For future reference, here is what I have a problem with in your reply:
1: I tried to warn you off, but you insisted on using my character and men as cover from enemy fire. To do this, you would have to run right through where my rally point. An Aspiring Skull Champion would not like being used in such a way buy such a lowly life form.
this completely fails, i wasnt using you as cover, you were no where near me to start with, your the nutter who teleported from miles away to fight me for saying that the guardsmen get distracted by the sight of these things
2: You would be hard pressed to know let alone see the conflict from where you were currently engaged. Logically the soonest you would have heard of the incident was when your survivors stumbled into the tower. You would be very hard pressed to react in time to even catch me before I moved on.
this is odd, i could have sworn i said that the heritcs were going back to the fortres.... i mean the dist isnt to far to start with anyway
3: Your bikes were currently engaged with Imperial Forces... to suddenly break away while in an active firefight is extremely risky, and you would more then likely had to fight a fighting withdraw and lost some men. You didn't. +1 God Mod
Disengage from guards men? you think we stop on supernaturally fast bikes to fight these idiots? no we zoom past ducking in and out of combat, in this way it is rather simple to turn around and change course, -1 Godmod
4: You are on bikes... racing across and open field which I set ablaze as soon as I landed and now is nothing more then black ash and char. I have dozens of men working the area with over watch. Bikes are large, and loud. Slan bikes are even louder cause noise = pleasure for them (hence noise marines).
this is the only thing here i cant fault, apart from the fact that i never said i snuck up on you, i just said it was over to fast for you to react
-1 godmod
5: So you supposedly drive circles around me. That's fine, cool. However to sit there and say that I can't hit ANY of your men and just stood around like cattle waiting for the slaughter while not even trying to fight, go for cover, ect ect is to be blunt, utter BS.
Plus you take no WIA/KIA.... +1 God Mod
insanely fast bikes + musk of the keeper of secrets (which isnt a psyker power btw its simply the oils of the keeper of secreats which befuddle the foe as in the daemons codex) = you cant see straight to aim
6: You then start shooting with your Tower Arty... ok that's fine... but your men are in the kill zone (Aka Danger Close) and I doubt would walk away unharmed. And again supposedly my men just stand around doing nothing waiting for the slaughter?
What they would have done is get in so close with your men that you couldn't use your arty without killing your own people.
Artillery? when did i say anything about artillery? why would they be shooting at the guardsmen locked in cc with the other chaos boys for the same reasons anyway? no this is things like chaos hydra flak cannons and the like
7: You then do... some kind of psychic spell or whatever against my character... sorry, not going to happen. My CoK will prevent just that from happening. One of the reasons why I have it.
Collar of khorne does nothing to stop scent buddy, its not a psker power, and yes i have the rules infront of me to say no it doesnt help
8: So you surround me with a ton of bodies, and manage to subdue me.... a close combat pre-heresy monster blessed by the god of slaughter himself without taking a single loss.... how?
Not saying I can't be killed or captured... but doing so via h2h is the frigging worst way to possibly go about this.
meh i wasnt in h2h with you, i was ringing you with twin linked plasma rifles on bikes, and standing and talking to you, we never faught.
And yes, I did just steal one of your relic bikes.. it's what any follower of any other god would do to earn favor points. Next time I suggest not sending out minions for
such an important task.
minions? heretics can be anything from possesed guardsmen to fully fledged terminator squads. These were just loads of ordaiary marines, wee bit more than minions, similar to the ones converted by moi in one of my previous posts
id just like to point something out, this would never have happened if you had read the post properly and seen that the guardsmen are simply istracted by the droppods in the sky.....
Alright, it appears that my hand has been forced and you guys are making me do work. I hate doing work.
First things first though, JP400; no termies. Everything else is fine though, fantastic even.
Ezrael and his regiment surged towards the bastion, artillery wounding the concrete walls and allowing chaos to bleed out. Even as the walls crumbled the archenemy ran through the new openings, risking being crushed by the falling chunks of plas-steel. Blossoms of bright orange bloomed like flowers against the dull gray of the plas-steel creating a scene fit for the finest of imperial guard recruitment posters that littered the nearby city of Trengal. No boubt those same posters were being crushed by the feet of the citizens as they ran to the walls to watch the clash of good and evil, saviors vs opressors, each citizen seeing the war differently.
In the city a psyker, undetected by the Inquisition and its black ships had been spreading 'the true word' of the lord of excess. The highest society of the city had been fully persuaded that decadence was the only way to fulfill their lives. Giving their 'hard-earned' surplus to the Imperium deprived them of the joys that keeping their earnings brought to them. This message passed from them to their subordinates who also came to like the idea. This psyker was unknowingly a pawn in something far greater than just causing the rich to drink themselves into a stupor.
The imperial commanders had known about this problem for awhile, but had postponed dealing with it until after the Tall Towers was retaken. Now a full-fledged was roaring and they knew that the psyker would receive more important messages to urge his followers to join the archenemy in its fight against the glorious Empire of Man. It needed to be dealt with, but it needed to be dealt with quietly to prevent riots within the walls of the city. ........................................
Gregor watched the holo-map on his table, red and blue figures rippled as they crashed into each other. The Tall Towers' top reached Gregor's chin as he spoke to a microbead inside of his rebreather. He was calmly calling out orders and labeling troop positions as adjutants carried around reports and recorded the battle for history, or for the case of a court marshal.
"Pull the Hydras up and order them to focus on their bikes, if they can take down fighters they can take out a bike. Tell the basilisks to hammer the ramps to prevent them from reinforcing their defensive lines around the bastion." Gregor saw a small squad of Stormtroopers moving to the battlezone. "Who gave those troopers the authority to move out? They're needed to deal with Operation Gomorrah, get them the feth back here now!"
"Have our Vanquishers target rhinos and transports first to maximize troop casualties, other armor should focus on troop support to allow our forces into the bastion." Gregor continued scanning the hologram and didn't notice the Nucians entering the war room. "Who the hell initiated the attack anyways?"
"I did." Madiv began watching the hologram, "Everything appears to be going well for us."
"It is, we were able to knock out their auspex. They can't accurately tally our numbers and they didn't know the troops you authorized to attack were approaching them. As far as we know they're effectively blind and deaf."
"What do you mean by 'as far as we know'?" Jost asked as he labeled Nucian positions carefully.
"Take a look at the bastion." Gregor said while handing a pair of binoculars to Jost, Jost took the binoculars and looked over the Tall Towers. "Notice anything different?"
"Besides the holes in the walls now?" Jost said half-heartedly.
"Look above the command tower." Gregor had yet to move his gaze from the hologram, "Squad 34 is pinned, LR 4323 engage Heavy weapons team behind the drop pod."
"I don't see anything above the tower." Jost said confused.
"Exactly," Gregor finally looked up to see the real version of the bastion, "the attack was staged to look like a hasty attempt at destroying the command tower, we only scratched the walls but one of our pilots managed to take out their antenna array."
"Now what's this I hear about calling back our stormtrooper squads?" Madiv said as he saw the squad's label move back towards the HQ.
"We need them to deal with the 'Prophet'." Gregor said and snaaped his fingers to get an adjutant's attention, "Get them a briefing and fill them in on recent developments."
Kelthad watched the ground below him brighten with each successive blast and darken as the ground fell back on top of the craters. He saw a biker explode as anti-aircraft weapons tracked him, he also saw the stray rounds mow down troops that had been behind him. It was an amusing sight to say the least, but he wasn't here for amusement.
Kelthad's own purple avatars played the battle out for him and he realized that plan 1 had failed. He would need to work on plans 3 and 4 in order to complete his mission, the battle would complicate the plans but he had faith that the simpletons under his command would be able to pull it off.
"Who's the fellow prancing around on his bike?" Kelthad motioned to a lesser.
"That would be Marta, my Liege." the lesser responded.
"And that large simpleton who spends all of his time mutilating prisoners?" Kelthad continued to mock the behemoths under his command.
"That would be Re'vex, my Liege." the lesser slightly enjoyed the mocking as long as it wasn't directed towards him.
"Those two lummoxes need to earn their pay." Kelthad waved his hand through the avatars and a spectre of the farming community to the east slowly formed. "See this?"
"Yes my Liege, its the farming village that supplies the Fluvians with their food." the lesser replied obediently.
"Indeed it is," the inflection on Kelthad's voice betrayed a hint of emotion, "we need the farmers."
"You wish me to relay the order to Re'vex and Martamy Liege?" the lesser knew he would have to relay the message from the start, it was his role after all.
"Yes I would like you to tell them to visit the farmers and bring every single one of them back here alive." Kelthad turned to the lesser, "If they question you about taking living prisoners by saying it is denying the Gods their due tell them that I am supplying th Gods a far greater tribute compared to their pathetic songs."
"Yes my Liege." the lesser began to turn to leave the command tower before being stopped.
"And get one of your peers to go along with them to ensure my orders are carried through." Kelthad reached into his purple robes and pulled out a magnificently designed vial filled with a dark red liquid, "Give him this and tell him that it will give him the power to teleport the Skullscreamers and the prisoners back to the courtyard. Now go and don't tarry."
"Yes my Liege." the lesser was already in the lift as he spoke those words.
Kelthad turned back to the windows and could feel the reverberating booms of the explosives the detested imperials were using. He then noticed a lack of return artillery fire.
"Why aren't our cannons firing back?" Kelthad inquired telepathically to another lesser he could see on the walls.
"The auspex is down my Liege," the lesser turned to face the tower in acknowledgement of his master's calling, "we cannot triangulate targets, the crews are unable to detect targets within range as well."
Kelthad's anger rose, he had been fooled by lesser beings. "No matter," he thought as he tried to calm himself down, "they'll pay for their feeble attempts in the end."
The contrails from the drop pods reminded Kelthad of a beast's claws reaching for the planet. A thought that would've warmed his heart if he had one in his body cavity still. He had hoped that he wouldn't need them, but his hand had been forced to unleash the even simpler simpletons upon the guardsmen assaulting his fortress. ..................
Alrighty then we have two different objectives in addition to the battle going on right now.
For the Imperial Players: The city houses a prophet of Slaanesh who needs to be killed. All players with a specialist are obligated to the event, other players can volunteer(except for our friend in the tank who is busy blowing up metal boxes).
PM me if you wish to be a part of the event and I will start the first part of the event for you.
For the Chaos Players: The farming community to the east houses a little over a thousand good imperial citizens, the objective is to bring all of them back to the bastion to further Kelthads' ambitions. Re'vex and Marta are obligated to the mission, other Chaos Players don't have to but they can as well.
PM me if you wish to participate and I will go ahead and write the first part for you.
As far as the god-mod issues I hope the above helped override some of the issues before. Also I don't know if you folks noticed in the original opening fluff the sorceror used a miracle of Khorne, he later summoned a Greater Demon of Tzeentch, and hired a Slaanesh devoted legion. I would say that its safe to say that he's actually Chaos Undivided and all of that good stuff. Kelthad is in charge so you do what he says regardless of your allegience(misspelled probably, but its 1am now and I just learned that I wasted around $1,000 on a class I don't get credit for). I wll have to rely on the codex fluff for chaos supplied by you guys seeing as though I only have access to the newest and previous IG codexes, an Eldar codex, Craftworld Eldar codex, and the newest Ork codex. I'll look the chaos codex up later to see if certain things follow.
To cut it short, Marta and the new khorne guy are friends because Kelthad paid them to be friends, its for the greater good after all. Don't make me make them sit out in the middle of the battlefield and hug so everyone can point and laugh at them.
Seeing as though this argument was not brought to my attention in a PM I will use it as an example of what not to do and let both sides get away scott-free.
For now both sides can RP a response to what I wrote or ignore what I wrote. I'm tired.

You did. And in another post (which I think you might have edited out cause I can't seem to find it) you said that it was "miles away". On foot, that's still going to take some time to cover.
Tyranic Marta wrote:Disengage from guards men? you think we stop on supernaturally fast bikes to fight these idiots? no we zoom past ducking in and out of combat, in this way it is rather simple to turn around and change course
Combat is combat.. you are either stuck in it or not. Not really any middle ground here. And as stated before, don't matter how fast you go.. bullets will always travel faster.

Sounds like you did.

Granted, don't have that codex handy... (nobody here plays it) however I do have a hard time believing that a self contained suit with it's own environment controls/filters would be effected by mere smell.

Tyranic Marta wrote:minions? heretics can be anything from possesed guardsmen to fully fledged terminator squads. These were just loads of ordaiary marines, wee bit more than minions, similar to the ones converted by moi in one of my previous posts
See, the problem I have is that you are very distinct when saying Marine vs Heretic. You refer to your 23 chosen as Marines, but these guys just "massive amount of heretics". That logically would lead one to believe that you are referring to cannon fodder since scores of marines no longer physically exist.
Also see above, you even correct yourself in calling them heretics instead of marines.
(This is a regular chaos Heretic.. also known by FW as Militia)
Now granted, I could be misreading some of this... cause to be honest it is hard to understand what exactly you are trying to say. Also, to help you out here is a link to a free online spell check program. Just cut, copy, and paste.
This will be my last post on this matter.. anything further will be done via PM to the GM. In the future, I highly suggest taking a little more time thinking about what you are saying, thus making your point much clearer... and try to contradict yourself less.
**EDIT TWO**
I am going to continue my RP from where I left off, and ignore the... wall of text that was posted in reply to it.
So... there are the Khorne Marines of JP between the tower and the Eastern IG lines, where the IG are assaulting. There are also a bunch of heretics (still have no idea where they came from) fighting around where the Khorne marines are.
The bikers are also in that area and are now trying to fight the IG.
There is also an attack planned on the farming village in the east by Fitzz's marines?
Colonel Karsten looked at the walls closing. Helpless guardsmen stranded beneath it. "Emperors teeth" he cursed.
His sigar fel in the mud. "Keep firing." he said to his adjuntant. He looked at the wall were new shells landed,
throwing great dustclouds in the air. He felt sorry for his men, until he realised the first wave were made of Nucians.
"Not a big loss" he thought with an evil smile.
Ezrel followed his man, the charge seemed to go on for ever. The charge had lost many soldiers,
but still it moved up. Ezrel was pulled to the ground when a shell blew a big chunk out of the wall.
He quickly jumped up. "Forwards!" he yelled as he quickly closed the distance. He bravely jumped
in the breach, dust still hanging in the air. He was finally here. The urge to get to the fortress
grew stronger. He gave in to the feeling as he lead his men deeper in the fortress.
Rev'ex completed the song of dedications and stared at his handiwork, before him the Guardsmen appeared perfectly normal,no outer signs betraying what each contained inside.
Rev'ex smiled at the Guardsmen " You shall return to your headquarters...there you shall unleash the Glory of Slaanesh."
" For the pleasures of the Dark Prince" The collected Guardsmen whispered.
" My assistant shall lead you through subterranean tunnels to an area where you may rejoin your comrades with ease" Rev'ex hissed " You will know when the proper time comes to bestow your gifts on your commanders."
" Yes Lord" The Guardsmen whispered.
" Now go." Rev'ex hissed.
A Hulking Marine lead the group of Guardsmen away.
A Moment Later B'Kar entered the chambers " My Commander...I must inform you that Exalted Kelthad has ordered our detachment to the Farming areas in the East...we are commanded to take the populace alive and return them to the Towers."
Rev'ex smiled " Very well B'Kar...Ready our forces...we move out shortly."
The group of Guardsmen (Six in total) are on route to the Imperial stronghold,Rev'ex has possessed each of them with a lesser Daemon of Slaanesh.
Their mission is to further spread the taint of Chaos inside the Imperial command structure.
The heretics are former PDF who converted to the side of chaos during the initial siege, their number also includes captured guardsmen who were brainwashed and civilians who were kidnapped or joined before the Fluvians and company landed.
There are now Khornate marines on the battlefield which would make things messy.
We are ignoring the post involving the biker marines fighting the khorne marines and the bastion's artillery is down thanks to the kamikaze pilot that knocked the antenna off of the command tower.
The IG players are going to be used to kill a prophet of Slaanesh who is currently in the city to the lower left of the map on page 5 while the Chaos players will be moving to the village at the upper right of the map.
If you want your character to be a part of the event you NEED to PM me, Marta, Fitzz, and Ninja are all obligated players so they don't need to PM.
So Nikev, Karon, etc you guys need to make a choice please. I will give you guys to friday on this choice.
In the mean time just remember that I determine who loses combat.
For example if the fight between JP and Marta's characters took place I would decide who 'won' the encounter.
Rev'ex entered the staging area..dozens of Marines had gathered and readied there transports and weapons and awaited his command to sally forth.
Amongst them stood three squads of Noise Marines,Rev'ex smiled...they would be essential to his plan in taking the Farmers for they would weave a canopy of hypnotic melody enticing the Imperials to succumb to the joys of Slaanesh.
Rev'ex briefed his troops concerning the tactics they were to use in engaging the Farm community..Guardsmen could be slain...the Farmers and families were to be taken alive.
" Rev'ex climbed aboard his personal transport an issued the order to move out " For the Glory of the Lord Of Pleasure!!...We Advance!!"
The column of vehicles sped from the Towers...headed East towards the Farms.
As Rev'ex sat at the command station of his transport he glanced over various tactical readouts and data...
He paused for a moment..studying the latest communications from the Eastern Lines...a dark smile spreading across his face...
" Berserkers" Rev'ex hissed lightly.
" B'Kar!" Rev'ex barked " Have a Transport and an emissary dispatched to the Eastern lines...the emissary is to invite the Commander of the Berserkers to accompany us to the Farmlands...he is to be advised he may bring a single squad of his forces along..and that his objectives shall be made clear upon his arrival."
" And should the Berzerker commander refuse my lord." B'Kar inquired.
Maximilian watched through his skull helmet with a sly smile of satisfaction across his face as the recruits piled the skulls of the slain into the form of a pyramid as an offering for the almighty Khorne to see. A fair few of the enemy fodder along with several of his own men made for a decently sized initial offering.
Overhead, scavenger birds indigenous to the planet were already circling high above their heads. Their caws drifting across the blood soaked grounds.
Around the grim pile, the stripped bodies of the slain were laid out forming a large icon of Khorne. Maximilian felt a sense of pride at the recruits handiwork as the last of naked bodies was laid in its place and the Marines stepped back well clear of the grim offerings.
Breathing a sigh of content, Maximilian fell to his knees and raised both his hands high over head toward the heavens. His aged voice cried out to the mighty Lord of Slaughter.
"Almighty Khorne! We your most humble of servants offer this mighty sacrifice to you!" he cried as the other marines around him fell to one knee, heads lowered.
"We pray that these skulls are worthy enough to be laid at the base of your mighty brass throne and that we may continue the act of slaughter in your glorious name." He paused for a moment before continuing. "In your name we pray!"
"BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOOD!" Came the rallying cry from the collective marines.
Suddenly a tremor was felt through the ground and smoke started to rise from the naked bodies of the slain. Maximilian grinned wide as the bodies combusted into a searing orange hot wall of flame. The other marines turned their heads away from the intense heat that was being generated, but Maximilian stood and embraced the searing heat and the pain that came with it.
No offering came without sacrifice.
As suddenly as it came, the flames died out revealing a grim change in the landscape. The naked bodies had disappeared, and in their place forming a perfect Icon of Khorne, was a pit of molten rock sending out an orange glow and waves of heat. The ground around the offering had been melted and turned to black glass, while the pile of skulls burned with an unnatural blue flame.
The Lord Of Slaughter had accepted his offering.
Maximilian turned suddenly as his sensors picked up vehicle movement heading his direction.
"Ahhh... finally, a proper greeting is at hand." he mused to none in particular and awaited their arrival.
bah i really need to sort out the way i post cause i missspoke so badly in that one, meh anyway, if everyone is going to take me literally thn thrs not much point me carrying on, you guys find some way to wipe out my char, laters
or alternately i could make a new char but now that so much crap has happened to the first one im not sure i want to lose him, halonachos if you feel like you can npc him please do
OOC: I had hoped for some more downtime RP, but hey-ho
IC: Ellanor had to yell over the whine of the engine and the distant sound of the artillery, "What do you mean fall back!"
"That's the message from command Captain, you're to fall back, they need you behind the lines"
"fracking hell, turn us around, we're heading back" She called over her vox
"aye Ma'am, poping smoke now" came the reply
Marc, who was driving the lead vehicle hit the stud and two of the smoke grenades flew out their housing, exploding in front of the vehicles to provide cover while they skidded round in a half circle, kicking up scores of dirt in the process. they headed back towards the imperial lines, bouncing over craters and weaving through colums of tanks and waves of troops all advancing on the citadel. there was a crackel as the multilaser sent a flurry of shots into a group of renegade Millita one shot hit the fuel tank on a portable flamer unit, Immolating the rest of the huddle.
A gout of flame washed over the vehicle as an artillery shell hit a sentinel nearby, a large chunk of the cabin hit the rollcage of the Tauros causing it to swerve violently.
"Get us the Frack out of here marc, NOW"
"almost there, should be hitting maximum range any time now"
"good" She pressed the vox, connecting them to their supply crew "on your feet people, coming in for a quick rearm"
everybody has: some sort of sidearm, frak/krak grenades, combat knife, climbing rope(very thin & strong w/i grapple), cameoline cloak, compact vox, ration capsules, binoculars, det cord, extra ammo, all your standard spec. forces stuff
The emissary of Slaanesh exited the transport and eyed Maximilian..who he quickly ascertained was the commander of the marines before him.
Advancing on the towering warrior of Khorne, the emissary spoke " I deliver a proposal from my Lord Commander Rev'ex that you and a squad of your men accompany me."
Maximilian stared coldly at the emissary " For what purpose ?"
" All shall be made known to you in time slayer" The emissary spoke,it's voice hypnotic " I assure you...you shall find the blood you desire."
Maximilian Glared at the follower of Slaanesh " And should I have better things to occupy my time with?"
The emissary laughed lightly " You don't Slayer...of that I assure you..will you accompany me?"
yep, just remeber, even though it only has a few space marines doesn't mean that it doesn't contain 50 kazillion p ed of cultists with shotguns
But it will have a lot of heretics.....maybe not 50 kazillion thank the emperor but there will be a lot.
Plus...you have to remember, Chaos manifested tower + Months to Chaos it up = Daemons
Was there ever an exact determination as to the number of Slaanesh Marines in the tower?
Also...good point about daemons and cultist, with the amount of songs Rev'ex has offered to Slaanesh the likelihood of daemonic manifestation is almost a certainty.
Nikev stood on the line with the Nucian Guardsmen. Looking left and right he could see The Nucian Burning Knights, his attached regiment, had all prepared for this to their best ability. Not being a complete green regiment they still had not fought the forces of chaos to this magnitude. Nikev unshealthed his House's Falx sword and raised it to the sky as the whistle blew.
"FOR THE EMPEROR AND OUR LADY!" He screamed at the top of his lungs as he began moving with the mass of bodies that began screaming with thirst for the coming fight or fear of death.
-----------------------
OOC: after running up hill awhile
BIC:
The First wave had begun to approach the outer range of the tower's defenses. Nikev began to wonder when it would spit its death upon the Nucian's when they the towers began. Light and Death erupted from the tower as the weapons began to come to life, firing upon the Nucian's. "DEATH OR GLORY!" Nikev shouted bolstering the morale of those that he lead and those that could hear him over the comms.
Screams both lasting and short began erupting from the line as the Nucian's charged into the very mouth of hell.
-------------------------
As the nucian's pressed ever onward into the enemy fire, the guns ceased fire upon them and turned to a target behind them, the second wave no doubt. From the towers gates The Nucian's could begin to see figures moving toward them. The Nucian's ran ever faster, eager to greet their enemy and show them revenge for their fallen comrades.
--------------------------
As the bodies crashed into each other it became a frenzy. Nucian killing heretic, Heretic killing Nucian, blood was filling the battlefield as a third and forth army crashed into the fray adding more bodies to maim.
OOC:
This was all just short parts of what happened during my charge, logically it makes no sense as why NIkev and some Nucian's are inside the tower now that I typed this out but its what was said so its what goes......
because I didn't type about it, Nikev and the Nucian's are just now breaking through the gates which I'll add a better RP for later.

And of course the potential hordes of summoned daemons.

Lets just hope they weren't bothered to summon that many
As I previously stated...Rev'ex has been been offering songs and sacrifices to Slaanesh from the moment Chaos gained control of the Tower, his chambers positively thrum with chaos infused power and would most likely serve as a portal from which daemons could freely enter real space.

My estimates are just based off of numbers of a CSM chapter...but ultimantly it's really up to Nachos to decide .
My advice to Nikev would be to cut off the CSM rather than engaging them in full on combat....but...that could alwayd just be me putting the "whisper of Chaos" in your ear..

Under normal circumstances, Maximilian would have been more then happy to offer this fools head to Khorne. However, he was obliged by his oath that he swore to follow through with his mission at hand and play..... nice.
He shivered at the mere thought of the word.
"I accept your offer." he growled as he turned slightly to face the gathering of marines. "I want A chosen number of you insufferable dogs loaded onto that land raider. The rest of you wurms, (spelled wrong deliberately) I want proper defensive positions dug, an HQ set up, and the local area secure before nightfalll."
The marines scrambled pushing and shoving one another trying to be one of the lucky few to gain a seat in the dark interior of the metal beast and it didn't take long before it was filled with the "chosen" ones. The rest setting about their... less then glorious tasks.
"After you, follower of Slan." he jeered and gestured for him to board the land raider. The two climbed up into the belly of the beast with the metal door closing behind them with a metallic clang.
The emissary of Slaanesh seated himself at a communications panel " Advance to meet with Commander Rev'ex" he ordered and the monstrous vehicle lumbered forth.
The emissary then keyed another switch on the panel " Commander Rev'ex...I call to inform you that the Slayers commander accepts your offer."
Rev'ex image appeared on a view screen before the assembled Marines...he addressed their commander.
" I am pleased to have you join us Commander." Rev'ex hissed " As my thrall has doubtlessly informed you...there shall be ample opportunity for you to exalt your blood gods name...which should indeed be ...stimulating for both of us."
Rev'ex glared through the monitor " However...the offerings to your God shall come only from the combatants of the Corpse God...the Farmers and civilians are mine...they are to be returned alive to the Towers....I pray you understand this Mighty Slayer..." Rev'ex hissed.
" I understand you...completely" Maximilian answered.
" Excellent" Rev'ex replied " Then prepare your axes ...your Blood God should indeed be pleased with your coming offering." Rev'ex sighed " It should be..stimulating."...the screen went blank as the Land Raider charged towards the Farmlands
Maximilian didn't much like the idea of letting people live, but he was content.. at least for the moment... with the prospect of spilling even more Imperial blood.
His dual bladed chain fist revved in anticipation of the coming slaughter as he sat in the darkness and prepared for glory.
(OOC: Will leave my RP here until we reach the camp. Since you are driving I leave my character in your hands until such time.)
No worries bro I don't intend to RP the assault on the Farms tonight as I'm working out some details.
I do have one RP left that I may do tonight concerning the " Human bomb" Guardsmen that Rev'ex sent to the Imperial base camp...but that may not happen until tomorrow either.
...Also...Have I ever mentioned that the middle woman in your sig looks just like my first ex-wife?
Commissar Anderson jumped inside the lead chimera. He had taken command of the seventh mechanised regiment. Colonel karsten had ordered him to take down the newly arrived chaos reinforcments? It was a task he had accepted eagerly. Which troops could take on a full mechanised regiment. He would crush those little marines. And earn more renown, He would show his mother that he could make them proud. "Give the signal." He said to the communication expert.
The chimeras engines roared to life. An entire column was moving to the small farmers village. Anderson could swear he heard the traitors impending doom under the sound of the seventh. "Commissar, Enemy troops are trying an outbreak." "During an offensive?" Anderson asked. This made no sense. The expert raised his shoulders "It appears to be so." Anderson grumbled, this battle wouldn't be a walk in the park.

Ezreal looked behind the corner. A few dozen guardsmen standing behind him. The closing walls of the fortress had succesfully cut the waves into bite sized chunks. Ezreal hoped enough made it inside. He glanced over the corner once again. An Ancient doorway was at the end of the hallway. But the path was blocked by several scruffy heretics. He counted seven of them. It wouldn't be a problem to take them down. The problem was that he didn't had much troops besides him. He couldn't risk losing much of them.
His data-pad lighted up. Commisar Nikev had made it to the courtyard. But he had met heavy resistance. He was asking for more troops. The door lead to the courtyard. Ezreal knew this because of the countless hours he had spent studying the blueprints. He signed the sergeant to come closer. And explained what they would do. The sarge nodded and pulled a las-battery out of his ammo belt. Ezreal counted to three and the sarge threw his battery down the hall. The heretics jumped up enerved by the sudden sound.
Ezreal and the sarge took advantage of the confusion and quickly dived behind some crates and ammoboxes scattered through the hall. One of the heretics picked the battery of the floor. "They are here!" he shouted. "Lets take 'em down." The heretics started walking to the end of the hall. Lasguns leveled at the sideways, looking for suddent movement. Ezreal felled his heart pounding as the first heretic walked next to him. He was happy that it didn't even crossed the heretics mind to look down.
He waited until the last heretic had passed him. Together with the sergeant he jumped out of his hide out. The first four fell down before even realising what happened. The rest was easily taken down by the rest of the guardsmen storming in. One of the soldiers had recieved a fleshwound in his arm. But was still able to carry on. His men made him proud. He ordered two men to open the ancient door, excentric engravings riddled across it. The door opened and Ezreal saw commissar nikev with a couple hundred guardsmen defending his position against a heretic counterattack. He gripped Elegance tighter, she craved for blood.

Rev'ex and his forces neared the farming community rapidly, the Doom sirens of their Rhinos issuing hypnotic discordant melody's as the advanced.
The Imperial forces garrison to defend the Farmlands opened fire ...their accuracy woefully ineffective as they struggled under the sonic assault.
As the Rhinos slewed to a halt,Rev'ex barked orders to his communications officer.
" Have Predator Vengeance cover our rear..the others cover our troops as the advance." Rev'ex hissed " Disembark...have the Noise Marines call to the Farmers...bring them to us."
The hatches of the Rhinos hissed open as Rev'ex and his troops took to the field " B'Kar..Bring me that damnable Sorcerer." Rev'ex bellowed.
The Giant Land Raider approached rapidly,Rev'ex spoke quickly to Maximilian..." That is the strongest concentration of Imperial forces" He said, indicating a bunker and several heavy weapons emplacements flanked by an Imperial battle tank " Begin your spree for blood there...my Predators will support your advance."
With that the Land Raider and two Predators sped for the Imperial fortifications.
Rev'ex turned and glanced at the Farm villages borders...under the sway of the Noise Marines Hypnotic melodies...the Imperial citizens were shambling into the field towards them.
The ancient hyrdolic lift began to careen upwards from the basement, and the Sorcerer shifted his grip on the ancient gnarled staff he held in his talons, and rolled his neck.
It would take some getting used to, but Grak'sirra was about to make his grand entrance the only way he knew how.
Maximilian stood with his armor clad foot resting on the front access ramp ready to surf it down upon reaching their destination. The inside of the Land Raider sounded like an angry hornets nest as chain ax's idled and revved in the darkness eager for the coming slaughter.
Outside, the roar of the cannons could be heard as they laid fire down upon enemy positions, attempting to "soften" then up for them. Suddenly, the land raider rocked violently as sparks showered down upon their heads. Maximilian could only stare in amazement as a portion of the wall was glowing a dull reddish orange where the energy bolt from the las cannon had hit.
Several dull thuds were heard as smoke canisters were deployed ahead of the Land Raider. Maximilian switched the safetys off his weapons feeling his blood boil with rage and prepared for glory.
CPL. Jackson watched the canisters fall short of his position and start to discharge a thick, red smoke which quickly filled the air and blocked their LOS with the enemy.
"Should we don our masks?" asked a private off to his left.
"Negative. Stay on your weapon and keep it at the ready... I don't like the looks of this." he said and the private nodded and went back to scanning the area with his heavy bolter looking for targets.
Sudden movement caught his eye and he shifted toward it. Striding out of the thick red smoke was a giant of a man clad in ancient armor and armed to the teeth with an assortment of ways for him to die. He was flanked by several figures also heavily armed and pissed off to boot.
The CPL looked around and was dumbstruck to find his men staring open mouthed at the warriors before them.
"By the Emperor!" he cried "Why the feth isn't anyone shooting?!?!!? Fire!! Dammit FIRE!!!!"
The heavy bolter was the first to break the silence. With an ear splitting crack the heavy slugs of the weapon flew down range blowing fist sized holes through one of the marines sending gore and bone fragments spraying out in a wide arc onto his friends.
The Chaos Marines Roared and charged the lines, roaring their praise and delight for their god Khorne and hit the Guards lines like a freight train of slaughter.

Rev'ex grinned intently watching as The massive Maximilian led his forces into the lines of the followers of the Corpse God...delighting in the carnage that erupted.
The chatter of the Imperial Tanks Heavy Bolters distracted him momentarily as they cut down another of Maximillians warriors.
" B'Kar" Rev'ex hissed " Aid the berserkers..."
" By your command." B'Kar said and relayed fire orders to one of the Predators..The Slaanesh Tank turned and opened fire on the Leman Russ..Purple lances of energy ripping into it's hull...the Russ erupted into a gigantic fireball.
Rev'ex howled in delight as the forms of two Imperial tank crew emerged from the wreckage their bodies engulfed in flame.
Glancing towards the outskirts of the village,Rev'ex saw more and more of the farmers stumbling across the field, unable to resist the mesmerizing affects of the call of Slaanesh...several hundred had gathered in a loose circle..swaying transfixed by the Noise Marines.
" My Commander" B'Kar spoke " Our forces report 75 percent of the civilians have been gathered..estimate the remaining civilians to be ours shortly."
" Excellent" Rev'ex hissed " Inform Kelthads Sorcerer to prepare to transport the captives to the Tower."
" By your Command" B'Kar bowed
A falling shell exploded several dozen yards behind Rev'ex..
He turned seeing a column of Imperial vehicles approaching from their rear.
Rev'ex frowned...rapidly ordering two predators to engage the newly arrived Imperial forces.
" B'Kar..Have a squad armed with missile launchers support the Predators...and order our transports to launch smoke for cover and fire havocs for support." Rev'ex spat.
" At once my Commander" B'Kar replied.
Rev'ex glared at the approaching Imperials " Fools" He hissed " You dare interfere with the designs of the Lord of Pleasures"
Rev'ex began a song of summoning.
Anderson opened the turret hatch pulled his head slightly out. The traitors had seen them coming,
their predators started turning around. "dammit" he cursed, he had lost his hopes in a lightning suprise
attack. It seemed they would have to do it the fair way. He was just about to give the
order to shoot the predators down, when smoke shells exploded. Blocking the view of his
targets. He cursed once again and closed the hatch.
He hated himself for doing this. "What would Ezreal do?" He tried to picture himself
in Ezreals shoes. They were too small. But it gave him an idea. "Give the order to pull
out our smoke canisters. If we can't see them then they too shall not see anything."
The expert gave the command, soon the area around the village was one smoke cloud.
"Now drive me closer!" He said "I want to hit them with my sword!" The men
in the lead chimera grinned as they heared the eternal guard joke.

The Crew of Predator Vengeance strained to locate a target, the smoke blinding..obscuring the filed of fire.
" Fire on their previous posistion!!" The Tank Commander bellowed " Instruct Predator Eternal Need to do likewise.!!"
Together the two Chaos tanks unleashed a salvo of fire into the blinding smoke.
To their left, a squad of Marines advanced, the Sergent peered through the smoke..a glimpse of motion to the far left..he motioned his squad to fall into cover and directed their fire..four missile launchers coming to bear on an Imperial Chimera barely seen in the haze..." Fire." the Sergeant ordered,as a barrage of Havoc missiles sailed overhead.
As his squad unleashed their missiles on the Imperial vehicle, the Sergent paused...the ground ahead of his squad begin to pulse and undulate a pinkish glow rising from the earth.
Maximilian couldn't believe what he was seeing. Behind him two massive smoke screens had gone up blanketing the idea in a wide area and covering the approaching Imperial vehicles along with the two chaos tanks.
It was an opportunity that he would NOT pass up.
He ordered his forces to continue the assault without him and as he uttered a quick prayer of thanks to Khorne, he sprinted as fast as he could straight toward the smoke screen.
If all went well, they would never see his chain fist until it was too late.

Rev'ex swayed as his song reached a frantic pitch, his eyes glowing with radiant pink fire...his arms outstretched towards the smoke covered area in which he knew the followers of the Corpse God to be hidden...
His lips moving rapidly spewing incantations for the glory of Slaanesh Rev'ex gyrated as purple lightning danced from his clawed finger tips across the field.
In the distance the ground began to erupt in geysers of pink flame as the minions of the Lord of Pleasure surged forth.
Rev'ex collapsed to the ground ..B'Kar rushing to aid him to his feet.
" Have those damnable Farmers been hearded together?" Rev'ex gasped
" The Sorcerer informs they are prepared my Lord." B'Kar replied.
" Then have him return them to the Tower at once." Rev'ex hissed " Inform the Berserkers to finish the followers of the Corpse God who remain...and send two squads of Noise Marines to aid against the newly arrived Imperials...the Third will advance to aid the berserkers."
" By your command My Lord" B'Kar bowed.
In the distance Rev'ex watched as the Fiends of Slaanesh accompanied by a sea of Daemonettes advanced on the followers of the False Emperor.

Rev'ex glanced towards the assembled Farmers and their families.
The Sorcerer Kelthad had attached to Rev'exs forces holding them entranced as he recited litanies for teleportation.
The Sorcerer cast a vial to the ground as his voice rose..a great purple flame encircling the mesmerized farmers..cycloning around them and rising towards the sky.
In a blinding flash the entirety of the populace of the farming village was gone..swept through the Sorcerers portal towards the Tower.
Rev'ex spat " Now Kelthad has his prize" he hissed " B'Kar..inform our forces to finish the Imperials...then we head for home."
Rev'ex returned his attentions to the Daemonic horde as they cappered into the smoke...although obscured Rev'ex could hear the screaming of the followers of the Corpse God hidden inside.
"BY THE GOD EMPEROR!" Nikev shouted as he fired his bolt pistol into a charging heretic. "Let not thine enemy triumph but show him the end of thy sword!"
Nikev and a few hundred Nucian's had made it into the courtyard, smashing by the former towerguards only to be stopped by a large counter attack in the courtyard. They had come to a standstill, half of the courtyard The God-Emperors and the other, Chaos.
Nikev was dead in the middle of the courtyard with a small squad leading on, Captain Heinkay not far away shouting orders to troops. "More up fire on that flank!" he shouted, to troops that Nikev could not see due to the massive firefight.
As the Commissar turned, he could see help arriving, though it would be far from sufficient to overcome the challange in this room. Just as he saw the other commissar, seductive laughter erupted from his side and a man's screaming voice was all that he could hear. A succubus had lifted the guardsmen beside him and was proceeding to pull his insides out and bath in his blood as it showered her.
"Wretched Whore Filth!" Nikev shouted as he rammed his sword into her stomach and lifted upwards, cutting the succubus in half. "Ezreal!" he motioned for the commissar, "Over here!"

"Sir, the stormtroopers are en route to the middle of the city and we have a squad under the command of a certain Earl Wallace heading to the west. They think that they're moving to the western front." the Adjutant said to an inattentive Gregor.
"What's that?" Gregor said while turning from the table and walking into a side room where the vox's were set up.
"We have a squad of stormtroopers near the city walls and another squad of guardsmen reinforcing them." the adjutant repeated slowly.
"Excellent, have the orders been relayed to them?" Gregor stretched his arms as he stood there.
"They are receiving them as we speak." the adjutant said while feeding the briefing through a transmitter.
.................................
"What the feth!" Earl shouted as the chimera swerved suddenly, "Learn to drive feth head."
"New orders sir, we've been told to transport you to the nearby city as support for a special operation." the driver called back almost apolegetically.
"Great, I could use a break." Earl said as his data pad began to fill up with the briefing, "Damn, this is actual work."
..........................
Ellenar looked over the briefing, "Eliminate target quietly" was all she needed to see before she felt the closest thing she could get to happy.
"We have ourselves a proper mission boys." she said to her squad over the din of battle. "It seems like a certain someone in this city has been spreading heresy among the lazy fat-cats that run this place."
"So why are we going now, you may ask. Well it seems that these fat-cats have the ability to fund a small army and the recent fighting may be enough to encourage them further." Ellenar finished as the rest of the squad began to read the briefing for themselves.
The walls of the city were a dark brown that reflected the very earth that was used to build it. Commissar Brent was waiting near the gate, he would make sure the Prophet met an end that could be recorded for prosperity after this war was over. He saw several buggies approaching from the distance, his cursed eye at least made it easier to see in the distance.
The chimera was following at some distance but beared the silver cog emblem on the turret. He wouldn't be alone if something happened and it calmed even his hardened nerves. He replaced his eye patch as they began to get close to the walls.
The first buggy halted near the wall and Brent watched as the troopers began to almost leap from the vehicle.
"Sergeant Fett." one of them said while making the sign of the aquila to the commissar.
"You sound like a girl." Commissar Brent said as he noted some tension in the other troopers, "Should be an interesting evening after all."
"I hope there is no double meaning in those words sir." Ellener was able to keep her composure.
"Don't flatter yourself," Brent said as he watched the chimera pull up, "besides I'm married to the job."
The chimera screeched as it stopped and the rear hatch creaked as it opened, the workhorse was showing signs of age.
The guardsmen inside poured out almost haphazardly but amazingly able to keep quiet.
"Oh look, its Brent." one of them said as they formed a line.
"Showing off the fine Fluvian comabt training?" one of the stormtroopers said, Brent couldn't tell which one had said it but he had to agree with him. Some of the Fluvians showed signs of irritation.
"Let's get this show on the road," Brent said to preempt any fighting between the two groups, "you all know your jobs and you all know your target."
The group of them entered the city through an old chem-smuggler tunnel. The dark and musky tunnel enveloped them as they disappeared from view, leaving their transports behind. The chimera crew would be in charge of making sure that no one would touch their buggies. At least that's what their job was before their throats were slit.

" What then" the Med Officer continued to note on his touch pad.
" It's like I said Sir " the Guardsman drawled on " We were cut off...our forces gone..we..made our way back here."
The Med Officer stared at the man " Well...your wounds are minimal...though your all showing elevated temperatures..a bit of rest and you should all be ready to return to duty...I'll be contacting the CO with my reports...I'm sure he'll want to speak with each of you shortly...I imagine your up for it."
The Guardsmen nodded " Yes Sir." they said as a group.
" Very well." The Med Officer said " We should return shortly...rest now."..with that he turned and exited the room.
The Guardsmen all turned looking at one another...sly smiles crept across their faces.

" Beg Pardon Sir...but we've received some wounded in that I believe General Nussberg may wish to have interrogated" The Med Officer said.
" Why is that?" The Duty Officer inquired sipping at a cup of caffeine.
" Sir...it appears they were part of the detachment that was overrun on the Western front...thus far they are the only survivors to turn up from that engagement." The Med Officer said.
The Duty Officer paused "...And what is they're condition?"
" It's all in my report Sir" Said the Med Officer " But...by and large..they seem unharmed other than some superficial cuts and bruises...each is running high temperatures...but other than that they should all be fit to return to duty."
The Duty Officer frowned " They flee from their post you suppose?"
The Med Officer shook his head " I've no way of determining that Sir...but as I stated General Nussberg may want to question them on that matter."
" Indeed." The Duty Officer said " I'll inform him at once...carry on ."
" Thank you Sir" The Med Officer said turning to exit.

"Cody, take point, rest of you, two meter spacing we don't need any surprises" Ellanor called signaling ahead further into the tunnel.
Cody squeezed past to the front of the colum, switching on the helmets auto-senses to allow them to see better in the dark, gloomy tunnel. they advanced slowly, stopping every so often to listen for any out of place noise. It was slow progress but they eventually came upon what looked to be a heritic gaurd post, the rough sandbag wall streched across the tunnel with a heavy stubber pointing lazily at the ceiling.
Cody held up his hand in a fist and they all stoped, he clicked open a com channel
"looks like a renegade check-point up ahead, no lights, looks like they haven't spotted us yet, i'm going to go check it out."
A moment later he had all but disapered into the darkness as he swirled his Cameoline cloak around his shoulders. under the cloak he drew his knife as he crept down the wall of the tunnel towards the sandbags, as he approched the post looked empty, there was nobody up and moving about. The wall came up to his chest so he pulled himself up onto it and peered over the other side, he could see a couple on the other side, huddled under a blanket, what appered to be clothes were strewn about behind wall, which was actually a platform hanging over the edge of a 7ft drop. Cody pulled himself over and onto the platform, balancing carefully to makesure he didn't fall or wake the couple. He drew his combat blade, it's fine edge reflecting the IR light from his helmet, and slit each of the heretics throats from ear to ear. Blood ran over the blanket and dripped off the platform.
he clicked on the vox "All clear, move up" and began to dismantle the sandbags, unceremoniously tipping the wall over, it splashed as it hit the ankle deep water, forming a small dam that made the water level rise. Digging into his pockets he pulled out a roll of detcord sniping a fingerlenght off and stuffing it into the barrel of the stubber he lit the end and the barrel fused shut in a flash of light and smoke.
the water blocked by the sandbags was now flowing over the top, washing away the blood from the platfrom and into the main tunnel below, half the sqad was already down and he jumped down to join them. they sat in the mirky water for a few minutes and, happy that nobody had heard them, continued into the city
Maximilian had been running for what seemed like an entire night, and yet he was still a little distance from the thick cloud of smoke.
His CoK tingled informing him that someone close by was casting a spell of some sort. He grunted his dismay at such tom-foolery and continued on his way getting closer to his prey as each second passed.
I was a sad panda for five minutes, and then .... I still ate my share.
Ah the joys of being a student.

Anderson watched the monitors and tried to pierce through the smoke. It didn't help.
They had been riding in the smoke for a few minutes. But they had found nothing yet.
He didn't like this. He tought that he was to blame. But that couldn't be right.
It had to be traitors. Yells of agony and lots of cursing flooded the comm-system.
He had commanded for radio silence. Nobody listened.
Suddenly a faint shape emerged from the smoke. It didn't seem to be moving. "Closer!"
He commanded. Anderson recognised what it was. "Open the ramparts, were going to take that
tin box down!" The ten man veteran squad jumped out. Three of them holding a plasmagun in
front of them. Anderson felt reassured by their menacing presence. "Get the charge, you incompetent fool"
He yelled at the closest trooper. "Idiots." he muttered. When he would be inducted in the
imperial guard this would surely not happen.
He crunched his teeth together as the guardsmen holding the charge tripped on his way to the lonely rhino.
The man quickly continued under the stern look of the commissar. "All done" He said after a few frantic
moments of pushing the charge in the rhino. He was running back to the group when sudden
A scant clothed girl appeared. Her hands were missing, but where replaced with claws. She gracefully sliced the
soldier in two. She looked at Anderson, her disformed face cleary visible to him.
"Daemon!" he yelled as the demonette Closed the distance. She slaughterd her way through three more guardsmen.
Until she succumbed to the frantic firing of the guardsmen. "Back inside!" He commanded.
As he saw a red blur passing them. "Get us out of here!" The chimera lurged forward. Soon followed
by a violent explosion.

The screams of the dying floated across the field,Rev'ex stared towards the Imperial fortifications around the Farm community...the Worshipers of the Corpse God there were all but finished...the Berserkers and Noise Marines had made short work of those fools.
Rev'ex turned his attention to the dissipating clouds of smoke in which the second battle raged...the summoned danced gracefully into the followers of the False Emperor spreading the ecstasy of their carrases as they did...Predator Vengeance had been reduced to a burning hulk...but losses were to be expected...Rev'ex shrugged.
" My Commander" B'Kar spoke from Rev'ex side " We are ordered to return to the Towers...Immediately..."
Rev'ex sighed " Of course we are B'Kar...Kelthad has his prize..." Rev'ex shook his head " Inform our forces to enter the teleportation portal...have the transport pick up the berzerkers...we depart."
" By your command" B'Karr said issuing the orders he'd been given.
The Berserkers reluctantly left the slaughter ..boarding the mammoth Land Raider..." Lord Maximilian is not among us!!" One protested.
Rev'ex stared at the Slaanesh Emissary on board the Land Raider " The Slayer has advanced on the Imperial column...retrieve him."
" Yes my Lord" The emissary replied as the Land Raider lumbered towards the smoke.
Revex stared over the field..disappointment filling him...he so hated to leave a battle incomplete..." Come B'Kar...we go" he hissed climbing aboard his transport.
Maximilian sniffed the thick air as he finally entered the dense cloud of smoke and an all too familiar scent wafted in and pleased his senses.
Fear.
The air was filled with its sweet perfume.
No longer able to contain his blood lust, Maximilian roared an almost daemonic cry of fury as he charged blindly and uncaring through the smoke. He passed a guardsmen locked in h2h with a pink fiend of Slann and with one mighty blow his dual chainfist he chewed a bloody path through both of them without missing a beat.
He stopped suddenly as his auto senses picked up the hum of a vehicles engine off to his immediate left. He turned on his heel and took off running as he maxed out the rpm's on his chain fist. The commander must have heard the high pitched whine of his chain fist for several multilazor blasts roared out of the darkness searching for him. One round struck his faded shoulder pad and the massive impact made him stumble and fall to one knee.
Maximilian roared defiantly against the pain and forced himself to his feet and continue ever forward. Suddenly the familier shape of a chimera loomed out of the haze directly in front of him. The vehicle's commander who was hanging out of the turret hatch cursed loudly and frantically lowered himself and sealed the hatch behind him at the sight of the mighty warrior of Khorne.
"Wretched mortal! You cannot escape my wrath so easily!!" he yelled and swung the roaring chain fist as hard as he could into the track guides on the side of the chimera. A shower or orange hot sparks flew everywhere as the mighty weapon paused only for a moment before the hull gave way like a hot knife through butter. The drive train cracked and the track links were severed and slipped away rendering the chimera immobile.
An audible click was heard as the ramp locks disengaged as the rear ramp began to lower. Maximilian turned and sprinted to the rear. The ramp lowered and hit the ground with a metallic thud kicking up a small amount of dirt. The guardsmen inside were about to dismount when they looked out and saw a blood soaked Maximilian standing there and practically foaming at the mounth in a blood frenzy.
"Hello Boys" he sneered and charged head long chainfist first into the cramped meat filled interior of the chimera.
The mangled screams of the guardsmen drifted across the field of battle.

Corporal Vents was not having a good day. All through the morning, and most of the night, he had been sitting in a rough Nucian weave tent, on a stool, cycling through the various vox channels, relaying orders that had seemed trivial at the time. He had practically leapt at the chance to go to battle, especially after hearing the death toll from earlier raids. And now, and now he was standing in the courtyard of the great fortress, fighting a deadly close quarter combat with waves of crazed cultists, and it had occurred to him, that his ever so boring job before, now appealed to him very much. A man, who was naked to the chest, charged at him, a cruel looking hook held above his foaming head, whilst he screamed blasphemous litanies to whatever god he worshipped. Vents raised his lasgun and took the throat out of his assailant, marvelling in the way the man carried on charging forwards, his hand clasped over the mortal wound. Vents fired again, then twice more. Eventually the cultist slipped to his knees, and watched as his own blood bubbled out of his wounds in disbelief. All around him, more and more cultists were falling, bullets from assault weaponry cutting a swathe through the hordes of ill equipped heretics. However...
Something wasn't right. Vents began to smell a distinct ozone tang in the air, and his hairs on the back of his neck began to rise. A low hum could be heard on the breeze.
I shall make a memorial to remember their bravery.
@jp
ok, i understand if you read my rp, the last paragraph.
You were the red blur
Ahhh... that works then. I actually thought it was just another summoned critter. Hopefully we don't meet IC.

Nice one..
The Slaanesh forces are exiting stage left through the teleportation portal, however as you can see Rev'ex has sent the Land Raider, filled with your warriors, to retrieve Maximilian.
You now have the option to stay and fight or head for the warp portal...if you stay..the Slaanesh emissary will guide you to the Tower when your done playing with the Imperials insides.
To be honest, so long as there is battle, I don't think my character would leave... unless it was a hopeless engagement... then he would tactically withdraw and fight another day.
Definitely understand...well you have a Land Raider and a Predator at your disposal, along with a horde of Daemons...
Happy killing and I'll see you at the Towers eventually.
....Oh and to answer your question sillyboy, we have Rhinos...but only one was sent to join the " Battle in the smoke"...and it got recalled rather quickly when the orders to return to the Towers came through.
However the two Predators had been engaging the Imperial forces for some time...so...I figured I'd just let you take one of them out.

Ummm..No...there is an entire squad of pissed off Berserkers inside the Land Raider...
The warriors that are under Maximillians command are in the Land Raider coming to retrieve him.
BIC....... into the belly of the beast part 2......
Ezreal saw the the charge coming down on Nikev and his men. He could see Nikev motioning
to help. Without even looking behind to see if his soldiers were folowing, he recklessly charged in.
His men soon followed behind him, inspired by his presence. Ezreal aimed his boltgun at the first
heretic and shot him in the back. Valour only existed in duels, and even then...
They quickly took several heretics down, the suprise attack had paid off. Nikevs men charged forward.
Crushing the heretics beteen them. Ezreal dodged a poorly attempt of a heretic to smack him down.
With a preciously timed counterattack Elegance slid through the mans windpipe. The heretic drowned
in his own blood. He was just in time to put Elegance between him and a roaring chinsword. Hot
red sparks landed on his face. He punched his gun against the traitors mouth. He could hear teeth cracking
in twain. And with a swirly curl, Elegance took another victim.
Nikev jumped next to him blood splattered all over him. Ezreal didn't look much different.
They didn't look like toysoldiers anymore those Nucians. He respectfully nodded at Nikev.
They both watched as the few remaining heretics scattered back to the tall tower. Ezreal
once again felt the urge, the need to go there. The pull was too strong. His body was
revolting against his own will as he started to run towards the Tall tower.
"Forwards" Nikev shouted as he saw Ezreal charging in blind. That man had a deadwish he tought.
Ezreal hadn't even made it to the towers portal, when the doors opened and a Chaos marine calmly
walked out. Ezreal could have sworn that he saw wings for a brief moment.
The gore soaked Maximilian stepped from the back of the ruined chimera dragging his grim trophies behind him. The smoke was beginning to clear and he found that his vision had been returned. Off in the distance he could see dozens of imperial vehicles as they started to crest the phase line.
Around him, the summoned lesser being of Slann were beginning to falter under the constant barrage of fire from the advancing mechanized division. Like it or not, the area would soon be over run by their sheer numbers.
Maximilian turned and faced the land raider that had advanced to his position as it came to a grinding halt next to him. Its guns blazing covering fire as the front ramp opened up allowing him to quickly mount the vehicle. Once inside, one of his minions leaned close and shouted to his ear.
"New orders Skull Champion! The tower is under attack and we are being recalled to its defense."
Maximilian rolled his eyes at hearing this new. Damn the forces of the false corpse god for their initiative.
"Send word to the rest of our forces. Have them rally at phase line Zulu and prepare for our arrival." he said as blood dripped off of his armor and pooled at his feet on the metal floor.
"Yes Skull Champion!"
With that the Land Raider popped more red smoke to cover its withdraw and speed off into the distance.
A screaming bolt of energy ripped free from the Marines fingertips, slamming straight into a charging commissar, throwing him back across the courtyard like a sack doll. Gra'ksirra blinked. The bolt should have ruptured the man inside out, not thrown him about. The bound Daemon put it down to being within the mortal shell, and threw another bolt of change across the blood soaked floor, the energy colliding with a guardsmen with a Vox Caster on his back. The man let out a brief scream as he was engulfed in multihued flames, that wrapped around his body tightly, like rope. He desperately began to grab at the flaming bindings, trying to pull them away from his chest, to alleviate the constricting agony. But it was no use. With a scream welling up from deep inside, Vents burst apart, blood and effluent flying across the courtyard.
Laughing deeply, Gra'ksirra turned to the faltering guardsmen. Only one man, another Commissar as fate would have it, was continuing the charge up the steps to meet him.
Rolling his shoulders, Gra'ksirra prepared to unleash another bolt of uncontrollable change on his latest adversary.
Kelthad waved off the pathetic attack as he rode the lift down to what was the garage. His lesser stood to his left, he was his favorite amongst them so far maybe enough to let him live after this was all over. The 'monkeys' as Kelthad called them had actually pulled off capturing every single farmer without a single casualty. The lesser who had carried out the teleportation spell was now mauling guardsmen in the courtyard seeing as though he was now a gibbering spawn.
The mere thought of reducing his lessers into lowly creatures always tugged at his heartstrings no matter the situation. He couldn't wait for the chance to turn one of the monkeys into an actual monkey or a rat depending on his mood that day, until then he needed them to do the grunt work.
The elevator light flashed as he had reached his destination, from inside he could already smell the fear and the desperation of his new captives. The lift opened to reveal masses of people underneath the hydraulic lifts for the battle tanks that were stationed here before Kelthad decided to move in. They reached their hands out at the feet of the lesser sorcerors who stood guard around the pits they were kept in. They howled for release, cried for mercy, and prayed to their corpse god.
Kelthad slowly turned his head to examine the room and the hands of his new play things. After he was satisfied with what he saw he walked down the rows while reaching towards each pit with a hand, he suddenly stopped at one of the pits on the right and called the guards forth.
"This one here, raise the lift." Kelthad ordered the guards around the lift.
The lift squeeled as it rose and the people under it tried to climb out but the guards used the little power they had to force them back into the pit while Kelthad scanned the rippling crowd. He spotted a young boy with disheveled hair and ordered another guard to lift the boy out of the pit, a woman with the same eyes reached for him but was forced back in as the lift resumed its previous position. With that Kelthad nodded and the lifts began to lower simultaneously. The screaming intensified and began to echo as the space they occupied continued to shrink. The mother of the boy was still reaching for him when the lift made contact with her arm and sheared it from the forearm. Soon the screaming died as the lifts struggled to press the bodies underneath them.
Kelthad looked at the boy and saw that he was staring at the pit his mother was in, the boys' eyes shifted from the pit to the hand and back to the pit before returning back to the severed hand. Kelthad walked over and picked it up, the blood still warm and dripping. He walked back over to the boy and thrust it into the boy's chest, the boy grabbed it and held on to it after Kelthad released his grip.
"That's the last bit of your past life boy." Kelthad said as he watched the boy place the hand up to his cheek, "Do you know how this happened?"
The boy looked at Kelthad with tears forming in his eyes and shook his head.
"It all happened because the Emperor wanted it to happen." Kelthad placed his hand on the boy's shoulder, "You see, I really didn't want to do that and to tell the honest truth I did it because that's what the God-Emperor of mankind wanted me to do. We all must bow to the will of the Emperor, right?"
The boy nodded.
"What if I told you that you don't have to?" Kelthad looked into the boys' eyes, "I am weak compared to the power in you so I must continue to bow to him, but your strength and will is enough to defy him! I could help you if you wanted me to, we could even bring your mother back to life if you wanted to."
The boy looked at the hand and back to Kelthad before nodding again.
"Excellent," Kelthad clapped his hands together, "we will start immediately on your training. With my aid you will bring your mother back to life to enjoy the splendors of a galaxy without the iron fisted rule of the ill-hearted Emperor."
The blood from the farmers filled a chamber underneath the garage, plan three and four were going along swimmingly.
A start of the chaos chapter I'm working on for this RP.
OOC:... Monkeys??...now that wasn't very nice at all...Kelthad had better be careful he doesn't end up with a knife in his back....

Rev'ex and his troops materialized within the lower vehicle pits of the Tower.
Disembarking from their transports the sounds of battle reached their ears.
One of Kelthads insufferable boot lickers approached Rev'ex and his squads.
" Commander Rev'ex...Imperial forces have breached the Tower walls.." The underling said " It appears the heaviest concentration has engaged our forces in the Courtyard...a second unit of Imperials have entered the structure."
Rev'ex glared at the underling then turned to his own forces " 1st and 2nd squads of Noise Marines...you shall accompany my squad into the Courtyards...3rd squad and squad Reviled shall engage the fools inside the tower."
Rev'ex turned to Kelthads underling " I do so hope exalted Kelthad is pleased with his...offerings" Rev'ex spat shoving the lesser out of his way and leading his forces towards the courtyard.
Rev'ex marched into the courtyard, the glorious din of battle surrounding him.
He sighed letting the screams of the dying wash over him for a moment before issuing orders to his troops.
Turning to the two squads of Noise Marines Rev'ex hissed " Your squad shall flank to the left...yours to the right..." Rev'ex said indicating the positions he wished the Marines to occupy " There...unleash your ecstasy upon the Imperials."
The two squads of Noise Marines moved into posistion, crushing an occasional Guardsmen as the moved.
Rev'ex turned to B'Kar and his own squad " We shall move forward into the fray."
" By your command" The squad replied.
Advancing into the thick of the battle Rev'ex hacked and slashed the foolish followers of the Corpse God,taking great delight in the magnificent ways they came apart under his clawed power fist and flashing whip.
A barrage of lasgun fire cut the air around Rev'ex and he turned his attention to it's source...a group of a dozen crouching Guardsmen...their commander screaming idiot praises to a rotting Idol.
Rev'ex shook his head and gestured towards them " Fry them B'Kar"
The Marine raised his flamer, a fountain of pinkish flame washing over the Guardsmen who screamed and thrashed as they dissolved under the stream of cursed fire.
" Burn them all B'Kar" Rev'ex hissed " Burn them all."
Rev'ex second nodded and swept the flamer in an arc covering more of the advancing Guard.
The Prophet Part 2 The party in the city reached the inside of the walls and were instantly blinded the the stark contrast of the light now in front of them and the dark they had just left behind them. The troopers changed the setting on their visors to avoid permanent blindness. The guardsmen simply covered their forheads with their hands to block out the light, Commissar Brent seemed unphased.
"That building right there." Brent pointed at what seemed like a palace in the middle of a market, "The owner is a supposed massive land owner, all of the markets in front of of the palace and around it are his. That makes up about 45% of the city's commercial industry."
"Sorry to interrupt sir, but I don't think we're supposed to be marvelling at his enterprise." Captain Fett said while walking towards the path they were supposed to take.
"I guess you're right, lets go." Brent signaled the other Fluvians to follow them.
They were supposed to take the back alleys, they were supposed to meet no resistance, and they were supposed to be at their target in under 30 minutes. The walk took longer than they expected due to unforseen events.
Drunks and chem addicts wandered the back alleys, spilling alcohol and whatever sinful products they had on their persons. A few of them tried to get frisky with the guardsmen, whether it was due to the chems flowing through their veins or something else never crossed the guardsmen's minds. They were too busy smashing drunks in the face with the butts of their lasguns to care, the troopers also joined in the fun of dealing with miscreants.
They reached the palace without any physical harm although their memories would be forever scarred by the image of an obese man running nude down the alley and tackling several others only to be covered in oils and what seemed to be liquified sweets. They couldn't of gotten out of the alleys faster.
The palace itself was made out of gold covered adamantium, an impregnable fortress of steel and luxury to the outsiders. The palace security had its weaknesses like any other fortress, the soft underbelly.
"The sewers again?" one of the Fluvians moaned as they climbed into the pungent tunnels. The water splashed as they climbed in and the low hum of the visors punctuated the squeeking from various rodents.
"I don't know what's worse," another fluvian joined in, "the naked big man or the fact that we've been in two dirty as the warp tunnels.". His voice reverberated off of the wall as did their footsteps. The splashing couldn't be avoided to the dismay of the troopers, no doubt they preferred a quiet journey. They began to count the manholes above them until they had splashed all the way to manhole number 34, it would lead into the boiler room of the palace. From the boiler room they would have to move quickly to eliminate the Prophet before he could do any further damage.
The troopers placed a small amount of det tape around the edges of the locked manhole and hid themselves away from the vaulted opening. The blast sent rust down in a circular shower and some of the bits floated down the sewer. The manhole fell soon after and made a loud, wet thump as it hit the shallow water. Fett peeked above the opening to make sure it was clear and then signaled the rest of them to climb up. They set up a quick defensive position as Brent and the Fluvians climbed up after them. One of the Fluvians slipped and fell back into the sewer.
"Hey, come on man lets go!" Earl called down and received no response, "Check him out."
Another Fluvian jumped down, but there was no splash. He had landed on the Fluvian who had fallen down the sewer. The Fluvian noted that the man's neck was bent at almost 90 degrees and shook his head. The flowing sewage took the blood and spinal fluid coming from the man's ears away with the rest of the waste.
"He's dead sarge." the Fluvian said quietly while he was being helped out of the sewer, "Looks like he broke his neck when he fell."
"gak man, this isn't a good sign." Earl said aloud to no one in particular.
A servant walking down the hallway had heard some voices coming from the door and decided to check it out. The old man opened the door and walked into the dark room. He looked around and didn't see anything in the dark. The old man simply shrugged his shoulders and blamed it on the psychiatric drugs he had taken almost an hour ago. The group inside the boiler room let out a collective sigh and began to resume their planned mission.
Something for you IG players, I want you guys to RP a bit before I hit you guys hard. Dont worry though, the chaos players are going to get harder than an 18 year old mouthing off to an innercity police officer.
The battle in the courtyard, will you write this halonachos? (If so i would pm you, with some extra info.)
Or should we just write it ourselfs, to make sure nobdy gets killed?

I was planning on doing the courtyard stuff soon, probably as a precursor to the Agrarian story arc. I used to have a class at 1:30pm on tuesdays and thursdays but seeing as though the number for the class is wrong I had to drop it. So yeah, new RP probably tomorrow. If you guys could post who exactly is in the courtyard I'll go ahead and do it, so far I think Nikev, Fitzz, and maybe Tyranic are heading there. If I do it I will most likely use my stat system for the first time so yeah, I'll do it.

Ezreal couldn't deal with the pressures of this world. He had been shot in the chest with a lightning bolt and it had been enough to break him. He stood up with his shoulders slumped and began to walk out of the fortress. The battle raged all around him as he ignored it and walked towards the door. A chaos marine leapt in front of him and roared in challenge. Ezreal looked up at the marine who prepared to knock the Commissar into the next millenium with an uber power fist made completely out of shenanigans.
"I'm not playing anymore." Ezreal said sadly to the marine.
The marine's helmet frowned to reflect the marine inside, "Why not?" a tinny voice rang from the mouthpiece.
"I got hurt." Ezreal said while pointing to the burns on his chest.
A single tear dropped from the helmet's eyepiece and the marine reached for something in his back pouch. He glanced back at Ezreal to make sure he wasn't peeking. After rummaging in the pouch for half a minute he found what he was looking for and pulled it out to show Ezreal. It was a small jar of aloe vera, the marine's helmet smiled as did Ezreal. The marine put the aloe vera on Ezreal's chest and Ezreal could feel the pain of the burn go away.
"Better?" the marine asked still smiling nicely.
"Yeah, it feels like I wasn't shot by lightning now!" Ezreal was happy and so was the marine, "So you wanna be friends?"
"Sure." the marine said as the two shook hands.
The marine then clutched Ezreal by the throat and punted him through the wall surrounding the fortress and watched Ezreal's flight. Ezreal flew through the air and into space before imploding in a burst of peppermints. The marine stood there, waiting for Ezreal to return from his trip to space. He was saddened when his new friend didn't return, but saw something burning in the atmosphere, it was a giant peppermint! The marine's helmet smiled and the marine's tongue burst through the mouthpiece in anticipation of the peppermint. The peppermint landed on the marine's tongue but was far too hot so it caused the marine to catch on water. The marine stopped, dropped, and rolled but it wasn't enough to put out the water. The marine sadly drowned in the middle of the battlefield before growing a giant moustache made out of asbestos.
Oh man, I just realized that I can do this stuff and have it be what actually happens... *evil snicker
1) You guys should beall together, the chem-smuggler route was just to get into the city without using the main gate(which would cause attention to focus on it, the sewer was to get into the palace).
2) I will change the text color to cyan for you guys.

I second Ninjas suggestion to change the color used when writing Imperial events...the dark blue used now is very hard on the eyes...so much in fact that I barely skim Imperial events...searching only for relevant details.
EDIT:...Oh...you've done it already...damn I'm slow today.
Anderson watched the guardsmen quivering in their boots. He felt the same,
but he was a commissar. So he tightly grabbed control of his body, to keep eveything
in check. "Get me out of this wretched smoke." He yelled at the driver.
The chimera abruptly turned left, almost making his head connect with the cabin.
The chimera reached the outskirst of the smokescreen and drove on top off
a small hill. Anderson barged out as soon as the ramperts went down. The troopers
following him. The smoke had started to clear. Anderson looked at the vacant spaces.
And noticed a large part of the enemies forces had simply vanished. What was this for
trickery?
He saw several burning chimera's surrounded by slain guardsmen. He smiled
as he noticed that here and there, the bodies were not under his command.
Suddenly a landraider appeared out of a big cloud of smoke. Cleary making his way out.
"The enemy is retreating" He said victoriously. "Give the order to hunt them down, they may not
make it to the fortress." The vox caster nodded and gave the order. Soon chimeras were in hot
pursuit.
Those cowards wouldn't get away that easely. He once again scoured
the battlefield, always dubbelcheck he remembered from his education. Many commanders
had died because they didn't play it safe. Anderson always made sure that this wouldn't happen.
He glanced down the hill and saw a purplish demonette charging uphill. She sang in ancient words.
Words that hadn't been spoken in a thousand years.
He forgot everything around him, who he was and what happened. Only the Demons song
filled his mind. The demonette smiled as she gracefully sliced her way through Andersons squad.
No one moved, even the knowledge of sudden death didn't pull them from under her spell.
She stood in front of anderson, blood softly dripping of her claws.
She spoke to him, the words burned in his skull. He didn't understand.
The demon leaned forwards. Kissing him on the lips. The smell and taste of
a thousand things flowed through him. It was to much to take in. His head started pounding.
Her lips started to burn, the sensation spread in his body like wildfire.
His world only existed out of intense pain and extasy mingled toghether.
Moments seemed to take years, life had no ending, existence was unimportant.
He eagerly searched for the next boundary, he wanted more. The demon gave him what
he desired. She completly filled him. Every cell was filled up by her. And still he
wanted more. He pulled her closer, trying to lose himself in her. Memories to fast
to comprehend made their way through the burning extasy. He drank everything
he could get. It was never enough.
The sensation suddenly halted. His mind raced everywhere, trying to find it again. But nowhere it was found.
He forced his eyes open. He was laying on the hill. The sun blinded him.
She was nowhere to be found. Tears streamed down his cheeks, when he realised what he had lost.

General Gregor Nussberg sat at his deck pouring over combat reports and sipping a cup of caffeine... data on the siege on the farming community had just come through and Nussberg swore under his breathe ...over a thousand Imperial workers taken...an armoured column in flames...
"Emperor Damn them all." Nussberg said slamming his fist on his desk.
Nussberg was jolted by a knock on his door.
" Enter" the General bellowed, still trembling with anger.
A Duty Officer step into the room,a stack of papers clamped in his hands " Begging the Generals pardon Sir..but..I have some documents from the Chief Medical Officer that may be of interest."
Nussberg waved the Duty Officer over snatching the report from his hand.
The Duty Officer stood stiffly staring at the wall while the General went over the report.
"...And these troopers...they simply wandered back to headquarters ?" Nussberg asked raising an eyebrow "Minamil injuries?...after their position was completely over run?"
" That is what they relayed to the Medical Officer Sir." The Duty Officer replied.
" I don't like it." Nussberg muttered " They're either cowards...or."
" Shall I Inform security to monitor them Sir ?" asked the young Officer.
" Send a detachment to the Med Center now." Nussberg said rising from his desk " I wish to see these men myself."
" Very good Sir" The Duty Officer responded, saluting and exiting the room.
Nussberg shook his head, something was very wrong here,he removed his bolt pistol from it's holster and checked the loads.
A moment later General Nussberg exited his office and along with the Duty Officer headed for the Medical facility.
As the entered the corridors of the Med center,Nussberg froze...a young Guardsman stood naked in the hallway,a wreathe of multicolored flame encircled him...bolts of pink energy cascading from the mans form.
Throughout the corridor the members of the security detachment lay writhing in ecstasy...their eyes vacant..
Several other Guardsmen...nude and emitting warp fire joined the other for a moment and then exited the hallway through side doors...purple pink lightning dancing from their bodies as they moved towards the bases interior.
The remaining Guardsman looked at Nussberg and smiled as his human features begin to warp and twist...the hallway filling with pink swirling energy...
" Daemons" Nussberg whispered " Emperor save us."
He drew his pistol...
At this point I feel it only fair to allow Nachos to take over the story of what the possessed guardsmen do at the HQ...that way I won't be tempted to "go overboard" with the damage they do.

The thumps of landing artillery caused dust and pieces of loose cement to fall from the ceiling above the assembled lessers and Kelthad. They were all standing in a circle around the boy, the lessers chanting spells while Kelthad prepared the ritual. The blood from the farmers had been used to paint the eight pointed star on the floor, and the boy had been annointed with it. The blood still dripped from the boy's now slick hair. Candles lit the room as dust continued to fall. Screams were muffled by the ground above them, the silo doors above him were thick but not thick enough to be noise proof.
"Are you ready Jameson?" Kelthad asked the young boy.
The boy nodded, he had remained silent through the entire ritual. He had been promised a new life of joy and prosperity, a new stronger body, and most importantly his family's return to life. The crimson that covered him and surrounded him made the chamber smell like metal and gore, a perfect room for what Kelthad had planned.
Kelthad opened an old leather bound book filled with ancient parchments and found the spell he was looking for among the scab red letterings. With small finger movements he summoned the runes from the pages and watched them dance and writhe in the air in front of him. The smell of burnt flesh began to fill the air as the runes then flew to points on the blood star and seared themselves into the floor. Kelthad shut the book and pointed his staff at the boy before he began the ancient chant prescribed by the tome.
Pain entered the boy as his head began to fill with visions of gore, destruction, suffering, genocides, and murders. The boy grabbed at his head and screamed, his eyes rolled back into his head as he fell back to the floor. He convulsed and banged his head against the floor as if he was trying to remove the visions from his head. A loud ringing began to eminate from the air until the noise became too much for even Kelthad to handle. Never the less Kelthad continued the chant as he gritted his teeth to the ringing, as he finished the ringing suddenly stopped and the boy finally stopped spasming.
Kelthad walked over to the boy and examined his face. It was frozen in a mask of anguish and blood had frothed around his mouth.
"A shame." Kelthad thought, "He seemed like he was an alpha level."
Kelthad shook his head at the thought that he had been wrong in determining the strength of the boy's psychic prowess. He couldn't help but face the fact that there was no warp rift and that he had failed. Kelthad turned away from the boy and began to walk away angry. He noticed a slight change in the pressure and turned around. Cracking came from the boy's body as it began to contort into a circle until the body met its limit and split. The boy's innards flew against the silo doors above him and stuck there before finally falling back to the floor. Kelthad stepped backwards as he continued to watch the boy's body turn into a ring, the split reached his neck and then the skull cracked in half. Sinew and tendons pulled as the ring grew. The body stopped when it matched the diameter the silo doors above it.
Soon a large flash of light blinded the sorcerors filling the chamber, when they regained their sight a throbbing rift in reality sat in the middle of the room. Demons began to pour out and were directed away by the sorcerors before the flow seemed to stop. Kelthad nodded to the group and they all pointed their staffs to the portal and focused their energies towards it. The portal began to widen and the group was forced to the walls of the room before they had to leave the chamber. A giant bloody hand came from the portal and was followed by another. Soon yellowed horns began to poke through the portal and the red skin of the beast's head soon showed.
"Open the doors!" Kelthad yelled telepathically.
The Skullscreamers and guardsmen above the silo felt the ground move below them, they decided it would be best to disenage and move instead of falling into the pit. A roar came from the new hole and guardsmen and marine alike tried to cover their ears to the roar. Chunks of pavement flew into the air as fists the size of a chimera launched from the ground. Several guardsmen flew into the air with the pavement and crashed back down to the ground, smearing their gore across the courtyard. A Skullscreamer was smashed by pavement and reduced from 9 feet to only 3, his ichor poured from his armor and soiled the ground.
The Bloodthirster launched himself into the air and blotted out the sun before crashing back down, crushing guardsmen and chaos marine alike. The greater demon stood 50 feet tall and summoned a great battleaxe to its hand.
Ezreal watched the creature approach his squad and soiled himself at the sight of the creature.
"Fall back!" Ezreal yelled as he ached from the blast he had received earlier. Several squads of Fluvians followed the commissar as he ran towards the nearest ramp. He watched as some Nucians tried to maintain a firing line. The Bloodthirster bisected all of them with a single swing, the torso of one of them landed in front of Ezreal. The man's mouth moved back in forth as he gasped for air, Ezreal ran over the man and continued to run for safety.
Nikev watched as the marine who had challenged him sought cover from the demon. Nikev praised the emperor for this break and ordered his own men to fall back. While they were strong in faith they were currently weak in weapon and all the faith in the galaxy wouldn't stop the demon.
What happened to Rev'ex?...he was engaged in combat in the courtyard as well..
Should I just RP his reactions to everything that occurred since he obviously didn't engage in any combat that required dice rolling?
"Covering retreat! Covering Retreat!" Nikev shouted as he turned his attention away from the retreating marine and began firing rounds at the Massive Daemon that was tearing through friend and foe.
The Nucian's began a hasty tactical retreat, each squad covering one another as they ran from the courtyard back to the entrance to the tower. Guardsmen being cut down as they retreated from the massive firefight.

I would say yes Fitzz, the two other fights were already going on; Marta challenged Nikev, and Ghosty's sorceror pawn finger-lightning banged Sillyboy's character. Sorry Fitzz, but you were the third wheel this time around. Don't worry big guy there are plenty of other imperials on the battlefild. Keep your chin up.
@ Jp400, is the demon an icon of Khorne in the tabletop?
i still think this is rediculous the way that works, a herald of slaanesh who should be able to kill nikev before he can blink gets wounded?? i dont mind and im not complaining but its still a bit odd(out of interest does my char refresh wounds when he does his sacrifice thingie? he shouldnt do because its an exact copy)

So...you want your character to be immortal?
I'm sorry if I misinterpret, but after reading it a few more times, I am really having a hard time understanding.

I agree.
Play's with snowball in hell.
Well I'll be damned...that's something I never in my wildest dreams thought I'd ever see.
nah not immortal i just find it odd is all, we have absolutely no control over how our characters can survive, its prely down to a roll of the dice, in every other game out there we have some (sctratch that) a massive amount of input into how our character survives, here it is put down to a list of numbers and stats that we diddnt even see rolled (dw nachos i trust that you wouldnt bias or cheat im just saying)

I take it you have never played a real life pen and paper game like D&D.....
yeah i have, in fact alot of the time, but it still comes down to the fact that the stats of our character our skills and our actions are still dictated by us, its not like the dm rolls every single dice, makes every swing, every magical cast, every save
Players should never have to roll any dice. You sit back with a beer, edit your character sheets, act out your parts in the most embarrassing ways possible, and if you are using miniatures, move your mini.
You tell the DM/GM your actions, spells cast, swords swung, ale drunk and women smoozed (ect ect) and he decides the outcome.... at least that's how I have always seen it done.
Rev'ex stormed into a shrieking group of Guardsmen, his whip cutting the air as it shredded the flesh of the cowering Imperials.
" Know the bliss of my GOD!!" Rev'ex bellowed as his barbed whip hooked into the face of a pleading Guardsman and tore it from his skull.
Once more B'Kar unleashed a gout of pink fire into the Imperial lines..the viscous substance cooking the howling Guardsmen to the bone, their remains collapsing to the stone courtyard.
The screams of the dying became a glorious symphony to Rev'ex,his body quivered as he picked a begging follower of the Corpse God from the ground and punched his clawed fist into the mans stomach..freeing his enternals with a single yank.
" Pray to your god little brother." Rev'ex hissed into the dying mans face " He does not hear you...and if he does...he does not care."
Rev'ex tossed the man aside and lunged for another when the ground begin to tremble.
" What...what is this !?" Rev'ex roared as the stone in the courtyard erupted into a geyser of rubble, the concussion throwing Rev'ex back and spilling him to the ground.
Rev'ex quickly regained his footing,B'Kar rushing to his side...he glared in disbelief as the living embodiment of the Blood God emerged from a deep chasm.
" Kelthad" Rev'ex whispered " This is Kelthads work."
oh and anouther thing, im not just saying this because im a "superior" (wargear and normal statwise) character, if i was in nikevs place and i won i would be saying the same things
To tell the truth you guys do have a massive choice in your character's survival, if you didn't challenge Nikev I wouldn't have rolled. Also, your character wounds remain until the character inevitably dies( remember the wounds are not actual wounds, but chances). In this case you were fighting Nikev, but the sudden appearance of a scary greater demon of Khorne made your slaaneshi marine seek cover so Nikev took advantage of the situation.
Ezreal was already wounded in an RP, and lost the encounter so he ran while Ghosty's possessed sorceror laughed.
Also in D&D all players are on the same side, in this case they aren't so the GM role is a bit different.
Anywho, if you notice I had Nikev fall back instead of press the attack because falling back would reduce opposing PC interactions and I wouldn't have to roll. I promised to try to keep you guys apart whenever I could, the farm and city stories were part of that attempt.
Remember; I don't want to kill your characters I want you all to play and have fun.
Whoa...this is going to be a tough call...as a disciple of Slaanesh Re'vex would most defiantly be none to happy about a greater Daemon of Khorne "defiling" the Tower he's spent so long dedicating to Slaanesh...
...But...will he go against Kelthad?
(so the slaaneshi marine is just going to let nikev romp through his base?) meh
Here is this characters last tribute, i may make anouther one but this char is stained by arguments, dammit i liked him too
(bic) Turnig from the daemon Tyranic sees Re'vex backing away from the wrath of its form, "TRAITOR!!"
Tyranic raises his sword and chants a brief invocation to Slaanesh, his eyes glow a bright gold and Tyranic is slowly lifted into the air, his arms outstretched, at the peak of his flight, about a metre and a half above the ground he screams, his scream is short but incredibly peircing, knocking everyone to the ground, their ears in shock, even the noise marines are stunned by the volume and effect of the cry, only Re'vex can appreciate the deep intonation and rich melodies running through the scream.
Then Tyranics body explodes.
Bits of gore and armour fly across the courtyard, And from the area where Tyranics body was a shifting figure appears, A keeper of secrets in full form rises to its height, then the daemons clash.
(he would have backed of in shock, and my char would have interpreted this badly after his loss to nikev, ntm i want a new char, like i said, this one is stained with arguments, i need a fresh start., im thinking a chaos dread )
The clash of the two demons was as brutal as it was fast. However the pale keeper of secrets was stained black with its own blood. As it poured from the demon's neck the Bloodthirster held its head up as a mighty offering to his god.
The body of the keepr of secrets fell backwards as it began to turn into black smoke and faded back into the warp. The Bloodthirster then enveloped the Keeper's head in bronze flame and cast it into the portal it had come from.
Que sera, sera. Whatever will be, will be. The future's not ours to see. Que sera, sera.

Name: Ludias Arulan Age: 10,000 Sex: Male Affiliation: Skullscreamer Possesed Appearance: A warped and twisted individual, his hair has morphed into a mass of slim tentacles and his arms are a pale purple, and slightly slimy, every breath he takes rattles slightly as his three tongues dart in and out of his double hinged mouth. His legs, strange reverse kneed taloned disfigurations are nothing short of hideous. his armour has melded with his body and his chest piece is overlapped in places with layers of scales. Background: Once an ordainary heritic Ludias was inducted into the skullscreamer legion and morphed into a chaos space marine, over time when his powers grew into those of a marine he thirsted for more and made the rights for himself to be possesed. now ever scine he has been slowly driven mad by a desire for power, not temporal power, like that of a ruler, but phisical strength, and he has been possesed several times and has dominated the daemons and suppressed their personalities. When Fabius Bile found the Skullscreamer legion he experimented on Ludias's form, making him far more powerful than any one man should ever be, however Ludias still does not fully understand what has happened to him and discovers more strengths and abilities all the time... Hobbies: Breathing fire to light candles

And I tought that ezreal was made of sterner stuff. But apparently this is his
first time backing out of a fight, with the exeption of his shame. Oh we,l let me
think why he could be running away, and then begin to write.
Ezreal chest felt like it was broken. He had feel pain before, but this was worse.
He smelled burned flesh. This wasn't good. He watched as a bloodthirster appeared
on the battlefield. His men bravely charged forwards. But they wouldn't make it.
Ezreal had to acknowledge defeat, for now. "Fall back!" he screamed.
They stammered as they heard his words. Commisar Ezreal commanding a withdrawal.
This battle was truly lost.
The men ran back across the courtyard. Some leaving their weapons behind.
It would only slow them down. Ezreal smiled as he saw his men retreat in a hastly but orderly manner.
Nikev ran past him. "I'll take point." Ezreal nodded. The distance to the door seemed miles.
His breath started to falter. He came to a sudden halt. Carressing his burnt upper body.
He coughed. Ezreal saw tiny bits of blood flying everywhere. These were the signs
of a dead man. Nikev stood at the door, gesturing him to move. He had no chance of surving.
He gripped Elegance tighter and turned around, facing the traitors on his own.
Nikev didn't believe what Ezreal was about to do. "Rest in peace." he whispered as he ran into
the darkness.
The traitors gazed at the Lone commissar. Not sure what to do, this had never happened before.
Ezreal coughed once more, more blood coming out of his mouth. He decided to end it now.
"Only in dead does duty ends." he whispered throug his breath. He disserved this.
Elegance understood him as she shimmered in the pale light.
He looked at he dark shape of the demon. He started walking. His life was formed
by batlle and death. And so it would end. His suffering would be done. He started running.
Charging right towards the bloodthirster.
B'kar levelled his boltgun at the charging commisar. "Leave it." Re'vex Commanded.
As he watched the brave soldier. He understood.
Can i kill the greater demon? By a one in a million shot and some help? Or do you need him for the storyline?
Was going to rp for Anderson, but i'll wait for jp's reaction to the chimeras that are following his 'tactical' retreat.
Edit; i'm thrilled right now, just checked my e-mail and i've got an appointment with my student counsellor. There is a distinct possibilty that next schoolyear, i could be studying in the USA

Nice.
Trying to come up with a descent story.. but failing right now due to trying to do a couple hundred math problems while sick as a dog. Will have a reply up today for sure though since you are waiting for me.
"That was too close, we're going to have to split up" Darren said, almost wispering
"I agree, I'll take them to the south" Brent said, motioning to the troopers, some of them were spiting down the hole, trying to get as close to the body as possible
"right, take this" Noemi said, producing a spare vox set "it's old but it works"
The commisar took the Vox, attaching it to his belt, he poked his head out of the door, checking that the coast was clear.
"Lets go" He said, waving his boltpistol. he disapered around the door-frame in a swirl of his coat and Earl's squad followed him out, lasguns twitching at the shadows cast by the hanging lanterns.
--- OOC: me and karon agreed to split up, it means that we're not waiting around for each other to RP and an imperial palace is going to be BIG so it makes sense

Even if you did, I kind of thank you for letting it end quickly. I'm going to keep the system for the rest of the RP, but I am thinking about changing it if I ever do another on here.
Splitting up in the palace is a good idea, in fact its how Scooby Doo and company usually capture their villians.
No, Ezreal cannot kill the demons because Ezreal is a zombie.(for those who get it I will give one survival coupon, good upon the death of your character).
Chances left.

Gregor fired his bolt pistol as he backed out of the hallway, a ball of pink flame hit the wall behind him as he ducked behind the corner.
"Call some more guys over here, bring a priest or something as well." Gregor shouted, forgetful of the fact that the priests had all died within a month of their first landing. This duty officer nodded and began to run for the nearest vox station. Klaxons soon began to wail as the med center's walls were breached.
Guardsmen ran to the med center unprepared for what had been unleashed in the heart of their base. Fluvians and Nucians alike were immolated by warpfire as the possessed stalked through the base. A full fifteen were killed before the first lasgun discharged in their direction, flames shot back at the defenders. Soon commissars were preaching litanies of hate and litanies of cleansing as flamer units also moved to the location.
"Cleanse them with holy fire!" a commissar yelled as the flamers spewed their orange flames over the possessed guardsmen. The warpfire died down as the orange flames blanketed it, soon the charred bodies of the possessed guardsmen remained. A circle formed around them, lasguns and tarnished bayonets pointed towards the blackened remains.
Several men let out a heavy breath of relief as they felt their heart rate slow. The excitement was over and they would have to cleanse the bodies before removal, they had a lot of work ahead of them. The circle began to disband as the first demon materialized from the body it had possessed. The men surrounding it fired haphazardly, maiming the demon and comrades alike. The other bodies split like cocoons and released the demons that had been inside them. The air hung heavy with the smell of ozone and necrotized flesh. The demons were slick with slime and colored in a purplish hue, their beady black eyes reflected the lasfire. They howled as they charged towards the surrounding guardsmen and began to dismember the closest ones. Howls of pain and the sound of ripping flesh filled the air.
"Frag them, frag the feth out of them!" Gregor yelled as he fired his bolt pistol at the cluster of demons. Pins hit the ground as frag grenades thumped against the demons, the guardsmen hit the dirt as a collective seven grenades detonated. The demons were peppered with shrapnel and began to leak black goo. They screached in pain and increased the speed of their attacks in retaliation. Flamers began to unleash their flames at the demons as they did before. A single demon leapt over the flames and crashed into a flamer, the man screamed as the demon began to bite at the man's face and neck. The sharp teeth punctured the carotid artery and warm blood flooded out of the man's neck with each heartbeat. Out of excited reaction the other flamers began to cover the demon in flame, they didn't realize that they were also cooking the man's promethium tanks and an explosion threw the demon and man into the air while metal shards flew into the bodies of the surrounding flamers. Another tank ruptured and detonated after it was hit by shrapnel. Men grasped at their faces and various body parts as hot metal embedded itself in their skin and bones.
The rest of the men sustained their fire on the demons until they began to melt into the ground below them. The wounded were collected and more flamers were brought in to cleanse the ground.
Gregor tried to catch his breath as an adjutant ran up to him.
"Sorry to bear more bad news sir," the adjutant began apolegetically, "but our front line troops report the presence of a large warp portal in the Tall Tower itself."
"Any news from our task force in the city?" Gregor asked.
"No sir, when we tried to contact the Fluvian transport we received no answer as well." the adjutant stood in wait of Gregor's response.
"We might as well count them as dead." Gregor's eyes turned orange as they reflected the flames cleansing the ground, "We're all dead."
"Sir?" the adjutant was confused.
"We have to make the call." Gregor replied sadly, "We have to initiate Operation: Redemption."
"What...I mean, Yes sir." the adjutant returned half-heartedly.
"Well over thirty men dead and a gate to the warp." Gregor thought, "This planet is on the road to damnation and we can't save it."
Kelthad was returning to his tower with his favorited lackey when he was approached by two skullscreamers.
"Sorceror, you have betrayed us by summoning this fell beast of...Khorne" the marine spat as he said the name of his god's nemesis.
"I did not betray you," Kelthad was bored already, "I paid you to do what I told you to like good little monkeys and you will listen to my orders like good little monkeys."
"You ingrate!" the other marine shouted as he began to stomp towards Kelthad. Kelthad smiled as he turned the man into an actual monkey with the wave of his hand. The marine's power armor fell to the floor and spilled over to reveal the cowering sapian.
"Ger'rad! I'll kill you witch!" the other marine barreled towards Kelthad before he was paralyzed by Kelthad's magics. The marine floated against the ceiling as he thrashed to get free.
"Horive," Kelthad said to his lesser, "what do you think I should do to this waste of air?"
Horive was honestly shocked that Kelthad had asked him how he should dispose of a marine, it was abnormal for him.
"You already have a monkey, my Liege." Horive said while mulling over various ideas in his head, "Perhaps you are in need of a new toy for your new pet?"
"Hmmm..." Kelthad thought his lesser's idea over, "What do you suggest?"
"I heard that little animals enjoy toys they can pull apart my Liege." Horive said confidently.
"Good idea." Kelthad said as he began to pull his fingers together. As he did the marine began to shrink in size until he resembled a small action figure. The monkey crawled out of the armor and Kelthad floated the mini marine towards the small creature. The monkey grabbed the tiny marine and began to pull at his arms until one popped off, miniature screams managed to reach Kelthads' ears and he walked off happily towards his command tower.
The moral of the story, dont feth with Kelthad or he'll turn you into a tabletop figue.
Ludias was calm, his mind flicking of hundredds of possibilities, was his god testing him? Were the deamons finally taking over? No it IS a greater deamon, he can feel its prescence, and there was anouther, but it was slaughtered.
Leaping from the window his feet land softly 8 stories down, he hides behind a pillar looking at the beast, it certainly was strong.
B'kar levelled his boltgun at the charging commissar. "Leave it." Rev'ex Commanded.
As he watched the brave soldier. He understood.
Rev'ex turned from the carnage " Accompany me" he bellowed to his squad storming into the Towers main Hall, his men following quickly.
Rev'ex trembled with fury, the loss of Tyrannic enraged him ...and though he carried no hatred of the followers of the Blood God,finding their passion for murder exhilarating,he was loathe to have the embodiment of the Lord of War summoned into this sacred ground of Slaanesh.
" This is Kelthads doing" Rev'ex hissed lowly " And I will know why."
A Sorcerer approached Rev'ex and his squad as they advanced toward the lift to Kelthads chambers " Exalted Kelthad has not requested your presence Commander Rev'ex."
Rev'ex grabbed the Sorcerer by the throat and hauled him off the ground drawing his face close " Stand aside Conjurer!" Rev'ex growled, his eyes glowing with pink fire " I shall have my audience with Kelthad!...and no mewling lap dog will prevent it."
" Release me " The Sorcerer gurgled as Rev'ex grip tightened around his neck " You dare not disobey The Exalted Kelthad...his power shall consume you."
" Do not underestimate my power Sorcerer!!" Rev'ex screamed,he flames leaping from his eyes encircling the Sorcerers head.
" I shall inform the Exalted One you wish an audience with him" The Sorcerer said..his voice distant.
Rev'ex released the Sorcerer, who crumpled to the stone floor.
" No need to trouble yourself Conjurer" Rev'ex hissed " I know the way..."
Rev'ex turned to B'Kar " Wait for my return here my trusted one.."
" By your command..my lord" B'Kar replied with a bow
Rev'ex entered the lift to Kelthads chambers...he would have his answers.
A guardsman walks around the corner of the pillar, trying to escape the daemon, seeing the possesed the guardsman trys to yell in terror but Ludias already has him.
As soon as the guardsman came within reach Ludias's face begins to melt, finally the glamour is removed and the swarm of tentacles that makes up Ludias's unglamoured face.
Reaching out the tentacles take the guardsmans face in their grasp the guardsmans scream is cut of as the tentacles begin to pulse, several seconds later the withered husk of the mans body collapses to the ground.
Smiling the reglamoured face of Ludias licks its lips, "truly divine, the taste of fear"
BIC: Seeing Ezreal turn around he knew that the dying commissar made his decision. "Move it!" Nikev shouted to those that were not standing by him supporting the others, "EZREAL!" Screamed a few squads of Fluvizans as they charged to be by their Leader in a final fight to the end.
Nikev dared not deny them their desires as he turned and retreated with the last of the Guardsmen. Exiting the tower, and leaving a fellow comrade to die in glorious battle in the Emperor's name.

Nope..Rev'ex was "inspired" by the sight of the Commissar charging the greater daemon of Khorne to go face Kelthad with his grievences...but..he left his squad down in the main chambers.
Of course you could always have the Sorcerer Rev'ex "Mind scrambled" to get past and get up to actually confront Kelthad feel the brunt of Kelthads "anger".

The tower explodes, causing the whole planet to turn into a malted milkball.
A single khorne terminator sits atop the malted milkball of a planet, astonished.
"melon-fether" the Terminator sighed
Patrick felt the impact of the bullet in the back of his skull, going straight through his brain, killing him.
Tombstone laughed, but then forget that Patrick was made of printer cartridges.
Dude...that was fethin hysterical...nice one Karon. ...Of course..Tombstones still going to kill Patrick..whenever Dark get's the RP going again...in the next 10 to 20 years.
Ezreal charged the demon, lightning started to flow around him, Blinding the foul beast.
Seven midgets suddenly appeared out of nowhere and used their bodies to make a stair.
Ezreal jumped up them, each on he touched turned into solid gold. At the last one he made a giant leap
towards the enraged bloodthirster. "Falcon Punch!" He screamed while connecting his fist with the beast head.
It exploded in a shower of popcorn. The heretics and guardmen immediatly started battling over the sweet remains.
Ezreal pulled out his sunglasses. "The bigger they are, the sweeter they taste." A hig pitched scream appeared out of
nowhere. Nobody knew were it came from but it was cool.
Ezreal walked towards the giant bird, pulling his mortal skin of. Instead of Ezreal stood the Emperor.
The bird looked in awe, he didn't expect this. he fell to his knees asking forgivness. "No pity for the weak"
the Emperor said. He pulled out his golden D6 of awesomness and threw it on the ground. A one appeared.
The bird chuckled as he pulled his own dice out, made of tiny birds. He threw it and roleed 2 6's.
The emperor cried. "No you killed me." A giant hand appeared out of the sky. Lifting the emperor up
and putting him in its box. "Stupid demons with their dice controlling powers." Sillyboy said looking angry at Ghosty.
OOC: Sorry didn't felt like doing something usefull today....
Just a quick heads up..My Brother is coming to visit this weekend...so I probably wont have the time to do much in the way of RPing.
I'll attempt to check on the story and perhaps do a quick write up here and there...but don't expect much until Monday.
Sorry for any inconveniences..

Nice to see some humor from Karon for once even though that's my job.
Sorry I had to post this so late on Saturday, but church and work decided to interfere.
THIS RP IS FINAL
Rev'ex waited for the elevator to finally open after reaching its destination. It creaked under his weight, as if protesting the physical nature of it's current user. Rev'ex thought that it was a good idea to leave his men behind, the poor spirit of the elevator would've killed itself trying to lift even two of them. The doors hissed open and cool air rushed from the command room as sorcerors turned to face the new arrival.
"He's not going to see you." they seemed to say in unison, the sound was eerie even for Rev'ex.
"I need to speak with him concerning his plans." Rev'ex replied staring them down.
"Let him ask." Kelthad said slyly from a swivel seat.
"You summoned a Bloodthirster, a greater demon of my patron god's enemy. We cannot accept this outrage, we prepared this planet as a shrine for Slaanesh." Rev'ex was about to continue but Kelthad raised a single hand and Rev'ex went quiet. Not because of the gesture, but because Kelthad was choking him with his magics.
"I'm going to stop this, but you will have to listen." Kelthad turned in the chair and the monkey scampered off of his lap. Rev'ex nodded as his throat felt tighter and tighter.
"How many sides are in an eight pointed star Rev'ex?" Kelthad asked.
"Eight." Rev'ex was confused.
"Out of the eight points on the star, how many represent the major gods of chaos?" Kelthad put his hands together as he watched Rev'ex.
"Only four of them are major." Rev'ex responded still confused.
"Now," Kelthad stood up and began to walk towards Rev'ex,"if we say that the four pointed star is a weapon with four blades and then remove three of the blades, which is more deadly?"
Rev'ex thought is would be for the best if he didn't answer this question and he was right, it was a hypothetical question. In fact if Rev'ex tried to answer Kelthad was going to turn him into come sort of canine to accompany his new monkey.
"The weapon with the four points is deadlier." Kelthad circled the still Rev'ex, "That is why I chose to embrace all four of the chaos gods my armoured friend. I also paid you to follow whatever plans I had in mind, pay that you gladly accepted I might add. I never paid you to dedicate this planet to a single god, I paid you to help me tribute this planet to the greater good of chaos."
"You mean like Abaddon the Despoiler?" Rev'ex said while repressing his anger.
"Similar, but Abaddon is incompetent." Kelthad replied, "Thirteen some crusades and nothing to show for them."
"But you aren't a fool like Abaddon." Rev'ex added quickly.
"And neither are you apparantly." Kelthad smiled behind his mask and clapped the marine on the back. Rev'ex was slightly sickened by the sorceror's touch but he managed to keep his emotions inside still. "I have a proposal for you..."
"I am listening of course." Rev'ex responded.
"You pleased me with the little operation I had you conduct in the farms so I am willing to forget this entire conversation and your transgressions against my great plan for a little favor." Kelthad sat back in his seat, "I know that you know that the Fluvians have begun to show mutations, you are too foolish to know that this was all planned and in fact it is but a single step in one of my many plans. I need you to go down to the eigth level along with several of your instruments and make some music to broadcast through the horn."
"Music, any specific kind?" Rev'ex felt something like a weight come off of his chest.
"You can move now." Kelthad said calmly, "Oh and something that follows this chant." A piece of parchment fluttered towards Rev'ex like a precious insect and rested in his palm.
"It shall be done." Rev'ex said as he turned and entered the lift. It's creaking announced its arrival to the ground floor where his squad was waiting. Through quick orders the squad departed to collect as many prisoners as they could, a sizeable seven were needed and easily obtained from the now full hunting grounds around them. They didn't even need to leave the courtyard to find their quarry and seven men of the imperium were dragged screaming into the dark chambers of the Tall Tower. They were taken to a room where Rev'ex would brainwash them to sing individual bits of the chant on cue and then take them to the room Kelthad had prepared for them. It took the use of several hallucinogenic drugs to get all seven of the hapless guardsmen to participate but Rev'ex was soon proud of his tuning.
"Take them to the eighth chamber," Rev'ex told his men, "a sorceror should be there to take care of the rest."
At that moment the warp portal continued to fester with lesser demons to the point that they began to clamber out into the battle above them. Demons from Khorne fought the demons from Slaanesh and Nurgle fought Tzeentch as they continued to fight within the bowels of the Tall Tower. Unbeknowst to the majority of Kelthad's soldiers and all of the imperial troops the gods of chaos were working on a pact to seal the fate of the planet, their demons suffered for the arguments of their masters as territory was divided amongst the gods. The planet would be split into four territories for their respective followers, the planet would become an unholy mecca tributed to the undivided strength of chaos. Its population would be divided amongst the gods after it was plunged into darkness, for now they would aid their followers with demonic armies.
The sorceror directed Kelthad's squad to strap the men into several chairs, wires hung limp from the chairs like loose strings. Leather straps were put around their hands and legs to prevent ay escape should the drugs wear off before the chant was finished. The sorceror dismissed the marines and then began to insert the wires into the necks of the men, directly into their vocal chords. It would catch all of the reverberations of the chords and allow perfect broadcasting of what they would be saying. The wires laced along their backs and onto the floor where they fed into a baroque chest decorated with bronzed predatory birds and lavished with dark purple velvet. Inside the box was an ancient vox unit that would relay the chant to the vox room where the large horn would then proceed to send out the chant for the world to hear.
The Bloodthirster, now aware of his master's wish, began to ignore the followers of Slaanesh and charged towards the fleeing guardsmen. It tackled into the gatehouse and caused it to crash down, crushing more than several men but more importantly blocking an exit. It then turned and began to exact revenge for its wounds upon the men who had followed the puny commissar. As it did, the horn raised above the battlefield and the men in the chamber began to chant. Their voices became monotone as they progressed into the chant and its effects were being felt by the imperials. Fluvians began to vomit as their constitutions were pitted in combat against the prayers of chaos, a battle that many of them were losing. The marines looked down at the sickly Fluvians and took great joy from executing them but noted that the giant Bloodthirster had stopped moving as if it was listening to music for the first time in its eons of existance.
"Amplify the volume and begin the second chorus." Kelthad said dismissively to one of his inferiors and continued to watch the monkeys below him execute his creations. "Those imbeciles are too incompetent to understand a chant belonging to their own god. Rather droll for my tastes in irony."
"Yes my Liege, they are rather unintelligent." Kelthad's favorite added, "They will never have the capacity to match one percent of your vast knowledge and capability. Of course that may be too generous to the marines."
Kelthad began to truly enjoy his favorite's brown-nosing. It was quite refreshing compared to the fear that prevented his other lessers from voicing their praise for him. A good ego-stroking always took priority in judging his lessers, a failed mission was even forgiveable if Kelthad was praised enough beforehand.
"My Liege we have word of a split in enemy demographics." a lesser said to Kelthad slowly, "It seems the Nucians are falling back while the Fluvians are charging our lines, enemy Valkryies have been spotted and our anti-skimmer crews are preparing to repel them."
"Excellent," Kelthad clapped his hands together, "everything is falling into place, tell whoever is with the chanters to prepare for the third chorus when I give the word."
The Fluvians in the Tall Tower continued to vomit and die as they convulsed in pain due to the noise coming from the horn. Their minds went blank and memories were erased so that their suffering was directed to the current moment. They had no past, only a present and future filled with pain and suffering. They began to stop breathing and soon all of the Fluvians in the courtyard were laying on the cold rock-crete dead, their souls consigned to the hell that was damnation within the walls of the very bastion they were trying to take. Their souls would battle for eternity against the demons that possessed the walls and machinations of the fortress and they would know no rest.
Operation Redemption was in full swing, the men of the Fluvian mechanised had rallied to their transports and their commanders for a quick speech before beginning their journey to the front lines. The Nucians were to fall back to hold a defensive position should the Fluvian offensive fail and more importantly a call for aid from Astartes and Inquisition alike was sent out through the planetary governor's astropath in the capital city. The Fluvians would commit themselves to a suicide charge to die fulfilling the wishes of the Emperor instead of at the hands of loyal marines or secretive inquisitors, confessions were written and transmitted along with encrypted information in an attempt to redeem their souls in the eyes of the Emperor. Gregor looked at the pics of his family before closing the pocket watch he had kept them in. He had dressed in his field uniform and mounted into the command Salamander only moments ago, now he faced certain death and hoped that his men could drive the forces of chaos back into the very portal they had summoned to wreak havoc upon his men.
All of his men had left the HQ. The wounded were rapidly treated and prepared for combat while those unfit or incapable of fighting were given the Emperor's mercy in the form of a quick autopistol shot. The Nucians were somewhat surprised by the sudden change in strategy but attributed it to Gregor's feelings of insecurity and didn't bother to question him. A full company of men would slam into the archenemy's line at once, an attack that would shatter their defenses and prevent them from mounting a successful counterattack before aid arrived for the Nucians. If only the Nucians knew the sacrifice the Fluvians were about to make for the Emperor they would've sung songs of mourning for them instead of cheering on their attack.
The rumbling of treads and the thunder of artillery were the only things the Fluvians heard as they drove off to battle.
Ezreal charged straight forwards, fellow guardsmen behind him. The bloddthirster came towards him. Ezreal let himself drop to his knees. The momentum made him slip beneath the demons axe. The axe just millimeters above his face. Ezreal didn't care. He had excepted his fate. All these years of wrath and batlle finaly could come to an end. But it wasn't over just jet. Nikev was still depending on him.
while sliding he used Elegance to slice to the ankle of the demon. Black goo spat over his face. The strong sent of sulpher filled his nose. His fellow guardsmen lay dying on the floor, shot down by the heretics. Ezreal quickly stood up an turned to face the enraged beast.
Gra'ksirra watched the brave commissar. Something was odd. He felt something he hadn't felt in a long time. Not since he left the library of Fateweaver. He gazed at the strings of times. His sight was blurry. He didn't have the strenght to pierce through the veil of time. But he could feel, the ammounts of strings attached to this moment. It baffled his mind. This was a defining moment.
He watched the commissar wounding the bloodthirster. It was that person. It couldn't be someone else. And suddenly he remembered. It was on a time he was a scribe to the great Fateweaver. Listing to his phropecies were a blessing. And he rembered one the old demon once said. It even made Fateweaver blink as he spoke the words.
In chaos scorn, he was born, Alive without breath, As cold as death; Never thirsty, ever drinking, Alll in all never clinking He cannot be seen, cannot be felt, Cannot be heared, cannot be smelled. It lies behind stars and under hills, And empty holes it fills. It comes first and follows after, Ends life, kills laughter.
This was it. This person was deemed for great things. And he would do it in Tzeentch name. The commissar had sliced of a finger from the bloodthirster. The demon threw him against the courtyard. Gra'ksirra heard bones shattering. But still the commisar stood up. Leaning heavily on his powersword, coughing blood. "Great things, indeed" Gra'skirra tought.
Ezreal felt his head spinning around. He longed for the darkness. Through his bloodsoaked eyes he saw the greater demon charging towards him. This was it. He pulled all his strenght together, and raised Elegance up. 3may, you find a new compagnion to protect, my dear friend."
The demon was carefull and instead of attacking blindly, he made a broad swoop with his axe. Ezreal saw it coming. But his body neglected to respond. He closed his eyes, waiting. He felt nothing. Was this it? Was his life done. He opened his eyes, staring right in the demons face. It roared in anger and repeatedly tried to kill Ezreal but the axe couldn't reache him. It was like the air didn(t want the axe to come through.
Ezreals Legs began to shudder and he fell on the pebbles. His trouth felt like it was burning. It seemed, the taint had robbed him to go to the Emperors side. It didn't matter, he just wanted to die. He opend his eyes on last time. Coughing up more blood. He saw a sorcerror standing next to him. Ezreal saw through his half opened eyes Wings popping out of his back. This was what he had seen. The bird lifted his hands towards Ezreal. "Let me help you." "Crawl back to your hole, demon!" Ezreal said in a broken voice. Hre slipt away in the cold, forgiving Darkness.
Gra'skirra looked at the dying Commissar, it was a brave one indeed. He tought a few moments off letting nature run his course. But there was to much potential in this frail body. He streched his finger and layed it down on his heart. Beginning to whisper dark incantations. It was hard, Chaos tried to rob him of his mind. But he build walls around his consious and pressed forward. Time seemed to press on forever. His walls began to crumble, when he found the essence of the Commissar. He pulled him out. The commissars essence struggled. But gra'skirra wouldn't let him go.
With his latest power, he broke free and threw Ezreal back in his body. The eyes of the Commisar abruptly opened. The Sign of tzeentch burnt in his skin. "Welcome back." Gra'skirra said exhausted.
"CLEAR" Odessa clalled, aiming his lasgun down one of the corridors, this place was massive, so many corridors, so many rooms.
There was a tap on his shoulder and he fell back into formation, covering the rear along with Javier. they came to the end of the corridor, a large blast door was blocking their path. marc was already at the control panel, using the acess codes in their breifing package to over-ride the door. the door opened with a grinding of gears and a hiss of steam. It opened into a large hanger, the sides of the hanger were lined with a fleet of repressors and rhinos.
"take cover, contacts" came the call over the vox
everybody tried to dive behind the nearest vehicle, but it was to late, lasbolts snapped past the squad as they scrambled behind vehicles. The air was filed with cris-cros bolts of energy as troopers began to return fire.

(ic) Ludias follows the battle in the courtyard with intersest, but does not show himself, now is not the time, he heads back into the fortress, perhaps there would be prey there, quickly he finds a roving group of guardsmen, and follows them silently, it isnt hard, they make so much noise. His stealth is his weapon. The leader is compentent and wouldnt allow him to attack the squad of guardsmen with out injuring the possesed marine.
Instead of attacking the squad he burrows into the ducting and follows a route behind the guardsmen, waiting until they duck behind one of the tanks. he climbs into a corner, using his scaled hands as climbing devices he scuttles along the wall.
When the guardsmen duck behind the rhino he reches down to the one at the back and, muffling any crys with his tentacles over the mans mouth and other limbs, lifts him silently to the roof where he is absorbed and stashed on top of a roof joist as a withered husk.
Rev'ex had done as Kelthad had requested and delivered the Followers of the Corpse God to him, each one conditioned to sing the Dark Hymes Kelthad had demanded.
Now,in his chambers,Rev'ex stood glaring at the forms of six Guardsmen he had arranged for B'Kar to bind onto his racks...each Guardsman stared in terror at the grinning figure that loomed before them.
Kelthad may have his designs drawn for conquest of this pitiful world...and this did not bother Rev'ex...but...he would insure that The Lord of Dark Pleasures received tribute...Rev'ex the Insatiable would Honor his God.
"Prepare to know joys and agonies beyond your most secret dreams my Brothers." Rev'ex hissed at the bound Guardsmen as he uncoiled his whip.
In seconds the lower chambers of the Tall Towers were filled with the shrieks of the damned.
halonachos wrote:Good to see you back Fitzz, I hope all was well although the torture of six new guardsmen could go either way in telling us about it.
Good to be back Nachos, and yes all was well, just spent the weekend enjoying some time with my Brother who had come up for a visit, I've woken with a few small hangovers since Friday...but I'm sure the six Guardsmen are going to feel much worse when old Rev'ex is finished with them.
Edit:..
Well,I just had a small heart attack concerning my Brothers visit,or rather his return trip.
My Phone rang and I saw it was him calling,so I assume he's doing a "check in" (letting me know he was close to home..etc)
Well..upon answering the phone...all I hear is screams and shrieks...which of course shakes me up a bit IE..I'm yelling his name and about to grab my pistol and go jump in my car and just drive in the direction I know he'd take to head home.
Well...it turns out he "butt dialed" me,his phone left in the seat of his car while his girlfriend went into a gas station and he pumped gas...and the DVD player in the car had been left on with Saw playing...we had a good laugh...but...I think that just took five years off of my life.
The Fluvians had created a line of bayonets surrounding the Tall Tower, the sun glinted off of the polished steel as they began to march forward from all directions. Commissars yelled as they tried to make the souls of their men match the cold steel quality of the bayonets they pointed towards the fortress. Treaded vehicles followed closely behind them and churned the dirt beneath them while valkryies zoomed overhead. The archenemys' anti-skimmer weapons lit up the already bright sky and tracked the flyers that now flew around the fortress like flies around carrion. A loud explosion marked the death of a flyer and it bled inky smoke as it plummeted into the ground below. The Fluvians continued to march, ignoring the skimmers that began to fall around them.
The olive green wall of men and camoflaged adamantium behemoths slowly approached their quarry. They could see their enemy waiting for them and they could see a variety of demons waiting at the thresholds of the two remaining open gates. They were waiting, this was the only thing that unsettled the Fluvians, the demons were waiting for them. It seemed like an imperfect trap, it was against their nature to wait for an enemy to attack and demons had never been defensive before. The training they had received taught them that demons would always take the offensive, yet they were waiting.
Gregor looked onto the field through the hatch of the Salamander and the smell of fyceline and burning promethium filled his nostrils. It was the only time he had regretted taking off his rebreather but he wouldn't need it to cover his mutations soon. He prayed that his calls for aid had been noted in the vast expanse of the galaxy and he hoped that his men would redeem themselves before that call was acted upon. The battlefield was eerily quiet, not a single shot was fired nor a round of ordnance expended. A light breeze began to blow from the fortress and the smells of the warp began to permeate into the air around them.
The wall of men and steel then halted, men dismounted from their chimeras and commissars walked along the ranks to ensure order among the men. The Uplifting Primer was quoted over a hundred times in under ten minutes by the men waiting for the charge. A single nod from their commanding officer would announce a barrage of artillery which would signal the offensive.
The nod came and the thunder of ordnance filled the sky, contrails from the shells seemed to write doom in the vast blue above them. Roaring came from the men as they ran towards their target, the din of over a thousand boots against the ground drowned out the sounds of bolter fire from the fortress. The demons then began their own countercharge as the barrage impacted with their targets. Bits of power armor and demonic appendages flew into the air and coated the inside of the Tall Tower with a slurry of flesh, blood, and ichor.
Men were trampled as they fell to enemy fire the proud gold and bright green flag of the Fluvian mechanised bobbed in the crowd as the flag bearers were killed and replaced over and over. The demons were skewered on the bayonets and demons began to rend the Fluvian guardsmen. Human blood and demon fluid mixed on the ground below them as all out war initiated.
In the city the low-lifes began to arm themselves and painted symbols of devotion on their bodies. The local arbites tried to hold back an assault on their headquarters. Rioting broke out in the city as loyalists and heretics began to fight in the streets. The two squads in the palace were insulated against these outside events. They didn't know that they were already listed as dead and they didn't know that the city had gone to hell. The Prophet and his followers laughed and drank themselves into stupors as the city around them began to burn.
The call for aid had been received by a close inquisitorial vessel. It was an unknown irony, the ship was already en route to the planet to find the alpha level psyker who had been sacrificed by Kelthad only a day ago. The message was relayed to nearby ships and several battle barges began to change their respective courses towards Netat. More importantly the word of demonic invasion summoned the Ordo Malleus's attention. The backwater agriworld of Netat became the star attraction in the sector for the first time in the millenias of its existence.
Alrighty folks, all out war for you. Just about everyone is in combat now including the Chaos Spehss Marines.
To end any worries, there will be no loyalist space marines or inquisitors introduced in this rp.
"my guess is the prophet's in the throne room" padme called
"red group, blue group, everybody this way" panaka shouted to his men
"hey wait for me" the whingy mary sue called out
"sue, stay where you are, you'll be safe there" qui gon called back as he walked away
"but i...".
"stay in that cockpit"
they moved towards the blast doors, as they aproched they slid open, reveling a khorn beserker, he looked up
"we'll handle this" the scouts said, moving through the gaurdsmen
"we'll take the long way" padme said, moving away
the khorne bezerker brandished his chain axe, an archaic two headed weapon. the scouts pulled there own combat knives out of the sheaths, they blades glinted in the light. Just padme and panaka made their way to the door, a sqaud of havoks entered, opening fire with there heavy bolter. Gaurdsmen dived for cover behind the pillers returning fire, but there lasguns were not storng enough to peirce the havoks armour. Heavy bolter fire ripped across the hanger, small explosions chipping the colums and blowing open supply crates.
"we gotta do something RhoII" Sue said to his servitor, wired into the back of the cockpit
Just as the havoks opened fire, the bezerker charged swinging his axe, the scouts parried entering a dance that only an astarted could follow.
Sue thried to find the trigger for the lightnings lascannons, which would shread the havoks armour like paper, but the cockpit design was unfamiliar and he inadvertently hit the auto pilot, as the lighning started to move throught the hanger he found the trigger, obliterating the havoks. but he was on course for the battle around the chaos cruiser in high orbit
"let's go" Padme shouted and the remaining gaurdsmen hurried for the other exit

i'm stuck on how to resolve the firefight, so lets 40k two mins of episode one
A lone kitchen worker it seemed was pushing a trolley of pots and pans along in front of them.
Earl engaged the power field on his flail.
He stepped forward in the way of the cart, swinging the flail in a downwards arc into the cranium of the man. His head imploded, completely overwhelmed by the sudden drop of force.
"Move" Earl muttered
They went to the right, seeing a door inlaid with a purple looking metal.
Earl booted it open, his pistol at the ready.
Earl did not recognize the object that stood before him. He assumed it was a shrine of some sort, but to what he did not know.
"Close the door, we must examine this object" Earl barked
Rev'ex cackled madly, enthralled in the tortured screams of the Guardsmen, his whip cracking the air as he gyrated frantically bestowing his attentions upon one Shrieking Guardsman and then the next.
As the barbed whip shredded flesh,a litany of praises to The Lord of Dark Pleasures spilled from Revex lips...his eyes aflame with pink fire..purple lightning dancing in the air.
As the Guardsmen began to wail prayers to their impotent Corpse God,Rev'ex flew into a rage...his whip moving at a blur he scourged the Guardsmen...damning their cursed False Emperor...The Guardsmen ceased their prayers for the Emperor's deliverance and pleaded for Rev'ex to end their suffering.
" You see now Little Brothers" Rev'ex hissed " Your devotion to that Pathetic Corpse is useless...he does not hear your prayers...His divinity is false" Rev'ex held his dripping whip in the air " This..This my Brothers is real !"
The Guardsmen howled for Mercy as the whip fell again and again.
Standing on the line Nikev watched as the Fluvians smashed into the Chaos horde. It was a blood bath, man and daemon being torn alike.
"I don't like this." Narko, the companies scout, had walked beside him and was watching the battle just like everyone else. "Even the Emperor's finest and most loyal shouldn't throw their lives away in some suicidal charge like this. We Nucian's should have gone with them, maybe with our numbers we could have stood a greater chance at success and not have them waste their lives like this."
"Now," Nikev turned to the scout, "Thats some honourable thinking, but we were ordered to keep a defensive position while the Fluvians assault the tower. If we were to charge, it would leave the entire area open and exposed. We both know that command isn't going to let its precious honour guard boys be left by themselves to defend command."
"I say to hell with command."
"Now now, you know that there are those that give commands, and those that follow. We were born into the role of those that follow. And believe me, as much as I would like to ride into battle, I cannot because that was not my order." Nikev looked back toward the battle, a look of anger on his face for his fellow lost commissar Ezreal.
Hmph "We both know good and damned well that the entire Burning Knights regiment, and them some of the others, would gladly follow you if you were to charge into battle. Aiding our fellow guardsmen from the slaughter of chaos."
"You know what Narko," Nikev whistled his call to Manodire, "I doubt we'll make it back, but I'll be damned if we sit here while our comrades sacrifice themselves on our benefit. Besides," Nikev mounted Manodire and pet his head as he half growled half purred,"Pain is temporary. Honour, Eterenal."
Through the various stages of the guardsmens advance through the base and now finally where they have ended up, Ludias has tracked them and slowly discaovered their traits, now he eliminates them one by one, finally when there is only the commander left he drops the withered husks of the dead guardsmen next to him and dissapears into the shadows, cackling madly
Rev'ex slowly ascended from his chambers, his playthings having expired under the lash...he swooned...the screams of the Guardsmen still echoing in his ears.
" B'Kar!" The tormentor called " Prepare my transport..and..a Raiding force...I crave..excitement"
" By your command" B'Kar replied and rushed off to follow his masters instructions...
Rev'ex turned and stared from the Tower windows towards a mass of fleeing Guardsmen...an evil grin parted his lips as the pink flames once again appeared in his eyes..
" Run my little Brothers" Rev'ex hissed " The chase is always...exhilarating."
Rev'ex watched the Guardsmen with the interest of a child watching an anthill...Soon B'Kar appeared at his side.
" My Lord..Several squads stand ready" B'Kar announced " They merely await your command to move out.."
Rev'ex smiled " Then leave them wait no longer my trusted one...we move out at once."
Rev'ex descended into the vehicle pit...with B'Kar at his side.

Hmm...then I will work from the position that it was Nikev and the Nucians (..Ha,that sounds like a 60's band name).were the Imperials that caught Rev'ex attention.
Raising his sword high to the sky and shouting for all to hear NIkev stood beside his mount Manodire, "Men of Nucia! Our brothers fight for our sake, they seek to die in the name of Our Emperor and take all of the glory with them! I wish to deny them glory for it truly belongs to the Knights of Nucia! Charge Now against the enemies of mankind and show them the true Might of the Emperor!" Nikev, in a swift(and VERY stylish) move mounted Manodire who howled into the sky, his howl piercing the roar of the battle ahead.
The men of Nucia Charged forth from their defenses, lead by the Commissar Nikev Sism, Bastard Commissar of the Knights of Nucia. As the Army moved forward, Nikev watched as half of the regiments had passed him before he allowed Manodire to take off. The duo quickly gaining ground on the soldiers.

The battle of the Fluvian's and Daemons had been raging for a time now and death was strew accross the battle. Imperial soldier and Chaos Daemon alike were strewn across the battlefield as the remaining thousands alive continued to kill their opposing army.
No body heard the howl of the wolf that would signal the coming reinforcements for the Fluvians. But everyone heard the roar of the Nucians as they approached the chaotic battlefield. Smashing into the Daemons the Nucian's began aiding their Fluvian Allies with their very lives.
-
Riding low on Mandire, NIkev pulled out his sword and began hacking and slashing at the Daemons and Heretics that surrounded him. Impailing one daemon then slashing a Heretic, the fighting was nonstop and hell itself had seemed to open up on the Imperials as the fought against the monstrosities. "Push them Back!" Nikev managed to yell in a short momentary break in his personal combat. Only to be surprised by a heretic that lunged upon him and drug him off of Manodire. The beast running turning to tear the back out of the heretic with his teeth and claws.
Rising to his feet, Nikev and Manodire began the furious battle with the Daemonic Forces of Chaos again.
The roar of the assembled Marines greeted Rev'ex as he entered the Chambers..
" Brothers!!..We go to meet the forces of the Corpse God!!" Rev'ex roared " Bestow Upon them the Glorious Delights of Pain!!..Their screams shall be our songs..Their Bodies our Canvas...Their Death...OUR JOY!!!"
" For The Lord Of Dark Pleasure!!" The assembled squads bellowed
" For the Glory of Slaanesh!!" Rev'ex roared..
The Marines charged from the lower chambers in to battle.
Hmm...then I will work from the position that it was Nikev and the Nucians (..Ha,that sounds like a 60's band name).were the Imperials that caught Rev'ex attention.
Should be RPing shortly...
Well....generic Fluvian Guardsmen littered the battlefield fighting daemons....so it could also have been them.
Marines on foot and Rhino transports entered the fray..Doom Sirens wailing as Nucian and Fluvian alike grabbed their heads...eardrums rupture and under the sonic assault.
Bolter fire and Pinkish Flame washed over the stunned Guardsmen who were closest to the advancing squads of Slaanesh Marines...the Guardsman death cries filling the battlefield.
Rev'ex charged from his transport leading his squad into the mayhem, his senses alight with the joys of battle...he gleefully plunged his clawed fist into the chest of a follower of the false Emperor..tearing the mans heart from his body and devouring it...the tantalizing taste of the mans death filling Rev'ex with ecstasy.
In the distance...among a sea of Guardsmen and daemons...Rev'ex spotted a warrior of the Corpse God...a man whose obvious bravery enticed Rev'ex..." He will make an excellent prize for the Lord of Pleasure." Rev'ex whispered..
" B'Kar.." Rev'ex roared " I want that one!!...have the squad follow...we will take him!!"
Rev'ex stormed through the mass of fighting figures around him...occasional slaying ant Imperial who dared step in his way..his squad followed...bringing death to all around.
The Warrior of the Imperium and his beast hacked and gnawed their way into a sea of heretics..
" Glorious.." whispered Rev'ex as he unleashed his whip.
"For the Emperor and Our Lady!" Nikev shouted, plunghing his sword deep into a heretic. Dodging, weaving, and hacking away Nikev and Manodire had been kililng furiously for an unknown amount of time now.
A gush of fire followed by screams was heard, but it wasn't like Nikev hadn't been hearing that for a while now. He continued to hack and slash at the monsters and Heretics that tried to end his life when he heard a very distinct Crack of a Whip.
OOC:
I guess all thats left to do now is to wait for Nacho to roll them die....

Looks like we have ourselves a Character Battle...I wonder if Nachos will have Rev'ex fight both Nikev and Manodire??

Nope,
Seeing that just made me think about it and I'm going to PM nacho right away.
I'd suggest manodire be one of my 3 wounds, therefore if I loose a wound.....You'll see if I lose....which I won't

Hmm...does that mean that Rev'ex can use B'Kar for a shield if need be??
yeah im heading for the battleforce (chaos) for my bday, thatll give me the bits to make my jump lord perfect my chosen started and a whole heap of bits for conversions
Tyranic Marta wrote:yeah im heading for the battleforce (chaos) for my bday, thatll give me the bits to make my jump lord perfect my chosen started and a whole heap of bits for conversions
Good Deal...I recently discovered a whole slew of CSM bits in some boxes, with what I found..plus a few swaps I was able to build my Missus a 2000 point Slaanesh CSM army.
Noice, thats pretty awsome, yeah my chosen are getting black armour with gold highlights and veining on the shoulders and thighs, and tin blitz for the trim, same with the rhino, im also giving them space wolf furs that will be painted red

Ha,
your call entirely, though the way I proposed to Nacho is that the player still looses the wound, I just found it would be unfair if a player attacking Nikev would have to roll for Nikev AND Manodire.
Though now that I think about it....I pretty much just suggested a way that Nikev could 'survive' a lost encounter....

Actually I will have them fight, but B'kar and Manodire are going to be tools for the results RP, wounds will be attributed to the main character though.

everybody opened fire, the volly of shots making the traitors duck behind there cover.
"GO, GO!"
Marc sprinted from cover, fire paused as each person stopped as he ran into there scope, before he skidded in behind a rhino, he redied his melta as the squad lessened there fire. slowlt the cultists began to return fire, marc moved round to the edge of the rhino he was behind, the cultists blissfully unaware of him. he fired the meltagun, there was a whine as it powered up, then the pillar the cultists were behind exploded in a shower of molten rock. The cultists didn't even get a chance to scream as they vanished in puffs of superheated flesh.
He lobed a grenade behind the other colum, the tiny disk exploding as it hit the floor, sending shards of shrapnel into the others.
He waved the squad up and they charged forward, finishing off the rest of the dazed cultists.
"come on, lets go" Fett called, heading towards the other door.
Wow, that was a lot shorter than I had expected. I'm beginning to think that the dice gods favor Nikev, so I'll have to make it tougher for him. Unfortunately my hands are tied at the moment in terms of releasing a major event so I get to RP Nikev getting lucky again.
Nikev saw the chaos marine in front of him, a lash held limply in his hand. Manodire growled and waited for the signal to attack. Nikev readied his sword, the sun glinted off of the blade. The two warriors stood in ready for the attack of the other but neither would unleash the first strike.
Suddenly Rev'ex flicked his wrist and sent the lash at Nikev who managed to dogde the whip. Nikev screamed as he charged towards the marine, his sword gripped with both hands in preparation for a killing blow. Rev'ex waited until Nikev was in range before back handing him, sending Nikev sprawling to the ground.
"I thought you would have more fight in you." Rev'ex laughed as he stalked towards Nikev. Rev'ex heard a howl and turned to see a blur of fur leaping for his face. Manodire impacted with Rev'ex and sent the monster to the ground. Manodire began to bite at the facemask and left several gashes in the armor, but couldn't penetrate it. Nikev got up in time to see Rev'ex toss Manodire aside and prepared himself for another charge. Rev'ex was still busy with Manodire and had his back turned to Nikev. With the same stance Nikev charged silently towards Rev'ex who was intent on slaughtering the hapless animal that had attacked him.
"My lord!" B'kar yelled as he ran to intercept Nikev. Nikev noticed the charging marine and turned to face the new threat. His sword quickly moved to strike B'Kar. Nikev slid to the side to avoid B'Kar's punch and then lunged after the stumbling marine. Nikev's boots found footing on the marine's armor and ran up B'Kar's back before jumping up. The force from the jump was enough to cause B'Kar to fall face down, Nikev followed. The sword with the extra speed from the fall made a 'shink' noise as it pierced the rear of B'Kar's neck.
Nikev then swept the sword to the side to sever B'kar's head from his body. The helmet began to roll before Nikev spiked the head inside with his weapon and held it aloft like a trophy.
"For the glory of the Emperor!" Nikev yelled as his troops rallied behind him.
Rev'ex and his squad tried to hold back the charging marines. As their position was flooded Rev'ex looked Nikev in the eyes and saw a man with lightning in his eyes. Nikev looked at the warrior of the false gods and smiled, the marine's scarred helmet showed weakness. As a final taunt Nikev launched the helmet at the marines who were almost surrounded by guardsmen.
"Maybe next time your so called gods will show you favor." Nikev shouted to the retreating marines.
Sorry about the wait, I went to a thing called the "Hunter's Feast" on saturday and couldn't get on.

Its all good....Your temporary absesnce at the Huner's Feast only made reading the results that much better because of the Anticipation. To me at least.
I may have to do another RP to kick the story in the rear because it slowed. Overall I'm happy with the results from the RP so far, I was aiming for 25 page so I'm close to that goal.
Rev'ex stormed into the Towers Main Chambers, his squad at his heels, the fury at the loss of B'Kar gnawed at him as did the snug contempt of the follower of the Corpse God.
" That Dog shall pay for this insult!!" Rev'ex roared.." He shall pay with his very soul!!"
OOC: Win or lose, I do enjoy the fights between the characters... it may be alittle bit of happiness from winning too as you suggest
BIC: As the Marine's retreated back into the Tower, Nikev and the Guardsmen continued the hard fight that was raging still upon its very door. Ever eager to retake what was so long ago taken from the Fluvians.
After some discussion with the God Mod, Marta actually changed his character to a Possessed marine. I don't know if he changed it already, but that's what it went to instead of being a dred.
"My lord, you never knew what he did for this fortress did you?" without him this fortress will soon crumble beneath the tides of guardsmen, the skullscreamers need a new herald.. you have earned that right"

Rev'ex the Insatiable ...Herald of Slaanesh ...I like the sound of that...
Kelthad had waited long enough for the troops of the false god to get close to the fortress. With a wave of his hand a lesser broadcasted a message to the sorceror in charge of the tortured chorus in the depths of the Tall Tower's many chambers.
"Unleash the final chorus." the vox repeated in the chambers, the sorceror nodded and tuned the amplifier and the order the voices of the guardsmen would be sent.
A low bleating was all that the voices produced. The noise marines in the courtyard were unphased by the magicks in the noise while demons attempted to ignore it. The Fluvians near the fortress and in the fields began to bleed from their ears and noses as they gripped their heads in pain. The harm done by the magick wouldn't just kill the guardsmen, they continued to suffer as they collapsed to the ground.
Gregor sat shivering in the back of the command salamander. He gripped his mouth in pain as his chin began to split. Through blurry vision he could see the other Fluvians suffering, their mutations increasing. The entire rank of the Fluvian guardsmen began to mutate. The song would cause the full brunt of their mutations to take affect, it would change their minds, and it would change the course of the battle.
Nikev looked around as his comrades fell to the ground and began to change before his very eyes. His men looked on in disgust as bone began to pop and tear the skin of the guardsmen. Some grew horns, some grew talons, others turned into scaly representations of what they once were.
Kelthad laughed at the torment the Fluvians were suffering and laughed as they began to fight each other. Gregor couldn't help himself from strangling his adjutant, laughing while he did. The Nucian commanders could barely see what was happening but they prayed for the souls of the Fluvians and thanked thhe Emperor for the fact that their men weren't out there.
Gregor regained control of himself to see what he had done. He had killed his adjutant, he had damned his men, and he didn't care. He found himself free of guilt and filled with a joy he hadn't known for years. He looked at the battle map and saw his men being depleted and then ordered an assault. The Fluvians turned 180 degrees to face the Nucian lines before charging. Tanks crushed their infantry allies in a rush to get into battle.
Kelthad laughed as he prepared for the final step in his plans. He would have to sacrifice some of the Skullscreamers, but now that he had an army of mutated guardsmen he didn't need them.
Alright, Kelthad was a jerk and decided to use some magic. All Fluvians near the Tall Tower are now fully mutated pawns of Chaos. Nikev, you're surrounded so good luck to ya.
(ic) Hearing the screams from above Ludias momentarily loses concentration and the glamour slips, Re'vex gets a glimps of the writhing mass of tentacles spawning from the neck of the armour Ludias is wearing. "Ludias turns to a mildly fascinated Re'vex and the begins to rush to the tall nothern tower, "You must follow me!"
(ic) Ludias reaches the top of the tower swiftly, Re'vex following moments after, what Re'vex sees there makes him stop in his tracks, Tyranic Marta by all rights should have died and been destroyed when the deamon manifested through him, Re'vex saw it, but here he is chained in midair by glowing chains of golden light that seem to descend from the heavans, its the clone of Marta, the deamon possesed him at dawn, but becuase there was no tribute this clone had to be imprisoned, not allowed to die, but not allowed to truly live either.
Ludias turns to Re'vex, "take this" from the ground he takes the banner of the herald, two plasteel poles making a monting brace for it, and he hands it to Re'vex, this is yours now, he walks beneah the unconcious Marta and utters a few quick scentences in a language deamonic in origin that sets Re'vex's senses reeling in pleasure, its the speech of the prince himself, Slaaneshi.
Marta drops from his chains and Ludias catches him, Martas weight relitivly small for such a massive warrior, even his armour was modified for lightness. "I will drop him over the edge to end his suffering, and you will be the herald, but he cannot pay this price every day, it must always be the herald." Ludias walks to the edge, "Last chance to turn back."
Rev'ex stared at Ludias..his blood a flame...his eyes dancing with barely contained warp fire...every nerve alive with sensations the likes of which Rev'ex had never experianced..
" I shall pay the price.." Rev'ex whispered " Whatever it may be..."
Heads floated down the corridor, after the firefight in the hanger they ha all donned theIr cameoline cloaks, merging the shape of their bodies with the Colorado of the walls. They swept through the palace, clearing room to room and killing any cultists they discovered.
--
"hurry up, if we can get to the valkyries in the vehicle bay we can get away from here, back to the tower" the Prophet said
" we're going as fast as we can sire" one of the cultists breathed back, looking out of an eye where his mouth should be.
--
"Ma'am, coming down the corridor ahead, sounds like people"
Ludias grimly nods and throws the limp Marta of the roof. He walks over to Re'vex, "this will give you the information you need". Ludias touches a tentacle from his hand to Re'vex's forhead, immediatly re'vex is filled with the knowlege and memories of every herald of slaanesh from the last 10000 years. hHe drops to his knees "So much... so much..." and then an invocation to slaanesh springs to his lips sealing the transfer of information, The new herald of Slaanesh rises to his feet.
