The wings are a combination of Astorath the grims jump pack and Dark Eldar Scourges wings

St Cele is looking great too. I've got my eye on the same wings for the same model.

Update:

I want to give all of the DakkaDakka people a big thank you. I know that from November-now I have had scatter posts. The months have been a little Hectic.

First I had to put time as for finals for my college degree, then my family decides to have a civil war that end up drawing me into invoking thievery and my grandmother, fun right. After that my uncle passes away. Then some Financial problems of my own which hold me back from purchasing supplies for the project.

I tell you all this because you all deserve to know that I have not forgot my goal for this project, just have been set back a bit.

Armies on Parade is three months away and I am going for the goal. I will be entering into the Gamesworkshop the Cottman Ave store in Philadelphia, Pa. If you want to show your support and meet so that we can exchange stories, tip, and opinions, it will be there for the day.

I check posts everyday so comment, question, I am always around

Good evening Dakka

Once again, I must explain and reassure you all that I have not forgot you and the project at hand.

For the past month, I was stuck in the middle of a large commission job. Someone emailed me and made me an offer that I just could not refuse. I was requested to paint a 2500 Tau army and a 3000-point High Elf army within a month’s time. The agreement that was made was to paint them to a very good table top standard for tournament play, customer purchased good and offered me box and a half price to paint these armies before 5/18. I am happy with my paintjob however a part of my agreement with the person was that I could not post any of the armies’ pictures on to my dakka or warseer site, why? I have no idea but it was none negotiable.

Well! Back to the main project. I will have progress of the modified battle board for the sister. This will be the final touch for armies on parade that I need.

If you are new to the blog, check out the previous entries to catch up.

Those who been following the blog from the beginning, thank you and just wait to see what is next!

Thank guys

Theorius, the armies on parade is on June 29th at the Games-workshop Cottman Avenue store in Philadelphia Pa. I am mainly doing this for the stores Qualifier. I will not be going to the finals at games day if I win due to funds... I have none lol

This army is not being sold after the competition. This is being created for the awareness of a good cause. I intend to create a blog each year for armies on parade to represent a good charity. I do not intent to profit on these charity armies.

I do sometimes take on paint or modeling commission jobs to fund the creation of these armies

8 days left. Yesterday, I went to GW store and purchased some paints, glue, and propellant for my spray gun. This tool is what is going to save me for this project. I will be finishing up the top half for the battle board. Please note the this battle board in suppose to be a long abandoned imperial fort, the colors are not going to be the same as the army itself.

I hope people have been enjoying the blog so far.

I want to give you guys the back story of the imperial fort so that you will understand the reason why I have painted it in black and red instead of the army army colors of the sister,, grey and pink.

The lost fort is on the desert planet of Achillia Prime. The forts creator was the Black Templar. The fort itself was created for unknown purpose ( like the Templar would tell you). The fort has been Abandoned for over 200 years; however, the imperial guard on the planet, Achillian Gaurd, have strong ties to the secretive chapter.

Now a Chaos has Conquests across the stars to the Achillia sector. A Imperial Crusade of Imperial forces, Black Templar, and Sister of Battle lead by Saint Katherine are now bringing the Achillian sector back to the Imperial fold.

Just gone through this whole thread. Very very impressed with what you've done.

The battle board is great, probably a really simple answer but what did you use for the 'bricks'? I've been planning on making a piece of terrain kind of like that for ages now!

Good luck with Armies on Parade!!

I always wanted to do sisters, but they're so expensive for 1 squad. I was paying $60 for a squad that was less than MEQ, with no special weapons! Needless to say, only one squad got done, and that army was shelved. But I'd love to watch somebody else empty their wallet on them, especially if its for a good cause like this one.

Good luck with the army

Good evening all,

I am at the last four days until Armies on Parade. It has been a year long run that is almost at an end. For those who have been here from the beginning, I want to thank you for your long running support. For those who are new, I am happy that this project is enjoyable and entertaining.

Please all show the love share the blog if you can, tell a friend, and remember to check out armies on parade at your local GWs on June 29th and vote in your community.

I will have a little more to do but it is all little add-ons to the battle board. The sister models as well will have touch ups and final touchs to make.

Tell me what you all think of the project and maybe tell me what things you want to see in the future.

Looks fantastic.. love the AB lighting effect.. My only critiques would be the fade out the light more from the 2 lamps at the bottom of the ramp.. I think they should be a bit softer and the Source lighting should expand more and fade as it does. It looks too direct. The other lighting is fine. the LP lighting looks spot on.

The other would be to wash the model in a sepia. not the whole thin but the statues, and cracks and joins. give it some more depth.

IMO Anyway .. good luck and well done..

Now give us a shot with all the models on it!

Well prior in the blog I created a super heavy flier, this would have been a drop craft taken the tanks where they are needed. I hit a little snag with the super heavies, no room, as you can see from the completed picture. Well that is a good enough excuse I think lol

Thank you very much

5,500 dollars for the whole project (joking of course) but nowhere near the point value. At most the point value painted was only 1000 tops. The list that I added at the beginning of the blog as a reference was an 1850 list.

Good evening Dakka,

Armies on Parade is finally over, for me at least. I wish good luck to those who are going to the finals at Games Day. I promised the Dakka the completion of this project from day one, the goal, to the competition day, which I had. The Road to Armies on Parade has ended with Success, I made and army entry which I am proud of, at a theme which is educational as well as inspiring.

I am happy with what I have done here and now we are at a cross roads, what's next? I plan on making a new army for the next armies on parade. I do not know whether is will be fantasy or 40k, what army, or which charity to theme. When this decision is made I will be creating Road to Armies on Parade 2. For those of the faithful subscriber I will be adding the link to the new blog so that if you all want to follow the next project, you will no now where to go.

Now since the project is complete, I want to here from you guys, the faithful subscribers. Tell me what you all thing of the project. Ask the questions that you had on your mind. Or though some ideas out there of what you want to see for the next project. I will always answer if I am able.

I want to thank you all again, the Dakka community, for your support of this project.

Trust me, would have like to have taken it to games day, but it is too expensive for me. Memphis is too far for me to drive, to much money for me to fly, and I have no safe way to transport the battle board. If games day was down in Baltimore like it used to then I would have been there without a second thought. Next year me and some friends are talking about going to games to enter Golden Daemon. That will be a nice challenge as well.

Orks - Autism Awareness

Wood Elves- Rainforest Conserveration Awareness

If anyone has some suggestions, let me know I am currently stumped.
