Ok, so I'm coming into the RPG forums slowly, but surely. I've had experience with all this on games and such, so I figured I'd give running my own a go. I will be making the situations as you go, and be NPCs. PLAYERS: Mordoskul (1)- Name: Kaltos Faction: Chaos Space Marines Personality: Kaltos is an incredibly over-the-top villain with a tendency to monologue and break out into a song and dance about how he became so corrupted, and what he plans to do to his foes. He has a wonderful singing voice, and is accompanied by a trio of Warp-spawned mutants who sing backup for him. Appearance: See image History: Kaltos was born on a Space Hulk that was boarded by singing and dancing nurglings, who kidnapped him as a child and raised him as their own. He has met Abbadon himself, and found him lacking in rhythm. necronsftw (1)- Your Name: Nick Characters Full Name: Gaunty the Lonely Hormagaunt Faction: Tryanids Personality: A sad nid that wonder lonely and ponderously, usually makes pitched nosies. Appearance: See Image History: A lone gaunt who accidently went into an msyotic spore which was empty, later the FaQ said you could not do this, so Gaunty the lonely Hormaguant now wanders throughout the world it landed on! Luckly its IQ is higher than 6 so it could do daily functions! Now its mind has been restless for the past weeks and something darker is controlling its mind,could it be the hive mind at work again or could it be something far worse….only time will tell! Catos (1)- Your Name: Catos Characters Full Name: Catos Sonus Sicarius Faction: Space Marines Personality: Mostly Solemn and Space-Mariney but has a lighter side and a friendly side. Appearence: Classic Space Marine with Helmet Off with Hair History:Catos is the son of Ultramarines Captain Sicarius and is heir to the dukedom of Talassar. Catos however ran away from home and joined the Ultramarines chapter, unaware that his father was the captain of the second company. Catos showed great potency in close combat and was very lucky when it came to the small problem of plasma pistols. Nevertheless, he rose throungh the ranks and ironically was placed in the Ultramarines second company, much to the amusement of his fellow scouts. He was also remarkably proficcient in protecting his mind from the clutches of daemons, such as the assault on Ulthrax IX. He is also the bearer of the Shadowbolt Sword and an Ancient Plasma Pistol, masterfully crafted for the duchy of Talassar. Gathering Storm (1)- Your Name: Gathering Storm Characters Full Name: Matthias Denov Faction: Dark Angels Personality: He is mild tempered and fair. He has extremely devout to the Emperor and will kill those who speaketh his name in vain. Appearence: Matthias wears Mk IV Maxima pattern armour. He weilds an ornate Melta pistol and chainsword. History: It is unknown when Matthias was indorned into the Dark Angels. However, records suggest that he was transfered from the Consecrators to serve with the parent chapter. OVERVIEW This is based on another RPG by Blood Reaper (Leveling System, Multiple Choice) which I love, and feel enhances the play. This will be a 40K RP, where you start as a low ranking member of your race/chapter, and rise through the ranks (Levels) by RPing. This is a completely open RPG, meaning you can, if you choose, become a heretic guardsmen if the chance permits it. You get the point, Loyal Marine->Chaos Marine, Guardsmen-> Heretic, etc... STORY Operation Corpiaan: Corpiaan: A planet in a far away galaxy, that was, until now, unknown by the Imperium. However, scouting missions have resulted in confirmed high amounts of natural resources, and plenty of space for a city. However, they have also confirmed many local Ork warring tribes, remote Daemon worshiping shrines, bandit tribes, and a “Sleeping” Tyranid Hive. The Imperium, has decided to ignore the risks to reap the benefits, and has sent an Imperial Colonization force. The fleet, consisting of artisans, soldiers, politicians, and civilians, totaled in at about 4 million people. With reinforcements ready to be called in from many chapters and companies, the Emperor felt confident of his decision. However, he was wrong, upon seeing the fleet arrive and settle, the Ork tribes united against the Imperium making an enormous WAAAGH!. Meanwhile worshippers began to scheme a plan to attract chaos to the planet that would soon be at all out war. The colony was forced to step up defenses due to large amounts of raids from bandits, along with Orks, eventually, reinforcements were called and are pending now. The Tyranid Guants begin to tunnel through the earth, and feed their Tyrant, while the Tau Empire set their eyes on the new found planet for expansion. Who will win the war for Corpiaan? You decide! PLANET: Planet Name: Corpiaan Planet Function: Colony Government: Anarchy Planet Type: Terrestrial Terrain: Forest, Ice, City Gravity: Standard Atmosphere: Type I (Breathable) Length of Day: 27 Hours Length of Year: 225 Days Hydrosphere: Moderate Temperature: Temperate Population: 700,000,000 Starport: Limited Services LEVELING SYSTEM: This RP features a leveling system which, as you roleplay, you will "level up". This means you will gain a rank, or evolve into something greater than what you were, I.E- Scout to Tactical Marine. You can of course say no to a level up and stay what you are until you get to what you want. I.E- You stay a scout, and become a very skilled marksmen, until becoming an assault marine. SITUATIONS: Your character will encounter various situations with various different solutions, this will be in multiple choice form. Example... Your ambushed by a squad of Kommandos, do you... A.) Fight them off, dirty Greenskins know nothing of your skill. B.) Try to bribe them with cash, they are greedy in nature...right..? (Not a question from me, it is a risk.) C.) Run for your life from the hulking monsters. D.) Attempt to fall back to a better firing position, this should give us a chance to fight...if we make it.. You choose your answer, and I will post the consequence, sometimes it will pay off other times it will end up badly. This also allows you to join different factions, groups, or even adopt others in your group. RULES: -Maximum of one character, if you need two tell me with a good reason you need another. (NO Squads) -Must be semi active, I.E- Not once a week, as you will fall way behind. -Be respectful of my consequences, and don't "Cry" if you didn't get what you want. It was your choice, you pay, there will be other chances presented to you. Mordoskul "Kaltos" (1)-
Kaltos strides down the hall continuing the ballad.
As he steps foot in the drop ship the stink of Nurgle surrounds him.
As his fellow cultists join him they take their seats, as they launch the blackness of space passes by them.
Upon reaching the atmosphere, turbulence occurs, and Imperial Flak fire cuts down multiple crafts, including one of the planes wings. Now only running on one engine, the plane tilts, and begins it's plummet towards the ground.
Kaltos and his backup brace for landing by breaking down in an, "It's going down, it's going down" Song.
The back door of the plane opens, and several cultists jump out hoping that Father Nurgle will save them.

After a few seconds it is gone and you find yourself on a Ship.

You nod your head and show the guardsmen to him.

You drag the poor guardsmen to the armory, where you find a suit of power armor festering with rot.
You grin and have it put on, then grab a boltgun.
You are told to report to the lord again in 6 hours, in that free time you go to a sorcerer for your guardsmen.

The sorcerer smiles and says, "I hope you enjoy your new toy..."
You bring him with you to the Lord and get your new mission.
You are to lead a squad of Marines into an Imperium fort, and then secure a bunker to summon daemons for your Lord.
Several hours later you are on the ground and begin your assent to the fort.
Your squad walks about 4 miles until reaching the bottom of the cliff, the fortress sits on top of it.

A: Attempt to fight your way up the winding road to assault the main gate with brute force.
B: Rappel to the side of the fort, and blow the wall to enter through shock.

Here's an alternitive option; send my pet into the fort, allowing him to spread the pox of NUrgle, all the while bespelled to appear just as he was before joining our ranks. Once again, I shall propose another solution: Perhaps a squad of Plague Marines (FEEL NO PAIN) can raid the basilisks, allowing the rest of the army to catch the Imperials in a sweeping advance. Better yet, have the traitor guardsmen lead the charge, I don't think any of them will be prepared to fight an army of their former brothers-in-arms.
