to drop to the ground. This probably being the time that she was infected with the venom. He looked at the womans chest and saw a large bloody gash between her ribs and grimaced slightly. Several deep gashes meant long claws had ben plunged at an acute angle upwards, between her ribs and through her heart. Death would have been instant.

He frowns. This new discovery meant that she couldnt have had the venom injected via that source. This cearly being the killing blow judging by the visceral spray. His eyes alight on her neck again and he brushes more of the crusted blood aside to see several small puncture wounds. He lets out his breath in a hiss through his teeth as he stands up and draws his sword. He knew that pattern of tooth marks, lesser undead had killed these people.

He charged out of the building and without saying a word sheathed his sword, slung his shield on his back and picked up the girl then sprinted back to Purity. Placing her on the horse's back he leaps up behind her and rides of. His helmet still of she can see the worry on his face as she twists in thesaddle to look at him. He hears her anxious nearly panicky questions and silences her with a warm but worried look. Soon they get to a clearing away from the ruins and he sets up a camp.

"Why did you take me away from them??"
her nearly shouted words tear at his heart and he turns to her
"Undead, undead killed your friends and family, I had to get us both away from there. I will bury them once I have banished the Undead I vow it."

(((Culinary Fiend: Level 50 Prestige Class: Requires membership to a Dark Cult and professional cooking skills. Special: BON APATITE!)))

Reiko stood up, checking the wound in his side, already mostly healed, and made a mental note: cultists are stabby people. All they really needed to do was ask, but NO, they want to be quiet and selfish. He'd have their heads for this. Reiko was not a vengeful person, but drinking his blood was straight up nasty. He turned back to the ruin, not sure how long he had been out, and looked in the window. He noted inside, a fairly young elfish girl, in odd armor. He carefully stepped to the window, noting that she was leaving along with another, a man in thick white and gold plate-mail, wielding a Hand and a Half Sword were leaving. The bright armor made him cringe. Too shiny and too heavy, useless against the little guys. He decided that staying here had no real benefit, and decided to follow them as they headed through the forest, eventually entering a clearing, where they set up a small camp. As they engaged in conversation, he slowly approached, shield and Zweihander slack in his hands. He then greeted them the moment they noticed:

"Hay."

(Note on my gear, its not plate mail, its full plate armour, and its not a hand and a half sword, its a bastard sword, slightly shorter and with a one handed grip)

Tyranic drew his sword turning in one fluid motion, here he sees the man wince at the light reflecting of his sword, and levels it at the intruder, his shield still on his back but the barstard sword would be enough to defend himself and the girl. His eyes travel over the black garbed man. His mind already summing up the mans strengths and weaknesses in case of a fight. The horns on his helmet may provide a hand hold for a grip if needed., the light armour and the shield to thin to be any good. The greatsword he could appreciate however the one handed grip of the man suggesting serious levels of strength but Marta knew that that kind of strength would last only so long. If the worst came to the worst he could use his armor's unobvious lack of wieght to his advantage and make the man swing and miss, tiring him. Marta shifted his feet slighly evening his weight out across them and preparing to dodge or block a swing. He tightens his grip on his sword and shamelessly pulls his shield across his chest to a defensive position. His slow calm voice tinged with anger from what he had witnessed earlier rolls out.
"What is your business here Blackguard? I see no villages to plunder, or was that ruin your doing?"
The man spreads his hands to either side and then points at the wound in his side.
"I am about as welcome there as you are Knight"
Tyranic looks at the man and sees some kind of melancholy, the displeasure at wanting to fight the wish to just be at peace for a time and he sheaths his sword and lowers his shield.
'I believe you are no threat to us... But I would strongly reccommend against fighting me. Neither of us need that kind of fight right now."
He turns and continues to pitch tents, the one he usually carries and a small lean-to to put his gear in. The girl looks at the tent with tripidation.
"Were both sleeping in there?"
"Im twice your age girl, deal with it"
She laughs, a high musical sound that sets Tyranic at ease but a quick glance at the stocky warrior still at the egde of the clearing shows the man clenching his jaw.
"I wasnt worried about that, more that im not sure there would be room."
"I dont sleep in my armour Illana"
She frowns "Alright fine, but there had better be room Knight"
Marta shrugs "There will be" He turns to the Blackguard "Are you keeping us company this night warrior?"

Fyi bastard swords have a hand and a half grip its the "Bastard" child of a great sword and a long sword, long swords have a single hand grip.

((( Full-plate? Should have figured, with the Knight thing and all. So The Bastard Sword you use is a Victorian Longsword?)))

Reiko shrugged slightly. "I don't sleep much, so I don't need a tent, but if want me here, I might as well stay." He hefted his massive sword into the sheath on his back, and dropped the shield, grip up, and sat on it cross-legged. "The shield doubles as my 'bed'. My only concern is the girl at the moment."

By the Victorian Era, a Bastard Sword was a Longsword, where-as sabers and short-swords were standard.

Post by: Tyranic Marta

huh? ive already posted tho... was hoping for some GM interaction? No?

ok...

Tyranic allows the girl to head to sleep and takes watch, as much as he talked it up there never would have been room in the tent for both of them so he sat down next to a tree with his sword on his lap battling off sleep. Eventually he realised that nothing had followed them and he allowed himself to have a few hours restful sleep. In the morning he woke up to the smells of frying flesh and he looked over to see the small elf girl frying a dead rabbit on a flat rock. She looked up when his armour clinked and she smiles.
"Thanks for letting me stay in the tent, I finally managed to get some sleep... I havn't been sleeping well lately. But you being here felt safe."
"Im happy I could help"
"Do you want some rabbit?"
"I thought elves were vegetarian"
"Common misconception"
"Huh... in that case sure"

The two ate a small meal, Tyranic making small talk about things that steered the girls focus away from her family and friends. Soon however he stood brushing bread crumbs off of his Tabard.
"Please. Stay here... I do not want any harm to befall you... I will return within the day"
He turns to go but stops and turns back around
"Illana"
"Yes?"
"Do not dwell on your family. They are in a better place"
Her only reply a sad nod and with nothing more to say to the girl he mounts Purity and rides swiftly back to the ruins. Once there he continues his examination of the bodies and thier layout and realises that the shaman was killed last. The decay on the woman was less advanced than her peers. So significantly that her death must have post dated that of the others by as much as an hour. Looking over the corpses one last time he slowly begins taking them outside and washing them by drawing water from the well. It is not a pleasant task but it is one that he endures for the good of the souls of the dead. despite what he said to the girl he had to get these Elves buried before their souls. Thier persone would find rest. Aafter cleaning the bodies he dug them all shallow graves and buried them gently speaking rites of passing and death above them. Afterwards he piled the graves high with a cairn of stones. The double burial and blessings should ward the bodies from furthur attacks from the undead.

Finally finished he takes a break before scouting more of the ruins. The sun now on its downwards descent he was not able to scout for to long before he began to make his way back. What he did find however was exactly what he was looking for. Not 500 metres from the house of the killings was a thin trail of smoke, upon closer inspection from a source of cover he noticed the sihouettes of several perfectly still sentries. The hallmark of Lesser undead.

Upon returning to the small campsite he shared with the girl he took the time to set up holy wards writ with blessings that would ward attacks and unwanted attention from the place. Telling the girl of how he buried her family brought a small measure of peace to the young elf and Tyranic felt better for the tale. At greater ease with the battle to come the following day he drifts into a calm sleep by the fire.

Post by: Tyranic Marta

Rising early and before the dawn Tyranic began to clean his armor. Wearing only his white underarmor robes and breeches his hands drifted over the surface of the Plate. Words murmured through his lips taking physical form and plunging through his hand onto the armor. The blessings covering the surface of the ancient Adamant-Puresteel alloy suit of armor.

Eventually he had covered the entire surface of the armor with holy wards designed to migitate the damage that undead or daemons could inflict upon it. He heard the girl stirring in the tent as he put the armor back on. She came out to the image of his bare arms strapping on his chest plate and she blushed heartily. But Tyranic just laughed. His deep calming voice rolling out
"Twice your age girl, twice your age"
She nodded hastily before dropping down to her knees to stoke the fire back to life. Tyranic Looked at the fire sadly, realising that he may not come back to it if this went wrong.
"No breakfast for me... Im not going to want stitch"
he mounts his horse and makes the journey to the ruins. Not even saying goodbye to the girl who had come to view him as a protector. And a surrogate father while she sorted her emotions out.

Tyranic was not oblivious to the girls distress but also did not want to create to strong a bond with the young Elf. The biggest mistake an Abrantian could make was to get attatched to someone before he was ready to stop hunting the darkones. Even if it was only as a father figure. he pushed the thoughts out of his mind and began chanting litanies under his breath. The words seeming to flow around him creating a golden aura that he knew would mute the senses of any undead nearby him.

Soon he came to the coutyard near the burial cairns. After checking their integrity and atisfied with his findings he draws his sword and moves to the camp of undead. Sword drawn and shield bared he settles into a defensive stance and waits for the undead to spot him. Sure enough they begin making gurgling calls to thier master and then they charge him. He smashes one away carelessly with his shield and hacks the other down with his sword. The blessed blade slicing cleanly through the beasts neck and down it goes. Troubling him no more. A swift stomp of his armored boot into the first undead. Who he had knocked over. Ended its existance as well.

Raising his eyes to the campsite he sees a tall warrior moving towards him and he prepares himself for battle.

Geliard was a reasonable man, but this priest was sorely testing the limits of his patience. He felt it odd that the clergyman had blocked their path, for what church still existed amidst the rubble. Geliard had heard tales, dark rumors of sacrifice and diabolism carried out in such forlorn places. Carefully, as not to draw attention to what he was doing, the bearded man slowly began to ease his swords from their sheathes, letting his his hands subtly close around the handle of each. He twitched an eye towards Amiri, signaling her to be ready for anything, and his sister tensed ever so slightly, her fingers gracing her bowstring lightly. When Geliard spoke, he tried to keep the irritation out of his voice, an act which he failed to accomplish.

"Sir, my sister and I search for a relic of great personal importance to us, please either allow us entry or step aside, we don't have time for any delay."

The priest simply fixed the pair with the two hazel orbs that stared from the violet mask. "Strangers from Dres'noth, you will not find what you seek here. I know of what you speak, and you will never posses it. It belongs to the Clergy, would you violate our sacred halls with your heathen tread? Begone, forget you ever knew of this place."

Geliard gritted his death in frustration, practically spitting out his next words; "Priest, step aside, I will respect any and all of your laws, please allow my sister and I to enter your temple. The very lives of our family rest upon our entry."

The priest seemed to smile behind the mask, his eyes twinkling with sadistic mirth. "No Geliard and Amiri of Clan Wrost, you will not set foot in our temple, nor will you find the relic which you seek. Depart, seek us not. Our secrets are not for mortal minds. They would flay your psyche apart in a torrent of knowledge that your feeble brains could not hope to ever comprehend. You will never find them."

Almost imperceptibly, the priest moved his hands from within the folds of his voluminous sleeves, drawing forth a wavy bladed kris with incredible speed and dexterity. Geliard leapt back as the priest stabbed downwards where the former gutter-runner had stood only a moment before. Gods, he was fast! Faster than any he had fought before. It was clear to the Wrost siblings that they were dealing with a professional. With blinding speed, Amiri launched a shaft from her bow, the arrow screaming through the air to clatter against the stone edifice where the priest had been less than a second ago. Geliard leapt back, drawing both of his short swords in a single deft motion, slashing the blade in his right towards the priest's stomach, and the one in his left towards his masked face. The priest twirled in the air, lifting from the ground to glide evenly between the flash of brother Wrost's swords. Lashing out viscously, the priest caught Geliard under the chin with a firm kick, snapping his head backwards and causing him to stumble. Amiri loosed another arrow, this time sending the shaft through the priest's shoulder in a bloody spray. The priest cursed, hurling the wavy-bladed dagger towards Amiri as his other hand produced another blade of the same craft. The ritual athame was expertly thrown, but Amiri had long ago taken her brother's lessons to heart, and leapt to the side. Despite her speed, steel did part the flesh of her right cheek, causing a thin line of crimson to ooze down her face. Geliard shoved himself up from the ground by his palms, his legs pointed outwards like a pair of tines. His brief flight saw his legs knifing into the priest's back, knocking the kris from his hand and sending him sprawling. Tumbling expertly, the priest regained his footing, but not fast enough to avoid the savage kick from Amiri that cracked solidly into the side of his head. Weaponless, the priest sunk into a battle stance, beckoning the siblings towards him. Geliard twirled his blades as he leapt into the air, as Amiri loosed arrow after arrow in the priest's direction. The priest twisted and danced as he avoided the deadly shafts, laughing at the futility of the sibling's assault. His giddy chuckle became a scream of rage and pain as an arrow ripped into his left leg, sending him crashing to the ground. In as instant Geliard was upon him, blades whistling towards their mark. The priest lashed out, his fist catching Geliard in the left ear, causing him to curse at the pain. The priest took advantage of the situation immediately, catching the Wrost sibling under the chin with a two-handed hammerblow that sent the bearded man reeling. Amiri joined the fray, slamming her fist into the side of the priest's head with such force that she felt the skull give slightly. The priest groaned, shakily rising to his feet as both Wrost siblings closed in. Geliard rent open the priest's robes with a slash from his left blade, parting the flesh with the steel, leaving the priest's left arm ragged and bleeding. Amiri kicked the priest hard in the leg in which her arrow was lodged, eliciting a howl of pain from the clergyman, who tried desperately to hobble out of the deadly net of steel woven by Geliard's twin swords, the ebony bearded man's eyes alight with anger. Slashing both of his blades upwards, Geliard drove his swords into the priest's armpits, who struggled to release himself from the lethal embrace. The priest put his weight forward, causing Geliard to stumble, and giving the clergyman the opportunity he needed to smash his masked forehead against Geliard's, breaking the skin and causing blood to trickle down his face. Amiri swung forward, punching the priest hard in the throat, and felt the cartilage give way to her fist. Wheezing, the priest fell to the rocky ground, desperately trying to crawl away from the vengeful Wrost siblings. Geliard stepped on the hem of the priest's lavender robe, pinning him to the ground. "No! Get away! Killing me will ensure you will never enter the temple!" Geliard paused for only a moment before impaling the priest's legs with his twin swords, causing him to shriek with pain and fear.

"You tried to kill us! Mercy is too precious to be wasted on a killer and deceiver like you! Your words are poisonous as an adder's venom. But you are skillful in your murderous trade, why would a simple priest be trained as a razor-dancer? Speak, our patience has been worn threadbare!"

"What the hell is this all about?" Came the query risen from an inhuman throat. Amiri whirled about, arrow knocked and sighted down the shaft at the gnoll who now stood nearby. Geliard turned slightly, careful not to let the priest out of his sight. "Ho, stranger! Be you friend or foe?" As the gnoll made to step forward, Amiri called out; "Not a step closer, hyena-ken! Who are you? What brings you to these accursed ruins? Be ye traveler or grave robber? Relic seeker or bandit? Speak quickly, my brother and I are in no mood for vagaries!"

Ecko did a quick once-over of these people, they were Dres’noth, and superb fighters it would appear, though they stood a head and a half shorter than him, that could be an advantage in combat. Resting the head of his bladed mace on the ground, he spoke “I am looking for the Purist scum who I have tracked for two years, they cost me my hand,” he said, indicating his left hand, the bleached bones bound to him by magiks alone.

A flash of understanding crossed between the siblings for an instant, before quickly vanishing. Amiri spoke this time, speaking clearly and carefully. "Forgive us if we don't entirely believe you. Gnolls are not known for their truthful tongues nor their gentle natures. Show us a sign of good faith, and perhaps we will speak of our quests."

Ecko cackled slightly, his heyena-like laugh vaguely disturbing. “I am not a ‘Gentle’ being, I have killed one of the purist only, in the woods of my homlands.” said the Gnoll. He removed a large necklace of teeth, claws, beaks, and other trophies from a haversack at his side. In the center was a human skull, bereft of jawbone, covered in etched script. “This is the first one I found” upon a closer reading, the script was written in gnoll glyphs, it was an ancient vengeance rite, that dedicated the souls of the dead man to yeenoghu, to punish the purist for 1000 years in vengeance for his children on uhria, only then would they be judged.

“That is all I have to give” said Ecko.

"Hay."

She was pointing her sword around, and had lit the inside of the temple. He strode around to the door while she was distracted. As soon as she turned her attention from the door, he stepped in, poking her in the rear with his Zweihander.

Sierra jumped at the poke and the man behind her. She backed up allowing her parrifeal vision to see both the dark figures.
"Cé go bhfuil tú!" Sierra yelled in elven, looking back and forth at the two. Seeing how the man who poked her is dressed in dark she whispers "Protegat me Deus tenebris" allowing a thin aura to cover the women (She is in her 20s) She knows her aura won't protect from an attack, but she couldn't remember the last time she used real magic. She hoped it would fool the men.

(It isn't just agaisnt evil, it is ALOT better against evil and magic, some are against physical damage[ Sierra dosn't know any yet] but they don't make the user invenurable)

"Im not an elf, "Sierra said firmly "Who are you" Sierra tried to remember a combat spell. She couldn't. "Is féidir dia beannaigh mo claíomh agus a flesh curse" She recited sending light over her claymore. "And you!" She said pointing her free hand at the figure "ANSWEAR MY DAMN QUESTION!"

Reiko watched quietly as she attempted to interrogate the figure in the shadow. She was a Paladin. His complete opposite. She was loud, proud, and if he was correct, rather stupid, whereas Reiko was quiet, humble, and cunning. He spell was crude, as if she never cast it before, though she held her sword with competency. He contemplated several actions. Starting a fight, leaving, rape. Several plans were formed, but he simply decided to wait things out. He looked absently at the figure past her. Difficult to see in the dark, but none too intimidating.

Sierra looked at the man standing to her right. She looked at the book on the altar. Looking at the 'thing' in the darkness she walked proudly, keeping the two in her sight, and grabbed the book off the alter, just to see this beasts reaction. She remembered a spell that could turn the tides. She mouthed "Vidit omnes deos spernere peccatorum" three times before she remembered how to use it. " You" She said pointing to Reiko "Your bleeding, I can patch that up, in exchange for information" she said remembering her elven rations.

Reiko flipped his sword so the point was down, and slammed it between two stones on the floor, then raised his hands infront of him and shook them to loosen them up.

"How about no?" he said quietly, and he pulled his sword out of the stones with an ominous ring.

After leaving the girl you mind wonders go through the different possibilities of how these ruins came to be ruins. You begin to think about what had slain the elf's family and clan. You break the mental fog to deem it necessarily to be observant not wanting to be lost and unable to find your way out. You find yourself looking at a exit of the ruins surprised your mount naturally seemed to be trying to get out of the cursed land. Irritation itched your discipline as you nudge your mount to turn around.
But in the process you are flung by an unexplained force. You look up to see your horse slain and being currently devoured by a large beast undead in nature but reptilian in build. It easily held the beast of labor up with only its jaws but once its eyes trained on you. it let your faithful steed dropped to the cold stone ground. It hisses at you and with its breath you could smell the dangerous toxins. Its claws could rip a man in half with little effort.
The monster lunges at you with one claw outreach trying to ether grab you or slice you.

Tyranic.
Even with all your skill you were unable to dodge the vicious assault from the scaled beast. Your side is wounded with a slightly sustain flow of blood and the smell of human made the monster even more tenacious. It tries to rip its hand out of the wall to get another swing at you

Shaben
You awake in a tunnel, remembering what had happen to you and where you are were just out of reach of your current ability. You take a deep breath and stand up. If you were the size of a human you would be crushed. as you squeezed and dug your self out you found yourself in the midst of a clay avatar and a wolfman and the battle seem equal as both were in a stalemate

(Great so the first encounter I have kills my class feature :\)

Tyranic grimaces. The plate armour had been as nothing to the beast but his training told him that the armour would repair itself soon. The holy plate unwilling to remain damaged, it was his own body he had to worry about.

He picks up his sword from where it had fallen and sprints forwards ignoring the throb in his side. He takes advantage of the beasts incapacitation in the wall. By attacking on its blind side and stabbing his sword through the beasts head behind the ear.

Tyranic
Your Sword misses its intended target but instead slicing straight through its lower jaw. The beast is outrage and focuses, foolishly, on the wall that has entrapped its fist. when it frees itself it flees knowing that it now can feed needs to heal.
You feel defeated knowing not only had you failed at killing the beast you also had not had revenge the death of your mount.
"Don't worry about the Larcifiric, its beaten and it knows it. The others will devour it if it can't outurn its siblings." You turn to a see a larger than life shaved bald man with a amber gem in the middle of his forehead. "If you need a replacement horse i suggest using the ones that the elves left behind." and with that he leaped off the rubble and simply taking a moment to pause he punched the wall that the Larcifiric had failed to demolish and in a inferno of smoke and debris. The entire wall crumples over and a tiny herd of horses are revealed. once you turn to face the stranger he is gone and you are wondering if he was friend or foe.

Amiri debated with herself. There was no way to tell whether the Gnoll was being truthful. She had only faith to rely on.
"Though we cannot say we trust you, I suppose it would be a fair chance to take; in telling you our tale," She spoke with a frown and a glance at her brother, looking for approval. "We, too, seek vengeance against the man who has taken our family; a cruel and persistently lewd man whose fault it is that we've been exiled. Perhaps it would be beneficial for all of us if we were to join together." She raised an eyebrow, challenging the Gnoll with her suggestion.

Ecko considered this, he had learned early as a pup, that a pack was better than a lone hunter, and who knew? maybe this could be beneficial. but as a Gnoll, he would be wary of them.

"Very well." he said, and lowered his massive shield.

Rebirth.
75 Years after these events.
Quick write up of what happened( Finishing the events)

Tyranic- After purging the undead from the land with help of Sierra( See her event ), You take her and the Elf girl as apprentices and roam helping the good and killing the evil. Eventualy you settle down in the kings palace, living out your days teaching new warriors and paladins. You die peacefully in your sleep, but because of your service, you are brought back with all knowledge and a younger body the following morning.

You May play as Tyranic or Deny the reincarnation and make a new character( A grandson he descends from You and the elf or maybe a women you choose )

Sierra- After helping Tyranic and following him, she undertook a mission to purge all evil from the land by killing the 'Core' which corrupts souls it passes its' identy along. Nobody has heard from her, but some say slayed the core, but in doing so ever surrendered her soul to evil and now is the 'Core' This was 22 Years ago today.

Rieko- Aftera quick fight with sierra( Resulting in a draw) you seek to find the 'Core' and become it.Your plan fails, but it does gift you with powers, increased size, and the ability to corrupt those around you. You ravange the land until the 'Cores' power is snuffed and replaced, in which your mortality is returned.

You may continue Rieko or pick a new character.

Im sorry but those were the only storys I really knew ,but feel free to PM me or post a backstory, as long as you don't god mode and say "I have all powers and am 600 feet tall!"

Origionally he was erm... 45 from mem. So +75, died around 90... he would be about... 35.... wow thats convenient. Hes already epically trained and has had 35 more years to train as well... aweseome. And I'ma gonna say that his armour was passed down to him through his order. He ended up back in his homeland of Abrantias and settled down there. He was found out in the wastes by a group of monks who brought him back and found him to be the reincarnation of Tyranic with all his Memories. He was renamed, Vita Cruor: Lifeblood.

He has his old armour and weapons

I'm curious as to what happened with Geliard and Amiri. Interesting idea, the Walrus approves. This thread seems to move in cycles of death and rebirth. Hopefully this will be the last death it suffers. I'm in for this, and will attempt to lasso Mortified back in as well.

He was a pladin? Right?
If he was I would assume Paladins would be much healthier and so him living to around the 100 area(95-105) would be about right.

I personaly would assume you would have a second sword, but if you were to take care of it I gueeeess you could still have it.

As for the story I wrote, you will need to find sierra. You died wondering (You two had become frineds, along with the elf girl) about a very good firend whom you had saved many times, and she had done the same. The elf went back to her village and died a peacful death much like yourself.

Idk if the others will even respond, they have virtualy abandoned dakka for Darkos RP website. I was banned already for like a day -_- (Although, it was probly a little of my fault), But i wiould like for you to atleast find sierra( big plot rape)

Geliard and Amiri were the brother/sister pair in search of Geliard's family, who had been stolen by a noble whom Amiri had castrated as he tried to rape her, who then kidnapped their family in revenge. His sheet can be found on page 14, if I recall correctly. Did they ever find their family? Did the noble get what he deserved. Please know that Geliard wouldn't let him die slowly, and his cruel torture of the villain may haunt him for the rest of his life. Either that, or his dies heroically as Amiri escapes with their family, or vice versa.

I noticed your introduction page, and thought it might have been you, but was unsure.

This "Core" is new to me, but it gives me the opportunity to increase the corrupted look of Reiko.

Uriah RPG @ 2011/09/04 01:43:33

Post by: TheWildHost

The 'Core' Is new to everyone, I Personaly saw no, Overall goal. It was more of a "Ok so you are fighting random thing, and you are trying to do something random" Like there was no, Grand reason they were doing. It was like only side quests. In this there will be side quests for gold or armor or a diffrent reward, but those won't be all of the events.
Like, Rieko will probly want his Immortality back, but will have to find the new Core, while Tyranic will try to wipe out the core, by say using an artifact or spell to make sure it stays dead, Old ritual anyone?

Sadly I can't think of a way Amiri or geliard will survive to be old enough to be well enough to fight, so new characters (Children? Grand children? Etc, unless you want a new character which anybody can choose and write their own back story and goal i am not, however binding anybody, to this goal, it is more of ' I would expect your characters to take this goal')

Geliard And Amiri
The Duos quest was completed, about halfway. THe family was found. The noble was found. Exept there was a problem. The family was burned to death as Amiri tried to enter the keep. Turns out, the noble tricked them into believing if they helped defend from a marauder attack, he would let them go, just without any of their treasure. They thought by chaining themselves across the gate they could keep them out. The noble had the key. The familys screams fueled a previously unfelt. The Noble Watched in delight as the family screamed, and cryed realizng they had been tricked. Geliard led the way, anhilating all gaurd in his path, and even the servents and slaves(Other than the famly but they are charred corpses) when Amiri's time came, she couldn't do it. The man was weak. When she Turned her head to ask Geliard to burn him (Inquisitor style so he had the most painful death) he lunged, digging a hiddin' dagger deep into the gnolls throat. Geliard proceded to knock him unconcious with his bare hands, position him on a stake and light him on fire. He also left daggers in his main arterys, very pain full, but as long as they plugged he would survive. With no family left Geliard roamed as a killer, freeing slaves and killing the rich who stood laughing. Only when he came upon a caring noble( Ha ironic) did he end his rampage and marry her. He killed himself when she died 14 months after marrige with 2 kids , who also became sick with a plauge so sick, not even the highest level of mages and paladins could cure them. He was found with his wrists slit in his bed.

I presume Geliard would gain some kind of dark title for slaughtering slave-owning nobles, hence the name 'Crimson Wanderer.'

As i thought, but you never know( Maybe something I missed in the rp)
Hmmmm. A child of the noble wife, or maybe a one night stand with a freed slave or something.

It could work.

There would be a major backlash in the noble courts, as being married to a murderous abolitionist makes you few friends.

You may choose, oh and the Noble( Should have added this) was in a remote mountains, her only true friends were her 'Workers' who came from a nearby village. SHe fed them and allowed them shelter from the beasts outside( Bad village) so the plauge she died from, killed her family. She was infected the whole time, she just refrained from telling Geliard( She could have saved alot of heartache) but two( YOu could be the third) of the kids died of the cold and sickness.

Vita woke in a cold sweat. It had been years seen he had seen that. his horse Purity being ripped to shreds buy the licto Daemon. He shuddered and rolled over his hand brushing against the back of the human woman lying with her back to him. he smiled gently and caressed her shoulders through her nightgown as she slept.

Still smiling he slowly got out of his bedd scratching his neck he began to head down to the river to get ready for the day. He knew that Ilya slept late. And he always had breakfast ready. He had gotten down to the river and was collecting water into a pair of pails before washing up when he heard a rustling sound in the snow covered trees.

His eyes flicked up to see a pair of ravens looking down at him, one with an albino beak. He stared the ravens down, he knew whos they were. Jambo was fond of keeping an Eye on his protegee. Vita finished washing and headed back to the house he and Ilya shared. The single story cottage was about as far as you could get from his ansestral home but he diddnt care. He diddnt feel like a Marta these days anyway. The blood wasnt with him anymore.

-------------------------------

The day wore on slowly with Vita working on the ringmail he had decided to make for his sons manhood ceremony. He still had several years to produce the armour but he was lavishing all of his skill into the chain and plate mail armour.
the repeditive sounds of his hammer striking the steel was always soothing for Vita. He had learned young that steel was his closest friend. Normally unyielding and hard but with the proper care and devotion could be molded to fit any ideal.

He stopped once he had finished the right pauldron. The plate armour was nearly done the chain could take months. He headed back inside for lunch where he found Ilya sitting in a corner reading a story to thier son. His fair haired son was named Lucian after his grandfather, he was sitting on his wifes lap watching the enchanted pictures of a Daemon and a knight in shining white plate fight as his Ilya read him the words. The 8 year old boy was filling out but still was young at heart. At soul. But sometimes his mind was very very old. The product of the harsh training regimine of the Abrantians and his heritage. Vita was not exactly a soft old man and he and his son would frequently trek up into the mountains surrounding their home. Ilya however was a soft caring woman who would do anything for the men in her life.

Vita strode over to the pair and sat next to his wife, wrapping his arm around her shoulders and pulling her into his chest as they read the story to thier son.

-------------------------------

Vita was in full armour, it had been a long time since he had worn the Adamantine alloy Plate armour but it still was like a second skin to him. His twin swords were sheathed behind each shoulder and his hands were resting on Lucians shoulders. His son was no longer a boy, and at 21 he was about to go through his manhood ceremony. The time when he would be a true knight of Abrantias. Vita couldnt be more proud but there was a touch of sadness in his heart. Ilya would never see this day. She had died in childbirth 4 years ago and left Vita to raise a daughter and a son. the 4 year old girl Iris was hugging the chest of her fathers mentor and personal priest. Jambo. The old man was to old to be a part of the ceremonies anymore and he was grateful to be able to participate in his Protegee's sons ceremony, even if it was only as a babysitter.

Vita pushed his son forwards gently as his name was called and the armour and sword Vita had made for him were given to him and a single cut was traced along the young mans jaw. The sign of a full blooded Abrantian knight.

Vita couldnt be more proud

-------------------------------

Vita was broken. Iris had been struck down buy an illness caught near the wastelands. He was kneeling next to her bed in his full armour at 45 his 23 yearold son beside him, tears dripping from the faceplate of the young mans helmet. Vita knew he couldnt return to this place. With so many harsh memories the house would be his daughters funeral pire.

As the two men mounted thier Abrantian horses and rode away from the burning house Vita closed his eyes and recited a vow under his breath. A vow that would shape his life to come.

(I aged him a bit)

Thinking of playing a warrior, the son of the Crimson Wanderer who cannot find a purpose to his life, and travels the world as a wandering sellsword. Somehow, I see he and Vita getting along just fine, as they are both well-accustomed with tragedy.

Name- Vita Cruor

Race- Human - Abrantian

Class- Knight

View of the Core- The unholy monstrosity must be destoryed

Fear- Loss. Vita Has lost to much in his long life and it has become one of his vices, the fear of losing his son.

Addiction- N/A

Experience with battle- 100 years

Age- In his new body, 45, total, 130

Relatives- None living, But he has a son named Lucian

Occupation- Knight of Abrantias

Mount- Honour, Pureblooded Abrantian Mare.

Place of Birth- Abrantias A place hidden by a mountain range at the far north of the world. The Knights of Abrantias travel far and wide seeking to aid the men and women of the world and save them, or help them save themselves, against the darkness of the deathlands. The source of Necromancy.

Life Story- Tyranic Like all Abrantians began life simply, but like all Abrantians was born into a household of Honour and trust. And so he grew up in comfort, not harshness, training himself to become the best there is. He befrended a young traveller by the name of Ludias and the pair of them fought one anouther when they sparred, trained one with anouther and encouraged the other to reach the pinaccle of his abilities. Soon they were hunting in the mountains killing goblins, Orks, Trolls, anything that stood in their way. Ludias was the son of a trader, who abandoned Ludias into the care of Tyranic's perants. So the pair grew up as brothers but Ludias was never privy to the same rights a s a Blooded Abrantian. This diddnt bother him in the slightest because of the trust that they all showed him. It had nothing to do with them not liking him. It was simply old magic that couldnt be broken. Ludais accepted this and began to live in the mountains when he was older. It was here that Tyranic would often go to train and soon he hardly came back. The Abrantians saw the benifits of Allowing Tyranic to train high up in the mountains. It would inure him to the hardships of the world. And so when he killed his first orc. High up in the Gaia's ring mountains he had noone around him but his Friend. And so they bonded more closley with every passing victory. Thus when Tyranic's 18th Birthday rolled around and he was a perfect specimen of what a Abrantian should be, he was more than ready, because of the companionship of Ludias. He was Strong, Brave and more to the point, ready to step out into the harshness beyond the mountains. He and his Surrogate Brother were given Armour, true weapons and Horses. They trekked out of the mountains for many months. They knew them better than anyone but even for them the journey was difficult. This was a test of the Abrantians, anyone who was not able to beat the elements should not try to beat death. Eventually they reached the foothills around the mountains and waiting for them was a city. The City of the Freetrade Abrantians. Here warriors would come to learn about what the Abrantian goal was. To protect Uriah from the evils of the Deathlands. The source of Necromantic magic. Tyranic trained Long and HArd in the banishment of Undead and even in the fighting of Daemons. Soon he was a formidable warrior, his light plate armour was covered in runes detailing his life and his knights helm had a lateral crest, sweeping from one ear to the other over the top of his skull. The Crest was made of Steel and was etched with a single rune. That of the Destroyer. An Ancient Deity who Tyranic had dedicated his Martial life to. The Destruction of all that stood in the way of the light.

At his 30th yeah Tyranic And Ludias were more than ready to leave the City of Freetrade Abranitans. Known as Mountains edge. While Tyranic had been training for his role as a Knight Ludias had taken on a slightly different profession. That of a mercanary. He had trained himself in the use of The heaviest of Armours and in the use of great Maces and crossbows. He was a force to be reckoned with wielding his now trademark twin Spire Maces. Ludias had however become darker than his friend. His soul slowly being currupted by the darkness that only Abrantians could resist this close to the roof of the world. The two became a pilgramige for the holy knights of the Abrantian Order. The ultimate act of Penace to find these two warriors amidst the cold wastes of the world.

In Tyranics 45th Year he appeared back in the circle of Knights sweeping Uriah helping the innocent. Many asked him where his freind was but he would not answer.

After 100 years of existance Tyranic finally died in his sleep, but was Reincarnated immediatly afterwards with his memories intact. He was named Vita Cruor. He fell in love with a girl as he grew up and eventually the pair married. Ilya bore him a son and a daughter. However she died in childbirth when Iris (his daughter) was born and Iris died aged six from the deathtouch.

Appearance/Attitude/Mood/Mannerisms: Tyranic has pure white hair, a the genetic fallout from living in the place that sees the most snowfall in Uriah. His ancestors ong ago having evolved the colouration for stealth in the snowy wastes. His ice blue eyes and pale skin make him look almost wraithlike but his heart is as pure as moutain water. He is a quiet man who speaks with a soft tone of voice and only when he feels the need to speakhis mind on matters that require his attention.

His armour has been designed with the specific purpose of resisting the attacks that undead seem to favour, heavy armour piercing blows. Thus his armour is actually two layers of Starlight Steel. that link togethr and are very difficult to pierce. The runes adorning his armour are purely decorative but indeed make him an intimidating foe. His Helm adds to this effect with the crest adorning it and the faceless visage that it is. Many will run in fear before attacking the Massive knight.

His Bastard sword is about 4 1/2 feet long with a long handle and an ornate crossguard shaped like the wings of a mountain Eagle. Theat arch up towards the blade. His Gothic Shield is a strong triangel adorned with yet more runes, but these are of warding against magic and necromancy. His body itself is scarred with runes and engravings etched by the priests and clerics of his order and it can resist more magic than an ordainary human should be able to.

Equipment- Pair of bastard swords, Plate Armour

Name- Reiko

Appearance-

Personality- Quiet, calm, reserved.

View Of The Core- Sealed. Power like that cannot be destroyed, he thinks.

Experience With Battle- High. 75 years of power has made him extremely knowledgeable in tactics, though his power is back to mortal standards. He is now much faster and more agile, though still extremely strong. He forgoes heavy armor in favor of moving with his speed faster than some rouges could.

Age- 86

Relatives- None

Occupation- Redeemed Black Knight

Mount- N/A

Fear- Core: He believes that when he reaches the core, he will be tempted to take it again.

Addiction- Evil: The powers of darkness have not stopped beckoning to him.

Race- Human

Class- Knight

Place of Birth- Lost Church

Life Story- (Page 13) After the Core's power left him, Reiko began to feel bitter, and reclused for a year to meditate. When he came out, he had turned his back on the dark powers, instead following neutral path. People around him are still wary, as he is still hated for his 74 year rampage. Recently, he has the urge to start a family. His only regret is how stereotypical this is.

Equipment- Enchanted Zweihander (Wounds take longer to heal and bleed worse.), Shield, Helm.

I would like players who can rp, too rp. Don't go off hunting the 'Core' yet, but you can get some gold and stuff, this will be starting on Saturday 17th with the first event.

Mink, Long story short, you kill the beast barely, kill your parents, find a mate, when said mate finds out about your past deeds( Many many years later) she leaves and you live out the rest of your days.
